The D&D Chronicles: The Adventure Begins
Chapter 16: Really Small Problems
Delta Rune, onroute to The Owl House…
"So is this where Eda lives?" Patrick asked, as he and Chris followed his sisters and Luz to Eda's home, since the girls have been there before.
Today, of course, the group were on their way to Eda's, as it was Luz's first day of being a Witch's apprentice, and that she would soon learn magic from a powerful witch, on the condition that she would help Eda out as well.
The plan being while Luz would do… whatever it will be that Eda will have her do, the others would head to the Forge for Patrick's training, while doing a little bit of their homework as well to get ready for school tomorrow.
"That's right," Luz said, proudly, as they strolled across the forests by Delta Rune, until they finally arrived at the destination, "welcome to the Owl House."
Patrick and Chris were very much amazed by the design and how it looked like.
"This is a pretty nice place." Chris complimented.
"It sure is," Luz smiled, "it's the sort of place where you can wake up and say 'Good morning, terrifying yet wonderful fantasy world!'"
"Good morning!" cried out a nearby lake beast, as it waved hello to the surprised group, before sinking back into the lake.
"How… about you show us inside?" Patrick asked.
Luz nodded at that as she turned to head to the Owl House… only to be faced with Hooty who came right up to her and chirped, "Hi, Luz!"
The group yelped with a startle, as Luz then did a quick karate chop on Hooty's head.
"Ow!" Hooty cried, a little annoyed, "I just wanted to say 'hello' to ya!"
The group looked as Hooty stretched back to his position, surprised that he could stretch his neck (which was both weird and a little creepy) as he grumbled, "Sheesh… Hoot. Ow."
"Sorry about that, Hooty." Luz replied.
"Odd fellow, isn't he?" Chris asked.
"You have no idea…" Taylor replied, as Luz opened the door and let the others in.
Patrick and Chris were quite intrigued as they looked around the main living room, as the former said, "Nice digs."
The group then heard a bit of snoring, and on the sofa was King, snuggled up like a pet dog/cat, and they could help but see how cute it was, as Luz then went to King, and woke him up as she picked him up, and smiled, "Morning, you little cutie-pie."
"I am not your cutie-pie!" King yelped, as he struggled to get out of Luz's hug as she smothered him with kisses.
"Yes, you are." Luz cooed, before putting him down.
King then slumped back on the sofa as he sighed, before snoozing once more, "I know…"
"So, Luz," Patrick then smiled, "are you ready to for your first day of becoming a witch?"
"You bet I am!" Luz smiled, before approaching a nearby closet, "but first…"
She then covered her eyes as she opened the door, muttering aloud, "Please have witchy clothes. Please have witchy clothes. Please have witchy clothes."
As she opened her eyes, she found… black witch clothes, which included hats and brooms too, much to her excitement, as she giggly screamed, "Yes, yes, yes, yes, yes!"
A minute or two later, she proudly stood in front of her friends, dressed like a witch, with a sticky name tag that said, 'Hello, my is Witch Apprentice Luz' (the latter part that she wrote herself).
Soon the group looked and saw Eda enter the room… though not what they expected.
Eda was now wearing what looked like casual pajamas of sorts, consisting of a plum sweater with amber cuffs, a stained, long, violet nightgown, and light yellow bunny slippers.
Though while the others were baffled, Luz was super excited as the Owl Lady noticed them as the young girl said, "Good morning, Eda the Owl Lady. I am ready for my first day of Witch Apprenticeship."
There was a moment of silence, until Eda looked to them… and asked, "Who are you again?"
Now Luz was baffled and stunned, just as the others. Did she forget what she's doing today?
"That's Luz. Remember?" Patrick spoke up, "The girl that you've been tasked by Asgore and Toriel to teach her how to be a witch?"
"Who helped you out, as we did, during that Nabakza prison incident?" Taylor added.
"We defeated the warden together. Yesterday." Luz also added, as Eda used her magic to bring forth a mug that had on it the words, '30 and Flirty' and poured some sort of drink substance in it.
"Lay off the details, will ya?" Eda said, "I haven't had my cup of orange blood yet."
"You mean orange juice?" Hilda asked.
"No."
As Eda took a nice, long sip of… uh… orange blood, Patrick and Luz at each other, as the former helped the latter to encourage Eda to teach her, which she nodded in reply and approached Eda.
"Please, Eda, teach me some spells." Luz asked, before going asking, "When do I get a magic staff? Was I supposed to bring my own runes? Do you have a dangerous magical quest for me?"
"Steady on, kid," Eda said, telling Luz to slow down, "Being a witch doesn't happen overnight. Also, you're wrapped in a bathrobe and wearing the dirtiest traffic cone I've ever seen."
The group looked to Luz as she took off the 'witch's hat', only to blow on it and prove what Eda said that she was actually wearing a very old and dirty traffic cone.
"But a magic staff, huh?" Eda said with a bit of interest, whipping away the orange blood mustache from her face, "You really want one?"
"More than anything." Luz replied, glee in her eyes.
Eda then boldly stood still, and raised out her right hand as she cried, "Magic staff, come to me!"
Seconds later, the group could hear some clattering and crashing coming from around the house, until finally, Eda's staff appeared, bashing into her before falling over, until she finally got hold of it and stated to the kids, "It's early."
Eda then looked to Luz as she proudly explained, "Now, witches are awarded their staffs from school. With me as your teacher, you'll be taking a different approach."
She then brought out what looked like a bag of bottles and boxes of sorts, as she added, "You'll have to work for it."
The group looked at the various items that were in the bag, then looked to Eda as Taylor asked, "What exactly is all this?"
"Oh, these are just several bits and stuff of my little businesses that I run." Eda said, as she explained, "On most days, I offer rare human treasures, items and knick-knacks that Owlbert drags over from your realm to the other realms."
She then got out what looked like a toy sword that kids would play, as she pressed the button, the voice from the sword spoke, "I shall smite my enemies! Ages six to eleven."
"While on other days, I sell only the finest homemade elixirs and potions." Eda added, as Hilda took a look at one of the bottles that were in the bag.
"'Snake Oil'?" Hilda asked, reading the label.
"No one wants an un-oiled snake." Eda stated.
Deciding to change the subject on the item, Taylor looked to Eda and eyed her as she asked, "So you're saying that instead of magic lessons, you're just having Luz do you work on deliveries?"
"I bet it could be more to that," Chris suggested, "sure, Luz will be doing deliveries now, but maybe over time, she'll soon learn about magic when the time is right. After all, the journey of 1000 miles begins with a single step."
