Hello everyone and welcome to the last chapter of the fanfic prologue. There were 5 chapters, but it was worth it. Now I'll just have to do the rest, who knows how many there will be. I hope you enjoy.
On reviews:
Donuts -not Donut- Powerus: I had already realized that GN beams are faster and more accurate than standard beams (SEED/Destiny) since I made a comparison in action simultaneously between the 2 beams. At first I thought this might be due to the difference between the animation of both.
In fact, GN beams are more dangerous than their counterparts since they literally eat what comes into contact with it without leaving anything. Anyway, I still don't know what the standard beams are made of.
As for the difference between the two series' beam sabers, I'm still not sure if the Exia's GN Sword even coated with GN particles can stop a standard beam saber. I still don't know much about this matter just as I don't know if a standard beam saber would be an equivalent to a sonic blade. Sorry for my lack of knowledge on this.
Oh, and as for how the Chaos and the Abyss were able to communicate via radio despite the scattering of the GN particles, it's still a random problem that I'm trying to solve without results.
Guest: Thank you.
williamcll: I don't know much about Astray and Astrea since I didn't see the manga and the novel respectively, but I know a little about their history. I won't say much about Astrea, but I will put some Astray characters in the cast.
Chapter 4: Celestial Being
1/05/2023
Minerva bridge
Talia scowled as she watched the Impulse and the ZAKU fly through the hole in the colony.
"Captain!" Meyrin called out almost alarmed. "The Impulse's power is getting critically low! 300 left at the most!"
Arthur gasped in shock while Talia stood up from her chair when their hear that the only advanced unit they owned that hasn't been stolen was running out of power and worse, now being out of the colony exposed to danger.
"We can't afford to lose the Impulse as well." Talia said in exasperation. "Launch the Minerva!"
Almost everyone fell silent upon hearing their captain's order to get the Minerva off the ground right now. She turned to the Chairman.
"I trust you don't have a problem with that, Chairman."
"No," Durandal replied calmly. "We really don't have a choice right now."
Arthur merely nodded before turning to the intercom.
"Commencing the Minerva launch sequence." Arthur warned through the communicator. "This ship is now switching over to combat status."
In the Minerva's hangar
"I repeat! This ship is now switching over to combat status!" Arthur spoked, his voice echoing throughout the entire vessel.
All the crew heard the voice of the deputy captain through the radiator of sound of the Minerva, and they all got the idea that the ship was about to take off and then go into battle. Within the ZAKU, Athrun and Cagalli also heard the message and the pair also came to the same conclusion. They had to do something.
Then both of them heard a voice from outside that was amplified by the echo of the hangar.
"HEY! Why are you still inside? Has your floodgate broken?"
Both looked down across the monitor screen to see a soldier in green uniform standing in front of the feet of the ZAKU and looking up at the head of the uniojo mecha with his hands clasped around his mouth as a megaphone.
Athrun remained silent, unsure of wanting to answer the soldier who had called him, the latter realizing that no one was leaving the ZAKU's cockpit. He could not lie to them since they will soon know the truth, but he was also hesitant to reveal to them who they were. He couldn't think any longer when he noticed that Cagalli was looking at him with a determined look.
"Come on, Athrun."
With that encouraging momentum, Athrun decided to take the risk exposing themself besides that staying inside the cockpit of a Mobile Suit for who knows how long was not a good option either.
Athrun activated the ZAKU's loudspeaker system and set out to speak.
"Listen, before I go down, you should know that I'm not actually a ZAFT soldier!" Athrun spoke, whose voice was amplified by the ZAKU's speakers that spread throughout the hangar for all to hear.
All the hangar staff were bewildered and confused upon hearing the statement so they turned their attention to the ZAKU.
"I'm an Orb agent, and I have Representative Cagalli Yula Attha right here! We have come to seek refuge by the attack that occurred!"
Everyone was taken aback to hear all this, but the soldier who called him earlier regained his composure and set out to question him.
"If so, why are you in that ZAKU!?" He asked aloud.
"As I said, I have Representative Yula Athha here, and I had to take this ZAKU during the attack to defend her! I have my paperwork in my pocket. If you prefer I can get out of the cockpit to show it to you, and after that I request that we be kept under protection by the ship's Commanding Officer."
While he was saying that, Lunamaria's ZAKU landed in the hangar and quickly his pilot leaves the cockpit to see a good amount of the hangar staff gathered in front of a green ZAKU. Quickly Lunamaria got into the group and saw that the ZAKU's cockpit had opened, but instead of a pilot in his typical flight suit, a blue man in civilian clothes came out to her surprise. The man put his foot on the ZAKU's walkway and then she saw a blonde woman emerge from the cockpit who joined the man and both went down to the ground where the soldier who called them was waiting for them.
The blue haired man gave the soldier his documentation and the latter began to scan it for a brief moment before nodding satisfied with what he saw.
"Alright, I guess you are an agent of Orb."
Athrun nodded as another soldier gave the order to lower his weapons to the couple. Then Lunamaria stood next to a soldier while observed the couple.
"Hey, what's going on? who are those?" Luna asked the adult soldier.
"Apparently she is Orb's Representative, Cagalli Yula Attha and her personal bodyguard." The soldier replied.
The young red-violet haired gasped in bewilderment to hear that the couple were Orb politicians.
"You see, we saw the car where Chairman Durandal came from and that's why we came here." Cagalli replied to the soldier.
"The Chairman?" Lunamaria asked in surprise, not being aware that the PLANT Chairman had come here in person.
"Yes, the Chairman came here a while ago and went to the bridge." The other soldier replied.
Luna nodded a little before walking and approaching the couple.
"You see, we need to take the Representative to safety until this is over." Athrun requested towards the soldier now that he knows their identities.
"They could at least let the Chairman know that we're here." Cagalli requested as well.
The green uniformed soldier returned the ID to Athrun before speaking.
"You-
"Wait."
The 3 noticed the young Red Uniform girl who had stood next to the adult soldier to look at the couple.
"Better escort these two to the bridge and inform the captain of this." She said surprising the couple.
"Are you sure about that?" The green uniformed soldier asked looking somewhat doubtfully at the young red girl.
