Ash and Anabel sat right by a window seat with Anabel sitting right across from him. Ash was having some snacks while looking out the window. He then took out his Rotom Dex and looked at the powerless device.

"Are you going to be okay Ash?" Anabel asked.

"Yeah. Just returning back to the public like this is a lot to take in. I just hope that this tournament will be regular and I'll make some new and better friends that'll replace the ones that I lost and almost killed me." Ash said while putting his Rotom Dex down.

"I assure you that this tournament is going to be normal. Just as long as the Grimm are being dealt with beyond the perimeter of Vale, we got nothing to worry about. Plus, since we are going to be the main security of the tournament we'll know more movements than the others." Anabel stated.

"How so?" Ash asked.

"If there is any unnecessary trouble, Hunters and Interpol agents, including Detective Looker, will know who did it. The point it we are trying to make this a very happy occasion and fun tournament for all ages as a celebration for the defeat of Queen Salem a year ago." Anabel answered.

"That's good. To be honest, I hope this tournament doesn't bring back any dark memories of that day. That last thing I want is to see the traitors again." Ash said.

"Don't worry, we got people everywhere. When we get there, you'll head for the Pokémon Center and you'll get registered there. Although, your Pokedex may need to be recharged and updated. Fortunately, the Nurse Joy has new technology that can recharge your Pokedex within minutes." Anabel said.

"Alright. All I needed to know, at least until I find out where the tournament itself is taking place at." Ash said.

"Oh you'll know very quickly." Anabel said with a smile.

After a couple hours, Vale was now in sight. Ash wondered if there will be unique Pokémon out there in Vale, and maybe take another journey to clear his mind. But right now, he had a tournament to get prepared for.

Upon landing, Ash and Anabel went their separate ways and Ash departed to the Pokémon Center. Along the way, he decided to get some new clothing. He now wears long sweat pants, black boots, and a long hooded short sleeved trench coat over a standard t-shirt, and long gloves. He attaches his Key Stone onto a brooch that is connected to his coat.

As he was leaving with his new look, he was tracking down where the Pokémon Center was at with his hood up. He remained spaced out from everyone to avoid anyone from seeing him.

As he turned the corner, he accidentally slammed into a black hair ear cat Faunus.

"Whoa!" Ash yelled as his quick reflexes caught her from hitting the ground by grabbing her wrist. "Sorry about that." Ash said as he pulled her upright.

"Just be careful next time. She said while straightening herself.

"Hey, can you tell me where the Pokémon Center is at?" Ash asked her.

"It's further down the road next to the Dust shop. Are you participating in the tournament?" She asked.

"Yeah." Ash answered.

"Good luck. You're gonna need it." She said before she walked off. Ash watched as she walked off and went the other way. Just then, she slowly looked back and saw Ash. "That voice…is that…no, it can't be. Could it!?" She asked herself.

The Faunus named Blake Belladonna had shoulder length hair, sports a black and purple tight suit with metal braces on her shoulders. She had her signature emblem on her chest and wore a multitude of belts on her waist that held her weapon Gambol Shroud. She had black heels with purple on the soles and wore fingerless gloves. One of her other belt held six different Poke Balls that held her official team that aids her in battle.

Blake had actually admired Ash's past performances in leagues all over the world. In fact, the Indigo Plateau was the sole purpose of her becoming a Pokémon Trainer was an add-on to her being a Huntress.

Just then, her scroll, which doubles as a Pokedex, buzzed and she was getting a message from her teammate and closest friend and even sister figure Yang Xiao Long. She was to meet up with her team, Team RWBY, at city hall to head to the Pokémon Center for the tournament as well.

Back with Ash, he had finally arrived at the Pokémon Center where we go to get registered for the tournament.

"Hello, are you here for the Pokémon Vytal Tournament?" Nurse Joy asked as Ash arrived at the front desk.

"That's right. Although, my Rotom Dex is out of power. Plus, it may need to go through some updates." Ash said while pulling out his powerless Rotom Dex.