"See, he gets it." Eda smiled, before looking at Luz and said, "Keep up this work, and then we'll get to learning the magic."
Luz smiled upon hearing that, as Eda then said, "King will come along with you."
"Wait-what?!" King woke up hearing that, as he instantly looked at Eda and complained, "But I just found the perfect spot for a nap. Why do I have to go?"
"Delta Rune can be a pretty tricky and tough place," Eda explained to him, "and you and I know she's either going to get lost or eaten, probably both."
"Uh… no, I won't." Luz pointed out, as she quickly changed out of the 'witch' outfit and back into her normal clothes.
Eda and King ignored that as the former continued, "And because you work for me, too, unless you want to start paying rent."
King grunted in annoyance at that, then groaned as he said, "Fine… I'll come along…"
"Great!" Eda smiled, as she helped escort the group (and King) out the door, "You all take care now."
She then looked to Luz, "And Luz, remember to never befriend a man in sandals and always measure twice, cut once. Be back with everything delivered or risk mortal peril."
She then closed the door, leaving the group with Hooty as he happily chirped, "Have a nice day!"
"Let's get this over with." King groaned, as the others followed him back into Delta Rune.
Delta Rune, Market Place
During the wander into Delta Rune's market, Patrick and his friends explained to King about how he became the new Paladin following Balasar's death, met Blinky, AAARRRGGHH!, Sans and Papyrus and the Dreemurrs, as well as their encounter with Ghoular and their quick getaway, and finally the planned rematch between Patrick and Kriv.
"So you really think that you will be able to beat this Kriv guy?" King let out a tiny chuckle.
"I'm sure he can do it." Hilda replied, smiling as she added, "If he can be able to fight Ghoular a while back, then he can be able to take on Kriv."
"Thanks, sis, I really needed to hear that." Patrick smiled.
"Of course you needed to hear that," Luz replied, "you're on your path of greatness, just like I am, and just as Azura did!"
"Yeah… did Azura's path to greatness involve her delivering boil cream?" King asked, a little doubtful, showing a bottle of said 'Boil Cream'.
"Today I'm delivering packages for now, but tomorrow I'll be earning the respect of everyone in Delta Rune with my magical prowess." Luz said with a smile.
"Good luck with that!" King scoffed.
"Well, I'm sure you get there, Luz." Taylor smiled, while eyeing the mischievous King of Demons.
"Anyways, we better get to the forge for training." Patrick said, as he and the others waved goodbye to Luz and King, "Good luck on your deliveries, future Witch Luz."
"You too, Paladin Patrick." Luz smiled as she returned the wave, then got the bag of deliveries and said, "Now my search begins."
She then spotted a centaur nearby at a pumpkin stand, and knew it will nbe her first customer, she approached the centaur and said with a smirk, "What has four hooves and wants to buy a potion? This guy."
The centaur put down the pumpkin it was holding… and spoke from his chest, revealing where the eyes and mouth were, much to Luz's statement as he said, "My eyes are down here."
Trollmarket
Deciding to take a shortcut through Trollmarket to get to the Forge, Patrick and his friends met up with Blinky and were having a nice look around the Trolls' little home under Delta Rune, looking at some of the stands and marketplaces, while Blinky was helping explain more about their home, since they didn't stay long the first time they were there.
"What are the piles of junk and rubbish all about?" Hilda asked Blinky during their look around, to see one troll carrying all sorts of rubbish and other trash.
"As you humans would say, "One man's trash is another man's treasure", and that's precisely how we trolls usually see, and what we love to sell and buy between other trolls." Blinky happily said, as he gestured to several of the market stand and shops run by trolls, the kids looking around once more around the trolls' home, being interested (though at most times a little disturbed and/or grossed out) of trash and junk that trolls would sell for other trolls to buy, such as stinky socks for some of the trolls to snack on (one of the trolls' known things to eat, besides normal food, they also like trash food too, according to Blinky).
Taylor then saw one troll coming up to the one troll carrying the pile, and the trash troll happily offered the troll what looked like a sink pipe.
"What does that troll want with that?" she asked.
"It's probably for his hoard." Blinky replied.
"I think I've read a bit about troll treasure hoards." Hilda stated.
"As I said, 'One man's trash is another troll's treasure'," Blinky said, happily, "while you humans are probably thinking of the usual treasure like gold and silver, most trolls tend to focus on a more modest and curated collection of something they're particularly interested in."
He then showed them examples of each collection that few of the trolls were making.
"I collect car parts." said one troll.
"Barrels, buckets and pine cones." said another.
"Bones." said a cute tiny troll… in front of a hoard of bones and skeletons, much to the disturbing state of the humans.
Hilda looked at one troll, that was black and spiky, and asked, "What do you collect?"
"Soft furnishings." he replied, gesturing to an amazing pile of mattresses, pillows and duvets.
"Human Paladin!" the group heard Papyrus's voice, as he and Sans appeared.
"Hey, Papyrus," Chris turned to them, "what's up?"
"The Human Paladin is needed by one of the trolls." Papyrus replied for him, "It's an emergency!"
"Oh no," Blinky looked concerned, "is it the Heartstone?"
"Nope." Sans shook his head, "It's still good."
"Is Ghoular in Trollmarket?" Patrick asked nervously, worried that if the terrifying troll was in Trollmarket, he would have to try and take him or get killed by him before, not just the play, but his rematch with Kirv.
"Worse than that." Papyrus stated, squinting his eyes in a serious tone.
"What's worse than Ghoualr?" Taylor asked.
"Minxies! Horrible little minxies!" cried a troll that looked like a big woman, though her voice sounded a little bit like a man impersonating one.
She had green skin and brown hair. She also has brown eyes, an orange nose and purple lips. Her hair was spiked up at the back, while most of it covered the left side of her face, hiding her left eye, and she wore an odd sort of clothing.
The group had arrived at a gift shop run by the troll, whom Blinky said her name was Bagdwella.
Bagdwella's shop was clustered and messy, but also rather eclectic in a nice way. It reminded them of the thrift stores they visited a while back. Glowing gems in hues of green, blue, and pink hung from the ceiling on threads like fairy lights, illuminating her stock dimly. As if someone had organised a dumping ground, all of Bagdwella's items were old human appliances or clothes, cluttered into piles on the floor or shelves. She stood behind a stone bar like a human cashier behind a till, ready to take an order.
