Chapter 122 Misty Traps
Ryan, Nakia, Zelda and Kimberly are all still inside of Ryan's car.. The misty air has seemed to have thickened even more over the last few minutes. Nakia becomes worried about Brett. She expresses her worries to everyone else in the car.
Nakia-I'm really worried about Brett. Maybe we should try to see if he's out there.
Kimberly adds from the backseat.
Kimberly-How? We can't see a thing.
Zelda comes up with an idea after coughing a couple more times.
Zelda-I know how we'll be able to see.
Ryan asks.
Ryan-How Zelda?
Zelda-I'll use my wind power.
Nakia-Hey! Good idea.
Kimberly-Yeah I'll have to second that.
Zelda coughs again and sneezes three times before she says.
Zelda-I..
Abruptly she's cut off due to the violent shaking of Ryan's car that just began.
Kimberly-Oooo what now?!
Ryan-Ohh man!
Zelda coughs again, and Nakia adds.
Nakia-This is going from bad to worse!
At the old weather station.. Jeremy is getting some weird readings on his main computer. He types in a few commands that give him results of more weird readings. He sighs and thinks.
Jeremy-I wonder what's going on now.. Hmmm..
He continues to try and find out what the weird readings mean. He knows its getting late but that doesn't discourage him at all.
Back to Ryan and the others.
The car has stopped shaking.. And everyone settles down, a bit.. Nakia says with a groan.
Nakia-Oooooohh I think I'm going to be sick from all that shaking.
Zelda adds to Nakia's statement.
Zelda-Well join the club, because I'm already sick.
She coughs again. And says.
Zelda-I'm going to get out now and use my wind power.
Kimberly-After all that shaking, do you think its safe? I mean who knows what could happen.
Zelda sighs.
Nakia grunts because she's getting tired.. She looks out of her window and notices a long black corridor like opening stretching outward with the thick mist providing its barrier.. She says to everyone.
Nakia-Hey, look!
She points at the opening and so everyone looks.
Ryan-No way, this is so weird.
Zelda-It looks creepy. I'm not getting out of this car.
Kimberly-Me either.
Nakia-Hmm. Maybe if we leave we can get out of here.
Ryan-I'm inclined to agree. I really don't want to leave my car though.
Nakia-Okay you chickens. I'll get out and investigate.
Kimberly-Nakia don't.. It could be seriously dangerous.
Zelda-Thanks to our new enemies.
Ryan-No doubt about that.
Nakia starts to open up the passengers side door.. She looks back at everyone and asks.
Nakia-You sure no body's coming with me?
Ryan lets out an exasperating sigh and responds.
Ryan-I'll go babe.
Nakia-Good.
Kimberly looks at Zelda, and she looks back at Kimberly.. They both shrug their shoulders in unison and agree to go out as well.
Zelda-Whatever doesn't destroy us, only makes us stronger.
Kimberly-So true.
They all get out of the car together.. Immediately Zelda raises up her arm to use a bit of her wind power to knock away some of the mist so that she and the others can see a little bit. That tactic was only effective for about three seconds, as soon as they group up together, the mist returns. But I have to say, the opening is still there.
Kimberly-It's getting cold out here.
Nakia-That's probably because its getting late.
Zelda-So, do we walk through the opening?
Ryan-Yeah. But first, we'll need a bit of insurance.
Kimberly-What kind of insurance? As if I didn't know.
Ryan-The one and only Power Ranger kind.
They all nod and agree. Suddenly, right where they stand, the mist begins to thicken up even more.. They move closer to the front entrance of the opening so that they don't lose sight of each other. Ryan stands up front slightly, Nakia is right behind him and a bit to his left, Zelda is on his right side, and Kimberly is standing next to Zelda. He says as soon as he twists his right wrist to bring forth his Morpher.
Ryan-Everyone ready?
They twist their right wrists and responds.
Nakia, Zelda and Kimberly-Ready..
Ryan-Allright then..
They all swing their arms around once as Ryan shouts out.
Ryan-IT'S MORPHIN TIME!
Now, touching the color coded stars right under their storm symbols on their morphers, they shout out one by one.
Ryan-RED STAR, FIRESTORM POWER, NOW!
Nakia-YELLOW STAR, LIGHTNING STORM POWER, NOW!
Zelda-PINK STAR, WINDSTORM POWER, NOW!
Kimberly-WHITE STAR, SNOWSTORM POWER, NOW!
