Chapter 32 Aftermath
Its been a week since the attack on the bending Arena and now things had gotten very tense.
Everyone was concerned because of the weapons that were made for Amon and no one knew where they came from.
Right now though.
Sean groaned as he slowly woke up seeing Korra next to him asleep before getting out of bed in a pair of green shorts.
Walking out to the living room he saw his mother getting a drink.
"Nothing Alcoholic?" Amanda asked.
"I learned my lesson when I drank for the first time after meeting her and learning the truth. Nothing like that is ever coming near my lips ever again." Sean said making her chuckle as she got herself some coffee. "So whats up?" Sean asked.
"General Lane and Eiling are concerned that Amon will eventually turn his attention to our world...Since both worlds are similar. So I want you to find out where Amon got these weapons from and Fast." Amanda said.
"I'm trying. My only thought is these came from here. Since Lin made those stupid laws like no items can come through our universe to here without her approval. Now though the laws are all gone. And she's close to losing her job." Sean said.
"True. Still they want you to find out them and fast otherwise their gonna send in their troops to get results." Amanda said.
"Don't worry. I'll find the source eventually." Sean said.
Later
Sean and Korra on Naga arrived at the Bending Arena to see Mako and Bolin since it was being cleared out.
"I can't believe they're clearing this place out." Korra said.
"What do you expect. It was attacked and the season is over." Sean said as they got off.
"I still can't believe they're shutting this place down." Mako said as he and his brother packed up.
"Yeah, we had some good memories here, didn't we?" Bolin said feeling down before the two rushed up.
"Guys, great news. You don't have to go back on the streets. I talked to Tenzin and made all the arrangements. You can live on Air Temple Island with us." Korra said.
"Oh...Well, we'd love to, but." Mako tried to say.
"Asami already invited us to live in her dad's giant mansion!" Bolin said excited.
"Oh really? She never told me." Sean said.
"You never asked." Asami said coming down.
"All right we'll see you later." Korra said.
"We'll drop by." Sean said.
Later
Pabu jumped into a pool before Bolin followed.
"Earthbending bomb!" Bolin yelled before Sean and Korra were led in.
"Miss Korra and Mr. Kruger have arrived." A servant said.
"Nice. Reminds me of my main home in Tennessee.
"Glad you guys could make it." Mako said before Bolin came out.
"Welcome to Paradise." Bolin said.
"Don't get too attached to this place." Sean said.
"Looks like you guys settled right in." Korra said as she and Sean sat down.
"Pretty much. Except someone forgot to ask her father if we could stay here." Mako said looking at Asami making them chuckle.
"I smoothed it over with him. It's easier to ask for forgiveness than permission." Asami said.
"I'll bet." Sean said as she swam to them.
"So, what do you have planned for us today? Let me guess, shopping, Makeovers?" Korra asked amused.
"Oh, Oh, I vote makeovers." Bolin said before Mako dunked him.
"I have something a little more exciting in mind." Asami said grinning.
"Uh oh." Sean said making Korra giggle.
Soon all five were outside seeing some race track.
"Nice." Sean said.
"Way cooler than a makeover." Korra said.
"This is where future Industries test drives their Sato-Mobiles before they became more modern. Ever been behind the wheel?" Asami asked.
"Sure." Korra said.
After racing against Asami everyone went inside while Sean went upstairs to the restroom.
"Hmph. Things are just as I remember when I was a kid." Sean said as he passed Hiroshi's office.
"No, no, no. Everything is going exactly as planned." Hiroshi said in his office.
Sean raised an eyebrow before going closer.
"Luckily the Cabbage corp investigation has bought us enough time. Trust me, by the end of the week, we'll be ready to strike." Hiroshi said on phone before Sean busted the door down shocking him.
"What the fuck does that mean?" Sean asked.
"Whats wrong?" Hiroshi asked.
"What do you mean ready to strike?" Sean asked narrowing his eyes. "Are you in league with Amon?" Sean asked.
