Chapter 19 Apokolips
It's been a couple weeks since the incident with Maxima who now had her planet aligned with Earth.
And since Lobo's daughter crush showed up and joined the Wolfpack.
Since then things have been very quiet.
Right now though.
Korra moaned as she slowly woke up from bed before noticing she wasn't in the penthouse.
"Morning."
Korra smiled remembering seeing one of her personal female lovers Maggie sawyer who was just as naked as she was having spent the night love making.
"I almost forgot where I was. Right next to a beautiful Blonde police babe." Korra said making her giggle.
"And I'm next to the second most powerful person on Earth." Maggie said pulling her down and kissed her making her moan as Korra got on top of her as Maggie wrapped her legs around her.
Maggie moaned as Korra rubbed their sexes together making Korra grin.
"If only the rest of the Police force could see their fearless leader as putty under me." Korra said making her scoff.
"Real funny Avatar girl." Maggie said as they started scissoring each other hard making Maggie moan louder.
Korra grinned before she started doing some water bending placing it between them adding extra pleasure making Maggie gasp in shock.
"What can I say. I love being a Water bender." Korra said as she went faster.
This went on for a half hour before Maggie screamed as she came hard as did Korra before Maggie fell backwards panting in bliss.
"Oh I love you so much." Maggie said making her grin kissing her as she held her close.
Thats when they heard a whistle making them look seeing Beowulf without his mask on grinning.
"As amusing as all this is we got a meeting to attend. Regarding Intergang's return." Sean said making Korra pout as she got up and headed to the shower.
"Enjoy the show?" Maggie asked amused.
"Very. I'm not surprised by the way that she got to you knowing you were into women only. She can see all the signs. Part of the training mom gave us." Sean said.
"Well, I'm glad. Though I'm surprised you let her have her own harem of women only." Maggie said.
"First of all the Harem I have was her idea. Second of all you try saying no to her of all people. She scares me more than death." Sean said making her giggle as Korra came out in her gear.
"And rightfully so." Korra said kissing him. "See ya." Korra said as she put her hood and mask on while Sean put his father's old mask on as they left.
Later
Beowulf and Sage were flying around Metropolis enjoying the peace and quiet.
"Hey there." Superman said flying to them.
"Hey yourself. Quiet night out here." Sage said.
"By the way. How do you fly? I know he can with or without his wings but prefers having them out. How do you?" Superman asked.
"Oh believe it or not she's using airbending for that. There was once an Airbender thousands of years ago who could and spent 40 years off the ground. But he had to detach himself from everything to do so. Korra however found another way with Mom's help. Theres Virtually nothing she can't do when it comes to the power of the elements." Beowulf said making her grin at the praise.
Thats when they heard explosions making them look seeing some heavily advanced machine with some truck.
"Wait a minute. Maggie told me about this." Sage said.
"Go see if she's ok. We'll handle this." Superman said as she flew off.
Superman and Beowulf flew to the machine.
"Wait I've seen this design before. This is Apocalypse tech." Beowulf said.
"I noticed." Superman said as it tried to blast them with some cannister but Beowulf blew it up before it could.
Next it fired something else that made loud noises.
"OWWW!" Beowulf yelled as they fell down before he fired his Plasma Caster at it destroying it seeing the tank was gone.
"Ouch." Superman said holding his bleeding ears.
"Ok. That was clearly a test." Beowulf said standing up.
"By why steal money?" Superman asked.
"That was Bruno's doing for his own gains I'd imagine. Darkseid wanted it used against us." Beowulf said as they flew off.
Unknown to them was that a hunter was watching them before activating the device on his wrest.
"What is it?"
"We may have a problem." The Hunter said.
Later
Maggie was in the hospital receiving some injuries that were only minor.
"So why is Darkseid supplying Intergang with weapons?" Clark asked as they were at a press meeting with Dan Turpin giving his speech.
"My guess is to test them out on us. He knows the three of us are his biggest obstacles. So he wants weapons against us." Sean said.
"Makes sense. If you're gonna invade a planet you want to make sure the biggest threats are out of the way." Korra said.
"Yeah." Clark said.
Thats when some portal opened up shocking people.
