Author note I'm sorry for wait I was a bit busy but on the bright side this chapter is a long one so I hope it was worth the wait
The newt and the wolf chapter 6 sleepover and a meeting with the king
Blake narration
I am so excited after going through that library with a fine-tooth comb we find a way home. Now I'm going to be a part of a sleepover you know what they said work hard play hard.
Normal POV
We open up on our couple in Marcy bedroom wearing pajamas with Blake sitting on the bed while Marcy is watering her plants when.
Knock, knock, knock
(Author Note I'm only describing Blake's outfits because the others are going to be the same as in canon and this saves time)
"I'll get it." Blake said wearing a gray T-shirt with the word wolf on it and gray shorts as PJs getting up and opening the door revealed it to be Lady Oliva
"Good evening, Master Marcy, and Sir Blake Anne Boonchuy and planters have arrived for your-. "Oliva said being interrupted by
"Sleepover." Anne, Sprig and Polly screaming in unison as they ran into the room and were jumping around like crazy
"Sign sleepover if anyone need me, I'll in the kitchen drinking juice." Oliva said as she left the room
"This is going." Anne started
"Awesome." Marcy finish
"I know right." Blake said
"It's the perfect way to spend the night before we hear for the king." Sprig said
"I wonder what he learned about the music box?" Anne asked
"We don't want to give anything away." Marcy began
"But it going to be pretty cool." Blake finish
"Ok kid I'll be back in morning for our meeting with the king." Hop pop said. "I off to spend a little much needed me time and by me time I mean a full body."
Before he could finish Sprig and Polly slam the door in his face
"Me and sprig's first sleepover." Polly cheer
"Better make it a good one." Sprig said before switching to a demon voice. "These we be formative." Memories."
"Woah, I realized we're never done a sleepover without Sasha before." Anne said
"You're right you think we can pull it off Sasha the sleepover queen not us." Marcy said
"Who said there only be one queen?" Anne asked
"Everyone that's sorts of how the system work." Marcy said
"Come on girls you've been to tons of sleepovers before you don't need Sasha to have fun." Blake said
"Yeah, your right." Anne said
"Pajamas, junk food and gossip galore pillow fight movies and tearing up the dance floor and listen up cause this I won't repeat never ever go to sleep." Anne and Marcy said together before laughing
"Sensing some missing context here." Sprig said
"Oh, sorry Sasha always said falling asleep early mean total failure a true goes till sunrise." Marcy said
"Already enough set up get our sleepover on baby." Anne said making everyone cheer
They started with mattress surfing down the stairs with Blake using his vine to steer and avoiding crashing into a suit of armor. Next, they went into king Andrias's closest trying on his clothes Marcy trying on an oversize cloak, Blake was wearing an oversize scarf as a toga, Sprig was playing with a spare crown, Anne was using a sock the size of a sleeping bag like she was in a sack race, and Polly was somehow wearing the king's armor. They then pull a prank on lady Olivia by surprising her with silly string which unforcedly for them the last straw for her
"Oh, for frog's sake." Olivia said before she kicked Anne, karate chop Sprig, uppercut Marcy and Polly and try to roundhouse kick Blake only for him to block it with his arm cause him to wince on pain
"Ow nice kick." Blake said while healing his arm
"Nice block and while I'm glad kids are having fun let me remind you that some of the castle rooms are off limit namely the basement." Olivia said
"Good to know and now than back to the sleepover fun right after I done healing anyone." Blake said as looked over to his friends before cracking his knuckles
They then had a pillow fight then went to the kitchen to grab some sweats and finally Blake wanted to show off his strength by holding up Anne and Marcy like an upside-down cheerleader pyramid while they were holding up Polly with Sprig off to the side taking some pictures of it on Anne's phone before returning to Marcy's room to catch, they're breathe
