Chapter 38 The Enemy below
It's been a couple weeks since the Manhunter incident with John being cleared from his framed crimes.
Since then no one saw the Manhunters but a search order was out for them.
Right now though.
"So let me get this straight. This guy shows up in the past and tells Memnon that you were from the future?" Cisco asked.
"And he calls himself Grendel?" Iris asked.
"Yup." Sean said.
"I don't get why everyone is so concerned about the name. It's Stupid." Wally said.
"You don't read books that much do ya?" Sean asked.
"I read books...Just not that many." Wally said making Joe scoff in amusement.
"Grendel was the name of the demon Beowulf faced in the book series." Barry said.
"Either someone took that name by chance or trying to call me out. Memnon knew right away how to use most of my tech. Probably because he showed him how." Sean said.
"Why?" Joe asked.
"I don't know. And if he was responsible for this...He may have also been the one who was working with the Manhunters who tried to frame John." Sean said.
"If they are working with him shouldn't their main objective be against you?" Ralph asked.
"Don't forget John's an ally of mine. And ally of mine is probably an enemy of his." Sean said.
"Why? The hell did you even do to this guy anyway?" Cisco asked.
"Mmm." Sean shrugged.
"Doesn't matter. Fact is someone is out there targeting you. We need to find out why. For all we know it could be whoever we're supposed to be up against in this new crisis." Barry said.
"I don't think thats the case otherwise he would come at me directly. No...Whoever this is has something against me. And we need to find out what that is...And Fast." Sean said.
Later
A submarine was taken down in the Atlantic Ocean.
So Beowulf and two members of this team were called in. Deadshot and Deathstroke.
"All right we're over the sub." Deadshot said.
"Lets get to it." Sean said as the two were in dive suits before they jumped from the jet into the water.
Arriving at the site they found heavily advanced craft over the Sub.
"What the? Atlantis? The hell is going on?" Beowulf asked as they started firing on them.
"STOP!"
Everyone looked seeing Aquaman along with Mera and Tula. Aquaman also changed having a beard now and the top of his suit was gone now.
"Arthur. There better be a damn good reason for this." Beowulf said.
"Sorry about this. One of my generals decided to act on his own and attacked a sub without warning. He'll be punished when we return." Aquaman said seeing said general in restraints.
"Figures. All right we'll take the Sub." Beowulf said.
Deadshot and Deathstroke were placing devices on the sub to bring it up topside.
"You know you really need to make it known that Atlantis is part of the rest of the world." Sean said.
"How? By making ourselves fully known. We'll be targeted." Aquaman said.
"Not true. As long as you're an ally of mine. No one would dare to attack Atlantis. Less they want a war with me." Sean said.
"Hmm. I do need to think this through carefully before making any decision." Aquaman said.
"I understand and you're free to take as long as you wish. But Remember the longer you take the more difficult it's gonna be." Sean said flying away.
Later
"Why didn't you take them out? They attacked a nuclear submarine." John said to Sean.
"Arthur said it was one of his generals who did that and I know he's telling the truth. He's never lied to me before." Sean said.
"You actually believe that fish guy?" John asked.
"Oh sure. Here comes a speech from a guy who shots first then shoots later." Korra said shocking him.
"Whoa. I do not do that." John said.
"You've done it several times. You jumped the gun on Hiroshi too quickly and then later found out Luthor was behind Amon's weapons. Then you just assumed you had destroyed a whole planet without looking around for anything to make sure there were any survivors or to see if it actually happened. Want me to continue?" Sean asked making him scratch his head.
"All right. I admit it. I do jump the gun." John said.
"Besides if he wanted to invade he would have done it. Main reason he doesn't is because of us. And he's given plenty in return for helping to clean the oceans. And another thing he let us take the sub." Sean said.
"Uh yeah about that?" Reznov asked walking in.
"What is it?" Korra asked.
"We just did a little inspection, All the Radioactive material on the Sub is gone." Reznov said.
"Gone? What do you mean gone?" Korra asked.
"I mean it's not there. It's all gone." Reznov said.
"Still think I'm jumping the gun?" John asked.
"But that doesn't make any sense. Arthur has no use for that stuff. His whole kingdom is so advanced it's obsolete. So whats the deal?" Sean asked.
"Maybe sinking the the sub wasn't their full objective. Maybe they wanted it for something that knew Arthur wouldn't approve of." Korra said.
"Hmm. I'll head down and talk to him." Sean said.
"Don't need to. He's already here." Superman said seeing him at the Assembly building.
Sean arrived to see him talk with some people they both knew.
"So?" Sean asked.
"Many of my advisors and some Generals agree it's time for us to make ourselves known. But they'll only agree if you can guarantee the safety of Atlantis." Arthur said.
"I can do that easily. But I didn't come down because of that. What happened to the materials on the Sub?" Sean asked.
"What do you mean?" Arthur asked before an explosion hit them both.
Later
Arthur was in a healing tank after the blast.
"Well that fucking sucked." Sean said as he was checked out.
"Whoever just attacked you guys planned it out perfectly." Ann said as he stood up as Aquaman was coming around.