"Not to worry. I'll be able to have it fully charged and updated in a few minutes. This tournament is Tag Team themed, meaning you'll be partnered up with another to take on another group." Nurse Joy explained as she took his Rotom Dex and placed it on a state of the art charging station where it'll be updated and register Ash in to the tournament.

"Thank you Nurse Joy. I'll be nearby when it's done." Ash said as he went to get a seat.

Meanwhile, Team RWBY arrived to take part of the tournament. They didn't come alone as Team JNPR had also arrived to take part in the tournament as well.

Team RWBY's leader Ruby Rose, arguably got it the worst from the battle last year against Salem. She had slightly longer hair than Blake's, wore a black and red combat skirt, black stockings and knee length combat boots. She wore a torn up red hooded cloak with her emblem on one of her belts as a buckle. Like Blake, she had another belt that held her weapon Crescent Rose. The same belt also had a full team of six attached to it. She had a crooked scar on her face that barely missed her beautiful silver eyes.

Weiss Schnee, the former heiress of the family business called the Schnee Dust Company, had her long white hair in a ponytail, wore a midnight blue with a bit of teal long sleeved tight suit with high heels attached to it. She wore diamond studded earrings and had a small necklace on her neck. She had a belt that attached a sheath for her rapier Myrtenaster. She had a special compartment attached to her other side that held six different Poke Balls for her official team.

The final member and Ruby's half-sister Yang Xiao Long had long blonde hair in pigtails, wore beige pants with her left leg exposed, brown combat boots, had an orange and brown military themed ensemble. Her chest was slightly exposed with a yellow tank top showing her emblem. She had a pair of aviators attached to a thick choker on her neck. Her prosthetic arm was upgraded to match her gauntlet on her other arm the Ember Celica, with an inclusion of a special hydraulic puncher into her wrist, giving her the ability to deal rapid punches to her opponents with that arm. She also wore a vest over her shoulders that held her team of Pokémon.

Team JNPR's leader, Jaune Arc had short blonde hair, a few scars on his face, and he wore a Pumpkin Pete's jumpsuit underneath his armor that covered most of his body. He sports blue jeans with some tears into it and had a belt that held his Pokémon, and a scabbard for his sword Crocea Mors, which also doubles as a great sword. His shield was destroyed during the war, but he made a replacement with twin shields made of lightweight titanium covered in Kevlar on both of his arms for extra defense. His armor boots covered his legs and his left boot has an emergency buoy knife that he dubbed Sneaky in a hidden compartment.

Nora Valkyrie had slightly long red hair that barely covered her cyan colored eyes. She wore a light blue and pink combat skirt that had patches of armor on her torso and on her chest. Her emblem was on her back. She had a set of metal wings on her back to hold her weapon Magnhild. She had long arm gloves that are pink with black on her hands. She wore long white socks with pink heels. She had a belt that had her purse and her team of Pokémon as well.

Lie Ren wore a black and green turtleneck short sleeved shirt with a black pauldron going down his right arm. His long hair was down halfway own his back with a streak of magenta over his left eye. His other arm had an arm glove with an attached armor with his father's dagger hidden underneath for a sneak attack. He also wore white pants with a few belts, two for his weapons StormFlower, and for his team. He also had long combat boots that show off his feet.

Finally, Pyrrha Nikos, who was resurrected shortly after the war due to her death being unnatural by the Brothers of Light and Darkness, had her long red hair in a French braid with her headdress, which is now the powerless relic, keeping her hair out of her bright green eyes. She wore strapless bronze and red combat torso armor with attached arm guard on both sides. Her left arm had bronze armor that reached just up her bicep over a black glove. Her other arm had just the black glove. She wore a skirt under more armor and wore long combat heels. She, like Nora, had a pair of metal wings on her back for her weapons Miló and Akoúo̱. Her shield had her emblem. She had a belt that contained her team of Pokémon that was reunited with her when the battle ended last year when Pyrrha returned to Argus. After her death from the Vytal Tournament years prior, her Pokémon created a statue for her in her honor.

As a bonus, both Pyrrha and Nora had their left gloves reveal their ring finger, which had an engagement ring on each finger. Jaune proposed to Pyrrha a month after the battle, and Ren proposed to Nora just before the battle.

