Chapter 49 Tabula Rasa
Its been a week since the Final Brainiac incident and since Grendel's new Shriekers showed up with Regenerative abilities which put people on edge.
A normal Shrieker was difficult enough but these new ones made people realize he could do almost anything. (Oh if only they knew)
Right now though.
Beowulf growled as Luthor in a new suit was trying to kill him.
Somehow Luthor got out of his cell when a new Guard shift occurred at the CIA black site Eda put him in.
One of the guards was a rookie and underestimated Luthor which resulted in his escape.
Then about 2 minutes earlier he flat out attacked him from nowhere.
"Eda I fucking swear." Beowulf said as he tried to blast him.
"You'll pay for taking my company away from me!" Luthor yelled.
"It was that or your cancer." Beowulf said.
"I would have stuck with my cancer if it meant having my company!" Luthor yelled.
"Oh sure it's always greed." Beowulf said as he blasted him with his Plasma Caster making him yell in pain.
Thats when Superman and Hawkgirl arrived making him growl as he blasted a boat.
"LEX YOU COCKSUCKER!" Beowulf yelled.
"I'll give you the choice Joker always does. Save them or kill me!" Luthor yelled flying away making him growl.
"He can wait." Superman said as they flew off.
Meanwhile
At Legecy Tech Mercy was walking to Asami's office while on the phone.
"Then fire them. In fact, get rid of the whole division. I don't care what Luthor would've done. Asami is in charge of the company and if you can't accept that I'll..." Mercy tried to say but as she entered Asami's office she widened her eyes in shock seeing Luthor with his armor damaged looking weak.
"Mercy...Help me." Luthor said before falling over.
She slowly walked over to him with a smirk on her face before crossing her arms under her bust.
"I'm..." Luthor tried to say.
"Sick? Dying? And you couldn't do it somewhere else?" Mercy asked making him widen his eyes.
"After all I've done for you." Luthor said.
"Yeah thats not gonna fly anymore. Asami treats me way better than you ever did. Now if you think..." Mercy tried to say before he grabbed her by the neck.
"Looks like theres still life in the suit after all. Now wheres Professor Ivo?" Lex asked.
"Asami fired him." Mercy said.
"She did what? He was our best scientist! How could you do that? Well?" Lex asked.
"He kept causing trouble and Asami had enough. He might still be at his old lab." Mercy said making him growl throwing her away before flying off.
Later
"Who the hell is Ivo?" Sean asked as they were in Asami's office.
"He was once one of Lexcorp's most promising scientists. But he consantly caused problems for this new Company I'm making and I had enough. So I had no choice but to fire him and his entire lab was cleaned out." Asami said.
"Hmm. Why would Lex want his help?" Batman asked.
"Nano technology was his greatest work. Whatever he's up to most involve his old suit." Mercy said.
Meanwhile
Luthor had arrived at Ivo's place seeing it deserted.
"Where is that fool?" Lex said before going inside.
Only to see it all bloody.
"Oh this is so not a good sign." Lex said.
"You?"
Lex turned and saw Grendel making him frown.
"What are you doing here?" Lex asked.
"I was gonna ask you the same thing. I was looking for Ivo to work for me. But sadly something or someone got to him first. This is not how things are supposed to be." Grendel said.
"What are you talking about?" Lex asked.
"None of your business." Grendel said vanishing.
"Hmph." Lex said before seeing a giant Silver robot. "And just who are you?" Lex asked before it's eyes glowed and morphed his face into his shocking him.
Meanwhile
Beowulf was patroling the skies looking for Lex.
"I swear that fucker is getting on my nerves." Sean said before he was tackled down onto a building.
Looking up he saw Grendel making him growl as he pulled out his Glaive.
"What do you want now?" Beowulf asked.
"I actually didn't come to fight." Grendel said making him glare. "I know you're looking for Luthor. I don't like him anymore than you do and I know he'll be a problem in years to come. Which is why I'm giving you some free information." Grendel said.
"Why?" Beowulf asked.
"As I said. I know he'll be a problem in years to come. He's at Ivo's Lab looking for him...As was I but someone killed him before I could get to him which shouldn't have happened." Grendel said.
