I first want to say sorry for this chapter being on the shorter size, but I couldn't think of must else to write plus this was just to add to the lore and be a break between temples also if you're wondering why this took so long, I was taking my time with this because I wanted to enjoy my summer.
The newt and the wolf chapter 14
The story of Elizabeth
Normal POV
We opened in the fwagon with our three friends having a meeting about what happened yesterday at the temple while the Planters were in the field doing some farm work since the frogs would have no idea what they would be talking about.
"Sign first let me say that my family did somethings that we're not proud of because of this." Blake said.
"Come on man how bad could this breakup be?" Marcy asked.
"It's best we start at the beginning not the end." Blake said.
"Which was?" Anne asked.
"Almost four hundred years ago in a town called Gravefield now while my family were still great at farming back then, they had to keep it lowkey." Blake said.
"Why?" they girls asked to together.
"Because the town was run by witch hunters." Blake said which stock the girls.
"And they choose to stay there!" Marcy said.
"Well, they didn't really have a lot of options back then mind you." Blake said.
"Sorry continued." Marcy said.
"Right one day a young Elizabeth Wolf found out some of their crops were being stole by two boy name Philip and Caleb." Blake said.
Gravefield in 1600s
"What do you boys think you're doing?" Mr. Wolf asked angrily at the two kids they caught stealing.
"We're sorry sir we were hungry the church we're staying at doesn't give us much food." Caleb said.
"Sign look I can understand you boys were hungry, but you can't steal our crops there meant to help feed the whole town." Mr. Wolf said.
"But we want to grow up big and strong so can hunt those witches." Philip said.
"I doubt this town would let thieves because hunters." Miss Wolf said.
"What would know you're just a woman." Philip said angrily earning a growl for said woman. Authors note I hated to writing that I think you should treat people the way you want to be treated it shouldn't matter what race, gender or whatever else you are.
"Philip please be quiet before you get us into even more trouble." Caleb said.
"Mother, Father why don't we have them work in fields to each want they took." Elizabeth said.
"That is a fine idea teach them how to make an honest living." Mr. Wolf said.
Back in the present.
"After some time, the brothers pay their debt, and everything went back to normal until a few years later when this lady who a lot of people though was a witch show up." Blake said.
"Was she?" Marcy asked.
"Yes, but she didn't do anything wrong unless you count stealing Caleb's heart." Blake said.
"Awwwww." The girls said together.
"Yeah, but while Caleb and um what was her name again Emma or something I don't know." Blake said. "Anyway, while that was going down Elizabeth was trying to convert Philip that being a witch hunter would just lead to pointless bloodshed."
"I'm guessing that didn't work." Anne said.
"Yeah, and to things just got worst when Caleb decided to run away with his witch girlfriend, Philip tried to kill her, but Elizabeth got in way and a fight broke out." Blake said.
Elizabeth vs Philip
As Caleb and the witch were making a break for it the only thing stopping Philip from going after them was Elizabeth standing in his way.
"Out of my way Elizabeth I need to save Caleb's soul from that witch before he lost forever." Philip said with a dagger in his hand.
"The only thing lost here is your mind Philip their in love." Elizabeth said.
"She bewitched him now out of my way!" Philip yelled angrily.
"No, I will not stand by this madness needs to stop." Elizabeth said before grabbing a large stick off the ground and pointing it at him.
"So be it tractor." Philip said.
"I was never one of you." Elizabeth said before they charged at each other.
Back in the present.
"So, what happen next?" Marcy asked.
"Truth be told we don't really know all the details the only reason we know it was Philip who killed Elizabeth because her parents found her, and she told them with her dying breath after Philip stab her and ran off." Blake said.
"Wow you we're kidding when you said it was the worse break up ever." Anne said.
"So, happened to Philip and Caleb?" Marcy said.
"Again, we don't know they disappeared after that, and were never heard from again, so your guess is as good as mine." Blake said.
"I hope they got away from Philip and lived a happy life." Anne said.
"Maybe but afterwards our family lost a lot of trust towards humans, it wasn't until the war that they figured out to end the hunts once and for all." Blake said.
"I don't like the way you said that." Marcy said.
"And you shouldn't because they know that the colonist needed all the help, they to get to win the war, so they used that to get what they wanted." Blake said.
"Which was?" Anne said.
"First protection from the church to insured that the hurts would never happen again, second keeping our kind a secret because if everyone know about them, they would be hunted to be ether be killed or turned into weapons and finally some land where they can live their lives in peace after the war." Blake explained.
"Dude, it sounds like they were just trying to make the best out of a bad situation." Anne said.
"Maybe but it doesn't change the fact that they only helped for selfish reasons." Blake said as he started to tear up.
"Blake history is full of a lot of bad stuff, but I know they would helped them out of the goodness of their if people would have given them a chance." Marcy said.
"How do know?" Blake asked.
"Because you said they only wanted to help with food and healing meaning they likely didn't want to hurt anyone they just wanted to live their lives." Marcy said.
"Yeah, and besides their past doesn't decide your future and someday everyone will see your family like we do." Anne said.
"Thanks girls your best friends a guy could ask for." Blake said wiping his tears.
"Still, I wonder what happened to Philip and Caleb?" Marcy asked.
"Who knows but it doesn't matter now those two died hundreds of years ago, so we'll never have to worry about Philip ever darkening my family lives ever again." Blake said.
Little did they know how wrong he was.
End of chapter 14
Author's note and with that another chapter done next up the fourth and final temple. Speaking of the temples be honest was Blake's temple bad I felt I could have done better with it what would you guys change about it?
I also surprise and a little sad that I have not gotten many questions and no suggestions don't be afraid to ask. Like what is Blake middle name or what was Blake's toxic trait?