Their morphers produce a blinding flash of light.. Which has now taken us to an essence of the Universe.
Quickly and very sudden, a large red star appears twirling within the essence, when it stops, a burst of fiery flames breaks the red star into red energy comes together to form into the Red Star Storm Power Ranger. There he stands with his suit glowing and flashing with the color of red as he leaps up and twists his body around.. When he lands back onto the floor of the essence, he commences on by doing a couple of back flips. And finally when the power phase is complete, he lands on his feet which sounds a blazing fire storm and causes an image of flames to appear.
Next, a large yellow star appears twirling within the essence, when it stops, a fierce band of yellow lightning bolts strike the yellow star and completely breaks it into yellow energy that comes together and forms into the Yellow Star Storm Power Ranger. There she stands with her suit glowing and flashing with the color of yellow as she leaps up and twists her body around.. When she lands back onto the floor of the essence, she commences on by doing a couple of back flips. And finally when the power phase is complete, she lands on her feet which sounds a thunder clap and causes an image of fierce lightning bolts to appear..
Next, a large pink star appears twirling within the essence, when it stops, a breeze of powerful winds rip the star to pieces of pink energy that comes together and forms into the Pink Star Storm Power Ranger. She stands bravely as her suit glows and flashes with the color of pink. Now, leaping up and twisting her body around, when she lands she continues on by doing a couple of back flips. And when the final power phase is complete, she lands on her feet which sounds a screeching power wind and causes an image of the powerful elemental wind force to appear.
And last but not least, a large white star appears twirling within the essence, when it freezes, a high force of snow tears the star completely apart therefore the pieces form into white energy that comes together and transforms into the White Star Storm Power Ranger. She stands with determination as her body suit sets off a glow and flashes with the color of white. Now she end up leaping upward and twisting her body around, when she lands she continues on by doing back flips. Finally when her transformation phase is finished, she lands on her feet she sounds a snarling snow force and causes an image of a beautiful snow storm to appear.
Another flash of light takes us back to the scene where everyone is now powered up and ready..
In the underground caverns which now provide a base for the evil villains.. Princess Andromeda looks into her mirror to kind of check up on things.. She sees the thick mist doing what its suppose to do. Myanthor clears his throat and asks.
Myanthor-Princess, what exactly do you have planned for the Rangers?
Princess Andromeda-You'll know when the time comes.
Myanthor-But there are only four Rangers caught in the mist.. What of the other two?
Princess Andromeda-Oh yes. I guess I forgot about those two.
She looks at Shyantis and gives her a command.
Princess Andromeda-Shyantis get to the surface and draw out the other two Power Rangers.
Shyantis refuses.
Shyantis-I only take orders from Queen Minerva.
Princess Andromeda-She is resting. So that means I'm in charge.. And when I'm in charge, you do as I..
She points her arm at Shyantis and produces a stinging red beam that fires out from her hand quickly and hit's Shyantis as she says.
Princess Andromeda-SAY!
The stinging beam hurts Shyantis.. She groans out and reluctantly obeys Princess Andromeda. After Shyantis disappears, Princess Andromeda says to herself.
Princess Andromeda-One day I'll be Queen. And that day won't come soon enough! Grrrrrr..
Back to the Rangers.. They start walking into the long corridor and as soon as they're far enough in, mist fills the spaces and traps them within separate spaces.. They gasp.. The Yellow Ranger says frantically.
Yellow Ranger-Oh no! Where did everybody go?!
No one can hear her.. And the same goes for the other Rangers as well.
The Yellow Ranger tries to walk in a direction except for she can't, because its completely dark. She becomes even more frantic, that is till something with a bright power surge strikes her.. She falls on her stomach and groans out in pain.
Yellow Ranger-Uuughh!
The Pink Ranger is coughing and sneezing a bit, but I do have to add she is feeling slightly better. When she tries to walk she sees a bunch of glowing reddish yellow eyes in the pitch darkness.. She gasps.
Pink Ranger-Uh Oh..
The Red Ranger gets frustrated because he doesn't know what happened to everyone else.. Suddenly he gets worried and I say that because the ground under him begins to slightly rumble, after the rumbling stops, the ground cracks as if it was glass. He says.
Red Ranger-This is definitely not going to be good.
Something different happens regarding the trap the White Ranger is in.. Something you wouldn't expect.. A bright lighting doorway opens up to what seems to be a beautiful land on the other side. She of course is cautious, but at the same time she wants to get out of the darkness. She says to herself.