"Good. We can get some answers." John said about to hit the glass when Sean grabbed his hand and growled. "Uh...Maybe you should ask." John said.
"You seriously getting on my nerves. And thats not an easy thing to do." Sean said as Aquaman jumped down.
"What were you talking about before hand?" Arthur asked.
"The Nuclear materials were missing when the sub was inspected." Sean said.
"If it was it was most likely before I got there. I do find it strange though that when I come to tell you the decision me and my council made I get attacked. Someone in Atlantis or up here is against this alliance." Arthur said.
"Why do you think your people are against it?" Wonder Woman asked.
"Typical supremacy bullshit or those who just want war for the sake of war. It's annoying but Human nature that cannot be fully controlled. Atlantis was at one point full of just humans before they sank beneath the waves." Sean said.
"True." Arthur said.
"So how do we find out which side attacked?" Flash asked.
"Oh thats easy." Sean said grinning.
"You're gonna use me as bait aren't you?" Arthur asked frowning.
"Yes...And no." Sean said confusing him.
Later
Outside the hospital several news people were outside.
Thats when Aquaman on a stretcher was pulled out.
Not that far away a man pulled out a RPG.
"There he is!" Reznov yelled as Batman threw a Batarang at him making him aim up as it fired and blew up shocking people.
"There we go." Sage said as Aquaman stood up only to morph into Miss Martain.
"That was fun." M'gann said as they went after the perp.
Following him through the streets and sewers he came up only to get grabbed by Karasuba before impaling him in the side making him scream in pain.
"Go on and scream punk. Nothing much else you can do." Karasuba said.
"All right Karasuba you made your point." Sean said as the others arrived before she pulled back.
"He's not going anywhere with that kind of wound. Plus it's laced with a paralyzing agent so he won't go anyway." Karasuba said.
"Smart move." Batman said.
"You're not the only one who plans ahead." Karasuba said.
Sean picked him up before slamming him into a wall making him yell in pain.
"You better tell me why you targeted the King of Atlantis pal." Sean said.
"Oh geez. Why would a mercenary attack anyone? Maybe some paid me...AHHHH!" He screamed as Sean stabbed him just above the heart.
"That was an inch just above the heart. The next one goes right in pal. Talk." Sean said.
"Ok! OK! Look. Someone reached out and hired me for a job."
"Who paid you to kill Aquaman?" Wonder Woman asked.
"Not him...Him." He said looking at Sean making him raise an eyebrow.
"Me?" Sean asked.
"Yeah. He was just at the wrong place at the wrong time. Simple as that."
"That doesn't make any sense. Why was he the Target?" Superman asked.
"How were you paid?" Sean asked.
"In Gold?"
Arriving at his van Korra metal bends the back doors open before finding a chest full of gold.
"Spanish Doubloons." Batman said.
"This is Atlantis currency. Someone put a hit on me." Sean said.
"But why though?" Miss Martin asked.
"I think I know why. Lots of people in Atlantis are friendly to me because of the things I do for them in cleaning up the oceans and making sure they're protected from the outside. 90% of the Military supports me." Sean said.
"And if something were to happen to you." Superman said.
"They would retaliate." Batman finished.
"Question is who would be bold enough to do this?" Sage asked.
"I think I know." Arthur said as he and John came down. "Only one person doesn't view him the same as everyone else along with those in the military who still view him as a surface dweller." Arthur said.
"And who would that be?" Batman asked.
Later
Sean busted down the doors to the throne where many Military generals stood as the League and Aquaman came in.
"My King, Beowulf." A general said to both.
"Where the fuck is Orm?" Sean asked.
"We don't know. He attempted to kidnap the Prince but Tula caught him before he could. Some of our men are also missing." One of the Generals said.
"Orm is a damn traitor. He had one of the generals attack the sub and then stripped it of nuclear materials." Sage said.
"But why? What is he up to?" Karasuba asked.
Thats when the comms turned on.
"Go ahead Batman." Beowulf said.
"I'm reading a large heat signature building up in the North Pole. We need to get there now." Batman said.
"But the Crisis here isn't over." Wonder Woman said.
"Maybe both of them are connected somehow. Is there anything up there?" Miss Martin asked.
"A thermal nuclear generator. It has the power to melt the Ice Caps to sink the surface world beneath the waves. But I abandoned that ideal when I met you two." Arthur said.
"Did Orm know about it?" Sage asked.
"It was his idea. And he wasn't happy about abandoning it." Arthur said.
"Thats why he took the Plutonium. He needs it to power the damn thing." John said.
"We need to get moving." Superman said.
Later
Everyone had arrived at the North Pole seeing Orm's army waiting for them.
While the others went after Orm's army Arthur, Beowulf and Batman went after the Generator.
"There it is." Aquaman said seeing it active.
Batman rushed to the controls but found them smashed.
"It's no use." Orm said with The Trident in hand. "The Surface world is now doomed. And Atlantis will expand with the downfall of the surface world." Orm said as Aquaman attacked him.
"Now what?" Beowulf asked.