Teams RWBY and JNPR remained inseparable ever since, and now they are combat ready for the tournament.

"Ah, the tournament! I can't wait! I hope that things go well." Ruby said with a spring in her step.

"Ruby, some things may never change with you." Yang said while rubbing her head.

"I just hope this tournament doesn't end up like that event that happened years prior. That's something that I want erased from my memories, except my final moment with you Jaune." Pyrrha said while holding his hand.

"Don't worry Pyrrha. This is supposed to be a happy occasion and a celebration. I say that we're in the clear." Jaune said. Pyrrha smiled and kissed his cheek before leaning on him. "Let's go get registered." Jaune said to the others.

Back with Ash while Teams RWBY and JNPR were getting registered, Ash was in deep thought. He thought about how he was going to handle the publicity that he had returned. He also wondered how his mother was doing seeing as he hadn't seen her since the incident happened six years ago.

"Ash Ketchum, please report to the main desk." Nurse Joy paged over the intercom.

"Wait! Ash Ketchum!? He's really here!?" Weiss asked with shock while they were getting registered.

"That's right. In fact, there he is, coming this way." Nurse Joy said as Ash was coming their way.

Blake's eyes widen a bit from seeing him, especially that he was the one who bumped into her.

"Oh hey, you're that girl from earlier." Ash said before collecting his Rotom Dex.

"That's right." Blake said while calming down.

Just then, the Rotom Dex hoped back to life fully charged and updated.

"Ash! By the maker, it has been so long since I've been on. Three years to be more precise." Rotom said while taking a few pics with Ash and the two teams. "Plus, I have all of your Pokémon you obtained updated into my memory banks." Rotom added.

"Good to have you back old friend." Ash said as it flown right into his pocket.

"Ash Ketchum? As in, the very first Alola League Champion?" Weiss asked him.

"Well yes and no. It's a long story miss…?" Ash asked.

"Oh right, we never properly introduced ourselves. I'm Blake Belladonna, and this is Team RWBY." Blake said.

"I'm Ruby Rose." Ruby said.

"I'm Weiss Schnee." Weiss said.

"And I'm Yang Xiao Long. So cutie, are you single?" Yang asked with a smirk on her face.

Ruby and Weiss anime fell when she asked, and Blake smacked Yang at the back of the head. Meanwhile, Ash was giving off a raised eyebrow look in confusion.

"Yang! Did you forget about Sun?" Blake asked angrily.

During the battle last year, Yang was about to be overrun by Grimm. Had it not been for Sun Wukong's semblance, Via Sun, Yang would've very likely have been killed. She shared a kiss with Sun after the save and the two of them started dating the moment when the battle ended. Tomorrow would be their anniversary.

"Of course not Blake. It's just an old tick that comes and goes. I'm getting my humor back from all that has been happening in the last handful of years, so back the hell off Blake." Yang said with a bit on anger as well.

"Let's break it up!" Nurse Joy yelled at them, causing them to freeze. "I will not tolerate any of that in my Pokémon Center. Now if there's anything else I can help you with, move along!" She yelled once again.

"Sorry ma'am. Come on guys, let's take this outside." Jaune said. After they left, they were making their way towards Amity Colosseum. "Anyway, I'm Jaune Arc." Jaune said to Ash.

"I'm Lie Ren, but please just call me Ren." Ren said.

"Nora Valkyrie!" Nora yelled with a skip in her step.

"Hello, I'm Pyrrha Nikos." Pyrrha said with a slight wave.

"Nice to meet you guys. By the way Yang, what did you mean if I was single?" Ash asked the blonde brawler.

Yang gasped and anime fell as well. She shot herself back up onto her feet with a shocked look.

"Are you dumb or something? Are you like them?" Yang asked as she pointed at Team JNPR. Nora and Pyrrha were leaning on Jaune and Ren's shoulders.

"Oh that! No, I am single." Ash said while recollecting himself a bit from the confusion from earlier.

