Chapter 4 Beware the Grey Ghost
Its been 8 years since Sean and Korra arrived in this universe to be kept safe from Unalaq and Zaheer.
After which Sean was adopted by Amanda Waller who took an interest in him seeing the potential he had.
Since then she had provided both him and Korra with a heavily expensive education that helped them along their training to control their powers to help those in need.
Sean had in the years since being adopted Amanda had helped him control his power to near perfection with him learning to control every ability he had currently. Even was taught how to use firearms of every type even made his own designs.
Sean's intelligence had also been tested and completely surpassed Amanda's expectations showing he was a once in a lifetime prodigy with the ideas and technology he made in the short 8 years since she found him.
As for Korra Amanda had hired specialists to further evaluate her abilities.
Of course the White Lotus on a few occasions tried to butt in to train her saying only they could do so.
But Amanda dismissed them since in her view the White Lotus was all bark and no bite saying they had lost all the skill they once had since Iroh had led the group for so many years before his death. (Which is so fucking true!)
Korra had mastered her abilities greater than even Kyoshi has thanks to the training Amanda put her under. Even helped her airbending blockage since it was the exact opposite of herself.
Learned countless other abilities under her eye even managing to learn metal bending and lava bending and even lightning bending in ways that would make even Ozai Jealous.
Even learned how to blood bend without a full moon. Amanda wanted her to be prepared for all case scenarios.
As for the names they took that was something more unique for them.
Korra had taken the name Sage since she was a master of the elements. She wore blue robes with a hood and Bottom mask on that were also blue with some knives and other gadgets. (Picture Altair's robes from Assassins creed but blue)
As for Sean he took a much more unique name from his favorite Book. Beowulf.
He had an assortment of weappons on him that could be used for any situation. Guns, Knives, Swords and various others. His armor also had a hood and mask like Korra with some special equipment inside. (Picture Beowulf's gear from the 1999 movie with the hood and mask)
Right now though.
Sean and Korra were in the Wayne Mansion on the couch watching TV. (Sore since you've clearly lost track Sean is 13 and Korra 12)
"What are you two doing?"
Sean turned seeing Bruce's wife Talia with a large stomach.
Talia at one point was a member of the League of assassins but left after Korra talked to her and ended up marrying Bruce a couple years ago. Now they had a baby on the way.
"Relaxing. That whole thing in Iraq was exhausting." Sean said making her giggle.
"Ah the line of duty. Reminds me of my younger years." Alfred said coming in with some drinks.
"Thanks." Sean said taking his.
"Honestly I sometimes hate this Job." Korra said taking some tea. "I'll look forward to when that company of yours finally finished coming together." Korra said making Sean smirk since he was in the process of making his own business as well to help make technology and various other things.
He was gonna name it...Global Tech
"It comes with the job." Bruce said walking in.
"Let me guess? You want us out in the field again right?" Sean asked making him smirk.
"Why ask when you already know?" Bruce asked making him chuckle.
Later
Batman with Beowulf and Sage were on a rooftop.
in the years since the two entered the hero buisness crime in Gotham had gone down to very low levels since people feared them for the power they had and Beowulf wasn't afraid to take a life of those who had too much blood on their hands for the wrong reasons.
"It's peaceful." Beowulf said.
"Nothing ever lasts though." Batman said before an explosion went off in the courthouse making them look.
"Clearly." Sage said as she and Beowulf flew down while Batman used his grappler to go with them.
Arriving on the scene they found Commissioner Gordon there already.
"Batman, Sage, Beowulf." Gordon said before handing them a burned note.
"Pay up or pay the consequences. One Million in cash or the Gotham bank is next. Signed the Mad Bomber." Batman read.
"What is it?" Sage asked.
"Why does that sound so familiar?" Batman asked.
"HEY!" Bullock yelled rushing at them. "I know you did this Beowulf! I'm taking you in." Bullock said with some cuffs.
"This again? Don't you have other people to annoy?" Beowulf asked.
"Bullock. Enough." Gordon said.
"No way. I know this freak of nature did this. I'm taking you in." Bullock said as he pulled out a sword and slashed at him.
It didn't cut him in the flesh but did cut his clothes off leaving him in pink hearted boxers.
"You are such a loser." Sage said giggling.
"YOU!" Bullock tried to say as he slugged at him but missed and fell on his face.
"You're pathetic. I would fire him if I were you. I can easily tell he's gonna be nothing but a problem and blames others for his screw ups." Beowulf said glaring at Bullock with Red glowing eyes making him gulp as they left.
"A little unnecessary if you ask me." Batman said.
"I hate that guy." Beowulf said.
