Chapter 113 The Secret of the Deadinite Crystal
The Power Rangers are all now sitting on big pieces of bare rock next to the street of where the weather station is located after looking around the entire city of Terra Falls and to their dismay, finding no sign of life at all. As they contemplate on what they should do next their Ranger body suits start to flash without warning. Nakia hops up and says in a panic.
Nakia-What's going on?!
Ryan looks at her, and the others, then he looks at his flashing body suit. The other Rangers become slightly panicky.
Zelda-Oh no!
Kimberly-This is not happening!
Ryan, still looking at his suit cries out because he has a feeling the flashing is telling them something quite negative..
Ryan-NO, DON'T!
A sudden bright split second flash is seen.. When it is no more, the Rangers are found to be in their normal clothes. Nakia exclaims.
Nakia-Damn it! We lost our powers now!
Zelda-I feel so helpless.
Kimberly-Me too.
Joey-There's no one around..
Chet-No life at all..
Ryan punches the ground in anger.
Ryan-I cannot believe this! This is all so overwhelming.
They look at him but say nothing.
Zelda looks up at the gray sky and notices a sphere of white energy coming towards them.. She shouts out and points at the white energy.
Zelda-HEY LOOK!
The others follow Zelda's pointing finger and soon set their eyes upon the white spherical energy. Ryan says.
Ryan-Everyone be on your guard. We don't know what that white ball is.
They all nod in agreement and stand together when they see the white spherical energy stop a few feet away from them.. It sparkles which magically produces a voice.. A voice the Rangers know all too well.
Princess Ariel-Power Rangers.
They gasp with delight.. Kimberly asks.
Kimberly-Cosmica?
Princess Ariel-I am not Cosmica anymore.
They start to feel sad because they know why she's not Cosmica anymore.. Nakia adds.
Nakia-Are you okay?
Princess Ariel-I am fine. But I know you and your planet is not. I have come back from the magical soul fields to warn you.
Nakia-Magical soul fields?
Princess Ariel-Yes..
Ryan-What are you warning us about?
Princess Ariel-Someone I know from my planet was the one who created the deadinite crystal.
Chet-What's that?
Princess Ariel-It is a crystal that has the power to destroy entire planets.
They all say nothing now.. She continues on.
Princess Ariel-The main crystal was forged by a most bothersome evil being who I am very ashamed to be related to. Her name is Andromeda. She is a Princess.. A very evil one at that. She used the darkest spells to complete the main crystal.
Nakia-Why did she send it here?
Princess Ariel-She didn't. In an explosion, the main crystal was broken into many pieces.. One of those pieces fell to earth.
Ryan-The rock!
Zelda looks at Ryan and says.
Zelda-It's a crystal.
Ryan-Um yeah.. It just looks like one.. Or looked like one.. Whatever.
Everyone slightly chuckles at Ryan's confusing statement.
Princess Ariel-Actually the outer shell did resemble your earthly rocks.. That one piece must of shattered here, then formed into a deadinite crystal.
Everyone remembers the explosion of the crystal's outer shell at the weather station.. Joey asks.
Joey-How do you know all of this?
Princess Ariel-Before I was sent to the magical soul fields.. My essence returned to my home planet. My soul was watching over the Queen and the others. That is how I got the information I now have shared with you. When my body was laid to rest.. My soul was sent to the Magical soul fields.
Nakia-Can we reverse what the deadinite crystal did?
Princess Ariel-The deadinite crystal is filled with unimaginable amounts of dark and deadly power.
Zelda-We can't do much as Rangers anymore.. We lost our powers.
Joey-Man this is totally bogus.
Nakia-Everyone on our planet is gone. And we don't even know where.
Princess Ariel-They are all within the crystal.
Everyone gasps.
Ryan-In the crystal?!
Princess Ariel-Yes, everything alive is within the heart of the crystal.
Zelda-We have got to save them.
Princess Ariel-You cannot touch the crystal.. If you do, it will absorb your life energy as well.
Kimberly-We can't just sit around and do nothing.
Princess Ariel-I know.
Nakia-I say we find the crystal and destroy it.