"Sure. I don't think they're going to do anything weird, right?" Lunamaria said the last sentence winking with picardia at the couple as a warning sign which made them both uncomfortable.
At this amused reaction Luna let out a chuckle.
"Just kidding, man. Follow me." He said pointing towards the exit of the hangar.
The young pilot walked through the halls as the couple nodded before following her escorted by several soldiers in green uniform.
Below the Minerva a large gate opens automatically allowing the large gray ship to slowly descend through the compartment by a large elevator to the outside of the colony.
"Is this ship going to take off?" Cagalli asked as she and Athrun were escorted through one of the halls of the Minerva.
Lunamaria, who was leading the group ahead, turned her head towards the blonde. "It seems so. I guess it's inevitable given the situation. But don't worry. The Minerva is a formidable ship, maybe even more so than the Archangel if you ask me."
Still, Athrun wasn't entirely sure if it was a good idea to take off given the situation out there. He understood well that it could not be avoided doing so due to the fear that the colony would probably end up like Heliopolis years ago, but he still worried that both he and Cagalli would be involved in the heat of battle despite both having plenty of experience in this type of situation.
Then he noticed a group of soldiers hurriedly runshing in their direction, more specifically towards Lunamaria who barely noticed what was coming ahead in front of her.
"Watch out!" Athrun shouted as he grabbed her to pull her away from the group of soldiers running past where Luna was before if Athrun hadn't pushed her away.
"Step aside, you rookies!" A green uniformed soldier shouted as he ran.
Athrun had pushed Lunamaria to the wall, looking surprised at the man's action, though she understood that it was only to protect her from the group of rushing soldiers.
"They'll be assholes." She growled angrily. "How can they run that way?"
"Are you okay?"
The young soldier looked tense as she watched as the young man still clung to her as if he were her bodyguard, and then she blushed a little.
"Y-yes, thank you."
"Athrun..." Cagalli muttered to Athrun watching the scene.
The purplish red haired girl adopted a stunned expression upon hearing the mention of 'Athrun', which made the blue haired man tighten as well.
"Did you say Athrun?" She asked Cagalli in surprise.
"Ah... No." Athrun intervened quietly as he turned away from her. "I'm just Alex Dino."
Exterior of the colony
Ignoring the air leak from the colony, the Exia and the Dynames began to circulate around Armory One in search of the 3 Mobile Suits that came out before, but so far they found no trace of them, but they did not abandon the search.
It was only then that they detected 3 flashes a little far away at distances that were getting farther and farther from the field of view.
"Enemy found! Enemy found!" Haro sang.
"I see them." Lockon said narrowing his eyes at the targets. "Let's go for them, Setsuna!"
"Roger." Setsuna said in response before he and Lockon charged their respective Gundams towards the designated targets.
Their arrival did not go unnoticed by the group of thieves who immediately became alarmed.
"SHIT, it's them!" Auel exclaimed almost in panic. "We have to hurry!"
Sting grunted in response before accelerating the fastest Chaos followed by the Abyss and Gaia. The Exia managed to get ahead of the Dynames and in a matter of seconds it had almost reached the 3 machines being the closest the Gaia in its trajectory and set out to attack the black Suit first with its beam saber. However, before Setsuna could claim to his prey, a green beam came between the attack of the Exia and the helpless Gaia. Setsuna stepped back in surprise and then looked up to see his attacker being a kind of light purple Mobile Armor shaped like a fighter, but without wings, and armed with 4 funnels (one of them loose) accompanied by a group of Daggers.
"A Mobile Armor."
"Neo!" Stella shouted in surprise and relief at the arrival of her leader.
"It's about time man." Auel exclaimed with an angry tone. "Where the hell were you?"
"Save yourself your tirade for another time." Neo snapped at Auel. "Now go back to the Girty that is not far away while we take care of distracting these guys."
With that said, the remaining group of Daggers clustered to the sides of the Exus ready to intercept the 2 Gundams.
Lockon growled at the sight of the group. "Are there still more of them? I thought Tieria would have eliminated them all."
"Careless! Careless!"
Don't matter. Now they had one more matter to deal with so they could intercept the targets before they escaped.
"Setsuna, take care of this Mobile Armor while I take the Daggers, understood?"
"Roger. Exia, ready to eliminate that Mobile Armor in front."
And with that begins a battle.
Not long after, the Impulse accompanied by the ZAKU Phantom witnessed several flashes on the screen of their respective cockpits and soon their found out that a battlefield was being unleashed.
"Listen, Shinn." Rey spoke through the communication system. "We don't know what's going on there, but it's better to be careful. If they are the 3 units we must intercept them as soon as possible."
"Understood."
And thus both pilots decided to approach the space battlefield to investigate.
The Exus unleashed its 4 funnels sending them flying at different simultaneously angles simultaneously surprising Setsuna as she hadn't seen anything like it. However, he couldn't think any longer when he moved the Exia back and forth quickly when the funnels began simultaneously firing their beams in a manner similar to Chaos.
The Exia managed to dodge the beams with amazing agility and maneuverability that surprised Neo a bit by the abnormal movements of the blue machine that looked a bit like the huge black-white that gaved them problems before. Even so the Gundam could not avoid all the beams since sometimes it had to use its shield to block some and others managed to impact on the back of the Exia causing a strong tremor, although fortunately it did not hit the GN Drive.
Either way, the blue Gundam was caught in a storm of beams that attacked it in all possible directions without leaving it a single breather. As well as Setsuna dodged and resisted the beam bombardments he could do little to keep advancing to reach the Mobile Armor leaving him in a stagnant situation.
So he could only do one thing. Destroy all possible funnels.
One of the funnels landed in front of the Exia and fired a beam that the Gundam dodged by moving a little to the right and immediately after fired its pink beam into the funnel, managing to reach and destroy it.
Neo clicked his tongue upon seeing his first funnel destroyed, but he didn't let himself worry and kept attacking.
Meanwhile, the Dynames fired at the incoming Daggers with their 2 guns in each hand; its GN sniper rifle and a GN pistol. The shots hit the target destroying several Daggers and others managed to dodge it for a fraction of seconds. The said survivors counterattacked by firing their own beams at the green Gundam, but the latter dodged the green beams with grace and accuracy in a manner similar to the huge Gundam moving back and forth and then fired 2 times.