As they talked, Ash sensed their auras. Ash smiled as most of them were very trustworthy, and he really needed some new friends that would be by his side if anything would happen. The only one that he questioned was Weiss due to the fact that within her blue aura were yellow with a hint of orange, revealing that she was somewhat greedy and wanted power.

"So Ash, are you a Huntsman?" Ruby asked.

"That I am not. I'm more of a Huntsman in training dropout. Although, I do have a semblance." Ash answered.

"Then what's with the weapon?" Weiss asked as she got in front of him and stopped him.

"It's kind of a long story. Long story short, Professor Oak found a loop hole in being only a Pokémon Trainer and not a Huntsman. While I can't actually take part in any missions like you guys, it didn't say that I can't defend myself while on my travels. All I really needed to do was do training and face the Grimm away from the cities and towns to hone my skills. My…'former friends' helped me with that since I was ten. And if you want evidence on that matter, you can talk to him, and Lance." Ash explained.

Weiss stood there with a look like she did not wanted to believe any of that. She quickly pulled out her scroll and looked into it. After a bit, she froze on the spot once again.

"Oh my Arceus there is a loop hole….WHAT!?" Weiss screamed with anger.

"Told you." Ash said while slightly backing up.

"Anyway, what happened that day six years ago? I know it may sound hard for you, but you look like this is your first time back in public." Ren asked.

Ash looked away for a moment and closed his eyes. He then sent out Grace, who smiled right at him.

'Hello Ash.' Grace said as she approached him.

"Hey Grace. Well, I'm gonna be telling a bit of the story. You know what to do." Ash said.

'Of course.' Grace said as she was preparing to use her psychic powers to ease his pain.

"A GARDEVOIR!" Ruby shouted in excitement. Ash and Grace looked at her with shock. "I always wanted one of these beauties. They swore to protect their trainers in danger, and they have such incredible powers that can OUCH!" Ruby screamed in pain as Weiss smacked her hard at the back of the head. "WEISS!" Ruby shouted at her.

"Focus you dolt!" Weiss yelled at her with annoyance.

Ash and Grace looked at each other for a moment from seeing that until they looked back at the others.

"Well anyway, here's the long story short." Ash said before telling them everything that had happened. Ash was struggling to keep his feelings in check on a few parts hence Grace easing his pain. "Which led me to here today." Ash finished.

Everyone was saddened to hear that Ash went through all of that for six years. Everyone took pity on him, Blake, Jaune and Pyrrha mostly.

Pyrrha walked towards Ash and held his hand.

"You look like you could use some new friends. You can always hang out with us." She said.

"Thanks Pyrrha. Even though we just met, I feel like I can rely on you guys." Ash said.

Ruby then gasped loudly from seeing the bondages on his arm.

"Ash! What happened!?" Ruby yelled in fright as she pointed to his arm.

Ash quickly covered his bandages.

"I-it's nothing. It's just a wound that I tended to from an accident I gotten from doing training." Ash lied. He didn't want them to get involved with his mental depression.

"Are you sure? It may look serious." Ruby said while getting a bit closer to him. Ash backed away from her. "Ash, it's okay." She said.

"Grace!" Ash yelled.

Gardevoir got in between them and charged up a Moonblast.

'Get away from him!' Gardevoir yelled.

"YIKES!" Ruby shouted as she jumped back and Yang caught her into a bridal carry. "Just trying to be a friend!" She whined.

"Ruby you dolt! That's what Gardevior's do. Did you forget what you said a moment ago?" Weiss asked with annoyance.

"Right…just got very concerned." Ruby said while Yang put her down.

"Anyway, there's no need to worry." Ash said.

"Ash? I think after seeing you now and learning of your past, you could use some new friends." Pyrrha said with a smile.

"That would be wonderful. Me and my team could use some company after being in hiding. Just don't know what's gonna be crazier. How big this tournament is gonna be, or that Nevermore coming this way." Ash said while pointing behind them while backing up.

"Nevermore!?" Jaune asked with concern as they turned around.

A massive Nevermore swooped down at them and squawked as it barely missed them. It then landed in front of them and roared at Ash. Ash's depression and yet powerful aura was causing the monster to be interested in him.