Princess Ariel-Destroying the crystal would destroy all the lives inside of it.
Chet-Oh jeez!
Ryan-We can't destroy the crystal, we can't pick up the crystal! Then what can we do about it?!
Princess Ariel-The only way to save this planet.. Is you all must go into the heart of the crystal. The reason is because it is only apart of the main crystal.. Making it slightly vulnerable.
Nakia-But how? You said if we touched the crystal our life energy would be taken.
Princess Ariel-Yes that is true. But you can still get into the crystal without touching it.
Zelda-Please explain.
Princess Ariel-I do believe you all can transport yourselves inside.
They all slap their foreheads and say together.
Everyone-DUH!
Ryan says with quickness.
Ryan-Wait a minute. We lost our powers.
Nakia-Well back to square one then.
Chet-You mean square zero.
Joey-Yeah, because we have no powers.
Princess Ariel-I don't think your powers are completely gone. I say this because I believe you all attacked the power from the crystal, which in return the crystal might of taken just a small amount of your Ranger energies to boost up its effects.. Therefore causing your planet to die off so suddenly.
Ryan-We did attack the power.
Nakia-Way to lay a guilt trip on us.
Chet-It was our own energy that caused all this mess?
Princess Ariel-Not exactly.
Zelda-We have to find it..
Kimberly-As soon as possible.
Nakia snaps her fingers after a slight second of thinking.
Nakia-Wait a minute. It was in the weather station.
Again without warning, everyone's clothes start to flash.. They look at each other in hopeful delight. The last flash finally reveals itself, and when it disappears, everyone appears to be in their Ranger body suits, helmets as well. The Red Ranger says.
Red Ranger-Hey our powers are back!
Yellow Ranger-This is wonderful!
White Ranger-Yeah!
Princess Ariel-Rangers, find the deadinite crystal and teleport into its heart..
The Rangers look up at the glowing spherical white light and nod.
Pink Ranger-We'll find it.. And get our world back!
Black Ranger-Absolutely.
Princess Ariel-I must return now Power Rangers.. Good luck. And one more thing. There is a possibility that you will need extra power to defeating the crystal's effects.
Yellow Ranger-Thank you Princess Ariel. But what power are you talking about?
Princess Ariel-A new special star power.. I must go now Rangers. May the power protect you.
The glowing spherical white light shoots up into the gray sky and suddenly disappears in a glittery sense.
The Red Ranger says to the other Rangers.
Red Ranger-Hmm I wonder what kind of special star power she was talking about. Hmm. Well can't think on that right now. Come on. Let's go inside of the weather station and find that crystal.
Power Rangers-Right!
Meanwhile, Princess Andromeda's space ship makes it closer to earth but not close enough for her.. She grows tired of waiting to get to the planet, so she says.
Princess Andromeda-Myanthor!
Myanthor responds.
Myanthor-Yes Princess?
Princess Andromeda-I'm getting tired of waiting to get to the earth in my ship.. I want you to send out a fleet of sky warriors.. With their heated wings they'll make it to the earth much faster than we will. Have them search for the deadinite crystal and return it to me!
Myanthor-As you wish Princess. Your will shall be done.
Back on earth.. The Power Rangers have made it inside of the weather station which is as glum on the inside as it is on the outside.. Finally, after going into the main room.. They see no sign of Jeremy.. And no sign of the deadinite crystal either.. But something is there.. Something powerful, yet it is invisible.. They feel their power to be leaving again, and another flash brings their feeling to be true.. Once again they have returned to their normal selves.. That's not all, once their Ranger powers have been exhausted, everyone starts to feel their life energy leaving at an accelerating rate. Ryan gasps for air and tries to speak.. It does no good. Because he's practically choking on his own words. The same happens to Nakia who falls on her side.. Zelda drops like a dead fly, soon to be followed by Kimberly, Chet and lastly Joey.
The gray sky becomes filled with creatures that are basically winged looking gremlins.. And when I say gremlin.. I mean an ugly being covered with black fur and also with long claws, gleaming red eyes and a very nasty attitude. Flying through the gray sky, the winged gremlins search around for the deadinite crystal's radiating energy.
