3rd Person POV

The bell of the elevator rang, followed by two doors departing from each other and revealing the bustling group of people that exited the elevator. Lucy and Loke followed close behind, with Loke rubbing his stomach and letting out a loud yawn.

"Well, that was something, ay Lucy?" Loke said as the elevator doors closed behind him.

"I told you there were different varieties of salads, didn't I? I wouldn't lie to you," Lucy responded kindly with her hands behind her back.

"We get it, you're the fitness guru. No need to rub it in," Loke jokingly laughed alongside her.

"LOKE!" A voice boomed from the end of the hall.

Lucy and Loke turned to see the Scarlet Queen of the office, Erza, marching elegantly down the hallway towards them. With every step she took past an office full of workers, each head ducked down to work, the last thing they needed was an angry woman breathing down their neck.

Erza stood before Loke who was practically sweating at this moment. The man readjusted his collar and looked up at her sharp eyes that felt like daggers piercing his very soul, she glanced over at Lucy and gave her a warm smile.

"Ah, Lucy, I hope your lunch was enjoyable," Erza said in a gentle tone, quite the opposite of her previous tone.

"It was refreshing and very relaxing," Lucy responded with a warm smile.

"Yeah, like she said," Loke followed.

"Good. I just wanted to ask you two if you have seen Mr Dragneel?" Erza said as she adjusted her posture and took on a more superior stance, "I assigned to him a task that I need to be completed by the end of today, without fail,"

"Natsu. Isn't he at his desk?" Loke raised a brow as he stuffed his hands in his pockets and walked over to the office room where Natsu is normally based in. Once he had reached the windows that led to the door, he noticed that the pinkette wasn't in his favourite position, "That's odd."

"It's not like him to vanish around this time, whether he took his break or not," Erza said with folded arms as she stood beside Lucy.

From where the elevator is, there are three paths. The far right is where the closets and bathrooms are, the far left is where the door to the stairs is, and down the middle from the elevator is the hallway with a row of offices on each side. Each office is a room filled with 12 desks.

At the end of the hallway is a door to the meeting rooms and break room.

There are four office rooms in total, marked from 1A - 1D. The office Natsu was based in is 1C.

Loke opened the door to 1C and walked in, he came by Natsu's desk and saw that it was tidy once again, he scoffed at this and looked at the computer. He raised a brow at the black screen, "Wait a minute..."

He gently moved the mouse and the screen turned on to the last thing Natsu was doing.

He gasped at the revelation that Natsu had left his system unlocked.

It is crucial for everyone to lock their systems whenever they leave their system for a period of time or even for a little time; no matter where they go.

Loke let out a sigh and brought his hand to his mouth, a smirk appeared beneath that hand and he went back towards the door to inform Erza of something.

"There's a post-it note that says he just went to the bathroom, Mrs Scarlet," Loke told her.

Erza shook her head, "Great news, i shall return to my duties then."

Lucy and Loke bowed as Erza continued on down the hallway, the sound of her heels getting fainter the more she walked away. Loke turned to Lucy with a sheepish look on his face, the blonde noticed this and looked up at him with a brow raised.

"What is it?" She asked.

"I'm going to head to the bathroom, you mind getting started on that project we were previously working on?" Loke said as he rubbed the back of his head.

"Just don't be long," Lucy said as she walked off to the meeting room that was in the next part of the building.

Loke smiled from ear to ear and entered Office 1C once again, it was barely filled and had two people at the desks but were facing the opposite way from where Natsu's row was.

Due to Natsu's way of being, nobody sits in his row so that they can avoid his aloof behaviour and intensely focused gaze, it just puts them off every time he rambles on about being dedicated to working and wasting no time in the office.

Loke whistled silently and shamelessly sat in Natsu's seat, he looked at the cups of pens and pencils and knocked them over purposely, "Whoops."

He gently moved the mouse again and saw all the data Natsu had put into the system, he grinned from ear to ear and went to the Document settings. He found that Natsu didn't have autosave feature on and the option to backup to the cloud was off.

