Chapter 43 The Brave and the Bold
It's been a month since the Syndicate was defeated and since Superwoman AKA Mary had left her old life behind to come to this Earth to start anew.
Now things had gotten quiet in the last couple of weeks since then.
Right now Sean was in Metropolis going over some new reports of new enhanced individuals.
"Oh brother. I swear." Sean said as the line came on making him answer. "Yeah." Sean said.
"Have you seen the latest report on new enhanced individuals?" Amanda asked.
"Looking right at it. Most are younger heroes who don't even know how to use their abilities. This new one. Reyes has something similar to the White Beatle scarab I had on my neck when I first fought Memnon before it removed itself from me after Atlantis made itself known. You get any new data on it?" Sean asked.
"Yeah. Scans show theres a unique AI inside it that is designed to protect it's host. Thats probably why it attached to you during your fight with him knowing you were in danger when he took your gear." Amanda said.
"That makes sense. Anything new from the Pod?" Sean asked.
"No...Nothing really has shown up since then." Amanda said.
"All right I..." Sean tried to say before getting an alert.
"What is it?" Amanda asked.
"It's Central City. Theres been a robbery and Kid Flash was caught stealing isotopes. Thats not like him he's no thief. Hell he barely understands science that much unless it's cars or the speed force." Sean said.
"Hold on." Amanda said looking into the matter. "Now this is odd. According to records two scientists tried to do the same thing but they don't remember anything about it." Amanda said.
"Thinking what I'm thinking?" Sean asked.
"Either they were under piles of stress or mind control. Theres not many people who can do that. Mad hatter is still in Arkham after you and Bruce took him down at the Circus and everyone else is nowhere near Central City." Amanda said.
"I'll have a look." Sean said leaving.
Later
Sean walked out with Kid Flash and Joe from the station.
"Thanks for bailing me. Thank god it wasn't Crush." Wally said.
"Oh you have no idea how lucky you are bud. Now walk me through exactly what led to this." Sean said.
"Well, I was chasing a Gorila who stole a car before I stopped him and then he talked." Wally said.
"A talking Gorilla?" Joe asked.
"Where exactly did you last see him?" Sean asked.
Arriving at the park they came to a tunnel.
"This is where he was spotted." Wally said as Sean came to the tunnel.
"Ok I'm gonna count to three and you better get your hairy ass out here before I start blasting up the place. One." Sean counted.
"All right relax."
Coming out was a grey haired Gorilla.
"Hello Solovar." Sean said.
"It's been a while." Solovar said.
"Wait...You two know each other?" Joe asked.
"Yup. He supplies Global Tech with advanced tech and in return I help improve his technology to keep Gorilla City hidden. Like I did with Atlantis before they decided to make themselves fully known." Sean said.
"Gorilla city? Really?" Wally asked.
"Have you not seen the world we live in? The Multiverse we live with?" Sean asked.
"He's got a point." Solovar said.
"So what are you even doing here?" Sean asked.
"Unfortunately one of our own tried to take over the City using advanced mind control technology he stole from a shipment you sent us. Fortunately we caught onto what he was doing but failed to capture him. Later we discovered he also stole our city's security plans as well." Solovar said.
"So why is he here?" Joe asked as he went to a push which turned out to be a hologram showing his own transportation.
"My investigation with Members of ARGUS revealed he's been in contact with a scientist in Central City. Dr. Sarah Corwin." Solovar said.
"Wonder Why." Sean said.
"We can easily take down some dumb gorilla...No offense." Wally said dashing off.
"Kid prefers to run first doesn't he?" Solovar asked making Joe chuckle.
"He'll be lucky if Crush doesn't get to him first." Sean said.
"Get to who?" Crush asked landing down on her bike.
"Wally going in without a plan. Got anything for us?" Sean asked as he pulled out some bands.
"These will protect you from Grodd's mind Control." Solovar said.
"I'll head back to Star Labs to see if Barry or anyone else can help." Joe said.
