Chapter 127 Ryan's Addiction Part 1
Feeling sorry for himself.. Ryan takes some time to think about things concerning how he feels.. The sun begins to set as the time 8:30p.m arrives.. He drives over to one of the biggest stadiums in Terra Falls. He gets out of his car and walks over to the really high and large bleachers.. He sits at the bottom and just thinks to himself.
Ryan-Man I feel so weak. I never felt like this before. I don't know what to do. I let everyone down I bet.
At the weather station, a yellow beam of streaking light makes its way through the station's ceiling, when it hit's the floor it transforms into Nakia.. She asks Jeremy a question.
Nakia-Jeremy do you know where Ryan is?
Jeremy responds after typing up something on his computer.
Jeremy-No. Is there something wrong?
Nakia-Yeah. He's feeling depressed. I went over to his apartment and found no sign of him.
Jeremy-Hmmm.
Back at the stadium.. Ryan thinks out loud now in a battle of positive and negative thinking.
Ryan-Woo hoo.. Yeah me. A great football player.. Yeah right. I'll never make the semi pro team which means I'll never ever be apart of a pro team. I'm a weak nobody. I wish I could find a way to be stronger! Then maybe, just maybe I'll feel better.
He sighs very heavily.. Ryan doesn't realize it, but he's being watched..
Queen Minerva snickers at his obvious depression.. Her entire evil court waits for her to speak to them.. When she does, she says.
Queen Minerva-The Red Ranger wants to find a way to become stronger does he.. Hmm.
She is interrupted by Shyantis who had just appeared before her throne.. She asks.
Shyantis-Your highness.. I am back and fully rested.
The Queen looks at Shyantis and responds.
Queen Minerva-You are not needed for this assignment Shyantis.
Shyantis-No?
Queen Minerva-No.
Shyantis-I'd like to help out our cause.
Queen Minerva-Then you will be summoned when the time is right. For now, be gone.
Shyantis nods and says.
Shyantis-As you wish.
She disappears.
The Queen calls for Muscularr, when he appears she speaks to him.
Queen Minerva-Muscularr I have observed the Red Ranger and I have a new idea.
Muscularr-Yes, my Queen?
The Queen rubs the top of her crystal ball with her hand and causes it to glow superbly, when the glowing stops, a large red orangish looking pill emerges and floats over to Muscularr. She says to him sharply.
Queen Minerva-Take it!
He immediately obeys.. She then continues on.
Queen Minerva-You will give this to the Red Ranger in just a few minutes. Once you give it to him, it will cause his body to change for the better, or at least he'll believe so and everyone else around him. I will give you a pill each day to give to him. He will become dependant on it haha. And after about the 3rd day, his body will collapse and go into a deep sleep that will enable me to use his shell of a body as a host.
Muscularr-A host?
Queen Minerva chuckles.
Queen Minerva-A host for delicious energy. You see, when he's down and out so to speak his body will become an epiphany of energy draining. When his body has enough energy I will collect it and he will die. I didn't think of it till now. The Red Ranger's silly self pity has sparked that marvelous idea.. Unfortunately he won't know it till its too late.. Haha.
Muscularr-I will need a disguise.
Queen Minerva-Already anticipated.
She points her hand at him and fires out a red sparkling beam that changes him into a normal looking man.. He's wearing a long trench coat and a dingy looking hat.. The beam retracts back to the Queen.. She looks him over.
Queen Minerva-Now you're ready..
She zaps Muscularr out of her command base..
Back at the old weather station.. Jeremy has scanned all throughout the city for Ryan's whereabouts, he finally finds him at the stadium.. Both he and Nakia see Ryan talking to someone in a trench coat. Nakia asks.
Nakia-Who's that?
Jeremy-If I knew I would tell you.
They witness the two talking for a few minutes, then they see the certain someone give Ryan something. He takes it.
Nakia-Hmmm.
Jeremy-What do you think?
Nakia-I think I'm going to teleport to him..
Jeremy-Great idea.
The certain someone who happens to be Muscularr in disguise leaves the area.
Nakia touches the yellow star on her communicator and soon her body begins to change into a sparkling yellow beam that eventually shoots upward and hit's the ceiling.. It then disappears.
Seconds later, at the stadium, Ryan notices the yellow beam streaking through the already darkening sky.. He knows who it is and quickly hides the pill. When the beam gets close enough to him, it moves downward and forms back into Nakia. She looks at him and asks.
Nakia-Ryan what just happened here?
Ryan pretends he doesn't know anything.
