Chapter 124 The Falling Star
Princess Andromeda sits in a dingy slightly dim area away from the rest of the evil court, she has zapped up another dress suit similar to the one that was destroyed by the Red Ranger's attack.. She takes out her mirror and looks into it.. It shows her an image of the Rangers talking about how similar her looks are to Princess Ariel's.. She overlooks the subject very slightly of which the Rangers are discussing and brings up images of their awesome powers.. She then says to herself.
Princess Andromeda-I'll get my revenge and then I'll get the respect I so greatly deserve.
The day begins in Terra Falls. Nakia is just walking out of the bathroom wearing a robe because she just had taken a shower.. She goes into her room to find what kind of clothes she wants to wear today. While she's digging through her closet, her phone rings. She stops searching to answer it.
Nakia-Hello?
It's Kimberly.
Kimberly-Hey Nakia. How are you?
Nakia-I just woke up, took a shower. So basically I'm blah.
Kimberly chuckles.
Kimberly-Do you have any plans today?
Nakia-Yeah but only for this morning. I'm going to meet up with my Music Club at the high school, why?
Kimberly-I know you might think this is totally lame.. I'll tell you anyway. Joey wants us to come with him around the city so he can find interesting things to take pictures of.
Nakia sighs heavily in contempt.
Kimberly-He wants us all there to like find certain things for him to snap.
Nakia-I guess I'll go.. I don't have anything better to do after my music club meeting is over anyway.
Kimberly-All right cool.
Nakia-What time anyway?
Kimberly-As soon as your club meeting is over. Everyone else isn't busy.. So we'll just wait for you.. By the way what time is it over with today?
Nakia-11 o'clock.
Kimberly-Okay. We'll pick up at then.
Nakia-Allrighty. See you then.
Kimberly-Bye.
Nakia-Bye.
They both hang up.
To the Queen's main chamber room within her base.. Princess Andromeda has appeared and requests to speak.
Queen Minerva-What is it this time?
Princess Andromeda-I don't want to go behind your back on this Auntie. So I'm coming straight out.
Queen Minerva-Get to the point.
Princess Andromeda-I want to take my revenge on those Power Rangers.
Queen Minerva-You can do that some other time.
Princess Andromeda-No, you don't understand. The time to get them is now.
Queen Minerva-Why is that?
Princess Andromeda-I just know. Please give me this chance to get them.
The Queen thinks to herself.. Her contemplation takes several minutes.. The rest of her evil court along with Princess Andromeda awaits patiently for her answer. She looks at the Princess and gives her answer.
Queen Minerva-I grant your request Andromeda.
Princess Andromeda exclaims with happiness.
Princess Andromeda-Oh thank you.. I won't mess up. I have the perfect idea.
Queen Minerva-Then share your idea with me.
Princess Andromeda-Yes auntie..
She continues to speak on as we move onto the next scene..
The day moves along in Terra Falls.. Nakia has made it to her music club and if you're wondering how, she teleported... The time now is 11 am sharp.. She walks out of the high school building wearing a long yellow dress with flower designs everywhere and yellow low heeled shoes. When she gets to the student's parking lot she spots her friends in Joey's car waiting for her.
Princess Andromeda has explained her plan to the Queen, and so she takes out her mirror and it shows her an image of Nakia getting into Joey's car.. She says to herself.
Princess Andromeda-It's almost time.
By the way Joey's car is big enough to hold everyone.. Ryan sits in the passengers seat, Nakia, Zelda, Kimberly and Chet are all in the back.
The Princess watches them continuously though her mirror and waits till its time to initiate her plan.
Nakia notices Zelda not sneezing or coughing, she asks.
Nakia-Your cold go away?
Zelda-Yeah.
Nakia-That's good.
Joey continues to drive, he ends up taking a long road outward from the city of Terra Falls.. Nakia asks politely.
Nakia-Where exactly are we going?
Joey answers.
Joey-Palmers farm. I heard they have the most beautiful livestock there.
Nakia-If you know where you're going and what you want to take pictures of why do you need us?
Joey-I didn't decide that till later on this morning. I just feel like sharing with you all.. My friends.
Everyone agrees and enjoys the drive..
Princess Andromeda's mirror is still being held up as it is being looked into.. The image of the Rangers inside of Joey's car appears..
Soon they make it to the hinterlands which is simply another word for back country.. They don't see anything except a vast remote looking area.. Kimberly asks.
Kimberly-Joey are you sure this is the way to Palmers Farm?
Joey-Positive.
Nakia-I hope we actually make it there.. Wouldn't want to go through another so called detour.
Zelda-Exactly..
But Nakia spoke to soon.. Something is going to cause them to stop.. And that something has made its way towards earth in the form of a bright hot white beaming star that falls from the sky.
Suddenly crashing into the hinterlands, and causing a mild explosion.. Joey immediately takes notice and stops his car.. Everyone else noticed the falling star as well.. He parks up against the dirt ground and gets out.. Ryan follows and so do the others..