Later
Arriving at the lab they found Wally knocked out.
"Fucking moron. It would be so easy." Crush said with a knife out.
"Don't even think it." Beowulf said.
"Why? He's a moron. Always trying to get into every girl's pants." Crush said making Solovar snicker at that.
"She does make a good point." Solovar said.
"Ok then you explain why Iris's brother is dead to her when you kill him." Beowulf said making her open her mouth before closing it.
"Fine." Crush said annoyed.
"Well, well, well." Grodd said making his presence known. "It's been a long time Kruger." Grodd said.
"Grodd, Why am I not surprised you're doing something like this?" Beowulf asked.
"Hey! Monkey want a banana?" Crush mocked making his eyes twitch while Beowulf and Solovar snickered.
"I hate Bananas." Grodd said.
"But you're a Monkey aren't ya?" Crush asked.
"You do realize theres a different between Monkeys and Apes right?" Beowulf asked making her groan.
"Babe your no fun sometimes you know that?" Crush asked.
"Enough of this." Grodd said taking control of Kid Flash as he stood up before dashing at them knocking Solovar down.
"Come my dear." Grodd said as they left.
"I've been looking forward to this for a while." Crush said giving Wally a powerful uppercut knocking him out. "You are a fucking playboy loser." Crush said.
"Crush." Beowulf said annoyed.
"Well he is. Always trying to get into a girl's pants to brag about it." Crush said before they left as Solovar came to following them.
Arriving in some room they found some device with Grodd and Sarah.
"I hope you enjoy what's to come." Grodd said pressing a button as the device powered up.
"Oh shit." Beowulf said as a large wave hit them all.
Meanwhile
"Whoa!" Korra yelled from her station.
"What is it?" Kazehana asked.
"All of Central City just vanished. It's gone. I can't even contact STAR labs down there." Korra said.
Meanwhile
Beowulf groaned as he got up before seeing Crush and Solovar out cold.
"Wake up." Beowulf said waking them up.
"What just happened? We're all still here." Crush said.
"It wasn't intended to kill. I've seen this tech before and if I'm right." Beowulf said as they went out seeing Wally still out cold before Crush slapped him awake.
"Who, what, Where, When, Why!" Wally yelled fast before seeing everyone glaring at him. "Oh man what I do now?" Wally asked.
"That so called dumb old gorilla knocked your dumbass out. Kid Flash indeed. You are a child." Crush said making him sulk.
"Hmm." Beowulf said looking outside seeing some barrier around the city. "Tell me thats not what I think it is." Beowulf asked.
"It is. It's the same technology that keeps Gorilla city hidden." Solovar said.
"So how do we stop it?" Crush asked.
"My best guess is Grodd keeps the controller for it. We take him out and it should fall." Solovar said.
"Lets get going." Wally said.
Meanwhile
Sage and the others were outside the barrier.
"Man this tech is really advanced." Kiva said as she examined it.
"I've seen it before. It's from a place just as advanced as Atlantis." Sage said.
"So whats it doing here?" Kazehana asked.
"Thats what I'd like to know. Sean, Crush and Wally were here before it went up. So they're still inside." Sage said.
"So how do we handle this?" Karasuba asked.
"We're gonna have to head to the source of this." Sage said.
Meanwhile
Beowulf and the others were walking through the City seeing it abandoned.
"Where is everyone?" Wally asked.
"Grodd's little stunt probably scared everyone in their homes." Solovar said.
"This is usually the part where flesh eating zombies show up...OW OW OW OW OW!" Wally yelled as Crush pinched his cheek hard.
"You are without a doubt the biggest moron I have ever met." Crush said before they heard cheering.
Looking around the corner they saw people cheering for Grodd.
"Of course." Beowulf said.
"The hell is he doing? They're under mind control he can make them say whatever he wants and not mean it." Wally said.
"He knows. It's just increasing his Ego as you people call it." Solovar said before seeing him leave.
