Last chapter left us off with the news of Christine moving in with Sheamus. This chapter will include a huge surprise. No spoilers until you read this. Without further ado, here is Chapter 8.
Chapter 8
Two days later….
Everyone pitched in to help Christine move in with her white chocolate Irishman. Drew and Christina took Angela to her parents' house so they can babysit her before they went to help Christine move. The girls helped pack her things in boxes, the guys carried the boxes to the car. It was an exhausting, but exciting two days to help her move in. Thank goodness she decided to move in before Christmas, which was three days away. While everyone was getting ready to celebrate Christmas, Denise was feeling anxious about Randy opening his Christmas gift. Before she wrapped up his gift, she went to the doctor alone to get a sonogram for their baby without his knowledge. She got quite a surprise.
"Mrs. Orton, according to the sonogram, you are ten weeks along and you are not expecting just one baby, you are expecting twins." The sonographer told her.
"What?! I'm expecting twins!" Denise replied, shocked.
"Yes, ma'am. The last time we met, you heard one heartbeat from one twin. Today you heard the heartbeat from the other." The sonographer explained to her.
"No wonder why I was going to the bathroom so much these past two weeks." Denise told the sonographer.
"Congratulations! I will tell the doctor to make an appointment for you after the new year to determine the sex of your babies." The sonographer told her.
"Thank you so much! Is it possible for me to have a picture of the sonogram so I can surprise my husband with the news?" Denise asked.
"Absolutely. This will be a nice Christmas present for him." The sonographer agreed.
"You read my mind." Denise replied.
A few minutes later, the sonographer gave Denise the sonogram picture of the babies. Denise cannot wait to see Randy's face when he finds out he will be a father to twins. She went to the front desk to make the appointment for the gender reveal after the new year. Fast forward to the present day, Denise was super excited to celebrate Christmas. She thought of an idea, planning a Christmas Eve celebration with everyone. That way she can have her husband open his Christmas present in front of everyone.
"Hey, baby. I have an idea." Denise told Randy.
"What you got, babe?" Randy asked.
"How about having a Christmas Eve celebration with everyone here in our house?" Denise suggested.
"Babe, I love it! Let's set it up!" Randy agreed.
"Awesome!" Denise said, excitedly. "We can have them chip in for food, and we can cook a ham for everyone."
"Yummy. Babe, I like the way you think." Randy said, smirking.
"Don't even think about it, Viper." Denise replied, smirking.
"This is why I love you. You keep me on my toes." Randy told her.
"I love you more, my handsome Apex Predator." Denise said.
They kissed each other and started making phone calls to everyone to come over to their house on Christmas Eve. Meanwhile, at Jack and Cherry's house, Cherry suggested to her husband they should bring their gifts they got for Denise and Randy so they can open them before midnight.
"Sweetheart, I just thought of something." Cherry told him.
"What are you thinking about, Princess?" Jack asked her.
"How about we take the gifts we got for them so they can open them in front of us?" Cherry suggested.
"That's not a bad idea, Princess. I'm in!" Jack agreed.
"Perfect! It's settled." Cherry replied.
After their talk, Cherry received the call from Denise to bring some food to the party. Cherry thought of making macaroni and cheese and potato salad. Jack and Cherry packed up their gifts to take to them.
Drew and Christina were playing with Angela when they got the call to come over to Denise and Randy's house for their party and to bring in a dish to eat. Drew came up with the idea to make chicken wings, while Christina will make white rice and red beans. Cherry called them to bring their gifts they bought for Denise and Randy. They agreed and packed the gifts. Without looking, Christina packed the gifts she got for her girls. She cannot wait to see their expressions when they open them. Sheamus and Christine were chilling in the living room with their dogs when they got the call from Denise to come over; Cherry called them afterwards to bring their gifts for Denise and Randy and to cook a dish. Sheamus agreed to cook pork chops, while Christine will cook baked ziti. They packed the gifts, took their dogs for their walk, and relaxed the rest of the day. They are looking forward to seeing everyone celebrating Christmas Eve together, as a family.
Christmas Eve has arrived; Everyone started cooking their respective dishes to bring over to Denise and Randy's house. Around towards the late afternoon, everyone finished cooking and packed it. Randy and Denise finished cooking the ham, took it out and let it simmer to let the juices flow. They took their shower, got dressed and waited for everyone to come. About an hour later, everyone arrived with the food and gifts. They greeted each other with hugs and are very excited to spend Christmas Eve together.
"Bestie, you look beautiful!" Christina told Denise.
"Love, you look gorgeous after having Angela!" Denise replied. "How did you manage to lose the baby weight?"