"What? No. I could never do that." Hiroshi said in shock.
"Whats going on?" Asami asked as they came in.
"I overheard him saying the Cabbage corp investigation bought him time and would be ready to strike. I knew they couldn't be involved because according to almost everyone their items are crap. Yours on the other hand." Sean said.
"I assure you that I am not in league with them. I'll admit Amon came to me a long time ago." Hiroshi said.
"What? When was that?" Asami asked.
"A year after your mother was killed 9 years ago." Hiroshi said.
"You...Never said your wife was killed." Sean said.
"It happened 4 years after you left. The Triad busted in and a firebender killed her. Did I have anger towards Benders? Yes. But Bruce made it clear it doesn't matter if it was A bender or non bender. It's just a tool. People are the problem. We've been complicated creatures since the very beginning." Hiroshi said making Sean frown.
"So what were you talking about then?" Sean asked.
"The Market. With our biggest competitor out of the way we could make even more profit. Cabbage Corp only got so far because their items were cheep. Now that they're gone we have a chance to prove our products are better." Hiroshi said.
"Oh." Sean said. "But wait a minute. I thought that Crime was getting low during the first few years this alliance began." Sean said.
"It was...This happened during when Beifong made her absurd laws." Hiroshi said making him frown leaving.
Later
Lin grunted as Sean punched her into a wall.
"You are absolutely disgusting you know that?" Sean asked.
"What did I do now?" Lin asked in confusion.
"Your stupid laws got Hiroshi's wife killed." Sean said.
"How is that my fault? A million things could have happened." Lin said.
"But the laws you made gave them an opportunity. I've had enough." Sean said.
"What are you talking about?" Lin asked concerned.
"I'm Going to the Council to have them remove you from the Force completely. In return I give back all the money I sued you for plus extra. They won't protect you this time." Sean said.
"NO! You can't do that! This Job is all I have left!" Lin yelled.
"I DON'T CARE! You ruined so many lives with your stupid laws. Innocent people are dead because of you. One that I knew. How do you sleep at night knowing what you did was wrong but didn't care?" Sean asked making her sigh.
"Please...I have nothing left but this." Lin said.
"Correction...You did have this. You also had people but you pushed them away. You could have had what Pema had. But you wanted to give nothing back into your relationship. Just took and gave nothing back." Sean said making her eyes widen. "Live...With the consequences of your actions." Sean said leaving.
Later
Even though Hiroshi's explanation was well explained the League had to investigate to be on the safe side.
Investigating his buildings and wear houses they looked for any sign of the weapons but found nothing.
"Looks like Hiroshi was telling the truth. There are no weapons here." Batman said.
"They have to be here." John said.
"I believe Hiroshi is telling the truth." Beowulf said.
"Then where did the weapons come from? They had to come from this world." Hawkgirl said.
"We have to assume Joker's attack was a distraction to get those weapons to them." Nightwing said.
"No one asked for your opinion." Beowulf said making him sigh. "But that is true. Meaning someone planned this out carefully." Beowulf said.
Thats when someone approached them.
"Need something?" Superman asked.
"I know who made those weapons."
"Who?" Sage asked.
"They were built under the Sato mansion."
"Under?" Flash asked.
"Sato has a secret factory under his mansion. Thats where their being built."
"But Hiroshi said he declined Amon's offer." Beowulf said.
"Told you he was guilty." John said. (John can jump the gun a lot)
Later
The League soon arrived at the Sato mansion.
"What is this?" Hiroshi asked.
"Your under Arrest." John said using his ring before Beowulf used his to slap his cuffs away.
"Will you stop? We have someone who came forward and told us about a factory under this place." Beowulf said.
"How did he? I haven't used that factory since my wife was killed." Hiroshi said.
"You expect us to believe that?" John asked.
"Shut up. Does anyone else know about it?" Sage asked.
"Well...I do have a business partner from the other universe who has been using it. But I never really checked on what he was doing." Hiroshi said.
"And who is that?" Batman asked.