2 Daggers were hit because the pilots were dumbfounded by the movements of the green machine who did not have time to react so they were shot down.
"Two more! Two more!" Haro sang victoriously.
"It's not over yet." Lockon replied as he focused on wiping out the rest of the squadron.
Meanwhile, at a safe distance from the battle, Shinn and Rey watched expectantly as the Gundams fought what appeared to be Union's Mobile Suits according to their information panel that identified them as GAT-02L2 Dagger L, a mass-production model successor to the GAT-01 Strike Dagger of the penultimate phase of the great war and which in turn were derivations of the 2 special prototypes of Project G being the closer to the GAT-X105 Strike and the GAT-X102 Duel.
On the other hand, the Mobile Armor that the blue Gundam was fighting could not be identified, but its model was similar to one used by the Union. It must be a new model.
Shinn's attention was only focused on the Gundams, mostly because of their movements, beam weapons, and that strange veil of bright spots coming off his back all the time, and he couldn't help but wonder what exactly it was and where those strange models had come from. However, something told him that they were not ordinary machines since until now he had not heard of anything like that.
"Rey, don't you think we should help those two?" Shinn asked his companion without understanding why the hell they were on the sidelines of the battle.
"We cannot risk intervening without even knowing about their intentions." Rey answered flatly on the other line which further compounded the confusion of the Impulse's pilot.
"Huh? What do you mean about 'their intentions'? Aren't they one of ours?"
"They are not. It looks like you weren't informed of this." Rey spoke seriously. "The Minerva has informed me that those two Mobile Suits that are fighting against the stolen units do not belong to the Second Stage Series and therefore to ZAFT, so they were labeled as 'Unknowns', in addition to being also declared as 'hostile' since the blue attacked and destroyed an entire squadron of GINNs who came to intercept the stolen units." He reported leaving Shinn greatly astonished by the last thing he said.
"The same goes for the green." He continued to indicate the Dynames. "It was the one who attacked the squad where Luna and I were going to back you up and shot down several DINNs forcing us away." He paused to let Shinn digest the information. "Do you understand now? We do not know who they are or what their intentions are, but whatever it is we cannot lower our guard since they are also hostile no matter what side it is."
Shinn was puzzled as he still confusedly watched the 2 Gundams battle and overwhelm the opposing forces while also reflecting on what he had just discovered. Those 2 Mobile Suits are not allies and are also forces hostile to ZAFT even though they are also fighting those thieves who caused all this chaos? What the hell was going on here? And why are they fighting them anyway?
The Dynames fired 2 more shots managing to hit one, while the other managed to dodge miraculously. This survivor tried to fight back, but did not get very far when he was hit by a random beam coming from the east.
Lockon was shocked by this preemptive attack and there could only be anyone who could have done it.
"Tieria." True to his confirmation, the Virtue approached the battlefield to back its own them.
"It's that thing again." Neo growled at the arrival of the big machine that caused them trouble before.
Part of the remaining squad of Daggers separated from their group to go directly to meet the other Gundam and immediately opened fire on him. However, the Virtue dodged the beams as it approached the group of enemy Mobile Suits and charged its GN Bazooka. It wasn't long before the huge cannon fired its thick pink beam destroying 2 Daggers.
The sole survivor dodged the lightning by rising higher, but it did not take long for him to meet the same fate as his companions when he was hit by a point-blank shot by the Dynames.
"Hey, Tieria, where the hell have you been? I thought you're done with these guys." Lockon exclaimed to his companion Meister as he opened a channel of communication with him.
"There were a few ZAFT ships still present and I had to deal with them so they wouldn't interfere." Tieria replied on the other line with an even tone unaffected by the annoying mishap. "I saw the explosion in the colony. What happened? Did you manage to destroy all three units?"
The green Meister let out a little snap before answering. "Unfortunately those guys were too good for Setsuna to deal with on their own plus there was also a fourth unit except that it hadn't been stolen and he was also fighting those three, but they couldn't do much. I could not intervene as I was guarding a ZAFT squad approaching them. Then one of those Mobile Suits started shooting on the wall of the colony like a madman and another joined him with a stronger armament and managed to cause that hole you saw. Setsuna and I couldn't stop them."
Tieria digested the information with a neutral expression, although he was also a little exasperated by this small setback.
"Where are they now?"
"It seems to me that they fled to their ship. Setsuna and I tried to catch up, but soon these guys came along and started delaying us." Lockon replied by indicating to what was left of the enemy squadron that it consisted only of the Mobile Armor even dealing with the Exia.
The Exia dodged one of the beams by moving to the side and then fired into the funnel without giving it time to avoid it.
Neo grunted again upon seeing his second funnel destroyed.
'Damn this guy is good...'
Just as Setsuna was about to charge directly towards the Mobile Armor the cockpit alarm of his Gundam interrupted any attempt at attack causing its pilot to look ahead, past the Mobile Armor, to see a large ship approaching towards them.
"That's..."
"It's about time." Neo said half relieved of the arrival of the Girty Lue.
"It's the mothership of the Alliance." Tieria declared upon reconnoitering the ship. "I will proceed with their annihilation."
With that, he aimed his GN Bazooka and started charging. However, without warning, the ship launched a barrage of missiles flying over the Exia and Mobile Armor going directly towards the Dynames and the Virtue.
"Enemy attack! Enemy attack!" Haro sang anxiously.
Lockon wasted no time in aiming and firing his GN pistols at the incoming missiles with Tieria's additional help.
At the same time, Neo took advantage of the distraction by picking up his remaining funnels and turning around to return to the Girty. However, Setsuna did not want to let him escape so he started chasing him. However, an alarm from his cockpit warned him of an imminent attack and he noticed that the ship fired its powerful 'Gottfried' beam cannon in his direction. Setsuna was able to maneuver the Exia in time to get out of the attack's trajectory and backed away towards where the Dynames and Virtue were.
Just as Tieria was going to load his bazooka again, they suddenly heard a deep sound coming from the colony and both turned back to then see a huge opaque gray armored ship with red reflections emerge on the other side of the colony structure. Lockon was bewildered just by seeing it.
