Iruma walked with wide eyes. "I've never seen a private plane so fancy looking." If he ever went to a private one it was usually rusty and probably exploded. "You must be super rich, Bunny-sensei."
"Eh, I've saved up a few million yen on the side, but nothing major." His teacher shrugged. "I've never had a need for anything too fancy, but perks like this always make life more interesting. I'm just glad you'll be able to enjoy part of your summer with me."
He was too, it was still surprising how eager his parents were for this to happen. 'I-island! Our boy is making great connections!' 'That money will be here in no time!' 'Get him a semi decent bag!' His parents were acting really weird, he was getting a bad feeling from it all. "So you've been to America? I've had a few jobs there occasionally, but I never really had time to look around."
"The strangest and most fun place on earth." All Might smiled. "Mechanical men, a shapeshifting watch, a quirk that makes one a ghost."
"Huh, the strangest thing I've seen over there was this weird 'hack' place I worked in. I saw a floating tortilla chip in a top hat." The owner's nephew and niece were really nice, the girl hugged him alot during his time there.
"Hmm, I also have a friend there, Cathy. She says I'm her inspiration, but honestly she's stronger than I could ever dream of being." He laughed as Iruma kept his eyes open. Stronger than All Might? That was a thought.
He placed his bag into a compartment and sat in a comfy seat. "So how long should it be?"
"It is about a nine hour flight, so best you get your rest now, and don't be afraid to help yourself to whatever's available. I don't have much of a stomach for it anyways."
Oh yeah, that made him wonder. "How do you eat if you don't have a stomach?"
"Intensive surgery. I have something vaguely resembling one, though I can only really consume soups and other liquids nowadays."
"Sounds like a nightmare." Iruma spoke honestly. He couldn't imagine not being able to eat what he wanted, or needed to at any moment. That was a big part of how he's survived! Iruma was glad to still have his stomach.
Todoroki wasn't glad to still have his stomach. "Oh, you've gotta try these chocolate strawberries, they're amazing." Kaminari spoke, holding one out to Yaoyorozu. The girl just smiled and accepted it like a dog treat. He could barely stand being around romance whenever Natsu hung around his girlfriend, and he had to endure ten hours of this schmaltz happening right next to him.
Iida wasn't faring too well either. "Have neither of you heard of the concept of PDA?" He asked them.
Kaminari was the only one to look genuinely surprised. "What? I'm just sharing food. I've never been first class before. By the way, thanks Yaomomo, I didn't expect you to have a ticket to I-island."
"It was sent to my family, they offer funding for a few projects here and there." The girl explained. "They told me I could bring up to two guests with me, but Jiro declined my offer for some reason to travel with us. She'll be arriving there, with the others sometime later." He could tell why, it was to avoid this. "I'm more surprised Iida and Todoroki were coming."
"It's Summer vacation, any time away from the house is better." Todoroki shrugged. Sure he forgot his father, but that didn't mean he wanted to be around him.
"And I need support gear, I'd rather not run into the horrid woman known as Mei Hatsumei once more." Iida spoke with a glint of resentment.
"So you came to avoid your girlfriend?" Kaminari snickered.
"I am not romantically involved with that mechanical menace, nor will I ever entertain such a notion on any conceivable level."
"That means they'll get together eventually." Yaoyoruzo agreed with a laugh of her own. "If you're constantly denying it, it's bound to happen eventually."
"You're a respectable Class President, Yaoyoruzo, but I must greatly disagree with you. I've avoided all contact with that menace since the festival, and I intend to keep it that way for the rest of my life."
"He's just Hakado, he was a tsundere for Jinabe for a solid year-" The president started.
"Until the dimensional invaders came in." Kaminari finished. He could almost see the hearts in Yaoyoruzu's eyes. Damn it, maybe he should have flown with the others, they were probably having a good time.
"I bought croissants, inspired by Aoyama as the least likely sweet to spill if I ran." Sato offered it to everyone.
"Thank you!" Ashido, Uraraka, Tsu, and Jiro quickly grabbed their own. "Still warm and flaky~" The girls said in ecstasy.
"Don't forget to savor it, this might be the only time we can enjoy Sato's baking without any chance of Iruma taking it all." Sero said, grabbing one of his own.
"I can't believe he got a private plane to I-island, how crazy is that?" Jiro asked.
"I stopped believing in crazy at this point, somehow it just stops having an upper limit." Uraraka added in, taking another bite. "Not like he doesn't deserve it, passing exams and all."
"Yeah, was he really the only one that got credited during that hostage class?" Ashido laughed, reminding them of their failure. "Wow, Bakugo must've blown a fuse at that."
"No kidding, I don't know if he wanted to kill Iruma or Aizawa more. Cementoss trapped him in the ground just to play it safe." Sato answered.
"What does Kirishima see in him?" Tsu asked, swallowing another bite. "For that matter what does Iruma see in him?"
