Chapter 41 The Big Leagues
It's been a couple weeks since the second Graboid incident and since they found out about the Shriekers.
Now Burt was being paid to take them out whenever they showed up since ARGUS would be keeping a close eye on them
And since Sean learned his Great Grandmother was tricked by Grendel to make what happened to his family 200 years happen.
Right now though.
"Where the hell is the Joker?" Sean asked as they were in the Bat Cave.
"I don't know. He's been a no show for several weeks now since he escaped Arkham...Again." Bruce said.
"Every fucking time I try to kill him he's gets away or somehow escapes death. Like what the hell? What does it take to kill this guy?" Sean asked.
"I have asked that question long before I ever found you two." Bruce said.
"He's got to be somewhere." Barbara said before an alert came up.
"What do we have here?" Sean asked seeing a drone in Dakota catching a glimpse of a young 15 year old African American Meta Human Known as Static.
"Isn't that the new kid in Dakota?" Korra asked.
"Static if I recall correctly. Yeah the area has been filled with New Meta Humans called Bang Babies. Thugs and gangsters and some civilians caught in some chemical blast. This is one of the only few who are good." Sean said before seeing balloons with smily faces on them.
"I think we just found the Joker." Tim said.
"Hmm. You and Barbara go and bring him back." Bruce said.
"You know technically speaking this could actually work to the advantage of the League." Sean said.
"How so?" Bruce asked.
"You'll see soon enough." Sean said as the two left.
"I think I know where he's going with this." Korra said.
Meanwhile
Static was in a hospital room seeing Ferret in a bed laughing uncontrollably.
"What did this to you?" Static asked.
"More along the lines of who." Beowulf said with Batgirl next to him.
"Beowulf! Batgirl?" Static asked in surprise.
"Hello Static." Beowulf said before injecting a cure into Ferret.
"You know me?" Static asked.
"I keep tabs on every enhanced person in the world...Virgil." Beowulf said shocking him. "Piece of advice? Don't change under a freeway or alleyway. Cameras are everywhere." Beowulf said making him chuckle sheepishly.
"So what are you guys doing here? Not that I'm not excited to see one of the best heroes and all." Static said making him chuckle taking off his mask.
"We're here for the Joker." Sean said.
"The Joker? In Dakota? Why?" Static asked.
"Switching things up. He knows Gotham is now nearly crime free because of me and my methods. With Criminals permanently behind bars or dead." Sean said.
"So he came here because he heard about the Bang Babies." Batgirl said.
"So he wants a new crew." Static said.
"You know where some of the meta Humans live? Like Ebon?" Sean asked.
"I got an idea. Why? You bringing him in?" Static asked.
"Not exactly." Sean said.
Later
Ebon was at the old Juvie hall with a frown on his face.
"Where are those fools?" Ebon asked.
"Talking to yourself?" Beowulf asked shocking him seeing him sitting in a chair.
"Whoa. Now hold up I ain't done anything yet." Ebon said holding his hands up.
"Relax, Ivan. I'm not here to fight you." Beowulf said taking his mask off.
"How do you know my name?" Ebon asked.
"I know everything about you. Your Dad passed away due to cancer and took charge after that but ended up hurting your little brother Adam. You regreted that because you do still care about him since he's family and Vice Versa." Sean said making him frown.
"You got any siblings?" Ebon asked.
"I have a younger brother. But I don't force him to do something he ain't comfortable with. Nope. I just let him be himself." Sean said.
"Thats because you were born into privilege. We weren't." Ebon said.
"Yes and No. If you recall past events I told you I was born 200 years ago but my Great Grandmother made my uncle lose control of his darkness and killed my family. I was taken out of time and made into what I am before I was found...And Later adopted by my Adoptive mother. Amanda Waller. An African American Woman who rose through the government to where she is now. But I never took my privileges for granted. No...I earned my position in the world through hard work and determination." Sean said.
"So why are you here?" Ebon asked.
"What If I offered you a way to redeem yourself. Make yourself a better man to someone your brother would respect again? Wash away your sins of your past and make a new life. One where what happened to you never happens again in years to come. Do you want a child to grow up without his parents...As you have?" Sean asked making him frown looking away.
"Say I agree to this. What about my crew? I ain't doing this without them." Ebon said.
"Funny you should mention them. I can do the same for them and of course you'll all be greatly compensated financially. But...You may wanna help stop them right now considering they're working with the Joker." Sean said making his eyes widen.
"What?" Ebon asked.
"Why else do you think I came to you so quickly? Help me turn them and you get your crew back and I get to take down Joker. You all have your records expunged and star anew. I doubt any of you will turn that away so quickly." Sean said.
"Why didn't you say so sooner. No way I'd work that nut job. I got standards." Ebon said.
Later
Joker screamed as Beowulf fired plasma blasts at him after his so called group turned on him in less than a second.
"COME HERE YOU PALE FACE COCKSUCKER!" Beowulf yelled as he got into a truck and tired to drive into him.
"Wow he really hates the Joker." Talon said.
"Oh no joke." Batgirl said as Joker crashed into a wall with an arm out.
Hearing footsteps he reached out.
"Please Beowulf...Help me." Joker said as a hand grabbed him before getting shocked. "Gotcha." Joker said laughing.
Only to widen his eyes seeing it was Static.
