AN1: Fairy Tail 100 Year quest 109 was released May 31/22 and YES it does show the canon explanation of what Laxus Dragon Lacrima is. My story and explanation were released like over a year before that so obvious I had no idea. Naruto's teacher will not be that Thunder Dragon King so Laxus and his Lightning Dragon Slayer magic will not be connected to that Dragon King. (Although I will point out that God Serena ALSO has a Lightning dragon Lacrima. Just saying.
Yes I know the AN has born reposted but I know people will claim I intentionally changing canon to make Naruto 'special' hence why I will just repost the top one for awhile (so people can see I am explaining a plot point).
Fairy Tail 100 Year quest 115 was released. It showed that God Serena survived and the last three of his Dragon Lacrima-Diamond(stone), Flash(Light), dark (unnamed) along with his established other 5-Lightning (thunder), Cavern (Earth), Purgatory (Fire), Sea King (Water), Gale (wind).
For context in this story God Serena will have refined organ (heart) of the Lightning Dragon King (like Laxus did have in canon) and scales/bones from the other Dragons. Hence his Lightning Dragon Slayer Magic will be in general more effective then Laxus but less than Naruto's (as Serena will have a refined organ rather then just some leftover scales enchanted.) And just because Serena and Kirin (the 5th dragon slayer) have their magic from the "Lightning Dragon King" does not mean that Naruto own (through first generation) Lightning Dragon Slayer magic is inferior (a dragon does not need to be king to be strong after all).
AN1: This might be considered 'filler' (although I don't see it filler) to some but it also explains why Naruto was knocked out for "so long" in chapter 56.
Chapter 57 Hope for the Future
"I got to stop this!" Naruto thought as he funnelled chakra into his kunai and attempted to teleport the beam of energy from the sky.
It appeared to work for abit as the beam seemed to shrink as Naruto diverted the blast to an empty field using Flying Rajin. However soon the beam appeared to have tripled in power and soon Naruto was starting to sweat as he was no longer able to teleport away the beam as it was coming.
"No dammit! What is this?!" Naruto screamed as the beam overwhelmed him and soon enveloped him. The beam zipped past him and consumed Magnolia Town and seemingly everyone in it. The beam secretly absorbed the town and residents and converted it magic which was absorbed back to Edolias.
The beam failed to absorb or convert Naruto due to being a Dragon Slayer but sent him flying at high speed. Naruto zoomed into a nearby mountain and the impact caused the mountain to collapse on him and he got knocked out.
"Dammit I got knocked out. Whatever that beam was sure packed a punch." Naruto mumbled as he opened his eyes and saw he was in a bright room full of light.
"Back into my mindscape huh. I guess I will have to wait till my body wakes up and I can find out what happened to the town." Naruto sighed as he sat down crossing his arms.
"Geez you sure are serious." A young girl voice remarked with a cheerful tone.
"Who are you?" Naruto asked as he was about to turn around to look at the strange voice.
"Can't you tell? Maybe you can sense who I am?" The young girl asked with amusement in her voice. Her giggle showed her happiness.
"Wait this feeling…. Its not magic! Its…! It can't be!" Naruto shouted as he felt a familiar energy when he briefly sensed around him.
'That voice… I don't know it but its like it resounding within my very heart. Like my heart is singing at the sound of her voice?' Naruto thought in confusion.
"Hehe. Can you guess who I am now?" The girl asked with an expectant tone. Naruto could also sense she was kicking her feet waiting for his answer.
"You are emitting chakra! I could sense it from anywhere! But only I and the tailed beasts have chakra in Earthland! Nobody else has it!" Naruto insisted as he prepared to turn around to confront the girl.
"That's true but Hagomoro and Hamura gained chakra by having it passed down to them by Kaguya. They were the first humans…. Well half human hybrids but still…. To have chakra naturally." The girl remarked knowingly.
Naruto eyes widened as he turned around to see a young girl of perhaps 10 years old standing up with a shy smile as she waved.
"You're…!" Naruto sputtered as he looked down at the girl with the widest eyes possible.
The girl smiled at him and put her hand in front of her chest.
"That's right. I am…." The girl tried to introduce herself but got interrupted when she gasped from the embrace.
Naruto seemed to vanish and reappear in an instant that would have made his father-the yellow flash- proud. Naruto knelt down and picked up the startled girl and put her face into his shoulder. He placed his nose into her hair and put both of his arms on the small of her back.