Entering the shop, Patrick and the others saw that the rest of their friends were there with AAARRRGGHH! as well.
When Hilda saw her friends, she was a little surprised on how she saw Frida, as while her hair looked the same, it almost had several strains of hair sticking out.
"Hi, David. Hey, Frida." Hilda waved hello.
"Hey, Hilda." David waved back.
"Hi." Frida said, a little tired, and did a small, weak wave, almost like she didn't get any sleep.
"Oh, David, bug." Hilda pointed out, as she then picked up a blew on a bug that was on David, and it then flew away after that.
She then looked to Frida, "Anyways, Frida, are you alright?"
Before she could answer about what happened, Bagdwella started explaining what had happened in her shop.
"First I couldn't find my monocle, then my collection of bedsprings!" Bagwela stalked around, throwing her hands in the air. "Now something disappears every minute!"
As if on cue, as the troll woman was about to take a seat, a blur of green zipped across the ground and stole the stool she was about to sit on. Patrick watched Bagdwella hit the ground and yelp, but then he turned his gaze on the green blur. Unfortunately, it was gone before he could follow it. That left him and his friends to glance around to try and catch a glimpse of it.
"Ah, yes," Blinky said, "Minxies."
"Wait, aren't those the green creatures that look like the mice from Cinderella?" Taylor asked.
"The very ones," Patrick nodded, "I remember."
Blinky, meanwhile, tried to give the shopkeeper a hand up, but was swatted away. "Oh, dirty little pests!" She wiped dust off her leather skirt, knocking the skull at her belt. She then picked up a strip of a dirty yellow sticky pad from behind the counter, one dainty skeleton of said pest stuck to it. "Up till last week, the glue traps were working fine!"
Patrick and most of his friends, most notably Hilda and her friends, stared at the skeleton, still with its hat and shirt on, and felt a pang of empathy for the trapped thing.
Before she could make another comment, though, a string of giggles sounded and the minxie skeleton disappeared from Bagdwella's hand.
The group and Bagdwella looked and saw the zipping blur going all around the shop.
Giving what was supposed to be a sweet smile, but came across as more threatening, Bagdwella put her hands in a begging motion. "Fix it, Paladin?"
"Yeah…" Patrick said, a little nervous in his voice, "love to, but I think what you need is a Minxie catcher, and I'm kinda the Paladin and-"
Before he could continue, Blinky then spoke up, "Oh no, Master Patrick, the Paladin cannot refuse the call."
"Even for a pest problem like this?" Patrick raised an eyebrow.
"Indeed," Blinky nodded, "and what better way to officially start your actual job than to catch a pint-sized pipsqueak?"
Before anyone could answer, strums of a small guitar was heard coming from a high alcove. The minxie revealed itself, a slender green mouse-like creature with pointy ears wearing an orange jacket, red turtleneck, red hat and brown slippers, grinning with needle teeth and singing in gibberish. Like a street busker, it sat on the edge of a stone and swung its legs, playing a sweet tune.
"Careful, he's trying to distract us," Blinky warned them, "hold tight to your valuables."
"Why, it can't be that bad, I think it's kinda cute." Chuckie smiled, clapping to the little beat the minxie was playing until suddenly, another blur zipped by Chuckie, taking his belt.
"Hey, my belt!" he cried, as he and the others looked back to the minxie, only to see another one with him. This minxie was a portly green mouse-like creature with pointy ears, like his slender partner, while wearing a yellow shirt, dark green hat and brown shoes, and was currently holding Chuckie's belt, before both of them zipped off.
"Yikes… they are pretty clever…" Hilda pointed out.
"Yeah," Chuckie said, before taking out a candy bar and said, "at least they didn't take my Cookie Crunchie."
A blur suddenly grabbed the bar, much to Chuckie's shock, until his face turned personally serious as he growled, "We need to catch those minxies."
Soon the mouse… eh, I mean, minxie hunt was on.
Across the shop, the group looked here, there and everywhere as they tried to spot the two trouble making pests, as two mischievous green blurs whizzed past them left and right, up and down and all around.
"Look, there they are!" Chris cried, pointed in one direction.
"No, they're over there!" Taylor pointed in another.
"They're here!" Callum cried, seeing them go by.
"No, there!" Blinky added, catching them escaping another way.
"Right here." AAARRRGGHH! pointed out, as he pointed to his head, showing both of them on him as they waved hello, before zipping off again.
Soon, the hunt went out of control, as it felt like your usual Tom and Jerry cartoon, as each of the group tried to catch the two minxies, most times, they almost caught them in baskets or cans, only to find out they were not there anymore.
The minxies were quite fast (while the slender one was very very fast, the portly one wasn't very fast, yet still fast enough to avoid getting caught), and during the chase, even snatched a few of Bagdwella's socks.
Papyrus tried to attack the minxies with his bones, only for the bones to strike down on some of the fragile items in Bagdwella's shop, much to the troll's annoyance and anger.
The group, meanwhile, would grab them with one hand, only to see the pest squirm out of them with ease.
At other times, the group end up in small dog piles trying to grab them, or even crash into each other too.
And as for Sans… well… he supervised.
At one point, both pests ran up to AAARRRGGHH! who lifted his foot up… and let them pass under it, much to Patrick's annoyance (as he tried to grab them, only to land flat on the ground), as the gentle troll reminded him, "Pacifist."
"AAARRRGGHH!," Patrick grumbled as he got up, "forgive me if I say this, but your 'pacifist' shtick is really starting to get on my-"
Just as he was about to finish his sentence, another blur whizzed passed him… and it was there that Patrick noticed something wrong and quickly checked his pockets on his trousers, then his jacket pockets.
The trouser ones were still alright…
The jacket ones were okay… but one seemed light…
"Oh crud!" he cried to the others, "Where's the amulet?!"
Blinky's eyes widened too, as he and Patrick then heard some mischievous jibbering, and saw both minxies with mischievous grins… and the slender one holding the amulet!
"Oh no!" Blinky cried.
But it was too late, before Patrick or his sisters could grab them, both minxies ran off and hid behind a cupboard, just as the siblings reached it, AAARRRGGHH! then helped push it aside with ease, with just his finger, revealing to them a hole hidden behind it, as they could hear the mischievous giggling of the two minxies that went in.
"Hole." AAARRRGGHH! rumbled.
Blinky nodded as he approached the hole. "Yes, it would appear the plot quite literally deepens."
Patrick then had an idea, and brought his hands into the hole a bit.
He thought that if the amulet always came back to him once, then it could do it again.
