A/N: Hello all, me, J and a new friend are planning to work together on this fanfic after we're finished with Arc 1 of MegaMan X IS DC. So here is today's chapter. Enjoy!

Chapter 8: The Meeting Between Roll and Zoey: A Friendship is About to Bloom!

A few days have passed since the Waterworks incident…

In Lan's PC, the Mew Mews were helping MegaMan with page maintenance with the Blue Bomber teaching them how to do it. MegaMan turn to Lan's screen who was not paying attention. "Lan, me and the girls are almost done with maintenance." He reported.

"Yeah…" Lan said dully as he was busy daydreaming.

MegaMan has a vein on his helmet. "I work all day and all you say is yeah?" The Mew Mews sweat dropped and sighed Suddenly, a pink NetNavi appeared through the gate to the internet. She walked up to our heroes with a smile.

"Hya Mega!" The NetNavi waved cheerfully.

"Oh hey Roll!" MegaMan greeted.

"That's Roll, Mayl's NetNavi. She calls MegaMan Mega whenever they see each other. Little did I and MegaMan know that Zoey and Roll will eventually become my NetNavi's soulmates." Lan narrated. Roll looked at the Mew Mews.

"Who are your friends? They look kinda familiar and they don't have Navi marks, why is that?" Lan, MegaMan and the Mew Mews sweat dropped in fear as MegaMan and the Mew Mews huddled together.

"What should we do? If we lie about being new type of NetNavis, she won't believe us." Bridget whispered worriedly.

MegaMan sighed, knowing there's no way out of this. "I'll tell her." MegaMan got up from the huddle and looked at Roll. "Well, you see…" MegaMan told Roll about how Zoey and her friends are from another world and how a mysterious Navi known as S gave them the ability to jack into the Net.

"I see, I totally understand." Roll nodded in understanding. Lan, MegaMan and the Mew Mews sighed in relief before MegaMan asked her on what she's doing here.

"By the way, Roll, what brings you to Lan's PC?" MegaMan asked her.

"Oh right! Thanks for reminding me, Mega! Mayl asked me to deliver this message to Lan. Can you give it to him?" Roll asked him as she transmit the mail to MegaMan.

"Can do!" MegaMan acknowledged with a smile. Roll turned to Zoey who was confused on why she's looking at her.

"Say, Zoey, was it?" Roll began, Zoey paid heed. "Can you deliver the message to me after Lan replies? I would like to know more about you." Zoey was surprised by this but smiled and nodded. "Great! See you later, Mega!" With a cheerful wave, Roll exited Lan's PC.

"Bye Roll." MegaMan waved as he began to read Mayl's mail to Lan who paid attention. "Okay, I'll read the email. "Yai's birthday is coming up! Want to go shopping with me in Dentown? To buy a present? Write me back! Love, Mayl." What's your reply, Lan?" MegaMan smiled at his NetOp.

"Tell her I said Of course!" Lan grinned. "I wouldn't turn down the request of a childhood friend."

"Right on! I'll right the reply." MegaMan gave his NetOp a thumbs up as he began writing the reply. A few seconds later, MegaMan finished the reply. He walked up to Zoey and gave her the reply. "Okay, Mayl's PC is right next to Lan's PC, look for a pink link, you can't miss it." MegaMan instructed with a smile.

Zoey nodded and salute "Aye Aye, MegaMan! I'll be back soon!" With that said, Zoey exited Lan's PC. As soon as she left, Lan, MegaMan and the Mew Mews decided to talk about Zoey meeting Roll.

"I hope this doesn't turn into a catfight." Corina smirked. Lan and MegaMan have question marks above their heads. Corina gave a disgusted look towards the two heroes. "Ugh, you two are dense. Do I need to spell it ou-mmpfh!" Renee covered her friend and number 1 fan's mouth.

"It's best if MegaMan doesn't know for the moment, something tells me it will be good for all three of them in the long run. So let's keep to ourselves till the time is right, ok Corina?" Renee closed her eyes and smiled. Bridget and Kikki giggled and nodded in agreement with her while Corina slowly nodded as well.

"Uh MegaMan, do you have any idea on what they're saying right now?" Lan scratched his head in confusion.

"Beats me, Lan. Beats me." MegaMan sighed confusedly.

(With Zoey)

Zoey used her Rose Bell to finish off a Mettaur virus. Zoey sighed as she continued on her way to Mayl's PC. Still, she was wondering about something. 'I wonder if Roll is in love with MegaMan like me? I hope we can become friends.' She thought to herself as she continued on her trek to Mayl's PC. Eventually she sees a pink link that reads Mayl's PC. "This must be the place. Here goes!" Zoey gain her courage and entered Mayl's PC.

