Chapter 2
Octavia and Volt rushed back with one last survivor. They had tried to find anyone else, but all the others had been killed by the alliance.
"Lotus, we have found another!" Volt shouted.
"Bring them to me." She said as Volt carefully placed the child on the ground.
Volt found it strange ever since the Lotus had killed Ballas, she had begun to obtain all types of new abilities. This included healing and restoration.
"Who is this man? He wears such strange armor?" Octavia asked as she looked over Nathan. Only Excalibur and Gara had ever seen the face of Nathan.
"I do not know who he is, but your fellow Tenno says it was the man that helped you on the Zariman Ten Zero." The Lotus replied.
"Of course! Only engineers were able to wear this energy resistant armor." Volt said.
"Energy resistant?" The Lotus asked.
"Yes this armor was able to protect the wearer from extremely high levels of radiation for long periods of time. It was also theoretically supposed to be able to protect the wearer from the Void's energy for very short periods of time." Volt explained.
Before the Lotus could respond, the entire area was engulfed in light and Grineer and Corpus troopers surrounded everyone.
"This is not Good." Octavia said.
"Give up your arms or watch everyone here die." A Grineer Capitan ordered.
Tenno...lay down your arms." The Lotus reluctantly said.
"This is why you should never be on the battlefield." Volt told the Lotus.
"It doesn't matter, I will do what I can for humanity." The Lotus replied.
The Grineer Troopers approached the Tenno and their Lotus. But before anything could happen. Someone yelled extremely loud.
"Aaaah! Where the hell am I!?" The voice shouted. The Tenno and Lotus turned to the source of the voice.
"What is this place, is it another dream?" Nathan asked.
"This is no dream human." The Captain said as he aimed his gun at Nathan.
He pulled the trigger.
"No!" The Tenno yelled.
The Lotus observed their anger and desperation. And then she saw it twist into astonishment.
"W-what?" The Tenno asked in unison.
"What just happened?" Nathan asked.
"I-I shot you!" The Capitan yelled.
"Yes, and?" Nathan replied.
"You should be dead!" The Grineer shouted.
"I wish that was the case unless. Wait, what planet am I on?" Nathan asked.
"Earth." The Lotus said.
"Ha. Hahahaha. AHAHAHAHA! Yes! I'm out! After ten thousand years I'm finally out! I'm home baby! Home!" Nathan yelled at the top of his lungs.
The Lotus was shocked at Nathan's exclamation. It hadn't even been a millennia since the Zariman Ten Zero had made contact with the Void.
"Wow, am I happy to be back! Now can someone tell me what is going on right now?" Nathan asked as he looked around.
"You were about to be killed by the Grineer." Octavia said.
"The what now? What are the Grineer? Are they aliens?" Nathan asked so many questions that made the Lotus even more convinced that he had drifted in the Void for thousands of years.
"Who are you?" The Grineer Captain asked.
"Nathan Vahn, Subhead Engineer of the Zariman Ten Zero. Charged with maintenance and routine checks on the Void Engine." Nathan replied.
The Void Engine was a device of Orokin design specifically meant for opening a pathway through the Void to traverse long distances. There were no flaws in the design.
"You seem to be a valuable asset." The Captain said.
"Ok?" Nathan asked.
"Listen, you are making a mistake." Octavia said to the Captain.
"Am I?" The Captain asked with a smile.
"Are you?" Nathan asked the Grineer Captain.
Nathan walked over to the Captain and asked, "What authority do you have here?" Nathan asked all the Grineer.
"I order you to back down!" The Captain yelled.
"I take orders from no one but the Captain of the Zariman Ten Zero, and he's dead." Nathan said with a smirk.
"Listen, you already shot me once. Do you think it will work again?" Nathan asked with a daring tone.

Gara didn't remember much after the Zariman Ten Zero incident. It was like a part of her life was missing. It was still there, but she couldn't remember it. It was a strange feeling, and not even the Lotus knew she had lost memories.
However, she had begun to remember things after the Zariman when Nathan had returned. She already has two years of memory returned to her.
"Gara, are you alright?" Excalibur asked with concern for their friend.
"I'm fine. I just…don't know how to go forward with what has just happened." Gara said. "Will he even recognize us?" She asked Excalibur.
"Considering the fact that we pilot Warframes, I doubt it." Excalibur replied with a chuckle.
"My children, we are in a predicament." The Lotus said through a transmission.
"Well, looks like we have to fight again." Excalibur said as he sprinted ahead.
"Yeah." Gara said as she followed behind him.

"Can you not point swords at my face?" Asked an uncomfortable Nathan.
"So you are weak to swords?" The Captain asked.
"Now I didn't say that." Nathan said with a carefree smile.
"Why are you not concerned for your life?" The Lotus asked with a puzzled expression.
"Lady, when you drift in an endless void of nothingness for thousands of years. You begin to wish for death. At this point, I'm not afraid of anything except going back to that forsakened space." Nathan explained.
"What have you seen in the Void?" The Captain asked.
"Nothing. All I saw was endless, hungry power." Nathan replied as he huffed.
"You are coming with us." The Captain said as he further threatened Nathan.
"I'm sorry. Please put that down before one of us gets hurt." Nathan said as he pushed the sword away.
"You are my prisoner and you will do as I say unless you want everyone here to die." The Captain said in a firm voice.
"I'm sorry, but is this guy bothering you?" Nathan asked the Lotus.
"You could…say that." The Lotus replied.
"If I get rid of him, will you help explain to me what's going on?" Nathan asked.
"I don't know what to think of that deal." The Lotus replied.
"Can you please leave." Nathan said.
"A polite question will get you nowhere," the Grineer Captain responded.
Nathan threw a punch at the Captain and he was incinerated.
"It wasn't a question." Nathan said with cold eyes.
"What have we just awakened?" The Grineer asked themselves.
"Nathan Vahn, you are a dangerous man." The Lotus thought to herself.