Nakia-Oh no. Not again.
Zelda-Well at least there's no mist this time.
Kimberly-Wonder what was that falling from the sky.
Chet-Nothing good I bet.
Ryan-Let's investigate. Remember everyone, be careful.
They walk away from Joey's car and towards the left side of the hinterlands.. When they reach the large hole obviously made from the falling star, they see its not a something, it's a someone. And that someone is looking painfully bad.. Nakia asks..
Nakia-What is it?
Chet looks at her and responds to that.
Chet-It's not a what.. It's a who.
Nakia-Something that just fell out of the sky is classified as a what, not a who.
Chet-If you say so.
Nakia-Absolutely..
Ryan adds swiftly..
Ryan-Whoooo attitude today Nakia..
He puts his arm around her shoulder.
After a few seconds Ryan breaks away from Nakia and leans down to stare at the figure who I must say is turned around so no one can see the beings face, just the backside. And I do have to add the being is wearing a torn white dress.
The being wakes up after a few seconds and turns.. Everyone gasps with shock.. Zelda says forcefully.
Zelda-Princess Ariel?!
She says nothing.. Her only sounds are groans and moans.. Ryan, Joey, and Chet reach down to help her back on her feet.. Although she's looking quite bad, she's very happy to see them. She says with exhaustion.
Princess Ariel-My friends..
She groans out and falls, but luckily Chet catches her in the nick of time.
Princess Ariel-Thank you.
Chet nods..
Princess Andromeda's mirror is still being held and looked into.. Nothing is heard but an irritated groan because of the newly developed image of Princess Ariel speaking to her friends.
Back to the others.. Everyone is trying to talk to Princess Ariel at once.. She stops them and says.
Princess Ariel-Rangers. I have come back for one reason.
Kimberly-What is it?
Princess Ariel-I know what's going on.. My evil aunt, Queen Minerva is here.
Chet-You're going to help us?
Princess Ariel-I'm going to do what I can..
Zelda-You know. There was someone who looked just like you..
Nakia-Yeah. Her dress was burnt up by Ryan's quick thinking.
The Princess flinches only slightly.. Then she says.
Princess Ariel-That would be Andromeda.
Zelda-She looks just like you.
Princess Ariel-I know.
Joey-Come on, let's get you out of here.
They all help Princess Ariel to Joey's car.. But she doesn't want to get in.. Instead she makes a suggestion.
Princess Ariel-Rangers. I know of a place where you can take me so that I can heal properly.
Ryan-Where is it?
Princess Ariel-It's within the caverns of eternal power.
Nakia-I've never heard of it.
Kimberly-Neither have I.
Princess Ariel-That's because I brought it here when I first appeared on your planet.
Chet-You brought the caverns here?
Princess Ariel-Yes.
She groans out even more in pain.. Joey says.
Joey-We can teleport you there.
Princess Ariel responds in a harsh way..
Princess Ariel-You must come with me!
No one except for Zelda becomes startled at this.. She begins to think and wonder..
Kimberly says to the Princess.
Kimberly-Don't worry, we'll be by your side.. You have done so much for us.
Princess Ariel-Thank you.
Ryan-Kim's right. Just concentrate on your destination and our powers will get us there.
The Princess nods.
So everyone prepares to use their communicator teleports, well everyone except for Zelda that is.. She says.
Zelda-Um I think I'll stay behind. You guys can take the Princess there if you want..
Joey tosses Zelda his keys and asks.
Joey-Will you drive my car back to town then?
Zelda-Sure.
Joey-Thanks.
Zelda-I'll have it waiting for you back at the high school.
Joey-Allright.
The Princess stands slightly in the center as everyone else except for Zelda stands around her.. They turn on their communicators then teleport away from the area.. Zelda watches as the streaked beams of light disappear into the earth's sky. She says to herself.
Zelda-I hope nothing happens to them.
She gets into the car and starts it up but not before contacting Lightwing and informing him of her worries.. She suggests to him that he follow the others just in case something happens. He agrees then disappears. Zelda then turns the car around and makes her way back to Terra Falls.
Ryan and the others make it to a very large cavern that is really dark on the outside, but on the inside its glowing superbly white.. Kimberly says in regards to the bright white light.
Kimberly-Wow I bet the power in there would heal you instantly Princess Ariel.
Princess Ariel-I'm hoping so.
They help her into the cavern.. When they get inside, they notice the white light coming from a specific spot.. Ryan asks the Princess.
Ryan-How far do you have to go?
Princess Ariel-To the end of the cavern.
Princess Andromeda's mirror, still being held captures the recent event.. And another irritated groan is heard.
Back to the cavern.. Ryan and his friends help Princess Ariel to the far end of the cave.. When they get there.. They see a really intense shine.. The Princess says.
Princess Ariel-Please. Let me be now.