"What's that?"
"A ZAFT's ship." Setsuna answered for him.
'So they've already let go.' Tieria thought to himself.
Shinn and Rey also witnessed the arrival of the huge ZAFT ship from behind them.
"It's the Minerva." Shinn exclaimed in surprise.
Minerva bridget
Talia narrowed her eyes on the other ship in front of them. It certainly seemed to be an Earth Alliance warship, giving strength to the sense of fear growing in its bowels.
"So that's their mothership." Durandal watched expectantly.
"Enter its characteristics into the database." He ordered Talia immediately. "From now on, we will refer to that ship as Bogey-1."
"In the same sector 157, Mark 80, Alpha. Impulse and the ZAKU!" Meyrin reported, gasping as his instruments revealed more than he expected. "We have also detected 3 unidentified units nearby."
The bridge almost gasped upon hearing that. What exactly did she mean by 'unidentified units'? Talia then turned to look at Meyrin.
"Can you call them?"
"Negative. The interferences are too great. We can't communicate with them." The young operator replied with a nod.
"We only have eye contact from them." Informed Burt Heim, radar operator of the Minerva before turning on in the main terminal of the bridge a large digitized image of the outside environment where they first saw the Impulse and the ZAKU Phantom and later also saw the 3 unknown Mobile Suits, 2 of them recognizable as the blue that attacked the perpetrators and the other the green that interfered with the attack squad. The last of them could not recognize him as they had not seen him before.
Their attention was only on said Mobile Suits that were standing trying to catch up with the other ship. Even from such a distant position on the bridge and through a screen image, they could observe well its features whose design did not resemble anything they had seen before, but the only thing they had in common was that they were the same model; they were G-Weapons.
"I wonder who they are and what army they belong to." Arthur spoke while standing while watching the 3 Gundams with intrigue.
"That doesn't matter." Talia interrupted flatly. "Wherever they are from, it does not leave the fact that these units are also hostile because as you have seen, they attacked and shot down many of our own so we will not hesitate to shoot them down as well if they attack us again."
As the large ship approached at high speed, Neo and what was left of the squadron reached the launch catapults of the Girty while it continued to fire the arsenal available to slow down the 3 Gundams.
"Shit, we should have brought Hallelujah with us." Lockon growled as he continued to shoot down several incoming missiles with his GN pistols.
"Stop complaining about it." Tiera spoke totally unperturbed by the situation as he intercepted the rest of the missiles. "The mission is not over and I have no intention of letting them escape."
The Exus arrived inside the Girty hangar, being caught by a strong net and stopping dead in a second. "Exus is back!" The intercom yelled throughout the area.
"Let's retreat, Lee! NOW!" Neo shouted even while in the cockpit of the Exus. With that order, the Girty turned around and its main engines exploded to the maximum, increasing the thrust of the ship and moving as fast away from the colony as it could.
"They are running away! They are running away!" Haro said.
"Yeah, I see them." Lockon said with frustration at the enemy's flight were it not for the appearance of that other ship.
"Not for long." Tieria declared as he lifted the GN bazooka. "Releasing compressed particles."
Girty bridge
"Large heat source incoming!" One of the bridge operators warned urgently.
Captain Lee watched with shock through the screen at the huge Gundam still loading its main weapon and was going to fire directly at the rear of the retreating ship. Just as he was going to order evasion, Neo's voice came earlier.
"Release extra propellant tanks from both sides, and detonate them!" The voice of the masked colonel spread across the bridge for everyone to hear. Lee himself was a little confused by the request.
"No need to separate the arms! Let them have a taste of that! Do it, NOW!"
No one disputed their orders when the operators started working on releasing the 2 huge propulsive arms of the ship.
The Meisters watched off guard as a section of the retreating ship that consisting of a sort of large mechanical arms separated and moved towards the Gundams.
"What will that be?" Lockon asked intriguingly.
Tieria also found this maneuver of releasing those 2 small sections of the ship a bit strange, but he couldn't reflect further when he noticed that the bazooka was loaded and he didn't waste time shooting. A mistake on his part since when the beam reached its target, the attached fuel tanks were detonated, causing a huge and powerful bright explosion.
The Gundams fought hard not to be swept away by the shock wave, even the Impulse and the ZAKU were strongly shaken by the wave. The bridge of the Minerva also shook sharply from the force of the explosion and all its crew tried to hold on to something so as not to hurt themselves.
It was after a time that the ball of light decreased its intensity until it disappeared in the middle of the darkness of space. When everything returned to calm, they saw that there was no trace of the enemy ship. They had escaped.
"Bastards. They have escaped taking advantage of that explosion." Lockon growled at the enemy's flight.
"That's irrelevant." Tieria stated neutrally. "We will catch up with them."
"Forget it, Tieria. We seem to have a bit of a problem to deal with." Lockon said pointing to the ZAFT battleship that it had recovered from the shaking. "What kind of ship is that?"
"According to my data, that ship is the LHM-BB01 Minerva, the first transatmospheric battleship built by ZAFT and the pinnacle of the New Millennium Project."
Lockon looked expectantly at the huge gray ship and wondered how much money and time it took the engineers to build such an eyesore. On the other hand, he also worried about how much it would cost him to be able to knock it down when they had to face it in the future. That ship was not only huge, it also looked quite armored with an anti-beam shield which would give them quite a bit of trouble not to mention their weapons.
"What do we do?"
Tieria carefully observed the huge ZAFT's ship and for a moment considered the opportunity to shoot it down even though its destruction was not part of the mission, but it would be a good opportunity to do so as it would save them problems in the future when they had to face ZAFT. The problem would be how much it would cost him to do so considering that he still did not have more data and information from this particular ship so he concluded that it could be an unnecessary risk.
"Let's forget about that ship." He replied resolutely. "Our target is those three units stolen by the Alliance, so-
Before he could finish the sentence the sound of the Virtue communicator interrupted him and Tieria turned him on to see who he was. In front of him appeared the digitized image of Sumeragi Lee Noriega.
"Listen everyone. We have tracked the location of the ship and it is too far away from you." The tactical strategist reported to the Meisters. "Abort the mission and return to the Ptolemaios immediately."
