Chapter 98 Nakia's Nightmare Part 6
Cosmica is once again using the power of her sword to penetrate the fence which is actually a dark barrier surrounding Nakia's entire home. The Power Rangers stand their guard.. They extract their weapons and await for whoever's making those horrible shrilling noises to show themselves.
Suddenly a hoard of new looking beasts reveal themselves. These beasts resemble gremlin type creatures but with one special change.. On the tip of their foreheads lay blood marks which are a very special part of their existence. Knightmara has used the basis of Nakia's dream to create them.. Now their job is to distract the Power Rangers and Cosmica so the real deal can get to Nakia. The Pink Ranger is the first to see them coming towards them.
Pink Ranger-Hey you guys! Look!
They all turn around and see the beasts as well.
White Ranger-What are those things?!
Green Ranger-I don't know but we'd better stop them!
The Rangers regroup and the Red Ranger steps forward.. They all rush towards the Gloom Marks and soon the battle begins.
Meanwhile, in Nakia's home and up in her room, Knightmara is completing her spell.. Nakia lays there in a deep sleep as her body starts to glow a superbly color yellow. As the color intensifies, Nakia's soul separates from her body and fly's out of the window.. When its complete, the shell of her body stops glowing and Knightmara says in a laughing tone.
Knightmara-AHAHA! NOW, MY SPELL IS COMPLETE! ALL OF THE RANGERS ARE IN, AND SOON THEY WILL BE DESTROYED!
While fighting their new enemies, the Rangers notice the yellow swirling spot of energy floating around.. Soon the yellow energy stops in back of Cosmica and forms into Nakia wearing a long yellow and black dress.
They are all very surprised, and this flaw gives the Gloom Marks an upper hand.. Soon all of the Rangers are struck badly, and one by one they fall onto their backs.
Nakia looks around as if she's totally confused, which she is. The physical part of her body is on the outside of reality, while the metaphysical part of her existence is deep within her own nightmare along with the physical parts of her friends.
Nakia-What's going on?
Cosmica turns around and gasps.
Cosmica-Nakia.. You're here?
Nakia-Yeah I think..
Cosmica-I think you'd better transform.. I feel we will definitely have more trouble
Nakia-Right..
Just as Nakia prepares to transform, a huge bat comes flying out of nowhere and grabs her. She screams out as it takes flight with her. The Red Ranger hops back on his feet and watches as Nakia is carried far away from them..
Red Ranger-NO!
He quickly turns to Cosmica and says frantically.
Red Ranger-You've got to follow them! Please!
Cosmica-I will..
Red Ranger-We'll follow you as soon as we can. We have a few ugly looking things to get rid of first.
Cosmica nods.
The bat is flying through the dark skies as Nakia screams out for help.. And back in the physical world, Nakia's body lays on her bed and begins to sweat heavily.. She grunts and groans out as she feels her metaphysical body within her nightmare being carried away by a huge black bat.
Back in her nightmare.. Cosmica has taken off into the darkened sky. The Power Rangers have regrouped and have attacked the Gloom Marks..
The Red Ranger leaps up into the air and extends his right leg, then suddenly the heel of his boot digs right into one of the Gloom Mark's blood patches.. When the Red Ranger lands, the beast shrieks out and twirls around till it simply vanishes.
Two Gloom Marks have covered the Green Ranger.. They have formed a arm like barrier so that he can't move.. And with him immobile, or so they think, they extend their gross looking slimy teeth and begin to growl.. The Green Ranger then immediately comes up with an idea. With him being in the middle, he decides the simple way to get rid of these two beasts is to simply jump, but if he moves too fast, he'll have to come up with another idea, and quick.. So the beasts make their move and start rushing towards the Green Ranger on opposite sides.. As soon as he believes they get close enough, he leaps up into the air, but oops he made a mistake.. He was too quick.. So what he decides to do now is swift kick the beast on his left side, which he does, and this powerful kick causes it to rush right into the other one, they both take a bite out of each other and start shrieking. Soon they vanish as well as the Green Ranger lands on his feet.
The last three Rangers decide to work together to get rid of the final evil beasts left. The White Ranger stands in the middle while the Pink Ranger stands on her left side and the Blue Ranger stands on her right side. She looks at both of them and asks as two gloom marks come charging at them.
White Ranger-Ready?!
Pink and Blue Rangers-Ready!
As soon as the beasts get close enough, the three Rangers vanish.. They look around in confusion. And before they know it, the Pink Ranger, Blue Ranger and White Ranger end up delivering fierce invisible kicks and punches. The beasts end up hurt and the pain begins to surge through their bodies. They fall onto their knees just a second before the Blue and Pink Rangers reappear standing next to the them, or really they're standing on opposite sides of the Gloom Marks..
Very quickly, they both do very brilliant and fierce back flips, and the swift kicks they give the gloom marks while doing this sends them up into the air.. Suddenly, the White Ranger reappears up in the sky with her bow and arrow in hand.. She then fires two very hot flaming arrows right at the two gloom marks.. The arrows pierce both blood patches on their foreheads and causes them to explode at once.
Grand Master Sinistar becomes angry at the sight of seeing new creatures being defeated so easily, but she still feels she will have the upper hand.
Meanwhile, Cosmica is still following the huge bat carrying Nakia, they eventually make it to a very moist and dark cave that's located buried deep within the bottom of a mountain.. The bat flies deeply into the cave.. When Cosmica gets close enough she lands and stands there to observe the surroundings.
Cosmica-What happened to the city.. It looks so old.. Looks so out of date. My goodness.
