I finally watched The Super Mario Bros. Movie yesterday and I absolutely LOVED it! I'm in Mario fever, so much so that I got a story idea involving beloved younger brother Luigi.

NOËLLE:
PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION: Curly shoulder-length black hair, green eyes, round face, rosy cheeks, pink lips, slender, as tall as Luigi.
PERSONALITY: Compassionate, feisty, smart, caring, strong-willed, quick thinking.

Noëlle sat by the window at her favourite pizzeria drinking her chocolate milkshake while in deep thought and listening to music. It is the second anniversary of her father's passing and she still missed him a lot. His final wish for her when she was 23, was that she must live her life to the fullest in her own terms and not be afraid about what life has to offer.

She put her headphones around her neck and began making notes about her night shift when she heard an argument. She looked up and saw two guys who looked like twins fighting against a guy with sunglasses and was bigger than them. Something about the twins looked very familiar to her. When she heard the name Mario, it suddenly clicked. She went to school with them when they were in their preteens. She remembered liking them, even though they didn't hang out a lot.

She was shocked when the bigger guy grabbed Mario by the shirt and left the restaurant after dropping him.

"Are you insane?" Luigi said to his brother. "He's three times your size."

"Luigi, come on," Mario said. "You can't be scared all the time."

He smiled. "You'd be surprised."

"He's right, you know," Noëlle said, which made them turn around in surprise. "Are you guys okay?"

"Yeah, we are," Luigi said.

"Sorry, miss. Who are you?" asked Mario.

"Mario bros, don't you remember me?" she grinned.

They shook their heads.

"Noëlle."

"Noëlle...?" Mario said.

"We all went on a school trip to the Statue of Liberty and I had a blue shirt that showed a dino on it-"

"Carson? Noëlle Carson?" Luigi said.

"Yeah," she chuckled.

"Oh wow, look at you," Mario said.

"And look at you, guys. All mustached up," she said.

With a swipe of their fingers, the brothers proudly brushed their mustaches together which made her laugh. A phone abruptly rang. Luigi picked it up from the floor where it was accidentally dropped during their confrontation with Spike.

"Hello. Super Mario Brothers," Luigi answered it. Mario and Noëlle listened closely. "Uh-huh. A drip on your faucet! That's great! I mean, it's great that you called us because we can be there and we can fix it right away," Luigi ended the call and grinned excitedly. "Mario, we got one! The Super Mario Brothers are in business!" They hugged each other enthusiastically.

"Congrats, guys!" Noëlle put a hand on each of their shoulders.

"Sorry, Noëlle, we gotta run," Luigi said.

"Don't worry, see you guys around," she smiled.

"Ciao," Mario said as he and his brother sprinted out to their work van.

Noëlle was happy to see her old classmates again and be in her usual good self at that moment, temporarily forgetting about what made her sad earlier.