The 3 Meisters received the order with surprise and for Tieria she received it with displeasure.
"Why? No matter how far away they are, we can reach them and finish them off immediately." Tieria protested at the idea of abandoning the mission being only one step away from completing it successfully. "Their forces are depleted and I'm sure the energy of the targets will be exhausted. It would be a mistake to let them escape now that we can intercept them."
"That's not the problem." Sumeragi replied on the other line. "Even if you could reach it, I don't know how much it would cost you to destroy it before that ship in front of you arrives." She said in reference to the Minerva. "I'm sure that ship will try to reach that another one and recover those captured units. Remember that your mission is to prevent the Alliance from getting away with taking those three units either by destroying them or allowing ZAFT to capture them, do you understand?"
However, Tieria was not very happy with his tactical strategist's argument because of a risk she did not seem to consider.
"And even if ZAFT manages to recover their Mobile Suits, who guarantees that they will not use them against us in the future? It would be much better if we destroy it now before they get them back." Tieria argued against.
"I understand very well what you mean, but my decision is irrevocable. Return to the Ptolemaios immediately!" She ordered firmly.
Tieria could only click his tongue in disgust at the order to abandon the mission and leave the matter to that ZAFT's ship for capture and recovery. It is true that the objective of the mission was to intercept and prevent that Alliance squadron from taking those state-of-the-art ZAFT Mobile Suits to prevent them from creating new models of Mobile Suits based on those captured and save them a lot of trouble having to deal with them. The plan was to destroy them along with their perpetrators, but if they couldn't, they could simply let ZAFT take them back. Although in the opinion of the purple Meister, no matter what hands they are in, these could cause them unnecessary problems in the future and a great obstacle in their plans so he would have preferred to destroy them.
Sidelines of the discussion, Lockon had decided to remain neutral in the face of the struggle of arguments. On the one hand he agreed with his partner Meister to try to reach that ship and destroy it along with those units now that they had a chance to do so since it was going to be a problem having to deal with them in the future considering the problems it caused Setsuna before. But on the other hand he also did not want to be against Sumeragi's orders. As Tieria said, they had depleted their forces annihilating a large part of that squadron of Daggers and had exhausted the batteries of those 3 units so not only would they be an easy prey for them, it would also be for that ZAFT ship if it is so willing to hunt them down at once.
Seeing that the argument was leading nowhere, Lockon decided to intervene.
"Alright, we'd better listen to Miss Sumeragi and leave this matter to ZAFT. There will be another occasion to deal with them next time."
Tieria only rolled her eyes at the green Meister's argument. 'Yeah, and I'm sure we'll get more trouble next time.'
Still he decided not to insist anymore and to do what he was told. "Fine. We will retire for now."
Meanwhile, Setsuna was also on the sidelines of the conversation as he was keeping an eye on the only Mobile Suits he had in front of him; the white ZAKU and that G-Weapon that looked a bit like the Exia who fortunately did nothing or decided to attack them for the moment. On the other hand he was aware of the discussion and he also would have liked to hunt down the targets with whom he was fighting before to destroy them once and for all, but like Lockon he could not go against Sumeragi's orders and risk going alone in pursuit of that ship. There was nothing that could be done.
Shinn looked impatiently at the 3 Gundams still stranded in space in front of him with the blue watching both Rey and him while the other 2 were doing who knows what. At the same time he wondered what kind of models they were and where exactly they had come from. He was still pondering on what Rey told him about them not being allies and being declared as 'hostile' even though they were fighting the perpetrators. He kept wondering who exactly they were and why they were doing this.
His thoughts were interrupted when he saw that the 3 Gundams began to make their move, but not to attack, but turned around and immediately began to move away from them at an impressive speed.
"Wait!" Shinn shouted before he could move the Impulse in pursuit.
"Don't do it, Shinn!" He heard Rey on the other line abruptly before doing something rash. "It's not worth pursuing them in the state you're in. Nothing can be done anymore. Let's go back to the Minerva."
Shinn was a little reluctant to give up the pursuit of the 3 stolen units, but seeing how far away the enemy ship was, he had no choice but to obey his partner's orders to return to his ship and leave the chase for the time being.
With that in mind, he turned around next to the ZAKU Phantom heading towards the Minerva to board it.
Meanwhile, the Exia, the Dynames and the Virtue continued to sail through space in the direction of their own ship to rest. Its pilots were not in a very good mood because of the unsuccessful outcome of their first mission. They knew that it would be very difficult to fulfill it, but they still tried very hard to get to this point of being able to achieve their goal without any success. They could only think about the consequences they faced in the future because of their failure to be able to destroy those 3 Mobile Suits.
Several hours later
Several hours had passed since the terrorist's attack on Armory One. The Minerva had taken off from the colony with everything it had been able to save. Chairman Durandal was on board and his safety had been guaranteed. The Minerva had begun to hunt down the ship of the intruders who took 3 of their most modern Mobile Suits to retrieve them which had become the ship's highest priority at this time. Apart from that, surprisingly, apart from the Chairman of PLANT, Orb's Representative and her personal bodyguard were also on board the ship because they could not find a shelter so they had to board the Minerva mounted on a ZAKU.
Durandal had contacted the headquarters of the Supreme Council to inform them of everything that happened in Armory One, and suspected that the terrorists may have been members of the Alliance, since their ship seemed to be some kind of EA model in addition to the pilots who were closest, their Mobile Suits forces were identical to those used by the EA as well but black. Despite having this evidence that a nation from the Alliance was likely involved in the attack on Armory One, the Council did not make any apparent statements or open retaliation for the time being due to lack of tangible evidence.
With this, the only thing the Minerva could do at this time was to hunt down the perpetrators and unmask them to know their origin and intentions.
Walking alone through the empty corridors of the ship, Shinn was still pondering on everything that happened in the Armory, but his mind was more focused on those Gundams that gave off those glowing particles.
That looked quite beautiful like a trail of diamonds or small stars everywhere at the same time it looked so mysterious. He knew they were the cause of radio and radar interference. Its armaments were quite scarce, so few that almost Shinn thought it didn't have any weapons except for a few swords behind its back.