The Power Rangers on the other side of the warped town teleport from that spot.. They lock on Cosmica's energy and teleport to where she is. When she looks up, she sees five beautiful streaked beams of light, one red, one pink, one white, one blue and the last green. The beams rest over to where she is standing and soon forms into the Rangers.
The Pink Ranger says when she notices the dark and gloomy surroundings.
Pink Ranger-Oh no.. what exactly is going on here?
Cosmica responds.
Cosmica-That bat went in there.
She points at the cave..
Red Ranger-Well what are you waiting for? Let's go get Nakia.
Cosmica-I sensed something very strange about this.. This isn't real Red Ranger.
He looks at her and asks.
Red Ranger-What do you mean its not real?
Cosmica-I mean it is real, but its not real.
Pink Ranger-Okay so now I'm really confused.
White Ranger-Me too.
Cosmica-Its real to us.. But there's a magical evil essence surrounding us. In reality its making it seem real, but its really not.. Someone is controlling these events.
Blue Ranger-Who?
Cosmica-I don't know.. But I do believe I have an idea.
Red Ranger-We have to get in there and find Nakia..
Cosmica-You're right Red Ranger, but listen to me. We may be able to save her but we'll be stuck in this place for a long time.
The Pink Ranger suddenly remembers..
Pink Ranger-Hey! We're in a nightmare.. Nakia's nightmare..
They all look at her.
Blue Ranger-Hey, yeah..
Pink Ranger-So that means Nakia has to be controlling the events here, right?
Cosmica shakes her head.
Cosmica-I don't think she's controlling the events.. I think she's just handling them.. I think the evil forces have forced these events into her mind..
They all gasp..
Green Ranger-So how do we stop it?
Cosmica-Only one way.. We have to get through to Nakia and wake her up.
Red Ranger-But she's already awake.
Cosmica-No. With her being here I believe its only the metaphysical part of her existence. So from here.. We have to try and wake her up.
White Ranger-But how?
Cosmica-Just like in a nightmare, when the most crucial part shows itself, the person having the nightmare will wake up instantly.. But.
Red Ranger-But what?
Cosmica-The evil forces, im sure wont allow that to happen.
Blue Ranger-Oh man we're really stuck.
Cosmica-Hmm..
They continue to think as something you don't expect happens.. The reality of their world returns to normal.. The reason it changed was to get the Rangers inside of Nakia's nightmare.. And now that they're all inside, there's no need to keep their reality the way it just was.
Jeremy witnesses this and becomes astounded.
Jeremy-Hey, where is everyone..
He types up the information into his computer and attempts to search for his friends, but to his dismay, no results return, at least not the results he wanted.
Jeremy-The entire city has changed back. Hmm..
He stops to think for a minute, then decides if he's going to be of any help, he has to call on Todd and his friends. But before he does that.. He teleports out of the weather station and reappears right in front of Nakia's house.. It looks like nothing has happened. Its just plain like normal.
He walks up through the gate and to the front door entrance, and when he knocks he gets a huge shocking result..
Jeremy-UGHH!
He pulls back and rubs his hand.
Jeremy-Ah man, that's not good.
Jeremy leaves and returns to the weather station. He then types up the information he knows and pin points the Ranger's energy trails they left when they took off to find Cosmica and Nakia. When the computer beeps he gets an answer. He looks closely as the computer reveals an image that seems strange.. It shows a place that appears to be nothing but a dark empty void..
Jeremy-They must be inside of Nakia's nightmare.. That explains why they're gone and why everything here has returned to normal. Hmm.. But how can I get them out.. Hmm..
He thinks hard, then contacts Todd and the others.. He explains to them the situation and of course they all know about the city and its dramatic transformations. So when they agree to show up, Jeremy uses his computer to lock in on their life force energies and teleports them into the weather station.
Todd is wearing a red t shirt, blue jeans and white sneakers. Kaitlynn is wearing blue jean shorts, a white t shirt with a pink outer shirt and black tennis shoes. Amy, who's very worried and feeling guilty is wearing a blue striped blouse, yellow pants and white sneakers. Marisa is wearing a white dress outfit with shorts underneath and blue shoes, and finally David is wearing a green jersey, black shorts and white sneakers.
They all stand around while Jeremy explains once again what they will have to do in order to save their friends.. Amy steps up and says.
Amy-I shouldn't of gotten that book.. I don't know why I didn't listen.. This is all my fault.
Jeremy calms her down.
Jeremy-We'll get them back Amy. Its Sinistar's fault.. Not yours.
Amy-But if I didn't..
She is cut off due to Kaitlynn saying.
Kaitlynn-Don't worry too much.. We'll get them back like Jeremy said. Okay?
She looks at her and nods slightly.
Todd-How are we going to do it Jeremy?
Jeremy-We've got to get into Nakia's house.. Although it looks normal, it definitely isn't.
Marisa-What do you mean?
Jeremy-I'm guessing they still have a barrier around it. But if we use the storm cells im sure we can break through it.
They all nod.
David-I hope this all works.
Kaitlynn looks at him with worried eyes.
Kaitlynn-So do I.
Grand Master Sinistar watches as she sits on her throne.. Knightmara reappears before her bowing.. She looks down at her and says.
Grand Master Sinistar-You have done well so far Knightmara.
Knightmara-Thank you empress.
Grand Master Sinistar-With the Rangers within the nightmare you created.. Things will be running smoothly.
Knightmara-Yes empress.. The being that carried the Yellow Ranger away will drastically change her and then she and he will destroy the others.
Grand Master Sinistar-You had better be right Knightmara.. I don't want anything to ruin this.. My time for glory is getting nearer and I wont allow any failures.
Knightmara-I won't fail you.. I promise.
Grand Master Sinistar's red dots within the hollowed holes within her skully head begins to glow brightly as everything fades to black..