"Told you girls you don't need Sasha to have fun." Blake said
"Yeah, what time is it anyway 5:00 am 6:00 am?" Anne asked so Marcy check her phone to see
"Only 9:00 pm." Marcy said
"What." Blake yell
"That early." Sprig said sounding tried
"But I'm so tired." Polly said weakly
"No stay awakes." Anne said as shock the frogs awake
"Anne, I think it's time." Marcy said
"Really you think their ready." Anne said in a worry tone
"Is anyone really ready." Marcy said
"Ready for what." Sprig and Polly said together
"The scare dare challenge oooh." Anne and Marcy said together while Anne's phone like a flashlight and trying to be scary
"Ah the infamous scare dares I was wondering when we were going to do that." Blake said while rubbing his hands together in excitement
"The rules one of us come up with a scary dare and we all have to do it." Marcy said
"But whoever bails first gets their name added to" Anne started while pulling out a notebook
"The book of losers." Marcy finish
"Yeah, and once your name is in the it be there forever." Anne said
"Forever." Marcy said in a scary voice
"Well, I'm sold." Polly said
"Let's do this." Sprig said
"You even have to ask." Blake said
"Now all we need is a scary dare." Anne said
While our gang were trying to think of a scare dare Blake was looking though the book of loser for an idea when something caught his eye
"Hey girls how come this scare dare is cross out?" Blake asked pointing at it making Marcy pale a little
"Oh, um that one we couldn't finish without getting caught so we counted it as null and void." Marcy explains
"What was it?" Blake asked
"Umm." Anne and Marcy said together
"Girls what was it?" Blake said in a harsh tone causing the girls to cringe
"To sneak onto your family's farm and play a game of ding dang ditch." Anne said
"But we never even made it that far because what we thought was one of your family dogs, but now I think it could have been a member of your family in wolf form saw us howled and we ran off." Marcy said
"And right into a skunk that spray us." Anne said
"Oh, so you're the ones who snowflake saw and scared Steve." Blake said before laughing. "That also explain why you girls reek of tomato for a few days."
"You're not mad." Marcy said sounding a little surprise
"I mean was a harmless prank it's not like you girls were going to spray paint my house or anything." Blake said
"Who Snowflake and Steve?" Polly asked
"Snowflake is one of family's pet dog who is getting a bit old, so her eyes and nose don't work as well as they used to and Steve is a skunk that lives near my house, who we been trying to get him to make him leave but he just too stubborn to listen." Blake said
"Wait why was that even a scare dare you know him?" Spring asked
"Please tell me it wasn't because of that rumor Maggie started about my family using witchcraft." Blake said
"Um." The girls said causing him to facepalm
"That girl is nothing but a headache sometimes." Blake said
"In our defense she wasn't totally wrong." Marcy said
"Not the point you trusted her word over mine." Blake said before taking a deep breath and calming down. "Ok let's drop this and get back to figuring out our scare dare."
And after a few more minutes
"I got nothing." Sprig said
"I don't remember is being so difficult." Anne said
"That because Sasha always came with the best scare dare." Marcy said
"Come on gang there must be something for us to work with." Blake said
Anne got up and looked at a map of the castle
"What about the basement ow papercut?" Anne asked as she cut her finger on the paper
"I don't know Anne that place is probably off-limits for a reason this may not be a smart idea." Marcy said sounding a little worried
"Come on Marc it's what Sasha would do." Anne said
"That true I hereby accept this scare dare challenge." Marcy said
"We also accept this scare dare challenge." Sprig, Polly, and Blake said together
"It is done is scare dare challenge is now." Anne said
"Official." They all said unison in scary voices.