"You don't have to worry about anything! I will always be here for you Dattebayo!" Naruto insisted as he embraced the girl and wrapped her snugly in his arms.
"You know. You really are my papa." The girl noted with a smile before she wrapped her own arms around Naruto's neck completing the tight embrace of father and daughter. AN2:
Naruto took this cue to hug her even tighter and rub her back with his rand hand. Naruto couldn't help but take a whiff of his young daughter hair as it brought out subconscious feelings of paternal love, he didn't know he had inside of him. He knew in his heart he would never forget the scent of his daughter for as long as he lived.
The young girl resisted giggling as she knew it would ruin this precious moment with her younger father who still towered over her young short self.
"I can't believe you are here. You are so perfect I can't even describe it." Naruto mumbled into her hair as he continued to rub her back.
"Haha you still say that Papa even from when I came from. You really don't change much. I guess that's okay to be loved this much by my Papa." The young girl replied sweetly as she snuggled happily into his shoulder.
Naruto didn't know how long this perfect moment lasted but for him even if it was only for an instant it felt like a life time for him. The young girl eventually tapped his arm and Naruto reluctantly pulled away. Naruto however pull sat down and had her sit down not even a foot away so he could keep her in his vision.
Naruto finally got a good look at the girl as before he was so wrapped up in hugging her he didn't have much time to pay attention. The young girl appeared to be at the young age of 12 with long blonde hair that reached her lower back. Her sparkling blue eyes looked at him happily as her mouth was in a warm smile. On her cheeks were two whisker like markings similar to his own with her skin tone being the same as his.
The young girl wore a simple white lace dress that ended at her knees and simply blue laced sandals along with a bracelet on each wrist. AN3:
The girl blushed when he looked at her with the intensity as if she was the sun itself.
"Papa! You are looking at me weird!" The young girl whined with a pout.
'So adorable. She is so cute I can't believe it.' Naruto thought as her pout made her innocent face look even more cute.
"Hmmm. You have the same features as me." Naruto commented as he went into a thinking pose.
His smile turned into a small frown as he started to pierce things together.
"Exactly like mine. Besides the hair shape and length all your features are exactly like mine." Naruto stated in realization as his eyes widened.
The young girl looked down unable to look at her father in the eyes. Naruto could tell his daughter was feeling guilty.
"This isn't your true appearance, is it?" Naruto asked softly feeling a pang of hurt his daughter was hiding something from him.
"… I was hoping you wouldn't notice." The young girl admitted as she sighed.
She stood up and walked over to him sitting a foot next to him. She placed her arms around her knees as she sat with her legs raised up. She had her head pointed down.
"Can you at least tell me your name?" Naruto asked gently as he gently played with his daughter long blonde hair with his fingers marvelling at her hair length and softness.
"…. Kairi Uzumaki." Kairi stated after a moment of hesitation. AN4:
Naruto brought her closer as she let her head rest against her father's arm. Naruto placed his arm around Kairi letting her cuddle into his warmth more.
"Kairi huh. That is what you are going to use?" Naruto mused with a small smile.
"Just my last name. My features and vague answers. I am guessing you are from the future and you can't be too clear on who your mother is? In case it changes the timeline and your existence?" Naruto inquired with a knowing smile.
Kairi looked down before she looked up with her bright blue eyes. She was on the brink of tears.
"Are you mad I can't explain everything to you Papa?" Kairi asked sadly. She closed her eyes unable to look up and see her beloved papa with a look of disappointment in the blue eyes she loved.
Kairi opened her eyes and looked surprised when she felt Naruto place a warm kiss on her forehead and pressed one hand against her cheek rubbing it softly. Kairi felt her eyes droop as she let out a pleased purr of delight. Kairi blushed as she put her hands over her cheeks in embarrassment for acting like a little baby.
Naruto laughed and rubbed her cheeks more enjoying the purrs and happy smiles his future daughter gave him.
"Not at all. I could never be mad or upset with my baby girl." Naruto promised her as Kairi blushed at the look of love her Papa gave her.
"Papa! I am not a baby anymore!" Kairi whined only for Naruto to chuckle patting her head. Her pout did not decrease her cuteness in his eyes.
"I am sure Tou-chan didn't think of this of me but when I look at you, I can only see you as a my child. I don't think you could ever grow up enough to not be my little girl." Naruto admitted with a smile before his eyes widened at what he said.
