This is my very first fanfic that I'm doing. Haven't that many male OC story's on here so I thought why not make one. The story I'm doing is really about the friendship between my OC Jamie and the main character of the game Aloy. Though it possibly will become something more in the future.
I only own my OC, nothing else.
Open to ideas and criticism. Would love feedback.
PROLOGUE
After two months of searching since the attack on the proving, Aloy had finally caught up to the group that had Olin, there was no running away from this now. With a little help from a friend, a ambush plan and using her powerful sharp shot bow, the group who was excavating an ancient site for war machines known as corruptors were swiftly taken care of, even though they had two operational corruptors, her friend took them on with relative ease and kept them busy.
Eventually Aloy took down the last Cultist, leaving only Olin alive.
At the same time the last Corruptor fell, a tall, burly figure dressed in camo and partial armour of the same colour came into Aloy's view. This figure walked up to it and shot his weapon which could be described as loud as thunder at least a dozen more times till the magazine was empty for good measure, at the now dead machine.
Aloy covered her ears not expecting her friend to do that, then he just stood there with a dazed look, like he was lost. Looking blankly at this machine, he remembered these machines, the realisation was starting to sink in, Aloy could tell in his face that he remembered something big, something that disturbed him.
Aloy turned to Olin who was knocked over on the ground.
'You wait right here'. Her voice was stern, angered, Do not cross the line.
'O..of course'. The man simply replied. Aloy then turned and began walking over to the camo figure.
Her tall armoured friend then picked of a part of the currptor that had a logo on it, he stared at it for what seemed line forever, he remembered this symbol, part of the very thing that he once fought along time ago, he couldn't quite remember exactly, all he remembered was that this symbol belonged to a company and that the man behind it had something to do with the new world he was in, but he couldn't put his finger on it.
He failed to notice Aloy walking over to him after dealing with the last Eclipse soldiers, she noticed his lost trance, she stop when her big friend suddenly crushed the metal object in his hand with brute force, shattered the metal into pieces, worried by his odd disturb state and action she finally called out to him.
'Jamie?'. She said the man's name, Then he turned around to her with a surprised face. again his eyes looking lost. As if the world around him vanished in a split second.
'Are you ok?'. Her voice sounded concerned and confused, for a man of his size and personality, Aloy was getting worried about Jamie.
'Um... yeah yeah, I'm alright thank you'. After shaking his head, Jamie answered with a hesitant voice, as he began reloading his rifle. Aloy however didn't look convinced of his answer.
'Where is Olin?'. He wanted to change the subject.
'He's over there'. Aloy said, but the look in her eyes told him his answer did not sit well with her, he knew Aloy will speak of it later, after three months travelling with Aloy, she seemed to be to read him better than he could read her, despite being her friend she still seemed to be an enigma to him, just as much she was to him, though he was probably way more of one himself. Especially added to the fact he was still remembering things about himself and what had happened.
Seeing Olin on the ground Jamie quickly walked over him him, he kicked the sword to the side, Olin just looked at Jamie with a bewildered looked, like he wasn't expecting to see such a strange man let alone his imposing statue.
'I promise I'll tell you both everything'. Olin said why laying in the ground with his arms propped him up.
'I know you will'. Aloy said with venom, pointing her spear at Olin threateningly. Anger beamed from her eyes, Jamie could see that.
'Who are you?'. He asked Jamie. But Jamie threw the question aside. Olin asking "Who he was" to this man was is not important.
'Not really important, just so you know Olin, It's not me who you have to worry about, it's Aloy'. Jamie said curtly and bluntly. Though he was standing guard to make sure he wouldn't try anything. While this was between Aloy and Olin, Jamie still wants to help Aloy with her quest for answers and justice.
Aloy walked up pointing her spear at Olin coming as close as three feet in front of him with the point.
Answers she was finally going to get in regards to the group who attacked the proving and why they wanted to her dead?. Just a few of a lot more that are going to come, Jamie was sure of that knowing Aloy.
The past two months of travelling with his friend Aloy, things have certainly been adventurous to say the least, more surprising they actually have a friendship especially after getting to know Aloy, the things they have both achieved in just couple months of friendship.
For what she has done for Jamie, he was going to return the favour to Aloy.
Since waking up, he had never expected to find himself in a world with no familiarity to it at all, nor the journey he would take alongside Aloy.
But to understand who or why this Jamie is here with Aloy in the first place, we need to go back two months ago... when Aloy found him.