As our group made their way the basement, they had to sneak past lady Olivia who fell asleep in a chair while reading a romance novel. As they went down the stair to the cellar with a trapdoor that led to the basement upon opening it kick up a lot of dust and relieving an almost pitch-dark stairwell
"So, want to go down first?" Sprig asked
"I vote Anne." Polly said
"What why?" Anne asked
"Sign I'll go first it better to follow the guy with night vision in the dark anyway." Blake said as his descended down the stairs and lighting his hand up like a torch while the girls use their phones as flashlights following close behind
"Woah." Marcy said as she slips and started to fall down the stair
"Marcy." Anne called out to her luckily Blake was able to catch her unfortunately the force causes him to be became off balance and
"Oh no." Blake said before both of them fell down the stairs together
"Guys." Anne said as the two soon crash at the bottom
"Ow." They said before they saw that she had landed on top of him causing both of them to blush a deep red
"Are you guys, ok?" Anne asked just as Marcy was rolling off Blake
"I'm fine thankfully." Blake said while rubbing his head
"Ow I think I twisted my ankle. Marcy said wincing in pain
"Here let me see it." Blake said as he put a glowing hand on her ankle
"Wow it feels good as new." Marcy said
As the two got up the group saw they we're in a hallway full of mirrors
"That a lot of mirrors." Anne said
"Guys maybe we should turn back one of us already got hurt and my gut is telling shouldn't push our luck." Blake said
"And have our names added to the book of loser no way." Sprig said as the group made their way through the hallway of mirror
"I read that in some cultures believe that mirrors are use trap evil spirits or summon them." Marcy said before doing an evil laugh in a mirror
"Not helping babe and does everyone else get the feeling we're being watched" Blake said unknown to them an orange eye was watching them from afar before closing
As they made it to the end of the hall, they found a brooded-up door with strange writing on it
"Uh Marcy what does this say?" Anne asked
"My command of Newtopian linguistics is limited but what it says should be fairly obvious." Marcy said
"Keep out. "They all said together
"So, anyone want to turn back now." Anne said
"I'm not putting my name in the book of Loser." Polly shouted
"I guess we can go a bit further then." Anne said sound unsured
"Living our best life's." Marcy said
After removing the broods, they were able to open the door to reveal a flooding crypt with floating coffins
"Guys we shouldn't be here." Marcy said
"Yeah, this feels all sorts of wrong." Blake said
"Guys I'm calling it the challenge is over let's get out of here." Anne said
"Sound like someone who scared." Sprig said trying to sound smug
"We're not scared this just feels wrong." Blake said
"Ok prove it take a selfie by that coffin." Sprig said
"Dude shows some respect for the dead." Blake said
"Would this be something Sasha would do?" Anne asked
"Oh yeah." Marcy said
"Sign ok fine but afterword we're leaving." Blake said as the trio made their way to the coffin and took and the selfie
"Nailed it wait photo looks kind of jank." Anne said looking at her phone to see she had a red eye in her selfie only for the red eye to turned into a small glowing jellyfish with an eye
To make matters worse many other larger versions it of various shapes and sizes to come out of the water and the walls
"What are these things." Anne said fricking out
"Hey, they their kind of cute." Sprig said about to pock one
"Sprig don't touch it." Marcy said
"Look." Anne said pointing to one that had a frog skeleton that quickly got dissolve
"They're going to eat our bones." Polly scream
"Forget this we're loser we lose." Sprig said as he and Polly ran away screaming
"I don't get it what are they aliens, ghost?" Anne asked
"Does it matter?" Marcy asked
"They can be both for all care lets get out of here." Blake said but they try to leave a creature was blocking their way out
"Guys this way." Sprig said
"We found another exit." Polly said pointing to another exit
They made their way out of the crypt and were running as fast as they could only to stop when they found another hallway full of mirrors
"Man, someone really love mirrors." Anne said before they continue to run away from creatures and soon found themselves in an underground garden which led to Marcy stopping in her tracks
"What the, a garden but how are these plants growing so well without sunlight?" Marcy asked
"Sorry babe but no time." Blake said grabbing her hand and pulling her away
As they their way out the garden ran through an almost empty hallway the only thing in it was a discarded torn painting that only Sprig pay any minded to.
"Someone really hated this painting." Sprig said holding a tear in a ripped painting it had four figures a younger Andrias, a female pink frog, a male green horned toad, and something covered in yellow fur.
"Hurry up." Polly said pushing him forward
They then found a stairwell went up it to find the bottom of another trap door which they open to find
"My room." Marcy said
"Don't question it." Sprig said as they closed the trapdoor
"At least that over with." Said only for the creatures to phase through the trapdoor
"Eat this you oversize gummy worm. Anne said while throwing a book at it only for it to pass though it like a ghost
"Alright try this on for size." Blake said using his vine like a lion tamer whip which looks like it can hurt them
"Your vine can hurt them but how?" Marcy asked
"Don't know and right now don't care." Blake said while trying his best to hold them off
While that was going on Sprig was trying and failing to find something to def himself with until he picked up a mirror that reflected one of the creature's own light and for some reason it turned it solid
"It physical but how?" Marcy asked as she hit it with a pillow."