Any minute now…
Any minute…
"Come on," he muttered, "come back here…"
Nothing happened.
"I don't get it," he said, "shouldn't the amulet come back to me right about now!"
"That's right," Taylor stated, "we tried many times to get rid of it and it always found its way back."
"Unfortunately, that rule only applies if you rejected it," Blinky pointed out, with an unfortunate look on his face, "when stolen, that's another story."
"Wow, that's one major design flaw." Callum said, before saying with a hint of sarcasm, "When do we get to have a chat with this Merlin guy?"
"Of all the times we wanted it to not come back, it chooses now to do so!" Patrick grumbled.
"If you'd read A Brief Recapitulation, you would have known that." Blinky stated, earning a scratch behind the head from a sheepishly nervous Patrick.
"Huh, some Paladin you turn out to be…" Bagdwella grumbly muttered under her breath, though Patrick felt a little hurt hearing this, before turning to Blinky.
"What are we going to do now?" Patrick asked, "None of us can fit in through that hole."
Blinky rubbed his chin for a good couple of seconds before he hummed, "Currently…"
"Blinky, are you sure…?" Papyrus asked, a little uncertain.
"Don't know about idea." AAARRRGGHH added.
"I know, but no Paladin has ever lost their Amulet before!" Blinky pointed out, before humming thoughtfully, tapping a finger against his carved chin. "They're away today until later, so we'll have to let them know what's happening when they return and help them with procuring the Furgolator."
"Wait… the whatsitnow?" Taylor asked, as she and the others raised their eyebrows with curiosity and uncertainty.
"And whose 'they'?" Hazel added.
"Ah, don't you worry, young masters," Blinky ushered them a little, "you all go and tend to your studies. We will watch over the hole."
As they started to leave, the kids heard Blinky as he added to Patrick, "And by tomorrow, Master Patrick, after your school hours, you'll return refreshed to deal with this…" he then let out a nervous chuckle as he looked to the hole and added, "little problem."
Brady Oaks Library
One of the known sites to see in Brady Oaks was the town library, having two floors, both of them filled with dozens of cabinets with books about every conceivable subject, while in the center, there is a large open section with a ceiling window. Anyone who would need information, or perhaps a nice place to read, this was where they'd go to do that stuff.
It was here being one of the spots where the party would come together, to help out each other with work for school, or perhaps to help find a book that they need, be it for a relaxing reading or even to look at for a while.
Today, of course, the group were there right now, as Patrick and most of his friends were looking for books and a bit of research for some of their upcoming exams. Hilda (having her work already done by the mysterious visitor), meanwhile, was having a little chat with Frida and David, asking the former about the state she saw her in when they met up at Bagdwella's.
"So, what exactly happened?" Hilda asked, looking a little concerned for one of her friends, "You're usually this tidy when we see you."
"I know, it's just…" Frida began to speak, a little nervous, until she swallowed her nervousness and said, "but somehow, I might do have a ghost… or something in my house that's been taking my family's things."
"So you and your family found your stuff?" Ezran asked.
"We did," Frida replied, "it was strange, as they were inside one of the walls of our house, and the car keys, my mum's jewels and my satch were all there. But the weird thing was that where they were… almost looked like something from a doll house."
"And is that when you ended up with that look earlier?" Patrick asked, joining the conversation a little as he was looking for a book for his Spanish exam.
"For the most part," Frida explained, "it was because… someone tangled my hair to my bed end, spread makeup all over my mum's face, and even switched the sugar with the salt when my parents were trying to have their coffee."
Frida sighed as she said, "I hate to admit it… but maybe there is a ghost in my house… or some other spirit…"
"Guess you and Patrick both have some mystical problems," Ezran said, "Patrick with his amulet taken by Minxies and now your ghost."
"Don't worry, Frida," Hilda comforted her, "I'm sure we'll get to the bottom of this."
Suddenly, a book landed on the table, catching them by surprise, before looking up to see the Librarian up on one of the sliding stepladders.
The Librarian was a young female adult, between her 20s-40s. She wore a grey sweater vest, a white blouse, grey leggings, and a dark brown skirt with a brown cloak across her shoulders. Her hair was mostly black, but had purple towards the tips. She was currently wearing black/grey headphones attached to a portable media player.
"I believe you'll find that book to be of interest." she said in a Swedish accent, with a smile, before sliding away to another part of the library.
The party looked puzzled by this, but looked at the requested book anyway.
Looking into the book, that had the title, 'Tales of House Spirits' on it, they noticed a bookmark in one of the pages, and upon turning to the page that it was marked, it showed them pictures of an odd little creature, dressed up in nice little hand-me-down clothes, barefoot, with causican human-like skin, pointy ears, tufts of hair, puff eyebrows and a sweet smile, while his face seemed to have a few whiskers like a mouse.
Next to these pictures were words, one of them being the name of the page, as Hilda read aloud, "Brownie: known from Scottish folklore, the Brownie is a household spirit known to live in human households, hidden from plane sight of the humans who live in the house. Brownies often help out with small chores, and can be quite tidy at times. They can be found in a variety of places, perhaps in an abandoned barn, an unused closet, or within the walls. Despite their love of cleanliness, brownies are rather shabby in appearance, often going shoeless or wholly unclothed."
Frida was surprised by this, "So I don't have a ghost in my house… I have a… Brownie?"
"Seems like it. Callum said.
"There's more," Patrick said, as he continued for Hilda, "take full caution and beware the Boggart."
"Wait… there's a Brownie AND a Boggart?!" Frida exclaimed (quitely, of course, they were in a library).
"No, no, here's what it says," Patrick explained, as he pointed to one of the pages, "Take heed that you mustn't make a Brownie angry, or it could take form into a Boggart."
They turned a page and the group were stunned by what they saw, the next pages now showed a figure, what almost looked like a rat on two feet, but didn't have any fur and had pointy ears, while he had the same types of hand-me-down clothes as the Brownie had, but instead of a happy smile, it had a angry frown on its face, showing off it's nasty teeth, and it also had a tail too.
Patrick read the words written on the pages as he started with the title, "Boggart: the Boggart is the mischievous and nasty form of a Brownie if they get angered by anyone who would offend or even ill-treat them badly. This household form is known for mischievous and dirty deeds, such as messing up rooms, stealing stuff, milk to sour, and dogs to go lame."
Hilda had a bit of a thought on what Frida mentioned about the odd place where they found the missing stuff, also that it looked like something from a doll house, and then realized something as she looked to Frida, "Frida, I think that little place in the wall where you found the stuff must have been the Brownie's home!"
