Chapter 128 Ryan's Addiction Part 2
Nakia, Zelda, Kimberly, Chet and Joey rush over to Ryan who's about to take the second pill Muscularr in disguise gave him. Without delay, Nakia snatches the pill from Ryan's hand.. He screams out in utter anger.
Ryan-WHAT DID YOU DO THAT FOR?!
Zelda and the others stand in front of Nakia so that she may have time to dispose of the pill. Ryan gets up from the weight lifting bench and pushes them out of the way.. He yells out again when he sees Nakia gone.. So what does he do? He leaves in a rush to find her. Although he tries his best, his body is weakening more and more, therefore causing him to stop and fall on the ground. His yells turn into tiny sounds of pain simply because the side effects of the pill are ravishing his body in a most unpleasant way.
Queen Minerva watches Ryan laying on the sidewalk.. She growls in exasperation..
Queen Minerva-He must have the second pill!
She screams out directly to her evil court.
Queen Minerva-SEND THE WINGED WARRIORS AFTER THE YELLOW RANGER, HAVE THEM GET THE PILL BACK! AND SEND MORE TO KEEP THOSE OTHER RANGER RATS BUSY!
Her orders are immediately obeyed.
Zelda, Kimberly, Chet and Joey run outside of the local gym, they find Ryan laying on the sidewalk.. His body is looking worse by the second.. They all gasp and become really worried.. More worried than before.
Kimberly-We have to get him to the hospital!
Zelda-We'll teleport him to Terra Falls General.
Chet-Yeah.
Ryan rejects after hearing what his friends say. His words come out in protesting groans. He does manage to make one word make sense and that's.. "Pill."
They are about to teleport him to the hospital when all of a sudden, a burst of dark smoke arises.. Once the smoke is out of the way, the presence of the winged gremlins are revealed.
Kimberly-Oh no, not again!
Zelda-We don't have time for this! Ryan needs help!
Chet comes up with an idea and says it to Zelda.
Chet-Joey and I will handle the winged warriors, you two get Ryan to the hospital quick.
Zelda-Alright, be careful.
Chet nods.
Zelda and Kimberly get down on bended knee right next to Ryan's laying body.. They activate their communicators which quickly causes them all to sparkle with the colors of Pink, Red and White. Then after a few very brief seconds, the sparkles turn into beams of streaking lights that shoot upward into the sky and disappear.
The battle begins for Chet and Joey..
Meanwhile, Nakia has ran all the way to the Karate shop.. She runs out of the breath so she relaxes for a minute. She doesn't notice Brett till he sees her and approaches her outside.. He's wearing his white karate uniform.. He says to her which startles her when she turns around to see if Ryan is anywhere nearby.
Brett-You alright babe?
Nakia catches her breath..
Nakia-No I'm not.
Brett-What's wrong?
Nakia-It's Ryan. He's..
She's stopped when a band of winged gremlins show up in the heart of the sky. She says in total exhaustion.
Nakia-Ohh man! Not those things again!
Brett turns and looks up.. He says.
Brett-The weird looking birds.
Nakia-I don't have any time to spare to fight them. I have got to do something right now.
Brett-What's the problem?
Nakia-I can't explain it. I just have to be somewhere else.
The winged gremlins don't land.. No, instead they fire optical green beams that hit both Nakia and Brett with tremendous force.. They end up being knocked into the Karate shop's large glass window. Nothing more is seen than their bodies hitting the inside of the Karate shop's floor and large pieces of glass following seconds after.
Nakia and Brett-UUNNNGGHH!
The people inside of the karate shop were lucky since they had been in another room.. The sound of the heavy crash made all of them run out of the other room and to Nakia and Brett, who's faces, and hands are slightly cut.. The remaining pieces of glass from the now destroyed window make their way to the ground now as well.
The people try to help Nakia and Brett but becomes frightened at what they now see, which are the winged gremlins landing and coming towards them with much intimidation. Nakia gets up slowly.. She looks at the winged gremlins with small cuts on her face and a bruised left facial cheek. One winged gremlin produces a ray beam that capture's Nakia's right hand, it forces her to open it and takes the pill. But swiftly Nakia snatches the pill back. She growls and holds the pill in her right hand as she says.
Nakia-You're not getting this pill! I won't let you keep hurting the man I love!
Everyone including Brett becomes startled at what she just said. Simply because they have no real idea of what's going on.
Nakia turns to the people and says to them with serious force.
Nakia-Get out of here! GO! HIDE!
They don't waste a second. They act on Nakia's words and hide.
She looks back at the winged gremlins who's eyes are now pulsating with brightness and their voices growling with anger.
Brett gets up on his feet and stands next to Nakia.. He says to her.