"How do you deal with him?" Sage asked.
"Years of practice." Batman said.
"So what did that note mean to you?" Beowulf asked.
"I don't know. It just sounded so familiar." Batman said.
Later
"The Grey Ghost?" Sean asked Bruce.
"Thats why it sounded so familiar. I remember watching that show every night when I was a kid. Reading that note made me remember. In a sense he was actually like me as Batman. He was my hero." Bruce said.
"At least your hero is actually human." Korra said looking at Sean in amusement.
"Oh shut up. So I like the Godzilla franchise big deal." Sean said making her giggle.
"So we just need to watch the episode regarding the Mad bomber. Easy." Korra said.
"Actually not so easy. Apparently the studio that produced it burned to the ground before they could start copying it for others to watch at home. And they never got a chance to write down exactly what happened online since it was so old." Bruce said.
"Maybe we're not out of luck just yet. Mom once told me that actors get a direct copy of everything they play in before it hits the market. If we can find the guy who plays the Grey Ghost." Sean said.
"We can get the copy and find out how this real Mad Bomber is doing this." Bruce said.
"How are we supposed to find one actor in the whole world?" Korra asked.
"Easy. Online. The films may not have been written down but his address should still be in there." Sean said.
Arriving at his computer Sean started looking for who it was that played the Grey Ghost.
"Bingo." Sean said finding him.
"Simon Trent? So thats who we're looking for." Korra said.
"And we're in major luck. He lives right here in Gotham." Sean said.
"You two go find him and talk to him about getting that video. I'll keep an eye out incase our made bomber strikes again.
Later
Simon Trent was at a very low point in his life. After this series the Grey Ghost came to an end he found himself out of work since most people only saw him as the Grey Ghost and couldn't pick up anymore acting jobs.
So he was forced to sell some of this things in order to pay up his rent.
Arriving back in his home he found a box in the middle of the room making him blink before approaching it and opened it.
Only to gasp seeing the very things he just sold.
"Hard times if your selling your most prized possessions." Beowulf said shocking him seeing him and Sage.
"You two?" Simon asked.
"Hello Simon Trent. We're not here to hurt you or anything. We just need some information." Sage said.
"About what?" Simon asked.
"Do you remember the Mad Bomber episode from your old TV series?" Beowulf asked.
"Yeah...But that was years ago." Simon said.
"Apparently someone is using that very episode to bomb Gotham for a million dollars. Batman looked at the note and recognized it from your show. Someone else is using what happened in it to extort from the City." Sage said.
"Are you sure?" Simon asked.
"The note said exactly. Pay up or pay the consequences. One million in cash or the Gotham Bank is next. Signed the Mad Bomber." Beowulf said.
"Yup. Thats nearly identical to the show." Simon said before an explosion went off making them rush to the window seeing the bank was hit.
"We need that film in order to find out how he's doing it." Beowulf said making him sigh before going to his closet and pulled it out.
"Thank you." Sage said taking it as they were about to leave.
"You know technically You inspired Batman to be who he is today." Beowulf said.
"I did?" Simon asked.
"Everyone needs a hero." Beowulf said as they left quickly.
Later
Bruce and the others were watching the film.
"I haven't seen you this happy since you and Talia got married." Sean said making Bruce smile.
"It reminds me of my time with my father." Bruce said before they heard some sound. "Wait I heard that sound before the explosion." Batman said before on the film it was revealed to be a little toy car with an explosive on it.
"Oh you must be joking me. That is genius." Sean said.
"He's using little toy cars in order to slip past the police and bomb squads since no one would ever suspect a little toy." Korra said.
Later
the Gotham Police force and bomb squads were alerted to the situation.
Batman and the others were on a rooftop waiting incase things didn't go as planned.
Thats when they heard the sounds again making them look seeing the little toy cars coming up.
"Oh no you don't." Beowulf said pulling out some Senbon throwing them right in the center making them blow up.
"Nice aim." Batman said as he saw one getting away as he followed it.
Arriving at an dead end they found it upside down as Beowulf picked it up and examined it.
"No explosive?" Sage asked.
"A decoy?" Beowulf asked before hearing more sounds making them look seeing a bunch of them coming in.
Thats when a rope was dropped down making Batman grab it and went up while they flew to the top.
And to their surprise they saw none other than the Grey Ghost.
"You?" Batman asked.
"I figured you three could use a hand. I know how this played out more than anyone." Grey Ghost said.
"Look familiar?" Sage asked tossing the decoy to him.
"It's an exact replica. Whoever is doing this remembers the episode throughly." Grey Ghost said.