"Wait, you think so?" Frida said with stunness.
"Perhaps," Chris said, "that would explain why you and your family got caught in those tricks."
"Weird to say this, but that poor Brownie must have been trying to make a home, and your dad must have wrecked it by accident." Taylor suggested.
Frida felt a little bad when hearing this, then asked, "So now we'll be having a Boggart that'll mess up our house from time to time?"
"Not to worry, there's something to help you with," Patrick said, as he pointed at something on the page as he said to Frida, "read this."
Frida did what she was told and read one segment of the page, "To calm down a Boggart and help revert it back to normal, make sure to give one of their favourite things to eat: honey."
"Do you think that would work?" Callum asked.
"It would be worth a try," Frida said, before adding, "and perhaps we could help give it a new home, since we kind of wrecked it's old one."
"We have an old birdhouse we can use," Ezran suggested, "add a few old blankets and such, and it'll be a new home for it as well."
"Good thinking, Ezran." David said with a smile, though his face turned curious as he asked, "How did the librarian know what we were looking for?"
"That's her job, isn't it?" Raph replied.
"True…" David said, a little uncertain, but agreed on it anyway.
"Say, Hilda," Taylor turned to her little sister, "do you think that the thing that helped on your homework could be a Brownie too?"
"Maybe…" Hilda thought about what she said, before looking to her older sister and said, "but it's worth a shot to see."
"But first, let's sort out giving your Brownie a new home, Frida." Hilda said to her friend, which was replied with a nod from Frida.
"You kids go on and do that," Patrick said to them, before continuing scanning around the library shelves and said, "we'll catch up after we find the right books for our spanish exam."
"Ok, Patrick," Hilda nodded, as she and the young kids started to leave, "good luck."
Patrick nodded on that, before returning to sort out his work with the others, as they had their own exams to sort out.
Owens House, a little later…
Hilda, Frida, David and Ezran returned to Frida's house, as they carried with them an old birdhouse.
The birdhouse was one that had a roof with beams holding it up and no walls, but in it, they gave it a new little bed, a few bits of fabric and had with them a small bottle of honey with some small graham crackers.
Once they went inside, they headed upstairs to Frida's bedroom, upon entering Frida looked back to her friends, who gave her a bit of support, before taking a deep breath looked around her room as she said, "Um… hello… Mr. Brownie?"
No reply at the moment.
"My name is Frida." she said, "Sorry my parents accidentally wrecked your home, but my friends and I made you a new one."
She then placed the new little home onto her desk, as she added, "And we got you some honey. We read you liked it."
Frida then squirted a bit of honey on one of the graham crackers, and placed it by the small bed, before muttering, "I hope you do…"
Soon, the kids sat on Frida's bed, looking to the new home for the Brownie, waiting to see if he was there.
A few minutes past, and there was still no sign yet.
"Do you think he'll show up?" David asked.
"I'm sure he might," Hilda replied, before thinking about something and then looked to the others, "I think you might not be the only one with Brownie, Frida."
Frida looked at Hilda, "Why do you mean?"
"Remember what I said a bit about someone who had helped me with my homework?"
"We kinda do remember that." Frida replied.
"I think, maybe, there might be a Brownie in my house as well." Hilda suggested.
"It could be possible." Ezran thought on what Hilda said, "Brownies are known for helping out with small tasks."
Hilda nodded and looked to Ezran, "Do you have a spare birdhouse?"
"I take it you want to give this Brownie a home too?"
"You bet," Hilda replied, "it would be nice to meet a new roommate as well."
"By all means," Ezran replied, "I think there's a spare one back at my house, so if you find one, you can give it to your Brownie. We'll stay here and keep watch for Frida's."
"Thanks, Ezran." Hilda smiled, as she headed off, "See you guys!"
Frida, David and Ezran waved goodbye, before continuing keeping an eye on Frida's desk for if anything happens.
Kirby House, Hilda's room…
After a small quick stop again at Callum and Ezran's house, Hilda returned to her's, her mum was busy at the moment, still doing a few sketches at the moment, as she headed on up to her room.
Upon entering, Hilda placed the birdhouse she brought with her and carefully placed it on her desk, as she thought, 'I just hope that my Brownie would be as nice as Frida's…'
She was just about to get some things for the Brownie's home, when she spotted something on her desk.
It looked like… very small pieces of paper, all stacked up.
"What's all this?" Hilda asked herself, looking at the tiny pile of paper.
"Oh, just a bit of paperwork for you to sign."
The voice that unexpectedly replied caused Hilda to get startled, as she soon looked around.
"Who said that?!" she cried.
"I did." said the voice, a male one.
"W-where are you?" Hilda asked.
"I'm right here, though I suppose you can't see me." replied the voice, "I've read your letter and I got almost everything sorted out for us to meet."
"You're the one who helped me with my homework? You almost sound like a voice inside my head, unless…" Hilda said, before asking "Are you the Brownie that's living here with my family?"
"Well, yes and no."
"What do you mean?"
"You see, yes, I'm the one that's been living with you and helped with your homework," the voice replied, "and no, I'm not a Brownie. Though we do share a common interest in organizing stuff at times."
Hilda then began looking around her room as she asked, "So what are you? And why won't you show yourself?"
"Again, like Brownies, you can see us, but only if we want you to us," the voice explained, "though for my kind of people, we take that business a bit more seriously, which of course means there's a lot of paperwork involved."
"What kind of paperwork?"
"The ones on your desk for one example." the voice stated, as Hilda returned to her desk and looked back at the papers, and each of them had her name in her handwriting on them, "I took the liberty of signing the relevant papers for you. I think you'll find the forgery quite impressive."
"Indeed." Hilda said with a bit of interest.
"Now, if you could sign the last page yourself, we'll be all set." the voice pointed out.
"Okay, but this better not be a mischievous trick." Hilda stated, as she did what she was told and signed the last bit of paper.
"Okay, now where are you?" she then asked.
"Look in the mirror."
Hilda went to her mirror, and saw only her reflection, "I don't…"
"Your ear."
Hilda looked to her ear… a little figure popped up as it waved and chirped, "Cooee!"
The little figure had a white complex, wore a red shirt (with no neck showing) with a matching red, pointy hat, and had stick-like arms and legs.
"You're very, very small." said a surprised Hilda with a smile.
"I'm sort of on the tall side for an Elf, actually." the Elf replied.
"You're an Elf?" Hilda asked.