"Lex Luthor." Hiroshi said shocking them.
"Luthor? Are you insane. He's worse than Ozai." Sage said.
"How?" Hiroshi asked.
"What do you mean how...Let me guess? Another one of Beifong's laws that prevents information from passing through from there to here." Beowulf said.
"Basically." Hiroshi said.
"Ok thats it." Beowulf said as they went outside to where this factory was at.
Arriving down on a lift they entered the factory seeing it fully upgraded making heavy weapons and the like.
"I don't believe this. Of course he would do something like this. I see his game he's selling to them first then he'll sell to Republic City for double the price." Beowulf said.
"Thats your opinion." Lex said appearing on one of the screens.
"You arrogant slimy good for nothing cocksucker." Beowulf said.
"You're selling weapons to both sides to make double the profit." Sage said.
"After our last meeting and you stopped me from making so much profit even if Atlantis was destroyed...I realized I needed to expand my buisness to places where the laws were...Lesser than back home. I help take down the Republic City Government and Amon takes over I'll sell to the other nations for twice what I offered him and then I'll have a good foothold in this universe." Lex said.
"It won't work. We'll stop him and you." Sage said.
"Oh I doubt it. Since if he can take peoples bending away...He can take your powers away as well. Getting rid of two annoyances for me since now he sees things my way. Oh and speaking of my way." Lex said as a countdown began.
"Of fucking course." Beowulf said as he and the Speedersters got everyone out as the whole place exploded.
Later
Lin was presented in front of the council.
"Lin...I honestly hate to do this. But the Council has decided to remove you from the Police force...Indefinitely." Tenzin said shocking her. "Your laws have...Caused too much trouble for the people of Republic City. Too many innocent people have suffered and died because of them. And now we learned because of another law you made Hiroshi had no idea Luthor was someone not to be trusted because you made it nearly impossible for new information to pass through from there to here." Tenzin said.
"I...I never meant for the City to suffer. Just let me make this right." Lin said.
"It's too late." Sean said making her face him. "You already caused enough problems. No one can trust you again. You may have now realized you screwed up...But the damage is already done and it can't be fixed nor repaired. And now the Equalists have advanced weapons because of you and the laws you made. So believe me when I say this. No one will ever trust you again for causing all this." Sean said.
"Your personal items are already being removed from office." Tenzin said making her let out a shuddering breath as she left while Tenzin sighed.
"I know that was difficult but it needed to be done. She's lost everyones trust." Sean said.
"Yes...I know." Tenzin said.
"We'll have a replacement set up for her soon enough." Tarrlok said.
Later
Sean sighed as he got himself a drink of soda.
"You seem troubled." Micheal said making him sigh.
"I don't wanna talk about it." Sean said sitting down.
"Come on. Keeping something to yourself isn't healthy from what I understand." Micheal said making him sigh.
"I can't understand what was going through Lin's head when she made those dumb laws. I mean...What was the point?" Sean asked.
"Like Lucifer said she was selfish. Then again I think I understand part of it. She did say she was afraid if things continued the way they did...People wouldn't need people like her anymore...And it terrified her because that job was all she had. In her fear struck state...She made those laws to make sure people still needed them but never realized the consequences of them." Micheal said.
"I understand fear makes us do stupid things at times...But still...Now it's cost her everything. Her job, Her Reputation, Her family's legacy. She destroyed it all in one fell swoop because she didn't realize how bad that fear drove her to destroy what she wanted to protect." Sean said.
"Sometimes our actions end up costing us everything we want to keep." Micheal said making him sigh.
Later
Sean was in his steam room trying to relax.
Thats when the door opened up.
"Hmm?" Sean asked before seeing it was Azula in the nude smirking at him. "Hello." Sean said as the steam cleared showing her medium sized breasts and large but still growing ass.
She also had a few tattoos on her body with two Chinese dragons wrapped around her breasts while also having a wolf's head in the middle.
On her back was a Phoenix in red while up above her hips was a blue flame and on each cheek was a fire nation symbol.