"That looks fun. Let me try." Static said sending it back.
"AHHHHHHHHHHHH!" Joker yelled in pain before passing out.
Beowulf looked at this and chuckled.
"Not bad kid." Beowulf said making him smirk. "Now then." Sean said pulling out Mathayus's sword.
Thats when the Police showed up.
"Oh come on! Seriously? Every time I try to kill this sick fuck they show up." Beowulf said as they barged in and took them.
Before they tried to take down the Bang Babies.
"Hold up. They're with me." Sean said.
"Oh great. The Criminal recruiting more criminals." Bullock said as he and Gordon walked in.
"You gotta be fucking kidding me." Sean said annoyed.
"Turn around. I'm placing you under arrest." Bullock said with cuffs in hand.
"Bullock. Thats enough." Gordon said.
"Not this time. I've got all the evidence I need...AHHHH!" Bullock yelled in pain as as the Earth shot up between his legs curtesy of Korra behind him.
"Wow this guy is pathetic." Hotstreak said.
"You have no idea." Sean said.
Soon enough Joker was taken out while Bullock was going to the hospital to treat his near non existent manhood.
"So what happens to Ebon and his crew?" Static asked.
"Oh they'll be evaluated first since it's protocol. As for you bud. We'll be keeping a close eye on ya." Sean said as they got in a Special jet he made.
"So I'll be seeing you guys soon?" Static asked.
"Very. Oh and one last thing. When you go to your little gas station hide out...I gave you a little something." Sean said as they flew off.
Arriving back at his gas station he found a container.
"Huh. Wonder whats in here?" Static asked opening. "Hello!" Static yelled excited seeing new and improved gear and clothes for him. "Oh Man. Richie is gonna be jealous when he sees this." Static said. (Basically his outfit from Season 3 and 4)
Later
"So you gave him the gear we were gonna give him if he joined?" John asked.
"He's still a kid and has a lot of growing to do before he's ready for this. Besides He's gonna need it anyway." Sean said before an alert came up.
"Now what?" Korra asked seeing some explosions at some power plant.
"We need to contain it quickly." Batman said.
"Right lets go." Sean said.
Arriving at the Plant they rushed to make sure everyone was save.
Beowulf was currently shutting down the reactors manually.
"I got the reactors. But something isn't right. This was no accident." Beowulf said.
"How right you are."
"What...AHHH!" Beowulf yelled as he punched into a wall.
(Insert Savitar theme from Flash)
Beowulf looked up before seeing Savitar.
"You?" Beowulf asked surprised.
"Hello Kruger. Surprised to see me?" Savitar asked as he approached him.
"Let me guess. Grendel sent you didn't he?" Beowulf asked.
"And brought me back to life. I despise the idea of serving anyone. But I owe him for bringing me back to life." Savitar said charging at him but Beowulf using his speed dodged before blasting him outside.
Savitar landed on the ground before seeing the rest of the League.
"Savitar?" Flash asked.
"Hello, Barry. So good to see you again." Savitar said.
"I watched you die." Flash said.
"Grendel has brought me back from the dead. All in exchange for killing Beowulf. It's funny. I know so much about you and the League. And yet I know nothing about him. Which means someone has altered the timeline. I don't know who...But I assure you I will find out in time. and when I do...You will all suffer greatly." Savitar said before running away.

Later
"Ok this is getting out of hand. This is the four time Grendel has tried to have Sean killed. First was by tricking his Grandmother into killing Micheal and his family by using his uncle. Second time was using Memnon in the past. Then Zoom and Now this." Korra said holding Sean close.
"Relax. I'm fine." Sean said.
"It's not all right. This is serious." Korra said.
"She's right. We need to figure out who Grendel is and how he's doing this." Batman said.
"Bringing someone back from the dead is no easy task. And More importantly we don't even know why he's after you." Constantine said.
Meanwhile
"YOU IDIOT!" Grendel yelled slamming Savitar into a wall. "I said don't reveal yourself until the time was right." Grendel said.
"I believed I could handle him." Savitar said.
"You said the same thing about Flash when you tried to kill his fiancé and failed. Do not disobey me again." Grendel said leaving.
"I told you he would be angry." Zoom said behind him.
"Theres something very strange about him." Savitar said.
"Like what?" Zoom asked.
"I don't know. He knows how things play out like I do. How?" Savitar asked.
"A good question. In time it will be revealed." Zoom said.
Meanwhile
Sean sighed as he was finally home getting his gear off.
"I swear. What I wouldn't give to figure out who the hell this guy is." Sean said.
"How bout you focus on something else."
Sean turned and looked seeing Diana in nothing but her birthday suit grinning at him.
"Oh wow. I've been looking forward to seeing this." Sean said making her giggle. "So whats the occasion?" Sean asked.
"Well, Grendel has been trying to kill you for a while. And we just found out he brought someone else back. I decided I'm going to help you unwind in Korra's way since she's visiting her parents." Diana said as she pulled him into a kiss which he returned.

Authors Note: Sorry for the wait I decided to get back to Rider of the League for a while which I honestly missed. Now I'm back on this again. When this story is finished I plan to take a break till the end of October so I can focus on my other stories and get caught up and work on the next Legend of Korra crossover story which is a Jackie Chan Adventures crossover.