White Ranger-How can it be so bright when it's getting late..
She slaps her helmet on the forehead.
White Ranger-Duh Kimberly.. Evil villains.. It's a trap.
The time now is Midnight. And to soothe your wonderings about Brett.. I have to say his body has been thrown upon Ryan's car.. He's not extremely hurt, but he's unconscious.
Back in Terra Falls, a sleepy Chet and Joey get a communicator call from Jeremy.. He alerts them of a monster attacking the city.. So what do they do? They flip into action..
Turns out Shyantis is attacking the business district of the city.. Not a lot of people are out, but some are, and that's all she wanted so that she won't feel her trip was wasted. Besides all she really wanted was to draw out the two Power Rangers left in the city.. And so she got her wish.
The Yellow Ranger inside of her misty trap, has been presented with a strange looking monster that basically looks like a mix match between a bear, a wolf, and a centipede with a high lighting shine. Another thing is, its totally robotic. The monster introduces itself as the Yellow Ranger materializes her Thunder Bow.
Shinelybot-I am Shinelybot.. And I'm going to send you to a bright lightness of obvilion Yellow Ranger!
The Yellow Ranger says fiercely.
Yellow Ranger-Oh yeah? We'll see about that!
She leaps up and prepares a lightning arrow.. She then fires the lightning arrow at Shinelybot.. Surprisingly, Shinelybot absorbs the lightning arrow and burps.
Shinelybot-Thank you for that power boost..
He zaps her with a heavy amount of dark electric power in a lighting sense.. She screams out and falls on her back with a hard crash.
Yellow Ranger-UUGHH!
She gets back up and rushes at the monster.. There she swings her right leg around and strikes it in the belly, after that, the monster tries to take a hold of her but she dodges it very quickly and gets on bended knee which now she immediately enforces a floor sweeping swoop that makes the monster fall flat on its face.
Shinelybot-ACK!
The Yellow Ranger now gets back on her feet and is about to move a few feet back when the monster takes a hold of her right ankle. She gasps when he gets on his feet and ends up holding her by her ankle upside down.. Now with tremendous speed and anger, the monster slams her to the ground on the left side, then he does the same on the right side, and he continues to do this for a while..
Yellow Ranger-UGHH! UGHH!
When he's finished, he throws the Yellow Ranger forcefully.. And although she's feeling quite bad, she goes into cannonball mode but backwards, she knows she'll be able to leap off of the other side since she can't get out once she extends her legs again. So when she gets out of cannonball mode, she extends her legs and pushes off from the other side very quickly. Her body suit glows vastly yellow and soon she forms into a super powered up lightning bolt.. That lightning bolt fires grandly and rips through the monster's body with high velocity speed. He screams out and says.
Shinelybot-AHH! TOO MUCH POWER! TOO MUCH!
His body starts to surge heavily, and as soon as the yellow lightning bolt forms back into the Yellow Ranger, which now she's a few feet in front of the beast on bended knee, his body explodes into a very high explosion that destroys the misty trap that held the Yellow Ranger.. Now she gets back up and sees everything is back to normal, so to speak.
She looks around.
Yellow Ranger-Hmm.. I wonder where everyone else is.
She spots Ryan's car and sees Brett laying ontop. She gasps and rushes over to him.
The ground under the Red Ranger within his trap because to break apart seriously.. He ends up falling but he catches himself by holding on to the left side of the broken ground. Angry energy is below him, screams of pain and torture are also heard.. Even a familiar voice is heard within the large opening that wants to devour him.
Fake Nakia Voice-Ryan. Help me! I feel down here.. Please, save me!
He gasps and exclaims.
Red Ranger-Nakia! Oh no! Babe!
Fake Nakia Voice-Please help me.. Please..
He starts to let go because he believes Nakia is really down there, that is until something snaps inside of him, in a good way.. He decides to ask the voice a question.. A question only the real Nakia would know the answer too.
Red Ranger-Nakia!
He grunts and groans while trying to keep himself steady.
Red Ranger-What did you do with what I got you for our six month anniversary?!
The voice doesn't answer him.. It keeps on saying.
Fake Nakia Voice-Please, Ryan Help me..
He says seriously.
Red Ranger-ANSWER THE QUESTION!
The voice responds.
Fake Nakia Voice-I didn't do anything with what you gave me..
Red Ranger-WHAT DID I GET YOU?!
Fake Nakia Voice-Uhh.. It slips my mind right now.. But I do know I liked it a lot.