Ryan-Huh, what do you mean?
Nakia-I mean.. Jeremy and I were watching you from the weather station. We saw..
Before she can say another word.. Ryan blows up at her full force.
Ryan-WATCHING ME!? WHAT FOR?! HUH?!
Nakia looks at him with shocking eyes.
Nakia-I'm worried about you.
Ryan scoffs.
Ryan-Worry about someone else. I'm fine Nakia.. Just fine.
Nakia-No you're not. I know why you're acting like this.. You don't think your good enough to even try out for the semi pro football team.
Ryan-Who cares about that.
Nakia-You do. And I'm here to support you.
Ryan-I don't need it. I'm fine like I said.
Nakia-Ryan please.. I think you're having an inferiority complex.
Ryan looks directly into her eyes and says.
Ryan-No. I'm not. I said I'm fine. I don't know how many times I have to say it for you to believe me.
Nakia-If you are so fine Ryan, then give me what whoever gave you.
Ryan-Huh? I don't know what you mean.
Nakia shakes her head and says.
Nakia-You're turning into a liar.
Ryan-Whatever, you think you understand but you don't.
Ryan turns his head to take the pill instantly.. Nakia gasps.
Nakia-What, what are you doing?!
She turns him around only to find him swallowing the pill.
Nakia-Ryan what was that?!
Ryan-Nothing.
Nakia-Please tell me!
Ryan-It was nothing..
Nakia-Tell me! I mean it!
Ryan-Calm down.
Nakia-I am so worried about you. I am very deeply worried. Can't you see that?!
Ryan says nothing.
Nakia-Was it drugs?
Ryan yells again defensively.
Ryan-IT WAS JUST SOMETHING TO HELP ME OUT ALRIGHT?! YOU HAPPY YOU KNOW NOW?!
Nakia-Help you how?
He calms down and decides to speak the truth.
Ryan-Help me feel stronger.. Help me be stronger.
Nakia says with pure shock and fear.
Nakia-You took drugs! Oh my god! Ryan!
Ryan-It..
She interrupts him abruptly.
Nakia-Are things that bad Ryan? Are they?
Ryan-You don't understand.
Nakia-I do understand! I want to help you! I love you, damn it! And you know I do!
Ryan-I already got the help I need Nakia. So just calm down.
Nakia-Taking drugs is wrong! And not only that, its also deadly!
Ryan-Hey I'm still here.
Tears fill Nakia's eyes when she asks.
Nakia-But for how long?!
Ryan tries to cuddle with Nakia to calm her down but she backs away from him in disgust.
Nakia-I can't believe you.. I love you and you do something like take drugs to help you become stronger when you don't even need to be. I feel so bad Ryan.
Ryan backs away and says nothing.. Nakia decides not to say anymore for now.. Instead she just looks at him as he goes to his car.. She sighs and teleports away.
The Next day at the high school.. Nakia walks into the building wearing yellow jeans, a white buttoned up shirt with a blue jean vest and black sneakers.. She's not looking well at all.. She goes to her locker to get the books she'll need for class. Suddenly she hears some cheering coming from down the hall. She glances up to see what its all about.. She sees Ryan, wearing a red muscle t shirt, a pair of blue jeans and his usual sneakers coming down the hall with a bunch of other students.. In fact those students look like they are all into sports.. Nakia also notices Ryan's upper body, which is in fact looking more muscular than it did before.. He doesn't even notice her, he just walks right past her along with the cheering students.
She goes back to looking for the necessary books she'll need. Someone taps her on her shoulder which slightly makes her jump.. She turns to see Zelda.. And she is wearing pink jean shorts, a pink top and white sneakers.. Her hair is also up in a ponytail today..
Nakia says with weakness.
Nakia-Hey.
Zelda responds.
Zelda-I came to school early today because I had to meet with my acting class. After that I had some time to kill. So I went outside and saw Ryan and a few other guys playing football. And something strange happened.
Nakia-Which was?
Zelda-He seemed different. He had a lot of strength and power.. He knocked those guys down like bowling pins. It wasn't the fact that he was knocking the guys down.. I know its for sport, but it was like nothing but football mattered to him.. He was quite aggressive.
Nakia says with obvious disgust.
Nakia-Well I'm happy he got what he wanted out of his quick fix.
Zelda-What do you mean?
Nakia-Ryan took something to make him stronger.
Zelda-What did he take?
Nakia-Some kind of drug.
Zelda gasps.
Zelda-What? Not him.