"I meant Tou-chan and Kaa-chan seeing me a little baby not whatever you think I said!" Naruto stated bashfully waving his arms around.
Kairi couldn't help but giggle. Her loud giggles made Naruto smile as Kairi entire face scrunched up when she smiled.
"I am guessing you can't tell me about your mother or your real appearance as I could unintentionally change the timeline if I was actively looking for your mother to give birth to you?" Naruto asked with a knowing smile.
Kairi blush confirmed his suspicions as she shook her head shyly.
Kairi then crossed her arms with a pout.
"Don't try to bother to guess! Papa in the future specifically created this illusion to counter your abilities! So that way you wouldn't be able to read my emotions using chakra or see through the transformation!" Kairi piped up sternly.
Naruto nodded as he pointed to his eyes.
"I figured as much. The fact you can even hide your appearance at all must mean it's a very caliber transformation. I would have been able to sense through it overwise and if it was any sort of illusion I would have not been affected. Although I guess Granny Tsunade transformation I can't see through but that is a special case." Naruto remarked.
Kairi giggled at Naruto nickname for Tsunade Senju.
"The you from the future definitely knew what he was doing. Even we can't tell her true appearance." Kurama's loud booming voice could be heard from behind Naruto.
Naruto and Kairi looked back and saw the nine massive tailed beasts manifest in Naruto's mindscape. They were all crouching down so they didn't tower over the two humans quite so much.
"Uncle Kurama!" Kairi squealed as she waved happily at the massive Nine Tailed Fox.
"Uncle?" Kurama asked in confusion as he blinked several times.
"Yeah! I know all your names! Especially uncle Kurama! You are all part of Papa so you are my uncles and Aunties!" Kairi stated smugly.
"Hi Uncle Shukaku!" Kairi waved cheerfully at the sand Tanuki.
"Hmmm you don't have us sealed inside so I guess you aren't bad. Better then more of that stupoid fox being in different places." Shukaku decided with an approving nod.
"What did you say? You stupid Sand Racoon!" Kurama growled back raising a fist at the smaller tailed beast.
Before Shukaku could retort, Kairi eyes seemed to grow dark as an ominous aura surrounded her.
"Quiet. Family shouldn't fight. You are both my uncles and that is that." Kairi stated coldly as her presence seemed to omit darkness.
Shukaku and Kurama shout up by pure instinct while the other tailed beasts looked uncomfortable. However, Naruto had a huge grin on his face.
"That's my girl! You might be the first person besides me who can make the Tailed beasts behave! Well, I guess besides old Man Six Paths." Naruto commented as he patted his daughter proudly on the forehead.
Kairi blushed as she shyly cuddled against her father just like a little girl preening at getting attention.
"How adorable. You are a daddy little girl correct? I believe that is the human expression for a daughter who loves their dad so much they are constantly trying to get their attention?" Matatabi purred looking down at Kairi with great interest.
Kairi blushed harder trying to avoid everyone eyes as felt Naruto gently rubbing her hair.
"Hi Aunty Matatabi!" Kairi chanted cheerfully with a wave with her face still red as her dad kept her hear to him.
"Hmm. If Yugito-chan wasn't already dead I would have assumed Kairi-chan would be your daughter with her." Matatabi suggested with a huge grin when both Kairi and Naruto had identical faces of embarrassment.
"That's not funny! Yugito was like 14 years older than me when she died! She wouldn't be my age group!" Naruto commented refusing to admit if he was interested in Yugito or not.
"Pooey! Don't tease Papa like that!" Kairi agreed with a pout.
The tailed beasts gave the humans an unimpressed look.
"You humans and sense of 'age'. Its rather baffling. To use all humans are young so its makes very little difference of a few years for the act of mating." Son stated with a sigh.
Kairi turned to Son with a smile as she gave a slight bow to her head which Son blinked but returned.
"True but humans need to set some rules on what is appropriate in society or we can't call ourselves civilized." Kairi commented with mature expression.
The Tailed beasts blinked at Kairi while Naruto grinned with a happy fatherly expression. Before Naruto could congratulate Kairi Matatabi squealed and picked up Kairi with one of her tails. Matatabi dragged Kairi using her tail and brought her to her head so she could sit down there.
Naruto was about to intervene but Kairi happy squeals and smile made him settle down.