"The mirror." Anne and Marcy said in
"Both of the hallways were fill with mirrors." Anne said
"And it looks like if something reflects their own light back that them, they turn solid." Blake said
"Everyone grab a mirror." Anne said tossing everyone a mirror
After catching the mirrors, they started turning the creatures solid one by one and forcing them back into the trapdoor
"Hey, was anyone going tell me I had leaves in my hair." Anne said when she saw leaves in her hair
"I thought you were trying a new look beside I was covered in moss when I found you guys." Blake said while turning another one soild
"Not now Anne." Sprig and Polly yelled
"Right." Anne said while another one solid
As the last one was turned solid and forced back into the trapdoor, they then put a large mirror and a chair over the trapdoor
"So does anyone think they're going to sleep after terrifying experience." Marcy said
"No way." Anne, Sprig and Polly said together
"Sign come here." Blake said taking Marcy's hand and bring them onto the bed before closing his eyes and his wolf came out and resting his head on her lap
"Aw Blake do you want to cuddle to make me feel better." Marcy said getting a nod from the wolf before hugging him like a teddy bear
"I need to hug something cute and fluffy right now to." Anne said joining the hug
"Us to." Sprig and Polly said together joining in as well
"Sign the things I do for love." Blake said accepting his fate for the night
Hours later sunrise
"We did it." Sprig said
"We stayed up all night." Polly said
"I still have so many questions. Marcy said. "Like what were those things? What the deal with the basement? And if those were ghosts is there an afterlife."
"I didn't even think of that." Anne said before she and Marcy turn to Blake who had return to his human body
"Hey, don't look at me I'm just as lost as you guys are." Blake said with his hands up
Meanwhile sprig grab the book of loser and opening it
"I wish I didn't have to put my name in the book of loser." Sprig said writing his name in the book
"Me too." Polly said doing the same
"Move over dude I was scared out of my mind." Anne said taking pen and writing her own name
"It wouldn't be first time." Marcy said after writing her own name in she flipped the page to show that she and Anne had failed the scare dare challenge multiple time
"Your girls names are in here a bunch of times." Sprig said
"The only person brave, enough to not get in the book was Sasha." Marcy said
"We need to find her guys and make things right." Anne said while Blake took the book
"Don't worry Anne I'm sure we will." Blake said after writing his name in the book
Just then lady Oliva burst into the room with a mustache draw on her face looking very annoyed
"Rise and shine kids because of you I barely slept a wink last night well whatever it's go time your audience with king Andrias is about begin GET READY." Oliva said before slamming the door
"Come on sprig let give the girls some privacy." Blake said taking the frog boy to his room
A few minutes later
After meeting up with Hop pop our group enter the throne room and were greeted by King Andrias
"Wonderful to see you all again." Andrias said "So, ask me if I found anything about the box."
"Did you?" Anne asked
"Bingo." Andrias said loudly and in their faces causing them to fall
While they were picking themselves up Andrias pulled out and showed them the giant book from before opening to the page with the music box with four gem each a different color and symbol underneath them the green gem symbol was a brain, the blue gem symbol was a heart, the yellow gem symbol was a claw mark, and pink gem symbol was a fist
"It's the music box." Sprig said
"According to this book it's a magical artifact thousands of years old apparently my ancestors used it to visit entirely different worlds they were peaceful explorers' scientist if you. These four stone are key they need to be recharged." Andrias said
"Recharged how?" Anne asked
"The book mention four temples each channeling a different kind of energy and once stones are recharged." Andrias said
"We'll have a way home." Anne said
"Steal my thunder why don't you but yes." Andrias said with a deadpan
"I don't believe it a real chance to get back home." Anne said
"Let get out conquer these bad boys." Marcy said
"Woah let's rein those snails in for a second the book only the location of one temple. Besides you still have a lot of preparing to do before you set off." Andrias explain
"Good point gotta get equipped for a mega quest like this, armors to pay, maps to study, weapons to forge this is going to take a few days." Marcy said
"A few days I hate to say it, but we really got to get back to Wartwood the harvest is coming up and we can't miss it." Hop pop said
"Okay guys me and the planters will head back to Wartwood and when you're ready come pick us up." Anne said
"Whoa, whoa, whoa it doesn't really make sense for you to go back to Wartwood." Marcy said causing them to gasp. "The last thing we should do is separate now that we're so close to finding our way home."