Nakia-Yeah he did.
Zelda-How do you know?
Nakia-Yesterday, Jeremy and I saw him on the main computer taking something from someone. I confronted him about it, but he was like so..
Zelda-This is terrible.
Nakia-I know. And the sad thing is.. I really don't know what to do.
Zelda-I really wish I knew. I'd say keep trying to talk to him.
Nakia-He's going to be like a brick wall now. I can't believe he'd do something like this. I always thought he was the perfect guy.
She turns back into her locker so Zelda won't see her tears starting to flow.. She does realize she's crying when Nakia speaks out in her choked up tone.
Nakia-I love the idiot and I wish I would just kick his butt for taking drugs!
Zelda-Maybe that's what he needs.
Nakia sniffles.
Nakia-I can't.. It was just a figure of speech. I'll just keep talking to him.. I'll try to convince him that I'm here for him.
Zelda-He should know that already.
Nakia-I know. He's being a jerk now.
The girls continue to talk..
Meanwhile, outside of the school in the back actually.. Ryan is walking and feeling very good and strong.. He notices the same person who talked to him just yesterday walking towards him. They both stop.. Ryan looks directly at the trench coat person and asks.
Ryan-What are you doing here?
Muscularr in disguise-I thought I'd bring you some more of what I gave you yesterday.
Ryan-I don't need anymore. I'm doing fine as it is.
Muscularr in disguise-You may think that now.. But I didn't tell you that the effects wear off in one day and the aftermath could be very unpleasant.
Ryan-What?
Muscularr in disguise-You'll need another pill, soon.
Ryan-Hmm.
Muscularr pulls out another pill and says to Ryan.
Muscularr in disguise-Take it. You'll thank me later.
Ryan thinks.
Ryan-I don't know.
Muscularr in disguise-Just take it.
Ryan-I.. Really don't know.
Muscularr in disguise-What do you mean you don't know?
Ryan-I told you. I feel better now.
Muscularr in disguise-And I told you, you'll need the pill later because you'll be weak again.
Ryan-Hmm.
Nakia and Zelda happen to be at a nearby window that shows them Ryan talking to Muscularr in disguise. Nakia gasps.
Nakia-Oh no! Not again!
Zelda-What should we do?
Nakia-Stop him, before its too late.
But it is too late, Ryan has already taken another pill.. He hasn't ingested the pill, he just took it and put it in his pocket.. Muscularr then walked away to a spot where he disappeared.
Nakia and Zelda come running out of the school to stop him.. He looks at them and starts to look guilty after Nakia stops and says to him.
Nakia-Ryan! No! You didn't!
Ryan says.
Ryan-I have to go.
Nakia-Go where?
Ryan-I have to work out.
Nakia-What? There's school today.
Ryan-So.
They watch him leave in disbelief..
Zelda-I don't believe it.
Nakia-I have to get that pill from him! I know he has it!
Zelda-Let's get it then.
They both start running towards Ryan, but a red beam emerges upward courtesy of Queen Minerva and like a shield, prevents them from chasing Ryan who has now turned to the parking lot.. He doesn't notice a thing. Nakia yells out.
Nakia-RYAN! RYAN!
She gets no answer.. Ryan has gotten into his car, he's now leaving to go work out at the local gym.
Zelda-Ryan has changed..
Nakia-He'll kill himself if he keeps taking drugs!
The red beam materializes four winged gremlins that surround Nakia and Zelda.. They back up towards each other..
Zelda-Uh oh.
Nakia says sarcastically.
Nakia-Yeah perfect timing like always.
The fight begins and its fierce, at least on the good side.. By that I mean, the two girls attack quickly.. Nakia front kicks one winged gremlin so swiftly that its body is flung in mid air and twirls around till it hit's the ground face first. Zelda gets down on bended knee to punch another winged gremlin in its stomach, she then gets back up and takes a hold of its right arm, now she slings the winged gremlin to the ground super fast. The last two winged gremlins attempt to attack with their mouths open so that they'd be able to fire blasts of power, but Nakia and Zelda act quickly, together they give a double powered high kick to the winged gremlins mouths and sends them to the ground in a heaping yell because the kick was intensely painful.
The winged gremlins disappear without haste..
Nakia-Come on Zelda, we have to get to Ryan..
Zelda-Right behind you.
They start running when something stops them, blasts of immense power which causes them to fall..
Nakia and Zelda-UGHH!
Nakia exclaims.
Nakia-THIS IS NOT HOW I WANTED TO START OFF MY DAY!