They all sense energy coming from the old weather station in Terra Falls, so that's where they decide to go, with their senses as perfect guides. What I didn't mention is, five winged gremlins are carrying the five lifeless looking teenagers for some puzzling reason.
When they reach the area of the sensed deadinite energy.. The winged gremlins holding the five teenagers drop them to the ground.. They lay there as if nothing in the world could snap them back to reality. But something slightly does.. Kyle slowly wakes up Allright like, but is disoriented. He witnesses all of the winged gremlin landing and walking towards the weather station. He tries to get up, but his body is so badly hurt its no use.
The leader of the winged gremlins who happens to be slightly bigger stops his troops.. He grunts and groans out in their language as if telling them what he's going to do. Soon we all know what he's going to do because he points at the old weather station and makes a gesture of destroying it. His influential power emerges from his gross looking hands and surrounds the entire weather station.. As seconds pass, the power starts to eat away at the old building. When its finally complete, the winged gremlins spot Ryan and the others laying lifelessly where the weather station once stood.. They also notice their bodies glowing into a slight gray with a slight twist. I'm happy to say with the destruction of the weather station, Ryan and his friends grayness begins to disappear.. You see the power from the deadinite crystal still had an effect inside of the weather station, but with it gone, everyone begins to feel better. He wakes up and so do the others.
Ryan looks up and gasps at the horrible sight he now sees before he and his friends. Nakia gasps, Zelda yelps, Kimberly groans out in dismay, Chet and Joey just shake their heads.. Ryan stands up and notices the other teenagers laying on the ground a few feet away from them.
The winged gremlins becomes puzzled and angry because they see no sign of the deadinite crystal, only Ryan and the others.. Immediately they decide to attack Ryan and his friends. Ryan yells out.
Ryan-GUYS! It's Morphin time!
Nakia yells back.
Nakia-But our powers! We lost them again.
Ryan-They can't be gone! I have a feeling if we try, we can transform again!
The others don't argue, they agree with Ryan's statement.. So standing together, they materialize their morphers to their delight.. Ryan says with excitement.
Ryan-Allright! It worked!
He looks at the winged gremlins taking flight and says.
Ryan-And like I said.. IT'S MORPHIN TIME!
With those words said again, everyone swings their right arms around once, then brings their right arms back towards their chest areas.. They touch their color coded stars on their morphers as they say one by one.
Ryan-RED STAR FIRE STORM POWER!
Nakia-YELLOW STAR LIGHTNING STORM POWER!
Zelda-PINK STAR WIND STORM POWER!
Chet-BLACK STAR HAIL STORM POWER!
Kimberly-WHITE STAR SNOW STORM POWER!
Joey-BLUE STAR RAIN STORM POWER!
A blinding light flashes from their morphers and takes them into an essence of a powerful storm. Together they leap upward into the storm and sounds of crashing thunder arises.. The storm releases a severe power onto the ground that transforms into the Red Ranger, the Yellow Ranger, the Pink Ranger, the Black Ranger, and finally the White and Blue Rangers. When their transformations are complete, all of the Power Rangers flip backward once and when they land on their feet an image of a very powerful storm appears flashing with power.
One last flash brings the Power Rangers back to their reality where the battle begins. They spread out so that they'll have room to take down their new threats.
No one notices a tiny sparkling light floating through the gray skies.. It suddenly lands next to an old gray tree that was once brown when it was alive.. The tree happens to be next to where the Power Rangers are fighting the winged gremlins. The tiny sparkling light transforms into a creature like fairy.. Her name is Makozi. She's quite small.. Her hair is pitch black, her eyes are pinkish looking, her mouth is equipped with fanged like teeth and on her back, a couple of sparkling wings. She wears a tiny costume that resembles what a ballerina would wear with black as its dominating color. There she stays afloat watching the battle.