"Can your ring protect me from the Radiation?" Batman asked.
"I got a better idea." Beowulf before placing Scarab armor on him. "The Armor absorbs energy making it stronger. It will absorb the radiation and protect you." Beowulf said as Batman went in to deactivate it Manually.
As Beowulf was about to help Arthur however though thats when a bolt of Blue Lightning hit him making him yell in surprise.

Beowulf looked up before seeing someone he never expected to face.
Zoom.
"Hello...Kruger." Zoom said in his demonic voice.
"You? You're dead." Beowulf said standing up.
"We've been given a new...Lease on life...In exchange for killing you." Zoom said.
"By who?" Beowulf asked.
"Grendel. And now...You will die." Zoom said charging at him but Beowulf dodged with green lightning behind him before punching him back.
"Who is Grendel? Why is he constantly trying to kill me?" Beowulf asked.
"Don't know. But he brought me and others back to life. So I follow him...For now." Zoom said as they fought.
Flash and Kid Flash arrived before they saw them.
"Zoom?" Flash asked in shock before they stopped.
"Hello...Barry." Zoom said.
"How are you alive?" Kid Flash asked.
"Grendel brought me back. And others will show soon enough." Zoom said before facing Beowulf. "You and I...Will have our fight...Soon enough." Zoom said dashing off.
Outside Orm yelled as Arthur let him drop to his death while Batman shut down the machine.
"What was that about?" Arthur asked making Beowulf frown.
Later
"This is the Second time Grendel has done something to try and kill you. Bringing people back from the Dead? How is that possible?" Sage asked.
"There are many ways people can come back from death. Ancient magic and what not. But this...It doesn't feel that way. Whoever Grendel is has proven he's stronger than we originally anticipated." Constantine said.
"We need to be on alert for Grendel at all times." Batman said.
"In the meantime we'll be upgrading our defenses to prepare for him and start recruiting more members for the League." Sean said.
Later
Sean was in his penthouse in Metropolis after the whole thing with Atlantis was finished.
"Oooh. I make an enemy I have no idea about. Whats next?" Sean asked.
"How bout some special love?"
Sean looked seeing both Tula and Mera in the nude grinning at him making him chuckle.
"This is a first time sight." Sean said making them giggle.
"We decided to reward you for saving Atlantis from Orm. I always hated him before I met him because of my sister marrying Arthur." Mera said as they pulled him up and dragged him away.
Arriving at the shower room he was just as naked as they were before they were down to their knees before Mera placed him in her mouth while Tula placed his balls in her's making him chuckle.
Tula continued to suck on his balls before she pulled back and smirked as she had water in her hands before grabbing them making him yelp in surprise making her giggle.
"Water can be used for a lot of things if you have the right kind of imagination." Tula said as she continued to please him.
Mera pulled him out of her mouth before pressing her breasts around him as she moved them up and down before Tula pressed her's against her's making them giggle before they moved forward kissing each other.
Sean smirked at this watching them make out.
This went on for a while before they felt him twitch making them double their efforts before they sighed as he came on both of them as they licked each other clean.
"Yummy." Mera said before yelping as she was pushed down on her back as Sean grabbed her legs making her giggle. "Oooh. I've been waiting for this for a long time." Mera said making him smirk.
"I'm the first Human to have sex with not one but two Atlantians. Lucky me. Then again Korra encouraged this and trying to argue with her is like losing world war 3." Sean said making her giggle.
Thrusting into her she gasped feeling her barrier broken making her cry out before being silenced by Tula who shoved her sex into her mouth making her moan holding her head.
"Mmm. Let's put that mouth to some more pleasurable use." Tula said humping her face.
Sean thrusted into Mera hard and fast making her groan as she moaned into Tula's sex making her giggle as she thrusted into her mouth before bending backwards to pull Sean into a kiss which he returned.
Thats when Sean grabbed her breasts making Tula yelp in surprise as Sean added electricity to them making her shudder.
"Oh yeah. So worth the wait." Tula said as she kissed him.
Sean continued to thrust into Mera for a good hour before she yelled as she suddenly came hard before feeling him come deep inside her before Tula came in her mouth making her gulp down every drop.
Tula grinned as she pulled her out before sitting on Sean's lap.
"Now it's my turn." Tula said as she impaled herself on him making her gasp in pain as she groaned feeling blood drip out.
Sean kissed her as she tried to adapt to the pain.
Thats when she felt Mera behind her as she pressed herself behind her.
"I'm gonna enjoy this." Mera said as she started humping her butt making her moan louder.
Tula was in paradise as Sean thrusted into her while Mera humped her from behind making her blush lightly from this double teaming.
Thats when she yelped as she felt Sean suck on her left breast while Mera sucked on her neck making her whimper as she felt twice the amount of pleasure inside her.
This went on for an hour before she yelled as she came harder before feeling him come inside her womb making her groan before passing out making them grin as Sean picked her up.
Arriving back to the bedroom Sean placed her down as she snuggled into his chest while Mera held him from behind.
"Ahhh. So worth the wait." Mera said making him smirk as sleep claimed them all.