He never saw that Gundam in action, but he knew it had caused trouble for Chaos and Abyss by itmself, when he saw they were fleeing. Even that Gundam was not damaged. Alone in space, he watched its movements as it battled that strange Mobile Armor with funnels firing beams simultaneously and they moving quickly back and forth as if it were everywhere. Even Shinn would be compromised if he had to face those weapons, and it seemed that the blue Gundam had some difficulty dealing with them alone until he managed to adapt to the situation and counterattack by destroying 2 funnels.
Shinn tried to understand more about this new Gundam, but he couldn't concentrate on trying to understand this new machine. Its movements were fast, and every time it moved, the green particles that came off its back left a tail formed by brilliant greenish diamonds. It was also reminiscent of the other 2 Gundams, the green and white-black who also gave off a tail of bright green particles. He also witnessed, as did Rey, how those Gundams moved away leaving that trail of luminous particles.
What were those things...?
Then, the young pilot left his thoughts behind when he saw a person in front of him, it being his companion Lunamaria looking with a frown in front of him.
"Luna..." Shinn said somewhat confused by the expression she was wearing.
"Where have you been?" Lunamaria asked almost annoyed. "I was calling you five minutes ago."
Shinn blinked a little confused as he didn't understand anything she was trying to say.
"Come on." She said before approaching him and without warning began to pull his left arm and drag him down the hall. "Let's hurry up."
"Bu… but Luna… first your going to rip my arm off if you pull any harder, and second where are you taking me?" Shinn protested half annoyed. "What happened?"
"Listen Shinn, apparently something happened during the tenth anniversary of the HRL Orbital Elevator, everyone's in the cafeteria to catch the news report that will be on any minute now." She shot back, frustrated with how difficult he was being.
"So...?" Shinn questioned, not seeing anything of importance.
"It's just important ok, trust me, besides, the Captain wants everyone there." Lunamaria told him, taking a left at one of the hallway intersections.
"Really?" Shinn complained as they both continued to walk. "Why didn't you say so as opposed to dragging me off without explaining anything?"
At this, the purplish red-haired pilot let out an exasperated sigh before answering.
"It was announced five minutes ago! But you were out there taking a break without hearing anything!"
Shinn tried to open his mouth to try to clarify the matter, but could not say anything when a few seconds later they entered the cafeteria, where they saw several soldiers, mostly green uniforms, in addition to Rey (Red Uniform) gathered here. One of them saw the couple enter.
"It's about time." Said Shaw, one of the few available Minerva pilots. "Where were you?"
"Thanks for saving us some seats Shaw." Lunamaria said, slightly out of breath from running all over the place. "Shinn didn't hear the intercom announcement, so I had to go look for him." She said half sarcastically looking at Shinn.
"Anyways." The Impulse's pilot said calmly, trying to change the subject. "What was that important thing that happened in the Orbital Elevator?"
"You see, apparently a terrorist group with Mobile Suits tried to attack the Orbital Elevator of the Human Reform League that as you know was celebrating the tenth anniversary of its inauguration, and believe it or not, they had Mobile Suits from our army."
The 2 gasped dumbfounded to hear that the attackers had ZAFT Mobile Suits. If that were true and that they intended to assassinate HRL people and politicians, then the EA may consider this as war aggression and a second war will ensue.
"That's right. According to the media, those Mobile Suits were identified as GINNs." Rey intervened in the group.
"Are you serious?" Shinn asked incredulously looking at his companion.
"Yes. We don't know how, but we know they're not from our military and they may be the terrorists who stole those GINNs months ago." Rey explained.
Shinn was still dumbfounded by what had happened. Whoever that terrorist group that wanted to provoke that assassination attack carried out by ZAFT's Mobile Suits, it is most possible that the EA blamed PLANT for relating them to them or having found a good pretext to declare war on them again.
Shinn was aware of the relationship between Earth and PLANT at this time, and despite the great damage suffered at the end of the great war, Blue Cosmos managed to restructure itself as the greatest political and military leader in the political elite of Earth, at least in theory, and these had begun to feed the hatred and revanchism of the sympathizers to their cause to declare war again. That was not entirely a secret to the inhabitants of PLANT who were very concerned about the tensions on Earth and the prospects of a new nuclear attack as in Junius Seven or as in the Second Battle of Jachin Due.
'Oh no, not again.' Shinn feared at the prospect of another Earth-PLANT war like the one 5 years ago.
"And what happened next?" Luna asked, also fearing for the situation. "Did they manage to get away with it?"
Rey was a little silent before answering.
"Fortunately not. According to media reports, an unidentified Mobile Suit intercepted and annihilated the terrorists before they could do any harm and left none of them alive. There were no fatalities except the terrorists themselves."
Hearing that the assassination had apparently been foiled, Shinn and Luna breathed a sigh of relief at the news, but there was something to clarify.
"You said that the terrorists were wiped out by an unknown Mobile Suit, right? From which army?" Shinn asked curiously.
"That's what nobody knows." Rey replied shaking his head slightly. "The HRL army admitted that this Mobile Suit does not belong to its armed forces. They could not identify its insignia, any squadron mark, or its origin. The only thing that is known about him was that he suddenly burst into the attack and finished off the GINNs in a few moments and then left where he came before the army could identify him or contact him. Today its parallel remains unknown."
The couple listened carefully to what happened to the Mobile Suit and couldn't help but be intrigued by it. Above all, Shinn, who was immersed in his thoughts about that unknown Mobile Suit that prevented the terrorist attack and subsequently a new war between Earth and PLANT. According to Rey, that unit did not belong to the HRL, and therefore declared as 'unknown'. That reminded him back of the 3 Mobile Suits of unknown origin that broke in and attacked the 3 perpetrators of the Chaos, Abyss and the Gaia and also attacked ZAFT for some reason and that they were currently in unknown parallel.
Those 3 unknown Mobile Suits were not on the side of either side and simply allegedly belonged to a third faction equally unknown to both sides. The Mobile Suit that stopped the terrorist attack did not appear to have intervened on behalf of HRL forces and simply did so deliberately. Will it have any kind of relationship with the 2 Mobile Suits he saw before?
He couldn't think any more when he looked up, his eyes glued to the screen.