"And here comes another." Clark said about to get in his outfit.
"Hold up." Sean said as some man in armor flew in before crashing.
"Whoa." Korra said as they rushed to him helping him up.
"You ok there pal?" Sean asked.
"Must...Warn...Beowulf." He said before passing out.
Later
"So how's our mystery guest doing?" Amanda asked as he was brought to ARGUS.
"Doing pretty good. Wounds are almost fully healed up. But he's kinda impatient asking for." Beowulf tried to say.
"BEOWULF!"
Suddenly guards were thrown out of the room making the men tense up as he rushed out.
"Get me Beowulf!"
"We're right here pal." Sage said.
"Lets just calm down." Superman said as he was grabbed by the man.
"I didn't fight my way through a battalion of Parademons to be told to calm down!"
"Sit down." Beowulf said with his Plasma Caster out.
"All right lets relax. Who are you?" Lane asked.
"My name is Orion." Orion said.
"Named after a start constellation. Nice." Fang said.
"I fled from the fire pits of Apokolips to warn you." Orion said.
"Orion?" Grail said coming out.
"Grail?" Orion asked.
"It's been a long time." Grail said.
"What is she doing here?" Orion asked.
"She works with me and my Wolfpack. Best of the best. Her father abandoned her and Barda when her brother used them to fight me some time ago." Beowulf said.
"So the rumors were actually true. Then maybe this world does have a chance. Darkseid is coming to invade this planet for his own." Orion said.
"We met him before. We know he's more dangerous than anything we've faced." Beowulf said.
"Who exactly is he?" Sage asked.
"You have to understand this from the beginning. You see there are two planets out there. One being New Genesis and the other Apokolips. One is a peaceful world ruled by Highfather who raised me. The second is Apokolips which Darkseid rules. Both planets have been at war with one another for a long time until a truce was made by exchanging the sons of both Darkseid and Highfather. It was to keep the peace. But Darkseid's ambition to find a way to control all life known as the Anti-Life equation has never stopped." Orion said.
"So why's he after Earth?" Lane asked.
"He believes it may be here somewhere. But he's conquered thousands of worlds. None of them had it." Orion said. "I'm here to offer my assistance in the coming battle." Orion said.
"Now would be good. Intergang is attacking Sinnott Air Force base." Lane said.
Later
The Hover tanks were attacking the base who were powerless to stop them.
Thats when a plasma blast hit one knocking it down.
Beowulf had his Plasma Caster out before the other tank aimed at him.
"No you don't!" Sage yelled earth bending a spike into it hard making it pierce into it making it explode as the men inside got out.
Bruno was in his office watching all this and growled.
"God I hate heroes." Bruno said before Darkseid appeared.
"Problems?" Darkseid asked before seeing Orion helping out as Beowulf blasted one of the tanks down. "Orion." Darkseid said.
"You know that creep?" Bruno asked.
"Doesn't matter. Prepare for the next phase of our plan." Darkseid said.
After the battle was over Beowulf walked to Orion who had his helmet off.
"So...How do you know so much about Darkseid and Grail? I know you weren't telling us something." Beowulf said.
"Your instincts serve you well...I am Darkseid's son. Grail's older brother." Orion said.
"Ahh. I thought there were some similarities between you two." Beowulf said.
"I will return to new Genesis and inform High Father of the situation." Orion said opening a boom tube and left.
Meanwhile
On an island where a nuclear plant was Bruno had Parademons arming a device.
"Everything is ready just like you ordered." Bruno said arming it.
"Good...You have served me well." Darkseid said as his warriors vanished shocking Bruno.
"What gives? What about me? You promised you'd make me a king." Bruno said in fear.
"And so you are. King of fools." Darkseid said vanishing.
Bruno yelled as he ran outside to a boat.
Only for his throat to be grabbed by a hunter who snarled at him.
"What are you?" Bruno asked.
"You are indeed a king of fools to work with the king of evil himself." The Hunter said before taking his head off before getting in his own ship and flew off.
Arriving in his control room a projection appeared of several hunters.
"The situation is as we feared. Darkseid is coming to earth to conquer it."
"I see...We will arrive shortly."