'So, she gets along with the Tailed Beasts like she has known them for a long time. I guess if she is my daughter, I would bring her here or bring them outside so they could get to know each other.' Naruto mused happily. He was rather happy at the idea of the tailed beasts liking his child.
"Hahaha! Your flames are so warm and comfy! Did Yugito-san enjoy sitting on your head as much as I do? Aunty?" Kairi asked curiously from atop of Matatabi head.
Matatabi purred in amusement and her amusement wasn't decreased when Kairi rubbed her head against her own head as it she was fluffy.
"Oh? So this is your daughter Naruto-kun? I would love to guess who your mother is so I could push Naruto-kun to her." Matatabi noted making Naruto roll his eyes.
"No guessing! Bad!" Kairi claimed with a pout as she cutely tapped Matatabi head with her fist making Naruto and Matatabi laugh at her cuteness.
"But I understand trying to push Naruto to your mother could change the timeline and then this cutie won't exist the way she is. So I am willing to wait and see what happens." Matatabi relented with a sigh as she bounced the young girl happily with her tail and patted her on the head with the other tail.
"Thank you!" Kairi chirped politely as she squealed being bounced by the giant Tailed Beast.
The tailed beasts and Naruto let the young girl being played like she was a kitten by the cat like Tailed Beasts for several minutes till Gyuki coughed into his hand.
"Uncle Gyuki!" Kairi chanted as she bowed her head even as she was patted by Matatabi tails.
"Little one. I am glad you are polite and not quirky like B." Gyuki remarked making Naruto smile fondly and Kairi giggle in amusement.
"However, I must know why you are here? Even if you don't tell use your mother, I can only assume there are risks to coming to a time period before you exist." Gyuki remarked with an serious expression.
"Gyuki! I don't care why she is here! She being here is more then I could ask for!" Naruto snapped in annoyance with an annoyed expression at Gyuki who frowned.
Kairi sighed as she tapped Matatabi tail making the tailed beast reluctantly let her go. Kairi leapt off Matatabi's head and landed next to Naruto. Kairi took Naruto's hand with her smaller one and squeezed.
Naruto turned around as his expression softened and he squeezed his daughter hand back.
"Its okay Papa. Gyuki is right. I wouldn't come here if I didn't have a specific point." Kairi admitted as she looked up at Naruto beaming smile with a sad expression.
"Whatever you have to say I will listen. Nothing you can say can upset me. You are my daughter. I will always love you no matter what." Naruto promised as he squatted down so he was eye level with Kairi.
Kairi looked guilty as she pulled away from Naruto's hand and put her hand up so he wouldn't pick her up again.
"I came with a warning. Someday before I am born there will be a time where you think you will lose everything. A time where you will want to give up on everything because you truly believe you don't have a reason to continue." Kairi stated with a dead serious expression. AN5:
The Tailed Beasts looked flabbergasted at that statement while Naruto looked both in disbelief and worry.
"Naruto give up? That is impossible. He hasn't given up despite all the events that have happened to him in his short life." Kurama stated shaking his head showing his belief in Naruto.
The tailed beasts smirked at Kurama as Naruto beamed up at him. Kurama looked away with a grunt when Naruto grinned up at him.
"I know it sounds impossible for Papa so nobody can prepare him for it. However, the time will come so I need to tell you no to give up even if there doesn't seem to be light at the end of the tunnel." Kairi stated seriously as she looked at Naruto directly in the eyes.
Naruto laughed nervously rubbing his head finding the expression on his future daughter abit unnerving.
"I am guessing you can't tell me when this will happen or how I will know to look for it?" Naruto joked although he did look notably rattled.
"I can't however just remember that I am waiting past that point. If you want to meet me again you have to continue to go on no matter what." Kairi explained sadly looking away.
Naruto instantly caught the hidden meaning in her phrasing.
"Again?! You are leaving?" Naruto shouted shaking his head in denial.
"Sorry. I can only exist in your dreams. I can't stay around when you wake up. It doesn't work like that." Kairi admitted looking down at her hands.
Naruto grabbed Kairi and held her in his arms burying his nose into her hair refusing to let her go.
"Then I won't wake up! I don't care! I am not letting you go! I just met you and I can't let you go!" Naruto stated in denial holding her closer as if fearing she would disappear if he let go.
Kairi sighed sadly as she hugged Naruto snuggling into him.
