The red hooded creatures led the travelers out of the balloon and into the castle. They all walked while passing through many rock structures. Finally, they arrived close to a throne at the top of some stairs where there was a figure sitting on it.

"We found them in the Dark Lands," the black mask creature said to the figure. The figure growled in response. Luigi whimpered at the sight of the throne-sitting creature. Noëlle wanted to comfort him but couldn't do anything due to her bound hands. She stood in shock at this creature.

"Bring the man to me," the figure said, coming down. At this point, the humans don't know that this creature's name is Bowser and that he is the king of the Koopas.

A little lizard in a blue hood, known as Kamek, suddenly appeared and used a scepter to bring Luigi close to the now visible Bowser.

"What is your name?"

"Uh, Luigi," the youngest brother frightfully replied to Bowser who spun him around to get a look at the human.

"Not sure if you know who I am," Bowser said. "But I'm about to marry a princess and rule the world."

"Wow, uh...yay," Luigi chuckled nervously, the creature's claws going at the tip of his chin.

"But there's one problem, Luigi. There's a human traveling with my fiancée. Has a mustache just like you," Bowser began playing with Luigi's mustache. "Do you know him?"

"No...no," Luigi responded, trying to lie. His instinct told him this creature was bad news and wanted to hurt his brother. So, he thought if he lied about knowing him, it might help Mario.

"Oh, tough one I see," Bowser said, looking impressed. "Maybe this will get you to talk," he held a hair from Luigi's mustache, causing the human to yelp.

"Do you think I know every human being with a mustache wearing an identical outfit with a hat with the letter of his first name on it? Because I don't," Luigi said, his mustache hair getting pulled every second during his speech.

"Leave him alone, you big meanie!" Noëlle said, trying to get free from the ropes but the red hooded creatures held her tightly. "You're hurting him!"

"Ah, who's this tough human?" Bowser stopped his torture to look at Noëlle. "Is she your girlfriend?"

"No!" The humans said together.

"Interesting," he said. "You guys look good together. Now, where was I? Oh, yes," he turned back to Luigi. "Getting you to talk," he pulled out a tiny hair from Luigi's mustache before grabbing the one side completely, ready to pull it harder. "DO YOU KNOW HIM?"

"Stop, stop, stop!" Luigi shouted while in agony. "Yes, I know him! Yeah, he's my brother Mario and he's the best guy in the world!"

"DO PRINCESSES FIND HIM ATTRACTIVE?!"

Noëlle felt even more helpless just watching Luigi getting tortured by this creature.

"THEY DO IF THEY HAVE GOOD TASTE!" Luigi cried.

This made Bowser pull another hair from his mustache, causing Luigi to scream in pain. The creature threw Luigi down to the floor. "Get them out of my sight!"

"Luigi!" Noëlle shouted. She hated to see him like this. He looked at her while getting up weakly.

"We'll see how tough this Mario is when he watches me KILL HIS BROTHER!"

"YOU MONSTER!" She said, now enraged. "YOU HURT THEM AND I'LL PUNCH YOU SO HARD, YOU'LL BE SORRY YOU MESSED WITH US!"

Both Luigi and the rest of the creatures were astonished by this sudden fury coming from her.

"I like your spirit," Bowser said to her. "Now TAKE THEM TO THE DUNGEONS!"

The red hooded creatures obeyed and led the humans to their imprisonment. Luigi was tied again and was behind Noëlle. She glanced at him again with a worried expression before she had to look where they were going.

"Thanks," he said to her.

"For what?" She turned to him.

"Trying to help me back there."

"You're welcome," she said to him.