Red Ranger-YOU DON'T REMEMBER?!
Fake Nakia Voice-Um, it was a pair of nice shoes.
Red Ranger-WRONG ANSWER!
He manages to pull himself up just when the voice takes a severely angry tone.
Voice-NO! YOU'RE NOT GOING ANYWHERE RED RANGER!
When he's safely up.. Which I used the term safely loosely because the little ground he's on starts to crumble.. Quickly he takes out his star laser pistol and fires a hefty amount of shots down into the opening.. He now hears a scream coming at him like a whinny ghost.. Soon the evil power dissipates and the ground closes.. After all of that, the Red Ranger finds himself out of his misty trap. He sees Brett being helped back on his feet thanks to the Yellow Ranger. He quickly makes tracks to get to both of them..
The Pink Ranger is maneuvering out of the invisible beasts way who are trying to strike her.. The only thing like I said before she can see of them, are their yellow reddish eyes. She hears growling and doesn't pay much attention to them since she's coughing again, and this time her sneezing is like three times worse.. Every time she sneezes, a bit of her germs make their way through her helmet's mouth piece.. Those same germs end up on the invisible beasts. So after a few seconds they becomes disoriented because the germs have taken affect.. Although they are invisible except their eyes, the germs have managed to get into their bodies to do what they are meant to do. The Pink Ranger laughs when the beasts start sneezing heavily and she notices their eyes turning grayish like. She says.
Pink Ranger-Ha ha! Looks like you all caught my cold!
And with those last words, she sneezes again..
She decides to materialize her wind javelins to twirl around to make the beasts even more disoriented. It works nicely and also makes the invisible beasts disappear which fortunately releases her from her misty trap. She sees the Yellow and Red Rangers helping Brett.. And so she dashes off to see if Brett is really Allright.
The White Ranger is being enticed by beautiful looking trees, lovely music, and a happy surrounding.. She starts to wonder if she goes into the light opening will she really be back in her own world.. Suddenly a tall handsome muscular tanned man wearing just a loin cloth comes towards her.. He extends out his arm and opens his hand to try to guide the White Ranger into the light opening.. At first she's completely dazzled by him because he looks so darn good. But then she starts to think.
White Ranger-This can't be real.
The man says nothing. He just gives her a warm smile and gestures for her to come into the light opening. She now refuses, reluctantly, but she refuses.
White Ranger-I'm not going in there..
The man's face turns demonically wicked.. And by that.. I mean his face turns ugly, blackly burnt, large yellow eyes with pitch black pupils, and two dark horns coming from out of his forehead.. She says disgustingly.
White Ranger-Eww. Major face lift needed!
The manly demon growls at her.. So she brings forth her snow staff and as it glows brightly white, she points it at him and sends out a powerful snow energy blast that dissolves him with quickness. And with him gone, the White Ranger finds herself no longer within the misty trap..
Within the business District, both the Black and Blue Rangers are doing everything they can to stop Shyantis' attacks.. Unfortunately she proves to have the upper hand.
Growing angry yet she appears to be calm, Princess Andromeda says nothing about the Rangers escaping her misty traps.. She sighs and still decides to say nothing..
Back to the fight.. Shyantis grabs the Blue Ranger and slings him down to the ground with harsh anger.. He groans out.
Blue Ranger-UUGGHH!
She attempts to catch the Black Ranger but he's too quick. He just leaps up back flips his body therefore the low heel of his boots strike Shyantis in her face.. She is pushed back a bit from the attack but catches her grip.. She growls.
Shyantis-GRRRR!
The Black Ranger lands on his feet and goes over to help the Blue Ranger back up.
Black Ranger-You Allright?
Blue Ranger-Yeah I think so.
They both prepare themselves since Shyantis is readying an attack.. She holds up her arms and says as a green concentration beam emerges from her arms and takes a hold of both Power Rangers at once.
Shyantis-Ahh, you'll never break free from my biting grips Rangers! Hahaha!
Now you'll understand the meaning of her bitting grips, and by this I mean.. The concentration beams have their hold on both Rangers.. And now those same beams bring forth a shocking green surging power that envelops both of the Rangers.. They scream out in pain while feeling the surges literally biting them.
Black Ranger-AAAAAAHHHHHH!
Blue Ranger-AAAAAHHHH! OH MAN!
Shyantis-Hahahaha!
The two continue to struggle against their binds as everything fades to black..