Mayl's home page was pink and cute, Zoey felt right at home even though she's from another world. "Hey Zoey!" Zoey turned to see Roll waving at her.

"Hey Roll, I got Lan's reply. I'll give it to you so you can send it to Mayl." Zoey closed her eyes and smiled as she gave Roll the reply.

"Awesome! Thanks a lot. Mayl is busy at the moment, so why don't we stay and chat for awhile?" Roll suggested.

"Of course." Zoey agreed. Roll and Zoey stared at each other for a few seconds, it was like they were reading each other's thoughts carefully.

"So…" Roll began, wanting to know more about her new friend. "Mega said you and your three friends and Ms. Roberts are from another world. What's it like there?"

Zoey smiled and began explaining about her and her fellow Mew Mews' life on Earth which she tells Roll that it is similar to Lan and MegaMan's world without the high tech stuff and PETs. She also told her about how a strange portal sucked her and her friends into Lan and MegaMan's world and meeting the dynamic duo.

"Wow! So you and your four friends are magical girls who are infused with the DNA of endangered animals to fight those… Cyniclons from destroying your Earth's environment? That's pretty amazing!" Roll beamed. "I thought magical girls only appear in the anime Mayl and Yai watched, but I'm seeing a real live magical girl."

"I know it sounds like fiction, but yes, me and my Mew Mew friends are real magical girls." Zoey closed her eyes and smiled. Zoey and Roll were silent for a moment until Zoey decided to break the ice. "Roll… Do you…" Zoey looked away bashfully. "…Love MegaMan?" Roll blushed redder than a tomato.

"W-What?! O-Of course I do. When Lan got Mega in the first place, me, Mayl and the two were inseparable. Um… Do you also like Mega, Zoey?" Zoey blushed this time.

"Y-Yes I do! Ever since we saved him from FireMan, I began to have feelings for him. W-Well there's this one guy I like back in my world, but now I am starting to have feelings for MegaMan…" Zoey looked down shamefully. "But now since I know you love MegaMan as well, I don't want to get between you two." Suddenly, Roll placed her hand on her new friend's shoulder. Zoey looked up in confusion.

"Don't say that, Zoey! I don't think you will get between us!" Roll reassured her as she continued. "Look, we both like the same guy, right? So there's no rule saying that only one boy and girl can love each other. So we can both love Mega!" Unknown to the two new friends, Mayl overheard this and smiled to herself while receiving Lan's reply.

"Y-You are absolutely right, Roll. We can both love MegaMan!" Zoey beamed as she and Roll shook hands.

"Great! But let's keep this a secret from Mega until the time is right. I'm not sure when, but I know it will eventually come." Roll smiled at her new friend and co-lover for MegaMan.

"Yep! Until we defeat the WWW for good, it'll be our secret till that day comes." Zoey smiled as she waved good bye to her new friend and exited Mayl's PC.

Zoey eventually made it back to Lan's PC. Lan on his screen, MegaMan and her fellow Mew Mews were waiting for her. "How did your meeting with Roll go, Zoey?" Bridget asked with a smile.

"It went well. I also deliver Lan's reply to Mayl about the shopping trip." Zoey closed her eyes and smiled brightly. "Me and Roll talked a lot."

"Oh? What kind of topics did you two talked about?" Lan asked, interested in It somehow.

"Lan!" MegaMan scolded him.

"Hehehe!" Zoey giggled and waved her pinky at Lan's screen. "It's a seeeecret!" Lan has a question mark above his head.

"Aaaaanyway, let's get ready for the shopping trip to Dencity." Lan smiled, but was wondering what was going on in Zoey's head as he jacked out MegaMan. The Mew Mews jacked out as well.

After jacking out, Lan got a email from Dr. Froid about the Official NetBattlers' Mailing List where they share secrets and tips with each other. Dr. Froid secretly got Lan and MegaMan in as thanks for rescuing his son, Tory. Lan and the gang got ready.

"Bye mom, we're going to Dencity with Mayl!" Lan waved good bye to Mrs. Hikari.

Mrs. Hikari closed her eyes and smiled and replied with "Have fun on your date with Mayl, Lan!" Lan blushed redder than a tomato.

"It's not a date! Sheese!" Lan growled, MegaMan and the Mew Mews giggled at Lan's denial that he loves Mayl. Our heroes decided they got time before meeting Mayl at the Metroline by stopping by at Higsby's where Lan purchased some new Battle Chips. The ones he got were Recovery 150, and a Interrupt Battle Chip. With everything done, our heroes head to the Metroline to wait for Mayl.

However, little did they know that a new WWW plot will take place in Dencity!
