Chapter 19:

Doing The Hula

The Mane 8 have managed to make their way to the Castle Of Harmony without being spotted. But now they must find a way to get to Chrysalis. Sneaking up to the ledge of the Castle Of Harmony, The Mane 8 peeked out from behind a building to see and observe a horde of Diamond Dogs blocking their path, lounging and chewing on bones. They must find a way to get past them.

"Ugh, Diamond Dogs. Why did it have to be Diamond Dogs?" Rarity moans while observing the lazy mutts. Not forgetting the time she was once bullied by three dogs when she was a filly.

"So what's your plan for getting past those guys, Twilight?" Rainbow Dash whispered to the Alicorn. Wondering just how they were going to do everything.

"Simple. Live Bait," Twilight replied quietly with a grin.

"Good Idea," Rainbow agreed softly until she caught what Twilight meant and scowled at her in annoyance, "Heeeey!".

"Come on, Rainbow. You girls have to create a diversion," Twilight whispered.

"And whatcha want me to do? Dress in drag and do the Hula?" Rainbow Dash asked incredulously, Twilight just smirks and Rainbow immediately regrets her own words.

2 Minutes Later…

Once the girls are positioned, Rainbow, blushing red, hissed, "We take this shame to our graves!".

The girls nodded in agreement. This was so embarrassing, but they had to help.

The things you do for friends.

They sighed and sucked in their pride and initiated the plan.

The Diamond Dogs suddenly perked up from the sound of loud drumming and looked over and behind their shoulders to see Rarity, Applejack, holding a guitar, and Rainbow Dash dressed in hula outfits decorated with gems while Fluttershy and Pinkie were set up with apples in their mouths. The music sung was a Hawaiian War Chant, much like the Spike Jones arrangement.

Rarity, Rainbow Dash, and Applejack started singing and dancing in their hula costumes as they point to Fluttershy and Pinkie…

Rainbow Dash: LUAU!

Applejack: If you're hungry for a hunk of tasty and delicious meat…

Rarity: Eat our friends Pinkie and Fluttershy here because they are a treat…

Rainbow Dash: Come on down and dine on these tasty equines.

All you have to do is get in line.

The Diamond Dogs are immediately drawn to the Mane 5 both with the greed of the gems and licking their lips and lolling their tongues in hunger. They were so hungry they would eat anything. And the ponies looked good enough to eat. They were willing to try anything at this point.

Rainbow noticed them closing in and continued singing...

Rainbow Dash: Are you achin'?

Fluttershy: Yup, yup, yup.

Rarity: To have some more?

Pinkie Pie { Winking At Her Friends }: Yup, Yup, Yup!

While they were distracting the Diamond Dogs, Twilight, Flash, and Cadance started slowly tip-toeing past them from behind to the Castle as The Mane 5 continued singing to buy more time…

Applejack: They're two tasty horses.

Fluttershy and Pinkie: Yup, yup.

Rainbow Dash: You could be a tasty horse too. Oy!

After finally finishing their song by striking a pose, the Mane 5 realized that they were a few seconds away from being eaten, so they did the smartest move possible…

"AAAAAHHHHH!" They screamed and ran, or flew, away in fear while the Diamond Dogs began to chase them growling and barking in hot pursuit. Whether or not they got away safely and what happened after.

…Well, that's a whole other story.

Author's Note: Now there's something you don't see everyday in Equestria...

In this chapter, The Mane 8 have so far made it to the Castle without getting spotted. But now they must find a way to get past the Diamond Dogs that blocking their path. When Rainbow Dash asked Twilight what her plan is, the Alicorn Princess replied that they need live bait to distract them, which is something that Rainbow Dash didn't want to do.

But unfortunately, the Mane 5 have to distract the Diamond Dog and they did it by doing...The Hula, which is very funny and catchy. But to the Diamond Dogs...lunch and dinnertime. While the Mane 5 were distracting them, Twilight, Flash, and Cadance saw their chance and sneaked past them to get to the Castle to confront Chrysalis.

And to bring this chapter to a close, The Mane 5 have finished their song and ended up being chased by the Diamond Dogs.

Did they get away or not?

Well, we'll have wait for a another rewritten story to find out, after all, that's a whole other story.