They hear a grumbling laugh coming from behind them.. They stand up and turn back around to see Muscularr, not in disguise, but in his normal looking way, staring at them. Queen Minerva sent him back to deal with Nakia and Zelda in case you haven't figured it out. Zelda says to Nakia.
Zelda-I knew it was going to get worse.
Nakia-Yeah well it's time to take it up a level!
Zelda nods in agreement.
Muscularr says.
Muscularr-You think you two Power losers can handle me alone?! Hahaha.
Nakia and Zelda materialize their morphers.. Nakia then says in regards to what Muscularr said.
Nakia-Anything is possible!
Muscularr lifts up his right arm and materializes big glowing exercising weights. He then directs the glowing exercising weights at Nakia and Zelda, and before they know it, they end up being hit and knocked down.. The weights are on top of them both literally squashing them.. They yell out.
Nakia-AAAHH! UGHH! GET THIS OFF OF ME!
Zelda-UUHHH! STOP! IT'S TOO MUCH!
At the old weather station, Jeremy gets an alert.. He types in the command that will give him a visual.. When he sees what's going on in the back of the high school he immediately tells Joey who's in one of the rooms working on his portfolio. Joey rushes into the room and sees what Jeremy was talking about..
Joey-Man, that's rough.
Jeremy-You'd better suit up.. I'll contact the others.
Joey-Right.
Joey brings up his right wrist and twists it so that his communicator brings on a bright blue glow that changes it into his morpher. He then swings it around once and brings it together when he shouts out.
Joey-IT'S MORPHIN TIME!
He then touches the blue star on his morpher and shouts out again.
Joey-BLUE STAR, RAIN STORM POWER, NOW!
A bright blue flash from Joey's morpher shines, it takes us to an essence of the universe..
What happens next is this, Joey's large blue star appears twirling inside of the essence. It halts and almost instantly a strong force of rain beats the star till it completely comes apart into many broken up pieces. Those pieces form into bright blue energy that soon come together to transform into the Blue Star Rain Storm Power Ranger. He stands with honor as his body suit glows and flashes with the color blue. He ends his transformation by leaping up and twisting his body around, when he lands he does several back flips.. And when he's finished, he lands on his feet which sounds a force of beating rain and causes an image of a powerful rain storm beating upon the earth to appear.
Another blue flash appears which takes us to Jeremy and the Blue Ranger has teleported to go help out his friends.. Jeremy is trying to contact Ryan, but he gets no response.. The reason why is.. Ryan is working out and he took off his communicator which is now sitting in the back seat of his car.. Jeremy contacts Kimberly who's sitting in the middle of her algebra class at the high school. She's wearing a long white dress with white low heel shoes.. When her communicator beeps, other people in the class room notice, even the teacher who clears his throat because his lecture was interrupted. Kimberly sighs and says to the teacher.
Kimberly-I'm sorry but I have to go.
She gathers up her book bag and starts for the door, at the same time she continues to say.
Kimberly-I know this probably means detention so I'll serve it some time this week.. Okay.. Cool.
She leaves the teacher in mere shock, he doesn't know what to say.. That is till he starts thinking about his lecture again.
Anyway, Kimberly makes it down the hall.. She finds an empty classroom and opens the door.. When she closes it, she answers her communicator.
Kimberly-What's up?
Jeremy responds.
Jeremy-Kim there's trouble right in back of the high school.
Kimberly-Okay.. I'll suit up.
Jeremy-And I'll contact Chet.
Kimberly-Alright.
She turns off her communicator.
She brings up her right wrist and twists it so that a white sparkling glow appears and changes her communicator into her morpher.
She then swings her right arm around once to bring it together as she says with force.
Kimberly-IT'S MORPHIN TIME!
She touches the white star on her morpher and continues to say.
Kimberly-WHITE STAR, SNOW STORM POWER, NOW!
A white power flash takes us to yet another essence of the universe.
Now, Kimberly's large white star appears twirling within the essence, when it freezes, a high force of snow tears the star completely apart therefore the pieces form into white energy that comes together and transforms into the White Star Snow Storm Power Ranger. She stands with determination as her body suit sets off a glow and flashes with the color of white. Now she end up leaping upward and twisting her body around, when she lands she continues on by doing back flips. Finally when her transformation phase is finished, she lands on her feet she sounds a snarling snow force and causes an image of a beautiful snow storm to appear.
Chet has gotten the call from Jeremy, so he transformed.. And now a white flash of power takes us back to where Nakia and Zelda are.. Unfortunately they are still stuck in their bind.. And the Blue Ranger is getting badly beaten..