"During the Orbital Elevator's tenth anniversary ceremony, a terrorist unit with MS, presumably from ZAFT, attacked the Human Reform League's space station. "The news anchor explained. "Now, we cross live one of our reporters, who was at the scene at the time of the attack, providing coverage of the ceremony themself."
The screen changes scenery on a backdrop of the ballroom that was used as the ceremonial venue, with the reporter in the large room alone.
"At six GMT, suspected terrorists launched missiles at the station. However, an unidentified Mobile Suit intercepted the missiles and shot down the terrorists before leaving away. Here I leave you with a recording made by our cameraman by chance."
The screen cuts out again to show cameraman caught during the attack, a large cloud of pink smoke could be seen as it dispersed, the camera then panned to the right, and zoomed in on a orange and white Mobile Suit equipped with a beam cannon. Enlarging the image a little more, viewers looked at the features of said Mobile Suit and saw that its torso was orange (including the soles of its feet) while the rest was pure white. Apart from the cannon, it is also equipped with a pair of large blades on its feet similar to those of the Chaos. However, the feature that caught their attention the most was its distinctive V-shaped crest located on the forehead that helped them identify what type of model this particular MS was.
"Hey, that looks similar to the Impulse and the other G-Weapons, right?" Luna whispered as she turned her head to both Shinn and Rey.
"Certainly it is." The latter replied.
Shinn kept saw at the orange Gundam and had a feeling he had seen its features somewhere. He could not think any longer when he saw that the orange Gundam turned and immediately began to move away from the chamber through the deep space and already at a considerable distance increased the speed even more until disappearing into the darkness leaving behind a strange trail of bright particles like stars. Shinn was the first to react to the strange spectacle by remembering how the other 3 previous Gundams emitted that mysterious veil of particles.
"That was the trail of light left by the other three when they left."
"It seems so." Rey replied also recognizing the same trail of particles that the Gundams emitted.
"Wait, you mean this Mobile Suit is related to the other three we saw?" Lunamaria asked looking at the 2 boys.
"It's possible." Rey replied by crossing his arms.
The footage stopped running and the screen cut back to the news anchor.
"Now we have breaking news." The anchor announced. "We have just received a video-message of a recording sent by the alleged group that sent that Mobile Suit. We don't know how he sent it to us, and he didn't tell us any more details. But it seems they want to give us a statement from the group and its purpose. The video-message is will be relayed on all televisions around the world and spoken in different languages. We will broadcast the message without cuts, pay attention."
The video message began immediately afterwards, showing a 50-year-old man sitting in a chair. This man was bald, with a mustache and brown beard, dressed in a black suit with a cane and a monocle. Behind him, large open window as a backdrop, underneath the chair was a circular rug with a strange logo on it, it depicted a gold bird and halo in front of a picture of the earth framed by a wreath.
"Hello everyone." The man spoked with a German accent, the tone in his voice commanding respect. "My name is Aeolia Schemberg."
"Eolia what...?" Shinn asked puzzled before being silenced by Rey.
"You may remember me as one of the most brilliant minds of the twentieth century, and also the author of the Solar Energy System."
Both Athrun and Cagalli were watching TV in one of the Minerva's staterooms and watched the introduction of the strange man known as Aeolia Schemberg, and upon uttering his name, Athrun noticed how Cagalli became quite tense.
"But now I'm not going to introduce myself as that." He replied by pausing before continuing. "I have a message for all humanity that has been born on Earth and in the colonies that have surely gained their independence and formed their own governments." He spoke before paused. "I am the director and founder of Celestial Being, an secret paramilitary organization that interfere in the war conflicts of the world."
"Celestial Being...?" Cagalli asked a little confused.

The message is also broadcasted on all televisions and on the large screens of buildings so that all citizens listen to it carefully.
"I repeat, we are an paramilitary organization that interferes in the world's armed conflicts in order to fulfill our main objectives; the eradication of wars and the reformation of the world. For that purpose, we exist."

At the White House, U.S. President Brian Stegmeyer, in his seat in the Oval Office, was watching Aeolia's announcement with his secretary on television.
"We use as the only weapon to intervene in the battles and that will promote the eradication of wars, the Mobile Suits that you have surely seen, the Gundams. Those machines are the symbol of our cause and power, and their pilots, the Gundam Meisters, are the ones who will spearhead our ideals."

In the HRL president's office consisting of a large luxurious hall decorated in a traditional way and at the end he was sitting at his personal desk, Chairman Jiang Decheng (a middle-aged Chinese man with glasses) was also watching the speech of the man who was supposedly in charge of the intervention that prevented the attack on the Tianzhu Orbital Elevator with mild interest.
"We will not act for our own benefit or profit. We stand for the greater goal of eradicating war. As of this moment, I make this declaration to all humanity. Whether by political parties, dominance, religion, energy, or independence, we don't care about your justification for starting an armed conflict..."

Even the members of the Supreme Council of PLANT (except Durandal) gathered almost in a semicircle listened through a large holographic screen to the message with interest, since it was related to the 3 unknown Mobile Suits that the Minerva informed them hours before they broke into the attack perpetrated by the 3 units originally theirs and nothing more was known.
"...We will go to any battle and finish it no matter what. Even though we are a very small group, compared to an army and fewer resources, we have the greatest technology you will ever have."
The man paused again so that those who heard him could reflect a little before continuing.

"This is not only a message to all humanity, it is also a warning to all world leaders and military companies." Aeolia spoke as his tone became somber. "From now on your days are numbered. At this time we will launch an international campaign to intervene in any battle that takes place in the world. We don't care if our enemy is a company, an organization, a country, or even the entire world. Any of them who continue with their military agendas, they will know us much better in person than these words I am pronouncing... We are Celestial Being. We are a global militia that intervenes in the armed conflicts of the planet in order to eradicate wars. Our only ambition is the reformation of our world."

Several soldiers, whether Russian or Chinese, were watching the video message, and their leader, Russian Lieutenant Colonel Sergei Smirnov, a 43-year-old middle-aged man with a vertical scar mark on his right eye, kept staring seriously and intrigued by the man's statement on the screen about his supposed purpose.