"What do you mean by that? I already know you can travel back in time if Memnon is any indiction. Thats how I first learned about you." Beowulf said.
"Thats true. And I know certain points in time. Thats why what happened to Ivo is a mystery to me. He wasn't supposed to die just yet. He still had a few weeks before his time came from smoking." Grendel said making him frown.
"Just who are you? Some fucked up experiment of the Time Masters before it was destroyed?" Beowulf asked.
"No but good guess. I know everything in this universe. The Avatar's on the other hand though I know nothing. I knew nothing about Amon nor anything that comes after." Grendel said.
"But you clearly have allies there." Beowulf said.
"Perhaps I do...Perhaps I don't. You and I are destined to fight each other though that I can tell you. You stole everything from me. It's funny. You and I are a lot alike. We both plan ahead. Makes plans within plans. Gather allies. Only differences is our methods. I give people what they desire to earn their loyalty. You give them a chance of redemption. Which is funny considering your for giving your Great Mother forgiveness despite the fact is I tricked her into murdering your family without her knowing that part." Grendel said making him glare.
"First of all I haven't forgiven her for squat. I'm giving her a chance to redeem herself. The Old man said everyone has that right to be given another chance. Who are we to question the word of god himself?" Beowulf asked.
"Hmph! I question what makes you so special. Luthor as at Ivo's home in the mountains. You'll find him there." Grendel said vanishing.
"Hmm." Beowulf said.
"Uh Sean? We might have a new situation here." Flash said.
"What now?" Beowulf asked.
Later
"So let me get this straight? This giant Android showed up out of nowhere and attacked Hawkgirl and took her powers?" Sean asked.
"Thats what happened. It was like a perfect copy of them." Hawkgirl said.
"Even copied her mace." Regina said.
"Hmm." Sean said accessing video surveillance before his mask scanned it. "Oooh what a coincidence." Sean said.
"What is it?" Batman asked.
"It's Nanotech." Sean said.
"Nanotech? You mean like the kind Ivo makes?" Korra asked.
"Which means thats where it came from." Sean said.
"I don't get it. How did Ivo make this thing? To be able to copy all our powers like that." Karasuba said.
"Well, Nanotech has a lot of possibilities. And this thing clearly came from Ivo who's dead." Sean said.
"How do you know?" Superman asked.
"Grendel told me believe it or not." Sean said shocking them.
"Grendel told you?" Flash asked.
"Went to Ivo to recruit him but someone killed him." Sean said.
"Why?" Elastigirl asked.
"That I don't know. Most likely someone pissed off at him or something." Sean said.
"Did he say where to find him?" Batman asked.
"Somewhere in the mountains." Sean said.
"That shouldn't be too hard." Flash said.
"In the meantime you guys look for that android and for the love of god. Please try to keep a distance so he doesn't copy anymore powers. Otherwise it'll be impossible to best him without leveling the whole place." Sean said.
Later
Sean and the others arrived at Ivo's home seeing it perfectly fine.
"Seems ok to me." Korra said about to open it but Sean shielded her as it exploded.
"You were saying?" Sean asked amused making her pout as she used airbending to blow out the fires.
"Luthor must have rigged this place to keep us from discovering anything we could use against him." Superman said.
"Uh yeah. Not so much." Sean said repairing everything so easily.
"Nice." Batman said.
"Lets see here." Sean said finding some blue prints.
"This can't be good." Korra said looking at the ones for the Android. "AMAZO? Catchy." Korra said.
"This must be what Hawkgirl encountered. Here it is. Has the ability to not only copy everyones abilities but in time can become immune to the weaknesses of those powers." Sean said.
"You mean like how I'm vulnerable only to Kryptonite or the Red Suns." Superman said.
"Exactly. And...If I'm reading this right...It'll evolve and become sentient in a higher form." Sean said.
"Higher form?" Superman asked.
"A celestial." Sean said.
"Aren't Celestials born not made?" Superman asked.
"Well, life is full of surprises as I've learned a long time ago." Sean said.
"So Luthor is just doing what? Manipulating him to get even for you taking his company away?" Korra asked.