Three winged gremlins are taunting the Red Ranger from the sky.. They keep swooping down on him, then moving upward when he tries to counterattack.. He takes out his blasters and fires a couple of shots at the winged gremlins, they are hit.. And fall right out of the sky next to him.. After getting severely angry, the winged gremlins get up and attack the Red Ranger.. They surround him.. One kicks him in the stomach, and another kicks him in his chest area.. The last one trips him, and right before he hit's the ground.. The three winged gremlins open their mouths and fire out a powerful dark blast of painful fire.. The Red Ranger is hit slightly bad..
Red Ranger-AUHHH!
But still he's not out. He gets back on his feet, then takes off into the air. He gets past the three winged gremlins by simply flipping over their bodies. Once he lands.. He gets down on bended knee and raises his gloved hands.. They begin to glow vastly red.. Now after making fists, he plunges them into the ground as the three winged gremlins make their way over to get him. The power from the Red Ranger opens up the ground and stops the winged gremlins right in their tracks as he says.
Red Ranger-VOLCANIC EARTHQUAKE STRIKE!
With the ground slightly opened.. Molten lava bursts upward and surrounds the gremlins.. It then returns underground where the gremlins are heard screaming till their bodies completely melt.. The ground now closes.
The Red Ranger gets back up on his feet and says to himself cheerfully.
Red Ranger-WHEW! Glad it worked!
The Pink and Black Rangers are standing together.. But are soon separated by several winged gremlins.. The Pink Ranger finds herself surrounded.. She side kicks one in the back and sends it to the ground, she then side kicks another one in its stomach, it falls as well. She quickly gets down on bended knee to avoid being hit by one she just took noticed to. And right when she got on bended knee she jabs another one in its stomach with her elbow, then does a quick floor sweeping swoop to knock another one down.
She gets back up on her feet only to be captured by another winged gremlin who just snuck up behind her.. It takes a hold of her waist with its powerful arms.. She yells out for the Black Ranger..
Pink Ranger-UAGHH! CHET!
She grunts and tries to break free.
Pink Ranger-LET ME GO!
The Black Ranger responds to the Pink Ranger's call after using his power to knock out a few winged gremlins.. He grabs the one holding onto the Pink Ranger and yanks it off of her, he then turns it to him but not before the gremlin has the chance to kick the Pink Ranger in her back.. She is sent rolling away in a high velocity sense on to the ground.
Pink Ranger-UUUGHHH!
The Black Ranger takes a hold of the winged gremlin's neck.. But the beast takes flight with him hanging on.. Yet, the Black Ranger is not intimidated. He says.
Black Ranger-So ya wanna play hard ball eh? Well here ya go!
After saying those last words, the Black Ranger's body suit starts to glow vastly black. He turns into energy that starts to cover the winged gremlin as the Black Ranger's voice is heard.
Black Ranger-ICY SPHERICAL DOME!
The energy completely covers the winged gremlin and traps it within a icy dome..
The icy dome starts to drop out of the sky.. The winged gremlin tries its best to break free but its efforts are useless.. The icy dome hit's the ground and explodes into a huge fiery explosion.. When finished, black energy arises and forms back into the Black Ranger.
Makozi watches in amazement.. She snaps out of watching the battle when she hears a familiar voice only directed towards her ears.
Queen Minerva-Makozi!
She responds.
Makozi-Yes my Queen?
Queen Minerva-Where are you now?
Makozi-I'm sorry I didn't check in with you. I'm on earth.
Queen Minerva-Good. And where's my niece Andromeda?
Makozi-She's not here. But she did send out a fleet of her winged gremlins.
Queen Minerva-That could only mean one thing.. The deadinite crystal has done its job.
Makozi-Yes my Queen.. The earth is looking quite dead. But..
The Queen interrupts her.
Queen Minerva-But what?!
Makozi-There are six beings of power fighting her gremlins.
The Queen becomes frustrated as you can tell when her tone changes.
Queen Minerva-Grrrr! Power Rangers! I thought at least the deadinite crystal would get rid of them.
Makozi-What do you want me to do?
Queen Minerva-Keep spying. No.. Better yet. Since Andromeda's warriors are in battle. I want you to find the deadinite crystal and bring it back here.
Makozi-You're not coming here?