Brett-Babe you're gonna need help. And I'm here to provide it.
Nakia doesn't look at him, but she says with a snap.
Nakia-Thanks! So let's do it then!
Brett-You got it!
They rush at the winged gremlins and the fight begins..
Nakia jumps up in mid air and extends out her right leg, she then strikes two winged gremlins at once.. And with the force of her kick, the two winged gremlins are forced out of the karate shop's broken window area.. They hit the sidewalk instantly.. Nakia lands next to them on her feet. The two stand up and attempt to get the pill and to cause Nakia pain at the same time.. But her fierce anger turns out to be a much needed adrenaline rush aid. She strikes one of the beasts in their neck area with a thunderous striking karate chop. It falls to the ground with a howling painful screech.. It tries to get up and fight, but there's something seriously wrong with it. Nakia's quick attack has caused its neck to break.. So it loses its head and as soon as the head falls, the beast falls again and disappears. The second winged gremlin is struck with quick lightning speed hits, a front kick, a side kick, a back kick, and a tornado kick that sends it flying slightly away. When Nakia sees its not about to give up which I mean it's coming towards her, she prepares herself.. Her lightning storm power activates which causes her body to glow a bright yellow. With quickness she leaps up into the air, but not too far.. But far enough to extend out her right leg again. Now with a quick flashing strike, she rips through the winged gremlins' body like it was struck by a severe lightning bolt. It screams out and catches aflame as Nakia lands on her feet without the yellow glow. When the flaming beast hit's the ground, it blows up into an explosion that soon disappears.
Brett is handling the other two winged gremlins inside of the karate shop.. They both try to get him, but he kicks one of them in their face.. But he doesn't let it fall.. Instead he grabs it by the left shoulder and rushes it into the left side of the wall.. It screeches out and falls on its back in a clear disappearance. The other winged gremlin is coming towards him and takes flight so that its close to the ceiling and also that he can't get to it. Thinking quickly, Brett manages to jump high enough just when the winged gremlin got close enough to him to give it a strong high kick.. And with the kick administered, the winged gremlin falls on the ground hard and disappears.
Nakia comes back into the karate shop to thank Brett.. She wants to leave but he grabs her left hand to stop her.
Nakia-Brett I have to go.
Brett-Not before you tell me what's going on.. You said something's wrong with Ryan.
Nakia's eyes start to water because she can't control her emotions now.
Nakia-Ryan, took a drug, and he totally changed.
Brett becomes shocked.
Brett-What?! Are you sure?
Nakia-Yes I'm sure!
Brett-But why? I have known him for a long time and he has never done anything like that.
Nakia-I know! It all started when he got depressed over some coach coming here to pick some guys for a semi pro football team.
Brett-Hmm.
Nakia-He felt weak. So he said he needed something to make him stronger.
She shows him the pill. Brett sighs.
Nakia-This is what those creeps were after! I took this from Ryan a few minutes ago.
Something sparks in her head after her last words.
Nakia-Wait a minute..
Brett-What?
Nakia-I take the pill from Ryan and those winged creatures show up to try and take it from me.
Brett-Yeah?
Nakia-I know who's responsible for this! I know who did this to Ryan!
Brett-Who?
Nakia-Our new enemies, that's who.
Brett-What are you going to do?
Nakia-I don't know. But I have to think of something, and fast! I'm going back to the local gym. Ryan might still be there.
Brett let's go of her hand and nods. She dries her tears and is about to leave but stops and turns to give Brett a kiss on his not so hurt looking cheek..
Nakia-Thank you Brett.. I appreciate your help.
She starts to leave the karate shop, therefore leaving Brett behind and blushing like crazy. When she rushes back down the long sidewalk towards the local gym, she sees Chet and Joey fighting off more winged gremlins..
Nakia-This day keeps on getting more interesting.
Queen Minerva is ecstatic with great negativity when she finds out the winged gremlins weren't able to get the pill away from Nakia.
She screams out in pure anger.. When she stops, she catches her breath and hears a voice.
Muscularr-My Queen..
Muscularr steps out of the shadows and stands in front of the Queen's evil court. The Queen looks at him with disgust.
Queen Minerva-YOU DARE SHOW YOUR FACE HERE AFTER LOSING ANOTHER BATTLE TO THE RANGERS?!
Muscularr responds meekly and embarrassed like.
Muscularr-I'm very sorry. I..
She interrupts him.
Queen Minerva-Let me guess.. You want another chance do you?
Muscularr-If it were to please you, my Queen.
Queen Minerva-Well it wouldn't!
Her eyes sparkle and flash with angry redness.
Queen Minerva-The only thing that would please me at the moment is to see you boil in hot oil! Alive!
Muscularr cowers in dismay.