Later
Beowulf and the others were helping with the clean up when they heard a massive explosion go off seeing it from a great distance.
"This isn't over is it?" Sage asked.
"Not by a long shot." Beowulf said.
Soon they arrived at Star Labs.
"The explosion triggered a meltdown in the power plant's central reactor. It's burning straight through the substrata now. And it will get hotter and hotter until it reaches the Earth's core.' Hamilton said.
"And what happens when it does?" Lane asked on a screen.
"It will explode setting off a series of violent eruptions which will cover the earth with more burn holes." Hamilton said.
"Turning it into an earth version of Darkseid's home planet I'd imagine." Eiling said.
"Yup. He used a hellspore on the plant to do this. Thats what he does. Turns planets into versions of our world." Grail said.
"Anyway to stop it?" Amanda asked.
"Sure, just cool them off." Grail said.
Meanwhile
On Apokolips Kalibak approached his father.
"Your plan worked, Darkseid. Earth is ours." Kalibak said.
"Your enthusiasm is premature, Kalibak. Beowulf and his followers will still try to resist me." Darkseid said.
"Then Send me." Kalibak said getting in front of him. "I'm ready. I'll crush him this time." Kalibak said.
"No. You already cost me Grail and Barda. I will not have you damage my plans. Besides...This requires a hunter with experience." Darkseid said as someone else came to view. "Steppenwolf." Darkseid said as he grinned.
Meanwhile
"The Radioactive hole is now only a few hundred meters deep. But thats going to increase, and quickly." Hamilton said.
"Maybe we should call in your new friend." Eiling said.
"He went back home to get some help." Beowulf said.
"Contact Maxima and she'll come help." Sage said.
"Right." Lane said.
"If the reactor melts through the top mantle we'll never stop it." Hamilton said.
"Get me the Wolfpack down here now. And see if you can get the others down here. We're gonna need everyone we can get." Beowulf said putting his mask on.
"Goodluck." Amanda said.
Flying to the site thats when a boom tube opened up.
"Now what?" Sage asked as Steppenwolf came through.
"This will be good hunting." Steppenwolf said.
"Oh great." Beowulf said with his Maul out as he tried to blast them but he smacked it away.
"You picked the wrong time, pal." Superman said blasting him with heat vision making him groan before his minions came through.
Only for an astral projection of a hawk to come and attack them.
Fang was on the ground making animal projections to fight against them.
"Go I got this!" Fang said as they left.
Only for more Parademons to show up.
"Ok this is gonna take a while." Sage said as she started shooting lightning at them.
Beowulf went right at Steppenwolf punching him into a building making him grunt
"I'll enjoy adding your head to my collection." Steppenwolf said.
"Oh please." Beowulf said before blasting him with ice making him yell in shock.
On the ground police started to get overwheelmed when someone started shooting the enemy with one shot kills making them look seeing deadshot and Redhood.
"Don't just stand there. Start shooting them." Redhood said as they did so.
Also on the ground a group of civilians were cornered before some arrows stopped the Parademons making them look seeing Green Arrow and Speedy.
"Go!" GA said making them run off.
Beowulf leaving Steppenwolf to Superman arrived at the site.
"Need a hand?" Batman asked flying by.
"How do I stop this?" Beowulf asked.
"You need to cool it down. But you need to do so from the bottom not the top or it won't work." Batman said.
"Are there any tunnels under it?" Beowulf asked.
"Two. The closet one you can get to quickly if you hurry. You need to make holes to send in some water to cool it all down." Batman said.
"Copy that." Beowulf said going down.
Arriving in the tunnel he quickly started making holes to the surface before the place was covered in water filling it up quickly before going up as it hit the water and started cooling down releasing a large amount of steam.
"Good. I'll go help out the others." Batman said.
Beowulf flew to a cliff seeing all this and sighed before feeling a shadow over him making him face Darkseid with a glare behind his mask.
"You are a magnificent opponent, Beowulf. Earth may actually have a chance." Darkseid said.
"More than you realize." Beowulf said with his wings spread out.
Only for Darkseid to try and blast him but he blocked it with his holy sword.