"Which could be anyone. My question is where is he getting his hand on these? If this is a replica." Beowulf said.
"Wait a second." Grey Ghost said opening it up examining the inside. "Hold on. I recognize this. I just sold this." Grey Ghost said.
"Sold?" Batman asked.
"I was desperate for cash. I had to sell my old things but...Oh no...Not him." Grey Ghost said
Meanwhile
A man was smashing a toy of Batman in anger that his plan was foiled.
"Well." Beowulf said making him gasp. "Theodore Dymer. Ted if I recall your real name." Beowulf said in the halway as Batman and Sage came in.
"You're finished pal." Sage said.
"Oh I don't think so." Ted said as multiple amounts of toy cars came out.
"Seriously?" Sage asked.
"Why?" Batman asked.
"Simple. I need the money. To buy more toys. I love toys. They can play songs. They can dance. They can even eat money. Oh, boy, can they eat money. My Money. And then, I remembered an episode of the Grey Ghost. I remembered what else a toy can do. It can hold the City for ransom. Oh the Power of the Toy." Ted said.
"Thats the most pathetic thing I have ever heard. And I heard the sad sob story from some land developer's who murdered my little brothers family just so he could claim their land just to tear it down for him to make himself a fortune like the greed scumbag he was before my mom killed him." Beowulf said.
"Whatever. His family probably deserved it." Ted said before the Grey Ghost crashed through the glass ramming him into a shelf making it fall over and tons of explosives fell out before the computer also got hit and started sparking.
"And out we go!" Sage yelled as they rushed out as the whole place exploded.
"NO! MY TOYS! MY BEAUTIFUL TOYS!" Ted screamed.
"Oh shut up." Beowulf said knocking him out.
Later
After the whole thing was over Ted was put in prison for 30 years.
As for Simon Trent he actually became known as a real life super hero and got back the fame he once had again with his series back on the air again.
Bruce was happy to see his old hero get the recognition he deserved.
"So this man was holding Gotham hostage just so...He could buy more toys?" Amanda asked her son.
"The people of today. The guy was a nut job." Sean said.
"No argument here." Amanda said before looking at the monitor seeing an eight year old boy in the training room.
This was her second son Turok stone. The son of an old friend of her's from college who was killed because of land developer wanting to have full claim of the land she owned but refused to move so he had assassins come and kill them.
When Amanda found out she had him killed in a brutal but deserving fashion and took him in five years ago.
"I'm gonna go check on him." Sean said.
"Sure." Amanda said as he left.
Sean arrived in the training room seeing his little brother practicing. He had tan skin with brown hair and dark blue eyes.
"Hey." Sean said.
"Hey." Turok said.
"You good?" Sean asked sitting down.
"Yeah...Just letting off some steam." Turok said.
"I know the feeling." Sean said.
While this was going on Amanda was looking at the list she found when she adopted Sean 8 years ago seeing names of people currently known were unlocked.
"Your gonna exhaust yourself constantly looking at that."
Amanda looked up seeing a man with the rank of four stars on his shoulders.
"Hello Sam." Amanda said seeing one of the top ranked generals in the country. (General Lane from Super Girl. Glenn Morshower is the best actor to play as anyone in the military of all time)
"You've been looking at that list for 8 years straight. Your not gonna get any answers anytime soon." Sam said sitting down.
"You can't tell me you're not curious about this thing." Amanda said.
"Never said I wasn't. Ever since they showed up the whole balance of power has shifted to us. Terrorists are down to a low. We got full control of Iraq and Afghanistan. Even the most feared individuals won't make a move against us unless they want to fight them and get their asses handed to them. And all because of two kids that you trained. And they still have a long way to go before they fully master it all." Sam said.
"Exactly. And I need to know who made him this way. Since I need to know if something is coming." Amanda said.
Later
Sean and Korra arrived at the hospital seeing Bruce and Alfred.
"How long has she been in there?" Korra asked.
"Not long. She went into labor a couple hours ago." Bruce said as the doctor came out.
"She's ok and so is the Baby. Your all free to go inside."
Arriving in the delivery room they found Talia holding a blue bundle making Bruce smile as he looked at his son.
He had his black hair but as he opened his eyes he had his mother's eyes.
"Awww." Korra said.
"Thomas and Martha would be very proud of you Bruce." Alfred said.
"So what are you gonna name the little guy?" Sean asked making them smile.
"Damian Wayne." Talia said making Damian giggle.
"Well, I can see a bright future for all us." Korra said making Sean smile.
Author's Note: I'm gonna be honest I accidentally deleted the original version of this chapter last night so I had to start from scratch. Thats never happened to me before. But it ended all the same.