Suddenly, the White and Black Rangers flip into action.. They go into cannonball mode and land next to Nakia and Zelda.
The two Rangers are trying to get the weights off of their friends, but Muscularr takes a hold of the Blue Ranger's neck area.. He holds him up in mid air, then turns to the other two Rangers and fires a powerful blast at them.. They end up being hit badly..
White and Black Rangers-UUUGGGHHH!
They fall to the ground..
The Blue Ranger breaks Muscularr's grip on his neck.. He falls on his back and gasps for air.. Muscularr charges at him, but he gets back up and takes out his star laser pistol.. He fires many shots of his blue acid rain power into Muscularr's body.. It stops the beast and causes him to fall.. Now he's screaming out in pain because the blasts of acid rain power is stinging him.
Muscularr-AAAHHHHHH!
With this weak moment for Muscularr, his weights on Nakia and Zelda let up and disappear.. The two catch their breath.. The Blue Ranger rushes over to them to help them all back on their feet..
Nakia asks rhetorically.
Nakia-Now where were we..
Both Nakia and Zelda stand before their friends.. They swing their right arms around once as Nakia shouts out.
Nakia-IT'S MORPHIN TIME!
Now, Nakia touches the yellow star on her morpher and Zelda touches the pink star on her morphed as they say one at a time.
Nakia-YELLOW STAR, LIGHTNING STORM POWER, NOW!
Zelda-PINK STAR, WINDSTORM POWER, NOW!
A blinding flash of power takes us to the universal essence once again.
Next, a large yellow star appears twirling within the essence, when it stops, a fierce band of yellow lightning bolts strike the yellow star and completely breaks it into yellow energy that comes together and forms into the Yellow Star Storm Power Ranger. There she stands with her suit glowing and flashing with the color of yellow as she leaps up and twists her body around.. When she lands back onto the floor of the essence, she commences on by doing a couple of back flips. And finally when the power phase is complete, she lands on her feet which sounds a thunder clap and causes an image of fierce lightning bolts to appear..
Next, a large pink star appears twirling within the essence, when it stops, a breeze of powerful winds rip the star to pieces of pink energy that comes together and forms into the Pink Star Storm Power Ranger. She stands bravely as her suit glows and flashes with the color of pink. Now, leaping up and twisting her body around, when she lands she continues on by doing a couple of back flips. And when the final power phase is complete, she lands on her feet which sounds a screeching power wind and causes an image of the powerful elemental wind force to appear.
Another flash takes us back to the now powered up and ready Yellow and Pink Rangers, along with their other Ranger friends standing beside them..
Muscularr gets back on his feet and begins charging at the Rangers.. The Yellow Ranger gives out a command..
Yellow Ranger-LET'S SEND THIS CREEP BACK TO WHERE HE CAME FROM! STORM FURY ATTACK NOW!
Everyone agrees and leaps up into the sky as streaking beams of light.. Those beams enter the clouds and soon they are heard rumbling. Muscularr looks up in puzzlement.
Muscularr-Huh?!
The clouds produce a huge powerful circular energy cyclone.. Inside of the energy cyclone are obvious surges of powerful yellow lightning, pink wind, white snow, black ice and blue rain.
The cyclone takes Muscularr and twists his body into an explosive oblivion. When it dies down, the energies form back into the Yellow Ranger, Pink Ranger, White Ranger, Black Ranger and Blue Ranger.. They are surprised to see Muscularr has survived the fierce attack although it appears he is severely wounded from it.
Black Ranger-Damn! Our attack didn't finish him!
Pink Ranger-Only wounded him.
Yellow Ranger-Because we aren't at full strength.
White Ranger-We need Ryan's power too to take him out completely.
Blue Ranger-Yeah. I wonder where he is.
Once again Muscularr vows to get even and disappears.
The Power Rangers all power down.. Nakia explains about Ryan to Kimberly, Chet and Joey and so they all decide to go to the local gym to try and talk some sense into him.
Speaking of Ryan.. He's lifting weights, but something just overcame him.. A feeling of tremendous weakness.. He starts to feel really dizzy and nauseated too. He says.
Ryan-Oh man that first pill didn't last very long.. I gotta take the second one.
He digs in his pocket to find it just when his friends walk into the gym.. Nakia screams out at him because she assumes he's digging for the pill and of course she's right.
Nakia-RYAN!
They rush over to him when everything stops.. And fades to black.