They let her go free to walk into the shine..
Ryan says to his friends.
Ryan-Well I guess we'd better go outside the cavern.
The shine dissipates and Princess Ariel's body is healed and her dress looks nicely.. In fact she looks exactly like she did when the Rangers first saw her.
Nakia asks with a smile.
Nakia-You feel better?
Princess Ariel-Oh yes. I feel much better now. Thank you, my friends.
Another bright light appears and forms into a sphere that settles itself upon Princess Ariel's right hand.. She grasps it and forms it into her sword of power.
Kimberly-Oh wow. Now you can become Cosmica again.
Princess Ariel-Yes.
Chet-Tell us, Princess how were you able to leave the magical soul fields?
Ryan-Yeah, we thought you'd always be there since.. Well you know.
Princess Ariel-I was able to come back because I was and am determined to help you fight off the Tentanial empire. I am so very ashamed to be related to any of them.
Nakia-What is the deal with them anyway?
Princess Ariel-Energy..
Kimberly-They want Energy?
Princess Ariel-Yes. Queen Minerva will stop at nothing to get it. It is needed for the Tentanial empire to survive.
The Princess is about to say something else, but something stops her. Well some things stop her.. Everyone sees the winged gremlins coming through the front entrance.. Kimberly exclaims.
Kimberly-Oh no! Not those things again!
The Princess looks at them with ease and reassures everyone.
Princess Ariel-Do not worry. I will take care of them.
She holds up her sword high above her head and shouts out.
Princess Ariel-FOR THE VIRTUE OF HONOR!
The Sword quickly activates.. It creates an Essence of beauty that surrounds the Princess.. A glittering multicolored rainbow of power appears over the Princess as the sword releases its energy.. The energy glides down the Sword till it reaches the Princess and soon it becomes absorbed into her body. Suddenly, her body glows brightly white and causes a beautiful chain reaction of energy that seeps out of the tip of the sword.. The energy swirls around the Princess and slowly transforms her into a warrior.. When complete, the swirling energy vanishes.. And soon the sword releases a powerful and blinding thunderclap that finishes the transformation process.. The Princess has now transformed into Cosmica.
Cosmica steps forward.. Ryan and the others are behind her.. She points her sword at winged gremlins and causes a blinding power beam to emerge.. A few seconds later, the beam decimates all of the winged gremlins at once. The beam disappears. She turns to her friends and says.
Cosmica-That was easy.
Ryan-Totally cool move Cosmica.
Cosmica-Thank you.
Suddenly more winged gremlins show up. Kimberly gasps.
Kimberly-There are more of them..
Cosmica is about to turn to the winged gremlins, but Ryan and the others decide to step up in front of her.. Nakia adds.
Nakia-You took care of the last ones, let us take care of these.
Cosmica says with a smuggish accented tone.
Cosmica-Oh I wouldn't dream of having it any other way, Rangers. You have such delicious powers.
Joey turns and asks.
Joey-Um, why'd you say it like that?
Cosmica straightens up her tone.
Cosmica-I'm sorry. I just.. I don't know.. Forgive me.
Joey scratches his head then turns back to the winged gremlins who are getting closer to them.. Ryan says to his friends.
Ryan-It's time to morph!
They materialize their morphers and begin their transformation sequences, only something stops them.. A bright electrical power surge strikes them all from behind.. They yell out and fall to the ground.
Everyone-UGGHH!
Their bodies are frozen.. Not in an ice sense.. Its just they can't move or talk They are paralyzed. The being who hit them walks in front so that they are able to see.. She leans down and says.
Cosmica-Now I'll definitely get the respect I deserve!
She laughs out loud as her bodily form transforms to reveal her as Princess Andromeda.
Suddenly surges of red energy strike the area next to where Andromeda is now standing.. Those surges of red energy form into Queen Minerva who's holding the evil Princess' mirror. She congratulates her on a job well done.
Queen Minerva-You have done very well Andromeda.
Princess Andromeda-Thank you auntie.
Queen Minerva-Yes, and now we'll drain every last ounce of their Ranger energies!
Princess Andromeda says with less enthusiasm.
Princess Andromeda-Um auntie..
Queen Minerva-What?
Princess Andromeda-There's another Ranger out there.. She didn't want to come along.
Queen Minerva-So what. We have five Rangers at our disposal. But.. If you are able, capture her too.
Princess Andromeda-I will try.
Queen Minerva-Good. In the mean time.
The Queen uses her power to trap the Rangers inside of five separate crystal holders.. Those holders float upward and disappear..
Queen Minerva-Now, the Rangers are back at our base where they will be finished!
Both the Queen and the Princess laugh with evil glee as they raise their hands and a bright red energy beam emerges to take them along with the other winged gremlins down into the heart of the ground where they will disappear and reappear within the Queen's base. They hadn't even noticed the little white dove in the upper right corner, who saw everything. He soon disappears.