"TOGETHER!" Ruby shouted as they pulled out their weapons.

Ash pulled out Warrior's Heart and turned it into its rifle mode and fired at its head. Grace then fired the Moonblast right at the Nevermore, causing it to stumble backwards. It then roared again and attempted to eat Ash.

Ash then summoned Divine Elemental. No one noticed it though. He then aimed it right at the throat.

"FIRAGA!" Ash shouted. The Keyblade then fired a large ball of fire right into the mouth and it exploded on impact.

The Nevermore screeched in intense pain as its insides were starting to catch fire. Soon enough, the entire body burst into flames.

"THUNDAGA!" Ash shouted as he aimed it at the sky.

A massive thunderbolt struck down at the Nevermore and it exploded. The Nevermore then died and turned into smoke.

Everyone had their jaws opened from the shock as Ash twirled his weapons and dismissed his Keyblade. He then collapsed Warrior's Heart and put it away.

"Where did that second weapon come from?" Blake asked.

"Oh this?" Ash asked as he summoned Divine Elemental.

"Yeah where'd that come from?" She asked once again.

"This Keyblade came from my heart to aide me in battle. You like it?" Ash asked as he showed it to them.

"It's beautiful." Blake said.

"May I see it?" Yang asked.

"Okay sure." Ash said as he gave it a twirl and handed it to Yang. Ash and Grace had a small smile on their face while Yang examined it. Suddenly, it began to glow and it vanished, returning to Ash's hand. "Surprise." Ash said with a bigger smirk.

"Wha…I have so many questions." Yang said while trying to process what happened.

"I'll tell you more about it on the way. So uh…where exactly is the tournament taking place at? Is in that field over there?" Ash asked as he pointed towards a large field where many people are hanging at.

"Actually, it's taking place…" Blake was saying as he took his pointed hand and aimed it upwards towards a large building floating in the sky. "Up there." Blake finished.

"Ah, Amity Colosseum. I remember the first time I was there in my first tournament match in the Vytal Tournament. Then again…that's where all the real disasters happened and…shutting up now." Ruby said while looking down and thought of Pyrrha.

Meanwhile, Ren was constantly looking at Ash's bandages. They looked way too big for simple wounds. But then, it hit him He gasped a bit and his eyes shrank.

"Renny? Everything alright?" Nora asked as she nudged him a bit, snapping him out of it.

"Yeah. Just noticing something off about his bandages. Not here though." Ren said. Nora was getting rather concerned.

When they arrived at the colosseum, Ash and the two teams met up with the other participants in the center of the field. Ash sensed a lot of different auras around him. What he did sense was some auras that were familiar to him, but was not looking forward to see. He knew that they were the traitors. He felt his heart pound fast and he began to sweat. Anabel was right that they would be here.

Just then, the lights began to go dim and the stands began to cheer as the opening ceremony was beginning. The big screen lit up and the commentators named Peter Port and Bartholomew Oobleck appeared on screen.

"Greetings people of the world. And welcome to our first annual Pokémon Vytal Tournament. Starting tomorrow we will be kicking off the celebration of Queen Salem's final defeat and peace returning to Remnant." Port said with pride.

"We got trainers from near and far for this wonderful event. Experts, veterans, Hunters, even a long lost champion have come to us to put their skills to the ultimate test. This tag team tournament will not only put these participants' skills to the test, but also how much they can trust each other. So without any further ado, let us begin to determine who will be paired with whom." Oobleck said as the biome rotators were modified to show who will be partnered up.

Ash watched as they show who will be partnered up with one side being one, and the other showing his/her partner. Ash was doing everything he could to manage his PTSD and to not have any anxiety attacks from that day.

Finally, the rotators began to slow down for the next tag team.

"Next up we have Blake Belladonna pairing up with…Ash Ketchum." Oobleck announced as the rotators showed Ash and Blake on the rotators.

Ash sensed many people that are participating shocked expressions and even excitement. Meanwhile in the stands, Ash sensed many more excitements and shocked expressions. Others, on the other hand, were showing signs of relief knowing that the missing Alola Champion has been found.