"Iruma would just be friends with everyone." Uraraka smiled. "That's how he is … like being friends with Shigaraki …" Right, the mall incident.
"My brain would probably stop working if I actually saw that conversation in person for a second time." Jiro shuddered. "I don't even think he understands the difference between heroes and villains. It sounds like he thinks it's just people disagreeing with each other."
"Or rather his parents taught him to be morally flexible with anything as long as it helps them gain money." Tokoyami added. "Revelry in the dark."
"So is anyone, like, actually doing anything about that?" Sero asked the group.
"I have a small chat going on with Hagakure and Iida. The former is sneaking in and filming anything she can find on the situation, the latter is checking all legal options we can exploit." Uraraka explained. "If all else fails, I'm sending them into the sun where no one can find the bodies."
"Ochako no." Tsu scolded. "You're better than murder. We'll just take Iruma and hide him away somewhere if worse comes to worse." Kidnapping doesn't sound any better. "Where is Toru anyway? I didn't think she'd miss a chance to hang out with Iruma on an island."
"She wouldn't, but she somehow disappeared, along with her ticket." Uraraka whistled that last part. This class was getting a little morally gray for a school of heroes.
Mineta sat back, completely frustrated with the situation at hand. Against his better judgment, to save on money, he entered Delta Air Lines, the worst airlines that somehow made it post quirk era. He could complain … but someone was doing a much better job. "WHAT DO YOU MEAN WE'RE NOT ALLOWED ON THE PLANE!"
"It's being cleaned sir, you'll have to wait until it's over." The girl had boobs of steel to stare at her phone and blow bubble gum while saying that to Bakugo.
"LISTEN TO ME YOU DAMN EX…"
"Yo, Bakugo, slow down bro, I-Island's not going anywhere, we can wait a little longer." Kirishima, the only other one from their class here, and somehow Bakugo's plus one on the trip. Who knew constantly pestering the angriest boy in class could pay off?
"... When … will the cleaning … be over." Bakugo tried asking again with an impressive amount of restraint for him.
"A few hours, maybe a day."
"FUCK THA…"
"And we're done here." Kirishima dragged the boy back to the waiting area. "It's still for free, so let's just take what we have."
"I'm surprised you got him to last this long." Mineta spoke up. "Delta Air seemed like his breaking point for murder."
"Very, very, close." Bakugo growled out menacingly.
"Yeah, but the prize for the Sports Festival were the tickets, and we couldn't change airlines." Kirishima groaned.
"Very cheap prizes." Mineta answered. "But at least you have tickets for free, mine took a bit out of my cash vault." He'd have to get a job. Damn you Kaminari, traitor, flying with the biggest boobs in 1-A. "Everyone else either got first class or another airline. Iruma's even traveling with All Might on his own private…" The air suddenly grew hotter and Mineta realized he shouldn't have said that last part out loud.
"Even…when…I beat him…I…still LOSE!"
"Now, now man, calm yourself." Kishima tried patting the man on his shoulder. "Once we get there you can show him up or something, there's gotta be an event right?"
"This is the flight to I-island, we're leaving. If you weren't on, screw you."
Bakugo went deadly silent again. Oh no. "Kirishima, Mineta, stay back. I got a plane to blow up." From heroism to domestic terrorist. It was quite the slippery slope. No one could possibly be having it worse than them right now.
Toru coughed up a hairball. "Damn animals, I can barely breathe in this air." But that's what she got for not noticing soon enough where Iruma-kun was going. Now she had to sneak in cause she couldn't afford legal tickets.
Well, she could've, but Ochako told her about the class trip at the very, very, VERY last minute, most likely in an attempt to keep Iruma-kun on an Island all to herself! As if, she vowed to watch over him at all times! After that disaster with Shigiraki at the mall, there was no way she would go a day without keeping an eye on him.
"So this must be what it's like to be Iruma-kun before UA." She recounted his many contextless stories of travel disasters his bastard parents put him through. Too bad Iruma-kun might get arrested for illegal border crossing if she exposed the parents for that. She just had to hold out a little longer, sooner or later, those sons of bitches would slip up, and she would catch them.
On the plus side, she got to watch her hero sleep like a little puppy, all curled up in his tent. She was afraid he might notice her in his sleep, but he just sort of smiles whenever he turned to her direction. Did that mean anything? Did that mean he trusted her to watch over him?
"To think, If I said please, you'd be with me officially. You'd probably agree to marry me if I asked you." Somedays it was tempting, it would definitely get the vine bitch off his back…but she couldn't be that selfish. "I promise Iruma-kun, I'll get rid of whatever crap your parents put in your head." And when the time comes, she'll make sure his choice to love her will be one hundred percent his choice.
"Alright, time to see if there are any snagglers in the hold. Something has to be responsible for the animals acting up." As soon as she avoids this goon.