Queen Minerva-No. there's no need to now.. Since the crystal has collected all of the earth's energy. We can refuel our planet. So hurry up now.
Makozi-But what about Princess Andromeda?
Queen Minerva-Tell her nothing if you see her! I want the crystal for myself.
Makozi-As you command my Queen.
Queen Minerva-Hurry back Makozi.
Makozi-With the speed of the intergalactic wind.
Makozi disappears from the scene.
Five hundred years into the past we now go and since its in the past time, the earth of course hasn't been affected by the deadinite crystal's power.. To the land of cawdor.. A slightly hurt being is found laying on the shallow waters of a swampy area. You can't really see the being because its completely dark, but its form soon changes into a young woman with delicate looking bright skin, she also has long dark hair, brown eyes and is wearing a black metallic sorceress gown.
A woman with long blonde hair, and blue eyes comes walking up from the forest area.. She looks like she could be a princess because she's wearing a beautiful white gown with a blue silk lining.. Her name is Kastra.. And as you know Kastra is not a princess, she's a sorceress who happens to have a small house located close to the swampy area. She spots the young woman and rushes to her aid.. But instead of walking into the swampy water.. Kastra raises her arms up into the sky.. They soon begin to sparkle, she then points both of her hands at the woman. A sparkling power emerges and wraps itself around the woman's body. Soon the power disappears along with the woman.. Kastra puts her hands down and goes into her small wooden home. In the main part of her house there are wooden chairs, and a large wooden table. Only one window resides close to the front door. Kastra magically opens up a floor door located a few feet away from the wooden door and walks down into the area.
When she gets off the stairs.. She sees the woman laying on a large stone like case.. She says to herself.
Kastra-I wonder what happened to her.. Hmm I'd better inform Myndor. Perhaps he can help too.
Back to the present day.. The Power Rangers are still fighting off the winged gremlins.. Makozi is flying around the planet in search of the deadinite crystal, she doesn't find any sign of it and begins to wonder why.
Back to the fight scene. The Yellow Ranger swings her left leg around once to knock one winged gremlin to the ground, she then turns and side kicks another one away from her, she then immediately dodges another one who tried to grab her.. When she gets back up she gives it a super front double kick which brings it down immediately. Then something unexpected happens.. Another winged gremlin is diving down towards the Yellow Ranger.. It takes a hold of her shoulders and commences to flying upward.. She lets out a tremendous amount of protesting screams.
Yellow Ranger-PUT ME DOWN! LET ME GO YOU FREAK!
The Red Ranger looks up and sees the winged gremlin carrying the Yellow Ranger slightly away.. He yells out.
Red Ranger-HANG ON NAKIA! I'LL GET YOU DOWN!
He takes out his blaster but she says after seeing him pointing his blaster at the winged gremlin.
Yellow Ranger-NO, RYAN I CAN HANDLE IT!
He trusts her judgment and puts his blaster away.
The Yellow Ranger begins to summon her lightning power without the winged gremlin really noticing or caring because it doesn't know what she's about to do. A cloud appears as the Yellow Ranger continues to summon all of her strength to form as one powerful jolting lightning bolt.. It works, and by that I mean the cloud sounds thunder and very quickly a huge lightning bolt strikes the winged gremlin into a screaming explosive disappearance.. The Yellow Ranger, now free is falling down to the ground.. To stop herself from crashing she goes into cannonball flip mode and ends up landing gently on her feet.
The Red Ranger rushes over to her and asks.
Red Ranger-You all right?
Yellow Ranger-Yeah I'm fine. But I can't help to wonder where all these winged thingies are coming from.
Red Ranger-Maybe they're coming from the deadinite crystal.
Yellow Ranger-You and I should try to find it and let the others finish off those creatures.
Red Ranger-I agree.
They inform their friends of what they're going to do.. And right afterwards, the two Power Rangers start their journey.. They're going to have to look everywhere around the planet if they want to find the crystal, because it can be anywhere.. And in case you're wondering about why exactly the Power Rangers were losing their energy in the old weather station.. The reason is simple.. The deadinite crystal still had a bit of radiating energy in the place.. It has indeed disappeared.