"The reformation of the world...?" Sergei asked uncertainly.
"I will repeat it from the beginning..."

In the audience, 2 young girls of 21 years watched with curiosity and trepidation the German man on the big screen. One has short, brown hair as well as her eyes. She wears a light blue T-shirt and tan pants. The other also has brown hair and blue eyes. She dresses in a light orange sleeveless shirt, a yellow zipless jacket and lastly a pair of blue jeans.
Something caught the attention of the first woman when she recognized the man's face.
"That man is..."
Tianzhu Orbital Elevator
Inside the HRL Orbital Elevator, a linear train sped down to earth. One of the occupants being a young Chinese girl smiled to herself. Her black hair was tied up in two giant pigtails. Her euphoria had a lot to do with the announcement she had just heard on the radio.
"The world is changing." She commented to her aide, who sat in the chair adjacent to hers.
Somewhere unknown
In an undisclosed location, a man in his 30s wearing a brown suit watched the broadcast with an illegible expression as he sat in an armchair with a glassglass full of wine in his right hand while the other used it to pet a shaggy black cat resting on his legs.
"The world is taking a path we did not plan for." He said to himself "This 'Celestial Being' might be a problem in the future."
"Lord Djibril, the other members are here." One of his aides said, a little afraid of the man.
"I see." Said the man known as 'Djibril' as he turned off the TV and then got up (the cat resting on his legs woke up while it felt its owner get up so it jumped out) to leave the room.

One of the occupants being the driver, a 27-year-old man with blond hair and dressed in a business suit let out a loud laugh after hearing Celesital Being's statement on the radio. In fact, unlike most people in the world who received and took such a statement with disbelief, skepticism or uncertainty, this particular one took it as a funny joke especially because of the methods they were going to use to carry out the cessation of armed conflicts.
"This is a work of art! Using force to stop wars!" The man commented still laughing before his expression became a little serious although he still looking with a small mocking smile. "Celestial Being, your existence itself is a contradiction."
At the same time, his co-pilot, a man with long brown hair tied to a ponytail and dressed in a white coat, remained serious all the time without sharing the same humor as his laughing companion regarding this supposed 'paramilitary organization'.

"Rey, who is this guy?" He asked looking at his companion with an impatient tone.
"This man is one of the most brilliant genuine minds of the 21st century. He was the one who proposed the theory of solar energy during the fossil fuel decay crisis."
The eyes of both Shinn and Lunamaria widened in surprise and confusion upon hearing a stretch of Rey's information.
"Did you say the 21st Century!?" Lunamaria asked incredulously.
"What do you mean?" was the next Shinn to ask without understanding. Rey aggravates his gaze a little before answering.
"That man died two hundred years ago." He answered bluntly.
"Two hundred years ago!?" Athrun exclaimed in surprise.
The young blonde woman nodded to her shocked boyfriend as she revealed that Aeolia was born in 2051 and is said to have passed away in the 2100s.

At the same time there was also a young man about 21 years old with messy brown hair and turquoise eyes watched the broadcast repeat with a sad expression on his face, subconsciously his hands scrunched up into a fist. At that moment, a young girl his age with long pink hair entered the room and saw him like that, she went over and began rubbing his back to calm him down, soon enough he unclenched his fists, she then turned the TV off and led him away from the room so he could calm down properly.

"The destiny of humanity will change at last." Durandal declared with a smile.
Ptolemaios bridget - Lagrange 1 - Earth orbit
On the bridge of the Ptolemaios, the crew members had listened to the transmission they sent to all media stations and each had their own thoughts. Among them were Allelujah and Tieria. The first of them could not help but smile almost maniacally like a child waiting to visit an amusement park.
"Hallelujah, I feel like I can finally see the evil will of the world." He said softly, more to himself than to anyone else. However, his companion Meister behind him, heard what he had said.
"Celestial Being is only testing humanity." He said in response keeping his expression neutral.
"That's a bad deed." Sumeragi pondered quietly with an almost solemn tone.
In the Ptolemaios's hangar
Lockon turned to Setsuna. "The whole world will become our enemy with this. You understand, Setsuna?"
"Yeah, I know." Setsuna replied as he turned his gaze to the Exia. His eyes fixed on the mighty mecha that was created precisely to eradicate wars and reform the world.
"We're the Gundam Meisters of Celestial Being. Our mission: to change the world..."
And with that, the Ptolemy moved forward, with its GN Particles leaving a short trail as it did. It was time for true change…
Here ends the end of the prologue and therefore the first part of the story. Now will come the beginning of the armed interventions of the Gundams Meisters around the world.
For those who have taken note of how 'acute' the first mission in Armory One was for failing to achieve their goal of destroying the stolen MS, I understand this was a waste of time, but at least they managed to get the world's attention and it will not affect their future plans at all.
From now on, the following chapters of the 3 interventions of the Gundams Meisters will be exactly the same as the canon, but set in the Cosmic Age with ZAFT in the conflict as well. Lastly, now that I've laid out the rest of the cast of characters (both 00 and SEED/Destiny), I guess it should be time to put some differences on them. As I said before, most of all the characters will be canonical, but with some differences due to the events that was the Bloody Valentine War, as in the case of Graham Aker who due to his participation and survival will have an incredible experience fighting against Coordinators so it will be a tough opponent for a Coordinator Setsuna.
In fact, some 00 characters will have a little more experience except for Patrick Colassaur. DX
As I'm sure you've noticed, I put new items on the Kyrios to somewhat match those of SEED/Destiny like the beam claws from the Aegis and Chaos, and it also has a Pack Change similar to the Striker Packs. The latter occurred to me when I saw the Kyrios Gust in Armed Intervention of the Bloody Valentine and then thought of giving it a packs change system.
One last thing. Surely the 2 women who were listening to Aeolia's message in Orb have looked familiar to you, right? Let me tell you, it's actually Kinue Crossroad and Miriallia Haw. That's right, guys. Both Saji Crossroad and Lousie Havely live on Orb instead of Japan. Now, if you ask me how Lousie's loving and caring mother allowed her adorable daughter to study in a country that only recently suffered a violent foreign invasion, I'm still trying to find an excuse.
That's all for today.
Ja ne!