"It wasn't easy, but Drew helped me with the process, and I couldn't be happier." Christina told Denise.
"You are lucky to have him by your side. He is one of a kind." Cherry replied.
"You got that right!" Christina told Cherry.
"I am so excited to spend Christmas Eve with all of you!" Christine said, excitedly.
"So are we, lovely!" Denise replied, happily.
Everyone got settled, put the gifts near the Christmas tree and started assorting the foods they cooked for everyone to eat. The aroma of the different foods was exhilarating, making everyone feel hungry. Ten minutes later, everyone took their seats around the dinner table. Christina stood up and told everyone to hold their hands to say grace. She started to speak.
"Thank you, God, for gathering us together for this special occasion." Christina started to say. "We are blessed everyday to have everyone here, please continue to protect and guide us and our families from evil and may we have a prosperous Christmas and New Year, from Christ our Lord, Amen."
"Amen!" Everyone said. They sat down, started eating their food. Christina was feeding Angela a small plate of Mashed Potatoes that her aunt made before coming here. After Angela finished, she started eating. About thirty minutes later, everyone finished eating, helped Denise and Randy clean up and were getting ready to gather around the Christmas tree. Drew and Christina took Angela upstairs to change her diaper. Let's say she left them a stink bomb after she ate. A few minutes later, they came downstairs to join the group. Denise put on some music, and everyone started dancing. Sheamus picked up Angela and started dancing with her. It was a sweet wholesome moment to witness. The music started winding down and everyone was gathering around the Christmas tree.
"First off, I want to thank you all for coming over to celebrate Christmas Eve with us!" Denise started. "It's 11:00 PM, which means it's time to open up our Christmas presents!"
"Woohoo!" Cherry cheered.
"First I want to give my hubby his gift. Here you go baby!" Denise said and gave the Christmas gift to Randy. Denise was feeling excited yet nervous about her husband's reaction. Randy unwrapped his gift and it was the sonogram picture of the babies. Next to it there is a note: "My Apex Predator, we are not expecting one baby. We are having twins! Merry Christmas my love! Love you always and forever!" Randy looked at his wife with a shocked but happy expression on his face.
"Sweetheart, is this for real?" Randy asked her.
"Yes, baby. It's the real deal. We are having twins!" Denise told him. Randy got up with tears in his eyes, hugged and kissed her with so much love. Everyone was shocked but excited to hear the news. They gathered around and congratulated them.
"Holy shit! Bestie, you are having twins! Is this the surprise you wanted to tell us?" Christina asked Denise.
"Absolutely! My plan worked out perfectly!" Denise replied.
"I couldn't be happier! Congrats, lovely!" Cherry said, happily.
"Double trouble!" Christine told Denise.
Denise was overwhelmed with joy and happiness. She also breathed a sigh of relief upon revealing the news to Randy.
"Congrats, bud!" Drew told Randy.
"Lad, you are going to have fun with your twin babies!" Jack said.
"I bet he's going to teach them to do the RKO when they get older." Sheamus told them.
"You're not wrong about that." Randy said, laughing.
Everyone else gave Denise and Randy their gifts and they loved all of them. It was after midnight, which means everyone was getting ready to head out to their homes. Denise and Randy thanked everyone for coming. Angela reached out for Randy, giving her a big kiss and hug, whispering in her ear she will be expecting twin cousins. Angela cooed at the thought. Everyone said their goodbyes and went home. Denise and Randy held each other, delighted with the surprising news of them expecting twins. Feeling exhausted, they went upstairs, changed into their pajamas, and went to sleep with happiness in their hearts.
"Merry Christmas, sweetheart." Randy said.
"Merry Christmas, my sexy Viper." Denise replied.
On Christmas morning, everyone decided to do a video chat so they can see them open their Christmas presents. Denise, Cherry, and Christine loved their gifts, especially the necklace Christina got for each of them. Randy and Denise loved the gifts they received, even Sheamus and Christine were thrilled with what they got for Christmas. Drew was especially happy to receive his gift from everyone, especially from his wife. While he was unwrapping his gift, his blue eyes started to tear up from seeing the gift Christina made for him. Seeing his mother and their family picture with baby Angela in a picture frame made him feel emotional and happy. He hugged and kissed his wife, while holding and kissing his baby girl. In his eyes, he is blessed to have his girls with him in his life.
Sheamus and Christine couldn't be happier with everything that has taken place so far: Moving in together, planning their upcoming wedding and celebrating Christmas together with their extended family. With New Year's Eve coming up, they could not wait to start off the new year right and make sure their upcoming nuptials will go on as planned with no interruptions.