"Its okay Papa. We will meet for real when the time is right. People who are meant to be together will always find each other even if it will take some time." Kairi promised looking up at him with a reassuring smile.
"You are everything I could everything I would want in a daughter and you are telling me I won't be able meet the you that is in front of me for years? That is not fair!" Naruto cried making the Tailed Beasts look down at him in sympathy.
"I am sorry. This is the only way. You won't even remember this meeting either. You won't be able to remember the waring either but it will be engraved in your heart. You will know something compels you to look towards the future. A goal for you to attain so you can continue to walk even if you stumble along the way." Kairi stated to the horrified Naruto.
"No! Its too cruel! Don't leave me! I need you!" Naruto shouted holding her tighter but then he felt Kairi start to emit a bright light that made even the Tailed Beasts have to look away.
"Goodbye Papa. You might forget me but I will always be in your heart. I love you forever and you are the best Papa who ever lived." Kairi warmly told him even as she appeared to turn to light and phrase through Naruto's arms.
Kairi appeared to start to be pulled away even as Naruto ran as quick as he could towards her. However, Naruto couldn't catch her as she turned brighter and brighter.
"Kairi! I love you too! No matter what happens I will meet you in the future!" Naruto promised before Kairi faded away.
All the sudden Naruto and the Tailed Beasts lost consciousness inside the mindscape as their memories of this meeting were erased and they simply thought almost no time passed when Naruto was knocked out by the Anima exploding past him.
"You will forget my Papa but I will always remember this time even as a I go home. When I and my siblings are born, we will be the most lucky children who ever lived to have you as our Papa." Kairi voice whispered as his memories faded away. AN6:
Naruto woke up covered in landslide as he blinked in confusion.
"Why do I feel so sad right now? Its like I forgot something really important?" Naruto mumbled as he felt groggy.
"That's right. I have to fund out what happened to my guild! I can sense a poweful magical signature where the town was! Mystogan! He must know what is happening!" Naruto grunted angrily as he felt angry replace the sadness in his heart.
Naruto instinctively drew on Kurama's chakra and an explosion of chakra blew away the mountain on top of him as a version 1 cloak appeared. He roared destroying the rest of the mountain and he ran towards Mystogan.
In the Future
Kairi opened here eyes as she smiled sadly.
"Till we meet again Papa." Kairi promised as she stretched her sore body.
"Dear daughter. Come here. Your body is sore since only your soul went into the past and went into Naruto's mindscape." A warm adult female voice told Kairi warmly.
Kairi beamed as she ran into her mother's arms blinking groggily. You could not see her mother face, eyes or hair but you could see a hint of a teasing smile on her chin.
"Mama why did you pick Kairi for my name?" 'Kairi' asked confirming it wasn't her true name.
"Because I thought it was cute for my daughter. Knowing Naruto you could be called 'Mudster' and he still would love you but Kairi is a cute alias for you." Her mother joked as 'Kairi' giggled.
"You are probably right. Papa is exactly the same in the past as he is now." 'Kairi' remarked happily.
Her mother smelled her daughter's hair and rubbed her back as she smiled.
"He doesn't change in his heart. He truly loves everyone no matter what. That is why he can make everyone his ally. He can change hearts but truly understanding why lies inside. He is my soulmate and husband and the one I would gladly spend the rest of my life with him." Her mother explained.
It revealed behind the mother and daughter was an older Naruto who smiled at the two of them with pure love.
"Good luck younger me. There is a future for us after all. We aren't alone anymore. Also have fun with multiple wives and multiple children. We can handle it." Older Naruto remarked with a giant grin.
AN2: Yes this is meant to mirror Naruto's meeting with his mom in his mindscape. They are both female family members that meant the world to him. Why wouldn't Naruto freak out and hug his daughter when she is shown to be there?
AN3: Think Kingdom Hearts RECOM Namine outfit but for a younger girl. The bracelets are the ones that Kairi wears in her Kingdom Hearts 3 outfit.
AN4: Not related to Kairi Uzumaki from my Naruto/Kingdom Hearts story.
AN5: The future is bright but to get there Naruto will have to go through more suffering. If it wasn't clear this isn't Naruto only child but as far as Naruto knows (he has no way he will get a harem in the future) this daughter is his only child.
AN6: This was intended to be like Xion's death in 358/2 days and her last moments as she went back into Sora and when Roxas remaining memories of her vanished.