"I could easily destroy you now. And once you're gone, your entire race would crumble in fear. They won't have the will to resist me." Dsrkseid said.
"You underestimate the stubbornness of Earth. Take me down and someone will take my place and so on. You'll have to destroy the whole planet cause no one here will side with you." Beowulf said.
"Perhaps. But only one way to find out." Darkseid said as they charged at each other.
Meanwhile
Sage yelled as she made a wave of Lava against the Parademons who screamed in fear as they were buried under it.
"Surprised to see you kill." Batgirl said.
"They aren't even really alive." Sage said.
Batman was fighting against a large number of Parademons using whatever gadgets he could use.
Thats when a large number came at him only for a lasso to wrap around them making him look seeing Wonder Woman who threw them away.
"You're late." Batman said.
"Nice to see you too I suppose." Wonder woman said
Deathstroke was fighting off a large number of Parademons while Motoko and Regina fired at them in the air.
Ben Turner AKA Bronze Tiger was slashing through several of them.
"We're not gonna win like this." Spartan said.
"Take out the leader and they should retreat." Batman said.
"Easier said than done." Superman said as Maxima and her warriors appered before slashing through the enemy.
"Now this is a fight worthy of a warrior queen." Maxima said.
Meanwhile
Beowulf roared as he blasted Darkseid down with great power as he crashed down hard.
Both were heavily bleeding from fighting one another.
"You continue to impress me but you won't win." Darkseid said.
"Oh yes I will." Beowulf said as Darkseid picked up a building before slamming it down on him.
Only for it to start decaying as it turned to dust as Beowulf came right out and flew at him Going up high.
Darkseif growled as he grabbed his face before they started diving down hard.
"As I once said to a Giant worm 5 years ago. CAN YOU FLY YOU SUCKER! CAN YOU FLY!" Beowulf yelled dropping him as he crashed down hard. (Thats was my favorite Line in the first tremors film)
Flying back down he noticed he was more wounded as he landed.
"Jeez and I thought Joker was hard to kill. And he's just human." Beowulf said.
"Hmph. You remind me of someone I knew 200 years ago. Micheal Kruger." Darkseid said shocking him.
Suddenly however thats when hundreds of boom tubes appeared as Orion showed up before a heavily advanced ship of Yautja design also appeared before one Hunter with a special mask on jumped.
"Darkseid. The Yautja and New Genesis have both decreed that Earth is now part of both planet's protection. Any further agression will be considered a breach in the treaty of New Genesis and an act of war against the Yautja. The Decision is yours." Orion said.
Darkseid however looked at the one hunter who appeared.
"Wolf. It's been a long time." Darkseid said.
"Not long enough." Wolf said.
"You wouldn't come here just to protect your hunting grounds. No...This is more personal for you." Darkseid said before looking at Beowulf. "Ahhh. Now I see. The only surviving son of your most prized student." Darkseid said making him snarl. "No need to threat. We shall leave." Darkseid said as his forces began to leave. "As for you...Son of Micheal...I'll be keeping an eye on you." Darkseid said as he left.
Beowulf groaned as he fell to his knees.
"This job is getting out of hand." Beowulf said as the others arrived.
Later
"So you taught my father everything he knew?" Sean asked Wolf who had his mask off showing he was missing a fang and had acid burns on his face.
"Many years ago. I saw the potential he had and he exceeded them in such a short time." Wolf said.
"Thats interesting and all but what do we do about them?" Lane asked.
"This planet is now under both the protection of New Genesis and my kind. He won't dare make a move without provoking both sides knowing he would lose. New Genesis makes things difficult enough but our kind have also put them on edge since we know how to kill them with little casualties." Wolf said.
"This Anti-Life equation he's after. Is it on Earth?" Korra asked.
"No. I can understand why he would think that but no. That equation is somewhere even would not dare go." Wolf said.
Sean looked around seeing the destruction around him.
"It could have been worse." Batman said.
"More and more threats are showing up and one of us alone isn't enough anymore. We may need to start considering adding more people to the ranks you know?" Sean asked.
"You mean forming a group?" Batman asked.
"Maybe. A group united has a better chance than one man alone." Sean said.