Loke rolled his eyes. He went ahead and deleted the last 6 pages of the previous book that Natsu had completed. Loke did it in a graceful manner, carelessly editing the wrong data that isn't shown in the books and happily doing it.

"We have rules in place for a reason, bastard," Loke thought to himself as he went and manually saved the documents and set the computer as they were before.

He got up from the chair and walked back out of Office 1C., everyone passed him normally and he did the same as if he wasn't just in an office where he doesn't have a desk, sabotaging the work of another colleague, "I feel so good about myself right now. If that bastard loves working so much, he shouldn't have a problem redoing it all, right?"

"Loke!" Lucy appeared in front of the redhead who jumped at her sudden appearance in front of him.

"L-LUCY! H-Hey! Shouldn't you be working on that project we were assigned?" Loke asked with a little stutter, he managed to straighten himself up and not seem suspicious in any kind of way.

"I was. Until I noticed some inconsistencies with the analytical data that we received on the market, I was just going to head over to 1C to ask Mr Dragneel about it." Lucy told him as she held a flimsy folder with three pages within it.

She tried to go around him, but Loke stopped her. He stepped to the side of her, "You can't!"

"Why not?" Lucy asked.

"Because he's not in the office right now and when I went to the bathroom, I didn't see him whatsoever," Loke exclaimed.

Lucy was confused and her face pretty much told Loke all about it, she spoke up, "Didn't you say he left a post-it note though-."

"I did, but he must be slacking off now. Maybe a smoke break," Loke lied, "It's way past the period of lunch so I was just off to report this to Mrs Scarlet-."

Just then a ringing was heard from the elevator, the doors parted from each other and revealed the pinkette carrying his backpack in hand. His neutral face was still present and didn't even depart from his face once he saw the two down the hallway.

Natsu casually walked to Office 1C, entered it and close the door behind him.

"Well, there he is," Lucy said with a small smile on her face.

Loke watched as Natsu placed his bag down under his desk and began fixing his desk. He sat down in his chair, pulled up close to his desk and moved his mouse gently.

Without Loke noticing, Lucy had walked up to the Office 1C door and entered it after a little knock on the door. She remained calm and happy as always, "Good evening, Mr Dragneel,"

Natsu turned from his computer screen to the blonde, "Evening."

"It seems you did take that break as I suggested," Lucy smiled sheepishly as she placed the folder on his desk and sat on a chair beside him.

"You could say that. What can I help you with?" Natsu asked her in a calm tone.

Lucy sat in a chair beside him and moved over towards him where both their knees were touching one another, but Natsu wasn't bothered by it. She leaned in as she placed the document in front of them and Natsu instinctively leaned in as well to inspect the data that she began to point at, "We have some inconsistencies with the data we received, I was wondering if you could check the books again to see if they are just as correct as the ones we have,"

"We normally don't address this kind of issue. Have the sales spiked?" Natsu asked as he darted his eyes at her.

Lucy just calmly smiled at him as she glanced over at him, "Yep,"

"Interesting. I'll take a look," Natsu sat up straight and began navigating around his computer with his mouse. Lucy watched him intently with awe as he opened files and tapped his keyboard to input certain numbers into the software.

"What button did you just press?" Lucy asked.

The pinkette looked at her and then back at his keyboard to redo the action. He showed her how he uses shortcuts on the keyboard to input the data rather than just navigating the screen with the mouse, as it makes the work way easier and less exhausting opening tabs and drop-down lists.

"Do you have to manually analyse the data you receive or does the software do it for you?" Lucy asked out of the blue.

"I manually analyse it myself, you can't trust the software too much because it only follows its set of commands that may or may not align with our plans," Natsu responded, not taking his eyes off of the screen.

"I see. Thank you for teaching me something today, I guess we are even," Lucy said with a small giggle.

"How so?" He asked, still having his eyes glued to the screen.

"I advised you with a break and you taught me something about Analysing Data and some little Digital skills here and there," Lucy giggled behind her hand.

"I see. I feel that what I taught you weighs more than your advice to take a break," Natsu responded, actually turning to her slightly.