"An Elf Sprite to be precise," the Elf sprite explained, "also commonly known as a House Elf. There are many different types of Elves, as there are different types of Trolls, Goblins and other types of creatures. My name is Alfur, by the way."
"It's nice to finally meet you, Alfur." Hilda politely greeted Alfur.
"It's nice to be seen, too." Alfur replied, jumping off Hilda from her ear to her shoulder then to her desk.
"I gotta say, it's nice to have another roommate to share my room with, besides my little sister." Hilda pointed out.
"Totally understandable," Alfur smiled, and then looked at her as he said, "and if you're Hilda, then I'm guessing that your brother would be Patrick Lee Kirby, who is the new Paladin me and my people have been hearing about."
"That's right." Hilda nodded, before asking, "What is that you House Elves/Elf Sprites do, anyway?"
"Oh, I'm sure you would know a bit of that if your brother has been given info on lore and knowledge of the different creatures and types of them there are." Alfur responded.
"Oh, we do have one." Hilda stated, "It's called 'A Brief Recapitulation of Xadador Lore' by Zavik Howling."
"You have that book?!" Alfur said with excitement, "I'm a bit of a fan of Mr. Howling's work!"
"Would you like to see it?" Hilda asked, "Maybe even explain a bit more about what other types of elves there are as you said?"
"Certainly." Alfur smiled.
Soon, Hilda went into Patrick's room with Alfur, and found the book that Blinky had given him, upon seeing the book, Alfur was amazed at this.
"And you have the first volume of 47!" Alfur sighed, "I think you and I are going to get along quite well."
Hilda opened up the book, and when asked about Elves, Alfur pointed out which page to go to, and found the index, one of the words, Elf, showed various types if one were to look for which type.
"Are all these the different types of Elves there are?" Hilda asked.
"That's right," Alfur nodded, "there are the common House Elf/Elf Sprites, like yours truly, known to live in human houses within the walls or floors, houses of our own or sometimes live in villages, usually situated in the middle of any land they chose to colonize and erect a village upon. These villages, in turn, can be part of counties. And this town of yours is smacked down right in the middle of mine."
"Could me and the others get a chance to see them?" Hilda asked.
"We'll see to that in time." Alfur stated.
"What other Elves are there? Give me an example."
"Sure thing," Alfur said, as he pointed to a word that said 'Elemental' and which page number it was on, Hilda turned to the that page, and saw these other types of Elves via the drawing images, these elves seemed to have horns, with odd markings on their faces and even some of them had four fingers instead of five, as Alfur explained, "Another type of Elves are known as the Elemental Elves."
"Elemental Elves? What are they?"
"Oh, they're special types of elves, magical ones too." Alfur stated, "They are divided into six races based on their connection to one of the Primal Sources of magic that exist in nature. Moonshadow Elves for the Moon, Sunfire Elves represent the Sun, the Earth is represented by the Earthblood Elves, Skywing Elves for the Sky, Tidebound Elves for the Ocean and Startouch Elves represent the Stars."
"That's pretty much something." Hilda smiled.
"It sure is something, alright." Alfur smiled back.
"Do you think you would like to meet my other siblings, as well as some of our friends? Mine are kinda looking for that Brownie at the moment." Hilda suggested to Alfur.
"Oh, I'd be happy to get to meet your family and other friends, Hilda," Alfur smiled, "and it would be nice to meet that Brownie of theirs as well. It would be nice to have another, eh, 'little guy' to get together with."
Meanwhile…
Back at Frida's, Frida, David and Ezran were taking a small break after waiting for a bit for the Brownie to pop up.
They had just come back up to Frida's room after heading down for a small snack, but as they approached the door, they heard what sounded like little munching sounds.
"What was that?" David asked.
"I don't know," Frida replied, as she carefully opened the door, "but stay close."
Upon entering the room, Frida led the two boys, as they decided to carefully creep down on the floor to avoid getting spotted.
Reaching the desk, they noticed several small crumbs on the floor.
Graham cracker crumbs.
That meant only one thing: the Brownie was here.
"Oh! My, my, my! That is just…" a voice got their attention, as it was accompanied by a bit of munching and muffled sighing of delight, noting them that the Brownie was no doubt eating the honey on crackers, as it was followed by complimentary enjoyment, "Mmm… tasty, tasty, delicious honey."
The kids slowly peeked up as they slowly got up, and looked at the visitor they were expecting.
The Brownie was a bit like what they saw in the library book, a small little creature, almost like a tiny person, with pointy ears, a tuft of grey hair (with a bit of a bald spot) which included sideburns with matching grey poofy eyebrows, nice little clothes like a doll (which included a white shirt, a brown pullover, a little purple bowtie, and velvet trousers), was barefoot and had little whiskers like a mouse.
"So good! So yummy, yummy, yummy!" the Brownie happily stated, enjoying every bite of the honey on crackers, and was about to take another bite, when he suddenly spotted the three as they finally stood up to look at him.
The Brownie yelped, and the kids yelped back in surprise, before the little fellow dropped the cracker, quickly turned invisible and ran as fast as it could.
"Wait, wait. It's alright, we won't hurt you." Frida said, wanting to calm the Brownie as she squirted a bit of honey on another cracker, looking around where the Brownie would be, and placed it on her draws, "Here. Have some more honey."
"I shouldn't, I shouldn't, I really shouldn't." came the Brownie's nervous voice from one of her draws, until it opened a little as the Brownie's voice politely said, "I mean, if you insist."
The kids looked as the honey-covered cracker then hovered in the air, only for bits of it to get eaten as the kids realized that it can turn invisible, as they heard the joyful voice, "Oh, my, my, my! That is good!"
"Where are you?" David asked, looking around with the others, "Why can't we see you?"
"You don't see us," the Brownie's voice said, before the creature then appeared in front of them, sitting on the draws as he added, "but now you do. But only if we want you to."
"Well, it's nice to meet you, Mr. Brownie." Ezran smiled as he waved hello, before making introductions, "I'm Ezran, and these are David and Frida."
David and Frida waved hello.
"Nice to meet the three of you, My name is Thimbletack, how do you do?" the Brownie, Thimbletack said, oddly in rhyme, as he introduced himself.
"Nice to meet you too, Thimbletack." Frida smiled, before saying, "Again, I'm sorry that my parents and I accidentally wrecked our old home, but I was wondering if you would like the new one I made here?"
Thimbletack looked to the nice little home that the kids have done for him, as David added, "And if you like, you can have as much honey if you like."