Muscularr-No, please.. I beg of you.
Queen Minerva's face takes a change for the worse.. Not only do her eyes reveal her anger, but so does her teeth, for they have turned into hideous looking fangs and her voice sounds a bit heavier but calmer than before, the calmness of her voice makes Muscularr less afraid.
Queen Minerva-Come now Muscularr.. Begging is not becoming. I suppose I could forgive another failure.
Muscularr-Really? Oh thank you My Queen.. I'm glad you won't boil me in oil.
She smirks slightly and responds to that.
Queen Minerva-I didn't say I wasn't going to boil you.
Muscularr becomes afraid again..
Muscularr-Please.. I.
She interrupts him again.
Queen Minerva-SILENCE! Get out of my sight you worthless peon! Very soon you will make up for your failure.
Muscularr bows and starts to leave when suddenly the floor up under him opens up.. He gasps and falls deeply into a huge pit of boiling hot oil.. When his screams of agony are heard the Queen smiles and says to herself..
Queen Minerva-Ahh, now that makes up for his failure. Hahaha
Her court laughs along with her.
Soon the Queen's look returns to normal.. She stops laughing and halts her court from doing the same.
Chet and Joey have finished off the winged gremlins and they both told her about what happened to Ryan and where he is now. So all three of them have teleported back to the old weather station.. Nakia informs Jeremy along with Chet and Joey of what she found out.
Jeremy-So our enemies gave Ryan the drug?
Nakia-Yes! I have to think of a way to help Ryan out of this mess.
Chet-Hey Nakia, we're friends. So we'll help too.
Nakia-Thanks Chet.
She sighs and says.
Nakia-I'm going to the hospital to see about Ryan..
Jeremy-Allright.
Nakia-If you guys come up with anything let me know..
Joey-We will.
They notice how sad she's looking so both Chet and Joey give her a reassuring hug one at a time.
Nakia-Thanks you guys.
They nod..
She then turns on her communicator and quickly her body sparkles a bright yellow that forms into a yellow beam of light that shoots upwards towards the ceiling, and when it hit's the ceiling it vanishes.
The three guys start to think on what should they do.. In order to save Ryan and stop the evil ones from harming him even more.
Nakia makes it to Terra Falls General, the main hospital in the city after cleaning herself up a bit from the window incident. She makes it to the front desk and the nurse there tells her the information she requested.. So Nakia makes it to the third floor, she walks down the long corridor till she gets to the very last room.. She peeks in to see Ryan in the bed totally knocked out it seems, and Zelda along with Kimberly sitting in two chairs close to the bed. She opens the door. Kimberly looks up and at her..
Kimberly-Oh Nakia! Thank goodness you're here.
Nakia walks in and asks.
Nakia-How's Ryan?
Zelda looks at her and responds to that.
Zelda-The doctors have him stabilized. Yet they don't know what exactly is wrong with him.
Nakia-I know.
Kimberly-What?
Nakia-Those evil creeps gave Ryan the drug.
Zelda-Oh no!
Kimberly-Jeez, now they have sunken to a new low.
Nakia sighs.
Nakia-Thank you both for getting him here.
Kimberly-No thanks needed.
Zelda gets up from the chair and says to Nakia.
Zelda-Here, take this chair. You should be sitting here.
Nakia-Thanks.
Nakia sits down and stares at Ryan.. She notices more a change.. Like his body is deteriorating right before her eyes.. She exclaims with utter fear.
Nakia-Ryan!
Zelda and Kimberly look at him with astonishment.
Kimberly-Oh Nooo.. He's changing again.
Nakia-What are we going to do?! There has to be a way to get him back to normal!
Zelda thinks of Lightwing's magic.. She says.
Zelda-Hey what about Lightwing. Maybe he can help us out on this one.
Nakia-Anything's worth a try.
Queen Minerva watches Nakia and the others at the hospital.. She says to herself.
Queen Minerva-Even though the Red Ranger only took one pill.. I can still use his body as a host for collected energy. And that's exactly what I'm going to do.
She zaps the image of Ryan in the hospital bed within her crystal ball.. Seconds later, in the hospital room, it starts to darken.
Kimberly exclaims.
Kimberly-NOOO!
Zelda-What now?!
Ryan's body starts to shake violently when a powerful red beam shines over him.. Nakia pushes herself forward, she attempts to shield his body from the red beam. Her screams and cries are heard because Ryan's body won't stop shaking.
Nakia-Oh god! Ryan! Ryan! Oh god please, please! No! No! Stop shaking please!
The whole room shakes and rumbles.. Nakia yells out at the top of her lungs.
Nakia-LEAVE HIM ALONE!
The shaking continues and worsens as seconds go by.. And as.. Everything fades to black..