"I guess that true but um I um we need to go to Wartwood to get the music box right H.P." Anne said
"Technically yes." Hop pop said
"Nonsense once hop pop gets the box back, we'll just send a servant to pick it up more efficient that way." Marcy said
"Yeah but." Anne said before Blake grab Marcy by her hood and pulled to the side
"What the heck Blake." Marcy said
"Marcy read the room Anne clearly want to go back to Wartwood besides she made other friends there and it would be rude not to said goodbye to them so let's let them get it out of their systems plus maybe they can find Sasha on the way." Blake said
"Maybe this is more efficient." Marcy said
"We've been here for months what a few extra days and besides we can't even leave without Sasha anyway." Blake said
"Ok good point but I still think we shouldn't separate." Marcy said
"Ok how about this you let Anne go and I'll be your model for you to draw in any fantasy clothes you want within reason tonight deal." Blake said cause her to blush a deep red while he held out his hand
"Deal." Marcy said shaking his hand and the two return to the group
"Ok guys we decided that Anne can go with you back to Wartwood and we'll pick you guys up when we're ready for the first temple." Blake said causing them to cheer
An hour later
"Thanks for being so understanding guys." Anne said as she and Planters packed the last of their stuff onto the fwagon
"Hey what friends for." Blake said
"Have a safe trip." Marcy said as Anne got on top of the fwagon
"Bye guys see you later." Anne said as they rode off leaving Marcy with a sad look on her face
"Come on Marcy cheer up Anne not going to be gone for long and besides." Blake said putting his arm around her. "This gives us some more alone time."
"I Hope I'm not interrupting anything I'm I." Andrias said from behind surprising the two and making Blake jump back
"I WASN'T DOING ANYTHING SMOKE BOMB." Blake yelled throwing down a smoke bomb to make a quick escape
End of chapter 6

I'm really surprise that almost no one is asking me any question about this story in reviews I thought someone would have asked something like if Blake's family hate the church, then why does he go to a catholic school? Don't be afraid to ask question as I'm more than willing answer so long as it isn't rude or too inappropriate like asking for a lemon. Just leave it in a review or PM me
I'm also open to the idea of making omakes based on your suggestions if you follow the rules I give

Rule 2 you need be clear on what you want otherwise I may misunderstand on what you're trying to say the more details the more I have work with

Now to the review
MasonGrovesrocks- Great Chapter! I really like how Marcy reacted to Blake's wolf form differently compared to everyone else. It really shows how mature Marcy, Anne and possibly Sasha are than the people who had feared and hated wolfwalkers in the past. Also, I really admire how the chapter goes deeper into Marcy and Blake's relationship. It builds up Blake's charming personality around a girl like Marcy (especially when they played flipwart and she beat him a couple times). I'm just surprised how the Newts (Especially Olivia) were generous enough to help Blake out with the surprise. As far as I'm concerned Olivia is kinda a romantic type of newt.
I also find it cute with their dance at the ballroom. It kinda reminds me of beauty and the beast and I find that really adorable. Their first dance at winter ball is quite a reasonable explanation on when they started to go out on dates. And I like how the time Marcy spent with Blake inspired her to raise questions about the choice that she had made. It's like the more time she spend with her friends and Blake, the more her doubts about her choice becomes clear.
Also, I understand the situation that they are in, such as finding a way home being their top priority. I was just curious about their first kiss they had even before coming to Amphibia.
(I may have a little suggestion if you don't mind; Since Anne, Sasha and Marcy have been friends for a very long time, maybe Anne and Sasha could have a major role on how Marcy met Blake to begin with; either on a flashback or a few hints as the story progresses, up to you; Again, only a suggestion if you don't mind.)
Response- In order, Thank you for your support. The reasons why Marcy reacted that way to Blake wolf form was because 1 Blake told her about it beforehand 2 its basically just a big dog and 3 after everything, she been though in Amphibia why would she scare of him same goes for Anne and Sasha. That kind of what I was going for. Yes, Olivia is a romantic also fun fact during the sleepover when they sneak past her to get to the basement you can see that she fell asleep reading a book called in the heat of the swamp. Wow beauty and beast now I can see the similarities but that was unintentional. Again, that kind of what in was going for. That actually spark an idea I call operation Wu the Wolf like I said last chapter I'm open to suggestions, but I make no promises
Guest- Great Chapter! Nice to see Blake spending a little quality time for Marcy. Can't wait for the sleepover part. Wouldn't that be interesting? Also, love how the chemistry between the two played out. Kinda goes further on the romance gig between the two.