Lucy challenged his stare and smiled gently as she took his mouse into her hands and leaned over towards the screen as she stood up from her seat, "Oh yeah?"

Lucy navigated the mouse to the settings of the software and went through the options and turned on a feature that Natsu had no idea of. His eyes remained as slits as she returned to his main screen and stood up to look down at him with a prideful smile, "Bet you didn't know that,"

"Okay, we are even now," Natsu said before turning back to his screen.

He took the mouse back into his hand and started to check the books. Lucy watched closely, leaning in here and there purposely without the pinkette really complaining. Just then, she gasped as she gently tapped his knuckles.

"What happened??" She asked with worry.

Natsu looked down at his knuckles then back up at his screen, "Nothin-."

"This isn't just nothing!" Lucy said as she held his hand with both of her hands and caressed his knuckles softly, "Your poor knuckles are bruised,"

His hard knuckles were warm to the touch but were red and bruised, almost as if whatever harmful activity he did was quite recent, the pinkette was not fazed when Lucy touched his hand, in fact, he found it amusing that the office's golden girl was giving him such attention.

But, knowing how he is, Natsu jerked yanked his hand towards himself and returned to holding the mouse.

"And they'll heal like they always do," Natsu said nonchalantly, barely wincing at the pain as he adjusted his knuckles and moved his mouse around.

Lucy looked up at him with a surprised look then gently smiled, "If you say so, Mr Dragneel,"

Loke just watched as the two conversed about the issues of the data that she told Loke about. Loke folded his arms and began to tap his feet furiously, he always hated this carefree manner that Natsu carried around like he was better than Loke or something and he didn't like it when the pinkette wouldn't react to anything that Loke does to him.

To Loke, he can't respect Natsu, and he never will until the pinkette quits with his shit. He knows how Natsu really is and still can't believe that he acts all high and mighty like this.

Just then, Office 1C's door opened and Lucy took a step out into the hallway. Loke turned to the blonde with a sheepish grin on his face.

"Damn, that was quick. How did it go?" He asked.

"Mr Dragneel said he will look into it and get back to me when it's done," Lucy responded as she brushed past Loke.

Loke chuckled, "That felt like 5 minutes though, what else were you talking to him about, come onnnnn,"

"We just shared knowledge with each other, there wasn't time to converse with one another."

"Okay, but what kind of knowledge? Because the only thing you're good at telling people about is how to eat healthy and shit like that," Loke said as peered over at her annoyingly.

She pushed his head gently, "How could you say that? I know more things outside of just food and fitness,"

"Huh? Like what?" Loke asked jokingly with an astonished expression.

Lucy raised her finger, "Like how to save work. We traded knowledge; he showed me how he analyses the data and inputs it into the system through a particular software, after that, I showed him how to save the work he completes onto the cloud,"

"Damn, Dragneel doesn't know how to save to the cloud?" Loke asked as if he was oblivious to this information.

Of course, he knew Natsu didn't know how to save through the cloud, the pinkette is so used to the old document softwares that he didn't realise or know how to turn on the new feature for auto-saving future work.

"Well, let's get back to work then. Whilst Dragneel is dealing with that, we can carefully watch over the updated sales that are coming in right, so let's hop to it!" Loke said excitingly as he walked up ahead of the blonde.

Lucy slowed down her walking and watched as Loke made his way to the meeting room, she looked back at Office 1C where Natsu was working tirelessly. A small smile appeared on her face before she began to follow Loke once again.

"Pardon me, Ms Heartfilia!" A voice called out to her. She turned around to the voice and saw her Manager standing at the end of the hall, making his way over to her. He wore a dark blue three-piece suit, with maroon shoes and his hair neatly combed.

"Mr Fullbuster, how may I assist you?" Lucy bowed before him.

"May I have a report of the meeting you attended?" Mr Fullbuster said as he walked ahead of her. Lucy followed close behind with her hands clasped behind her back.

"The meeting went well and we were able to confirm the areas where our sales were taking hits. Our sales are clashing with Sabertooth Tech Labs' sales, so we've noted down a few ways to get customer feedback, that way we can make improvements to sail ahead of our competition," Lucy reported to him.