"Where is he going now?" Crush asked.
"I have a pretty good idea. You said he swore revenge on Gorilla City right. So why take over an entire city when you want revenge on another?" Beowulf asked making him frown.
"Wait a second. Theres a military base close by. Nuclear missiles." Wally said.
"Oh fucking hell." Beowulf said.
"You know. I was partially glad when Superman got rid of those things for a while. Only reason their making them again is because of bigger threats keep popping up." Crush said making him sigh.
"I hate nukes just as much as the next guy with constant threats like the invaders and Darkseid always popping up it's better to have them than not. Unless you want to be an idiot and not be prepared for the worst case scenario and die willingly." Beowulf said.
Later
Grodd had arrived at the missile site with a grin.
"And now for the finishing touch." Grodd said about to launch them but it denied his access. "WHAT!" Groddd yelled trying again but every time it was denied. "Why won't they launch!" Grodd roared.
"You really are an idiot for the intellect you have you know that?" Beowulf asked leaning on a wall.
"What have you done!" Grodd yelled.
"Me? Nothing. All nuclear missiles require certain codes that only high level generals or individuals have or even Presidents have. It's a security measure to make sure not just anyone can access them. For all of Humanities flaws you say we have we're not as stupid as you make us out to be." Beowulf said.
"AAAAAH!" Grodd roared charging at him before Beowulf blasted him with his Plasma Caster at the head making it collide with the helmet which made it start shaking uncontrollably as Grodd screamed in agonizing pain.
"NO!" Sarah screamed as he passed out.
"Relax. His grip on you is over." Kid Flash said.
"What are you talking about? He never did that to me. I loved him." Sarah making Sean sigh in disgust.
"Internet romances. I hate them beyond words." Beowulf said making Wally nod.
Later
"Gorilla city owes you a debt of gratitude for saving us from Grodd." Solovar said to the League.
"So what happened to Grodd?" Korra asked.
"Follow me." Solovar said.
Walking to a cage they saw him looking out of it.
"Your blast completely fried his brain." Solovar said.
"I almost feel sorry for the little bastard." Crush said.
"He'll be treated with care." Solovar said.
As they left however though they failed to notice someone appear before Grodd.
"I told you this plan you made would fail."
Grodd wiped the droll from his face before looking at the person in front of him.
"It was worth the effort...Grendel." Grodd said.
"Nevertheless my plan succeeded. Your distraction payed off perfectly. I got what I needed." Grendel said.
"I don't see why you needed the remains of those...Shriekers. Or why you even woke so many up in Mexico knowing Kruger would come in to kill them." Grodd said.
"It was necessary part of my plans." Grendel said as they vanished.
Later
Korra sighed as she walked into the penthouse.
After the whole thing was over she just wanted to relax.
"I swear. I almost hate gorillas." Korra said stripping out of her clothes to get in the shower.
Heading inside however she blinked seeing M'gann completely naked washing herself.
"Hello." Korra said amused making her snort.
"You are the horniest woman I have ever met on this planet. Is Sex all you think about?" M'gann asked.
"You tell me." Korra said walking to her putting her back against the wall before pulling her into a kiss which she returned.
Thats when M'gann pulled back with a grin.
"What are you grinning about?" Korra asked.
"You know with my powers I can change my body." M'gann said going for huge breasts and ass making her whistle. "And can turn into anyone." M'gann said slyly.
"What are you getting at?" Korra asked before she morphed into her mother Senna shocking her.

Arriving at the bed Senna changed into M'gann before getting in the bed as they cuddled together.

"Yes baby girl." M'gann said making her sigh as sleep claimed them both.
Authors Note: I bet no one saw that one coming. M'gann turning into Senna to play some mommy daughter action with Korra. Will the real thing ever happen? I don't know. Anyway so yes this whole thing Grodd did was a distraction for Grendel to get the remains of the Shriekers Sean and the others killed in Mexico and now we see Grendel was the reason there were so many there.