"I don't think it will stick though. Someone like that isn't naive for long. He'll realize sooner or later he's being used and go against him." Sean said.
"So why wait?" Korra asked grinning.
"I see where you're going with this." Sean said.
Later
Luthor laughed as he had the Justice League beaten.
"Killing all of you will be so satisfying." Luthor said before Beowulf flew down to him. "Ah, even better." Lex said as AMAZO approached him scanning him or rather tried.
"Strange...I can't copy any of your powers." AMAZO said.
"Precautions I assume. Tell me this? Why are you following Luthor?" Sean asked.
"Don't listen to him! He's the reason Ivo is dead since he refused to help him." Lex said.
"And how could I refuse to help the guy when I've never even met him." Sean said.
"What?" AMAZO asked frowning at Lex who glared.
"Unlike Lex I never lie or deceive anyone. I never met Ivo before since he never worked for me. He worked for Asami but he always caused problems from what I heard and she let him go. However I don't know how he was killed." Sean said.
"He was killed by Intergang members who he owed money to but didn't have the right amount so they killed him and took what remained." AMAZO said.
"Ah. And Lex made it sound like it was my fault. Not surprising to be honest since he's always done this. After all he helped make Weapons and sold them to terrorists both in this world and in another without a second thought all for money." Sean said making him frown as he glared at Lex.
"So you lied to me." AMAZO said before he pulled out a Detonator.
Only to yell as Korra took it after snapping his wrist.
"Do whatever you want." Korra said as AMAZO tore Lex's armor apart.
"NO! NO PLEASE!" Lex yelled.
"So Small." AMAZO said.
"He is sure. But Humanity does have good potential. They just need time." Sean said.
"As for you. You can do anything you want. And I suggest going out there." Korra said after knocking Lex out.
"Yes...I suppose I can." AMAZO said as he glowed turning golden. "By the way I believe the term is...Congratulations." AMAZO said to Korra making her blink.
"For what?" Korra asked.
"I detect an extra heartbeat inside you which indicates you are expecting." AMAZO said shocking her as Sean widened his eyes.
"Eh?" Sean asked as AMAZO left while Sean looked at Korra as did the others making her chuckle sheepishly. "Korra?" Sean asked.
"Um...I was gonna tell you." Korra said sheepishly.
Later
"Of all the crazy things you ever pulled. Going out into a fight after just discovering you were pregnant." Sean said annoyed.
"Sorry. I wanted one last mission before I temporarily hung up my hood." Korra said.
"How far along are you?" Batman asked.
"I don't know. A week at best." Korra said.
"I'll have Ann check you up." Sean said.
"I know your mad since we usually like to plan these things in advance but." Korra tried to say.
"I ain't mad. I consider this a gift. I just wish you told me the second you found out." Sean said.
"I thought you always took precautions." Barry said.
"We do. Then again though my powers are always evolving in new and unique forms so this wasn't totally unexpected." Sean said.
Later
Mercy was waking up in her penthouse with a moan as she turned around facing Sean's bare chest making her smirk as she kissed him.
Thats when her phone rang making her growl picking it up.
"They're only giving me one phone call so listen closely." Lex said.
"Uh no. Sorry Lex thats not happening. Now...Don't bother me again for good." Mercy said making him roar as she hung up making her sigh in bliss.
"What was that? Sexually arousing pissing him off?" Sean asked amused making her giggle.
"You have no idea." Mercy said. "By the way I wanna show you something." Mercy said.
Soon the two were down in the labs.
Thats when they found a woman in a tube.
She had purple hair and white skin with very large breasts and bubble butt.
"This is Six. She's an experiment Lex was working on. To sell grown humans for slave traffic." Mercy said.
"And she's the only one?" Sean asked.
"Pretty much since he got arrested and lost the company after he gave it away unknowingly." Mercy said as Sean released her as she fell into his arms showing her blue eyes for a second before falling asleep making him smile.
"Well, unlike him I plan to make sure she's treated right." Sean said making her grin.
Authors Note: Sorry for the long wait but like I said before I am losing my writing motivation. Slowly getting it back but I won't be writing again till say the end of the month at best since I'm just tired from work and all. So this is something to let you know I'm ok.