"Interesting. Please send your written report to my email, and get started on ordering the archives. Leave Loke to continue watching the sales, for now. We won't be getting a lot of help in the office till Friday, so we need all hands on different tasks in the office," Mr Fullbuster said. He stopped walking and turned to the blonde with a key to the Archives room in hand, he handed her this key, "I hope you can handle this task for me?"

"I'll do my best, Mr Fullbuster," She bowed to him.

"Thank you." And with that, the handsome man went back from where he came.

Lucy let out a small sigh and made her way to the meeting room, she opened the door and found Loke staring up at the screen on the wall, tapping his pen against his lips.

"Mr Fullbuster gave me a new task," She said.

Loke turned to her for a second before returning his eyes to the screen, "Jeez, how many tasks is he going to hand out? Will you be able to handle it?"

"It's just ordering the records in the Archives room, it should be easy," Lucy said as she stretched her arms a little bit.

"Don't underestimate, Lucy. That's the Archive room. The place with the biggest responsibility yet, if you need any help, just let someone know," Loke said as continued watching the screen.

"Someone?" Lucy repeated.

"Yeah, someone like Dragneel or something. Fullbuster should've given it to him, he knows how to order shit," Loke said.

"I don't know, he's been working so hard. I don't want to disturb him," Lucy said as she looked down at the key that she had in hand.

"I would help you, Lucy, buuuuut, these sales are jumping crazy right now and I want to be able to catch the spike myself," Loke said as he made his way around the giant table and sat down where his laptop was.

Lucy rolled her eyes and closed the door to the meeting room. The Archives room was at the end of the hall and was the only one with a keycard panel, Lucy tapped the keycard that Mr Fullbuster had given her and the door slid open, the room immediately came to life with bright white lights.

Lucy breathed in and out as she was introduced to the massive shelves that had rows in front of her, she put on her determined face, "I've got this! Just like Mr Dragneel does, stay focused, Lucy!"

A Few Hours Later...

"Oh, you're still here, Lucy?" Laki asked as she passed through the Archives room.

The blonde quickly stuffed something onto the shelf she was sorting and peered around it normally to give Laki a nice and gentle wave as she smiled tiredly.

"Yeah… I just didn't recognise how late it was, how about yourself, you're here quite late," Lucy yawned a little.

Laki nodded, "I'm just putting away a few things before I go on my annual leave. I just wanted to retrieve the last documents that Mrs Scarlet instructed me to give to Natsu,"

"Mr Dragneel…" Lucy said calmly as she smiled to herself, "He sure does work really hard,"

"Very. He's one of the most reliable colleagues I've come across, there's no point in ever telling him to take a break because he just won't listen," Laki smiled as she turned to an opposite shelf and pulled out Natsu's personal folder where he keeps most of his work and what is sent to him from different firms, "But please don't be intimidating by him, he's quite aloof at times, but he has a kind heart,"

Lucy watched the folder intently as Laki put the documents inside, it was a large amount of documents as well.

Lucy turned to what she was doing earlier, "So, what tasks did Mrs Scarlet give him?"

"A few sorting tasks, is all. But there are some tasks in there that I'm completely unsure of, but I'm sure Natsu will understand once he sees them," Laki explains, "Now I just need to let him know-"

"Oh no, no, no, you dont have to do that. I'll let him know for you, Laki," Lucy raised her hands up and gently held onto the folder Laki was holding.

"Oh? Really? Are you sure?" Laki raised her brows.

"Of course! What are colleagues for! Besides, I will still be here a bit longer, so you might as well get that early start to your annual leave," Lucy said happily which made Laki smile constantly as she let go of the folder.

"Okay, thanks a lot, Lucy! I'll see you when I get back," Laki waved to the blonde who waved back with a smile. Laki turned on her heel and made her way to the door where she came from.

Once she left, Lucy tapped her chin as she reached into the shelf she was sorting and pulled out a small blue bag with a gigantic smile on her face, "I know just how to put you to use~"