"I love that." Thimbletack smiled, "Most happy to be with friends like you."
"And we have other friends who would be happy to see you as well." Ezran pointed out.
"No, no, no!" Thimbletack stated, before saying in rhyme, "Our kind can't be around and about, We'll be in danger if word got out!"
"Isn't it odd that he speaks in rhyme sometimes?" David whispered to Frida, who nodded in agreement.
"It's alright, Thimbletack," Frida said, as she explained, "we are fully aware about keeping the mystical creatures a secret."
"Plus, one of our friend's siblings is the Paladin!" Ezran exclaimed.
"The Paladin?!" Thimbletack said with a startle, "Wonderful! How wonderful!"
"We can tell what has happened if you like." Frida suggested.
Thimbletack nodded, "Please, do tell."
"You sure, Frida?" David asked.
"I'm sure we can trust him." Frida replied, "Besides, he's quite sweet."
Thimbletack smiled at that compliment, as the kids explained what had happened.
So two new little allies had joined the party, the kids having figured out about the Brownie and the House Elf/Elf Sprite.
But what would they do about the Minxies?
Brady Oaks High, the Next Day, Spanish Class…
Spanish Class.
While he was a bit good at that language, Patrick would have difficulties to know how to say some at times.
While he knew how to count in Spanish, know some of the colors in Spanish, and even know how to say 'hello' and 'goodbye' in Spanish as well, there were most words and dialogue that he can't quite be able to fully readout at times.
Of course, he was lucky to have Luz attending the same lesson as he was (he, his siblings and friends would take part in either separate classes or in the same classes, depending on each of their timetables), especially with their teacher, Karl Uhl (who prefers to be called Señor Uhl to everyone else).
He was a large man, square-jawed and neat, with blonde hair and blue eyes. He tended to wear professional attire. While he was their Spanish teacher and can speak quite good Spanish, as well as English, he was Austrian, and can fluently speak his native German language as well.
As Luz was doing her Spanish presentation, Patrick was looking at his Spanish book that he and the rest of his class were given to read and learn as well, though Patrick looked very uncertain if he can do his Spanish presentation, and while looking at his Spanish book, he also had the book that Blinky had given him too, a little preoccupied on what the six-eyed troll will have planned to help get his amulet back from the Minxies, and what to do with them after that.
Just then, he heard a little bit of a snicker, as he turned his head and saw Biff, letting out a sinister grin, one tooth missing following when Patrick punched him, and in his hand, showed a crude image of Patrick, arms and legs broken off, and his eyes had 'x's on them, as way of saying he was dead.
"You broke my tooth…" Biff grinned wickedly with a whisper, "Now I'm going to break your life so hard, you'll wish you were dead."
He then brought his finger to his throat, and slid it to the left, giving Patrick the message that he was going to pay big time.
"...and so, while Ernesto would be remembered as being un mentiroso, un ladrón y un fraude*, Hector, Miguel's true tatara abuelo*, and the musical legacy he truly made would live on in both his songs and Miguel." Luz finished her presentation, (which helped Patrick turn his mind away from Biff) as the class let out a good clap.
"Very good work, Señora Nuceda," Señor Uhl said, after writing on the blackboard and looking at Luz, "your presentation has earned you a A- for fine work."
"Thank you, Señor Uhl." Luz smiled.
As the teacher turned away for the moment, Luz started to get something out of her bag, until Uhl, his back turned from her, suddenly said, "As long as you don't show off, shall we say, a cat with wings to represent Imelda's alebrije."
Sure enough, what Luz was about to bring out was, indeed, a cat that had wings tied to it, as she, still with a smile for passing her presentation, quietly, awkwardly and carefully put the cat back into her bag and quickly returned to her seat next to Patrick, who shook his head with a smile.
Soon, the school went off and class was dismissed, but as Patrick was nearing the door, Uhl eyed him sternly as he said, "Mister Kirby, I look forward to hearing your presentation tomorrow."
Patrick looked a little nervous upon hearing this, as he looked at his teacher and said, while exciting, "Oh… yeah, that. Don't worry, I'm looking forward to it…"
Once he was out of the classroom and far enough, he approached his sister, Hilda, who was talking to Luz about her presentation.
"Good work back there, Luz," Patrick congratulated her with a smile, "you always do a great job on these Spanish lessons. You more than me."
"Oh, don't feel bad on yourself," Luz comforted him, "besides, you've got plenty of time to sort out your presentation, I know you'll do great!"
"She's quite right there, you know."
Patrick and Luz were a little stunned on hearing that, as they looked around, then looked to where Hilda was, her locker opened at the moment as she was getting a few things herself.
"Oh, don't worry, that was Alfur." Hilda smiled.
"Alfur?" Patrick raised an eyebrow, "The House Elf that you told me and Taylor about when we got back home?"
"The one and only!" Alfur smiled.
When Patrick and Taylor returned from the library, they learned a lot about Hilda's new roommate, as well as got a chance to know him too, although…
"Alfur, I can't believe that you're here at the school." Patrick said, looking into the inside of Hilda's locker.
"Uh, Patrick," Hilda pointed out, "Alfur's on my shoulder."
Patrick looked to his sister, and Alfur gave a small wave.
Patrick and Taylor were a bit busy this morning getting ready for high school, that they didn't get time to sign the paperwork to see Alfur yet.
"You really should sign those forms, Patrick." Hilda stated.
"I'll be sure to do that before later," Patrick sighed, then looked to Luz, "by the way, Luz, how did things go with the delivery work yesterday?"
"Oh, it went alright," Luz replied, "weird, but alright."
"At least your day went better than mine did yesterday." Patrick admitted to her.
"Is it about your amulet?" Luz asked, which caused Patrick to look at her as she added, "It's alright, Hilda filled me in on what happened."
"I still can't believe that you got your amulet stolen, either," Alfur said, shaking his head a little, "what will you be able to do?"
"I'm not sure," Patrick replied, a little annoyed about his 'official' first task going to a rough start, "I don't even know what Blinky has got planned, but there must be some way to get it back from those little pests…"
"Little pests?"
Patrick, Hilda and Luz were startled as they heard another voice, and turned fast to see Mr. Sturges, a small smile on his face while having a nice coffee, while looking at them curiously, while Alfur quickly hid in Hilda's hair.
"Oh, hi, Mr. Sturges." Patrick quickly responded, upon seeing his teacher, letting out a nervous grin.
"Hello there, Patrick," Mr. Struges smiled, before saying, "forgive me, but I overheard a little about some pests?"
"Oh, that's right…" Patrick said, having a think, and then remembered that the Minxies reminded him and his sisters of-
"Mice!" he stated, quickly looking at the two girls, "That's what we were talking about, right?"
"Oh, right, yes." Hilda nodded, as did Luz.
"Mice?"
"That's right," Patrick fibbed a little, "those annoying little tykes having taken something from me and Hilda, a… lucky bracelet that we made long while back."
"Okay…" Mr. Sturges said, who secretly knew Patrick was covering up something, if he was referring to maybe a mystical item… or even, perhaps, his amulet, then the mice he was referring to would be minxies.
Patrick then sighed as he said, "They've been quite an annoying nuisance, I have no idea what to do, and if I did catch them, I don't know if I should dispose of them or something… I mean, they're quite cute… I suppose…"
Mr. Sturges looked at his star pupil, then smiled as he said, "Patrick, allow me to share some wisdom from a wise man called Sun Tzu, 'Know your enemy and know yourself and you can fight a hundred battles without disaster.'"
Patrick, Hilda and Luz looked at each other at that, then back to Sturges, who still smiled, as he pat Patrick on the shoulder and started to leave as he said, "I'm sure you'll figure it out, Young Atlas."
"What do you think that was about?" Luz asked, as the teacher left.
"I'm not sure, though I hope that this bit of info could help out with my school stuff as well," Patrick said, as he then joked a little, "I feel like I have a few enemies here myself."
"Like Biff?" Hilda asked.
"Probably… yeah…"
"Who's Biff?" Alfur asked.
"Our school bully," Hilda explained, "he may look like a star sportsman for the school's team, the Mighty Moles, but he is just the worst."
"Maybe, perhaps if he were to sign some restraint paperwork, then hopefully he might leave you alone." Alfur suggested.
"Yeah, I doubt that Biff would accept that type of work, Alfur." Hilda sweatdropped.
While Hilda spoke to Alfur, Patrick soon spotted Victoria, getting some of her books from her locker nearby, then he turned to the others as he replied, "Um, excuse me for a second, will you?"
The girls and Alfur looked as they saw Patrick head towards Victoria, the latter then asking, "Who's he heading to?"
"Victoria," Hilda replied, "it's someone Patrick has known for a while."
"Is she a friend?"
"Let's just say that she's someone that he really, really likes." Hilda smirked as she said that.
"So he's an admirer to her?" Alfur asked.
"In a way… more or less."
They then looked to Patrick and walked by and observed what was happening, as Patrick approached Victoria.
As Patrick approached her, he was having thoughts on what was happening with her, as while he'd been helping out a bit on the play, she hadn't spoken to him for a while since the encounter and fight with Biff.
He still felt a little worried if she was upset, as when he came up to her, she seemed to have an uncomfortable look on her face.
"Hey, Vicky." Patrick waved hello, which got Victoria's attention.
"Oh… hi, Patrick." Victoria replied, in a seemingly awkward and uncomfortable way, as she continued getting what she needed, "What's up?"
"Well, I've been getting ready for my big Spanish presentation tomorrow," Patrick explained, as he added in Spanish with a nervous chuckle, "muy importante.*"
"Yeah…" Victoria said, a little impressed, but still a little uncomfortable, as she then said, closing her locker, "While you were doing that, I was looking for my scene partner at today's rehearsal…"
As she started to leave, Patrick realized what she meant, "Oh crud… the play!"
Hilda and Luz (and Alfur) were little worried when they heard that, as they (and Patrick) realized that the Paladin had just missed a theatre practice today, all due to focusing on the Spanish lesson (as well as dealing with a certain little problem), as they then watched Patrick follow Victoria.
"I am so sorry, Victoria," he said, "I didn't mean to miss today's rehearsal. I know how much this play means to you."
"I know, I even have my family coming to see it, and I don't want to be made like a fool." Victoria stated, as she saw how worried and concerned Patrick looked, "I just want you to be by my side for even, even if you have a lot going on."
"I know, Vicky," Patrick nodded, "I'll try and be at the rehearsal as I can after the Spanish Presentation tomorrow."
"Okay…" Victoria simply said, as she started to walk by him.
Patrick looked at her, then finally spoke up, "Is it also about what happened with Biff, isn't it?"
Vicky stopped in her tracks and looked at him, seeing himself feeling a little sorry and ashamed.
"I'm really sorry about what happened back there, even after you said that there are better ways to finish a fight than punching someone in the face." Patrick confessed, rubbing his arm, "It's just… Biff's a really big jerk, and I was really upset on how he treated everyone else, even my friends… or my sisters… or you. It was just that I thought about doing what was right in standing up to him… and I'm really sorry if you didn't like the result…"
Victoria looked at Patrick for a moment, then looked away, before finally looking at him as she said, "I did say that there were other ways to finish a fight than hitting someone…"
Patrick looked down solemnly at that… until she said, "Though I suppose Biff can be an exception."
He then looked up and saw Vicky with a small half smile as she said that.
"Besides… I never fully thanked you for sticking up for me there." Victoria admitted, stroking her hair.
Patrick scratched the back of his head hearing that, "Oh… it was nothing…"
Hilda and Luz smiled hearing this as they followed Patrick and Victoria as they continued walking and talking, as they heard Victoria add, "I mean, I just can't stand having Biff flirt like that, I mean who's he supposed to be? Magic Mike?"
Patrick chuckled at that with her, "I kinda see him as Gaston."
"Yeah, he's a pretty big jerk." Victoria smiled.
"More like a gran idiota!*" Patrick stated, earning a sweet chuckle between them, as Hilda and Luz (and Alfur) smiled seeing that things were starting to go a bit well for those two.
However, as they continued walking, unaware of either of them… someone had overheard the conversation, especially about the play.
Around a corner, 3-D was listening in to Patrick and Victoria's conversation, and upon hearing about the play, as well as their thoughts on Biff, the 3-D glasses wearing bully brought his finger to his chin with interest, as he thought of an idea for Biff.
"Yo, 3-D!" speak of the devil, as Biff then came up to him, "What you been up to?"
3-D then turned to Biff as he smiled, "Biff, buddy, have I got a treat for you… concerning ol' Kirby and Miss Belle."
Biff was stunned hearing this… until his mouth changed to a wicked grin, knowing that 3-D was his best right hand man at times.
"I'm all ears…" Biff grinned, as he then thought to himself, 'Time to put Kirby in his place…'