Ash sensed Blake's aura when she learned that she was paired up with Ash. But she was not exactly happy about it. Ash believed that she wanted to be paired up with someone that she already knew, and Ash couldn't blame her.

Throughout the rotations, Ash saw all the traitors that backstabbed him that day. His anxiety began to grow and he was now having a hard time keeping it in check.

"And with that, the contestants have been paired up and the tournament is set. There is only one thing left to do: igniting the torch to begin the match. Tonight, we have Huntress Lenora Velvet to ignite the torch." Port said before the screen showed Lenora clear from the other side of the torch that stood on top of a pedestal on top of the colosseum.

Lenora had chocolate colored skin, long black hair, wore a purple and pink combat skirt and wore purple heels. She held her bow and arrow named Arrow Mayhem and ready to fire an arrow with fire Dust attached to it. She then began to channel her aura in to her semblance to give her better accuracy.

Semblance Analysis

Lenora Velvet: Dead Eye

A semblance that gives the user perfect accuracy with ranged weapons. The user can use their aura to achieve better accuracy to further away targets. A tradeoff for this is that if one uses too much aura, their accuracy will be hindered.

Lenora then fired the arrow. The arrow then went right into the very center of the igniter of the torch and the flame burst out.

"Perfect shot Ms. Velvet. And as of this moment, the Pokémon Vytal Tournament has begun." Oobleck announced over people cheering. Lenora waved at everyone as many applauded for her.

That night, Ash and Blake were given an assigned room at a nearby hotel to stay at during the tournament. Ash had been noticing that Blake was still rather upset of her partner.

When they entered, they saw a nice size room that had a couple desks, a large TV, and had a beautiful view outside the window. But there was a slight problem…only one bed. Ash and Blake looked at each other with a bit of an awkward look.

"You have the bed, I'll take the chair." Ash immediately said before things got too weird.

"Agreed." Blake said while she set everything down on the bed while Ash set his things down by the desk. Blake then noticed that Ash was sitting on his chair while sweating. "Ash? What's wrong?" Blake asked.

"Just getting some bad memories from that day. The traitors are here and I really don't want you guys getting in between this." Ash said.

Blake held his shoulder and Ash looked at her.

"This tournament won't be like that. We'll show them a thing or two and bring them to justice." Blake said with a smile.

"Right…I need some air." Ash said when he got up and went outside. Blake looked at him with a bit of concerned.

Ash then summoned his Keyblade and created a portal. He walked through it and it immediately closed. Another portal opened up and Ash walked out of it. He then eyed Beacon Academy.

He had learned a lot of this wonderful academy, and its reputation. If he had to choose which academy to go to to become a Huntsman, it would definitely be Beacon Academy. Ash was rather tensed when all the traitors were here and it was getting the best of him.

"You there." Ash heard a woman's voice nearby.

He gasped and quickly looked towards a woman with blonde hair in a bun with a curl on her right side of her head, a white long sleeve top tucked into a black skirt. She had green eyes and had small spectacles over them. She had long black stockings and knee length boot heels. She had a scabbard on her boot that held her weapon, the Disciplinarian, which took the form of a crop. She even had a cape on her back with black on the outside and purple on the inside.

"Oh hello. You're uh…Glynda Goodwitch right? The headmistress of Beacon Academy?" Ash asked her as she approached him.

"That's right. What are you doing here? You are trespassing." Glynda asked with a serious tone.

"Let's just say that I needed some space from everyone at the moment. The ones that caused my disappearance six years ago are here and it's causing me some issues." Ash answered.

"Matters not. You must return to your hotel tonight immediately." Glynda demanded.

Ash sighed a bit and he was heading for the pickup zone. He sent out Dust Devil and they flew away.

Suddenly, Glynda's scroll was going off. She quickly answered it and saw Anabel.

"Chief Anabel. How can I help you?" Glynda asked.

"We realized that someone trespassed at Beacon Academy. Everything alright?" Anabel asked.

"Yes ma'am. It was just a boy that claimed that he just needed some space that some 'traitors' caused some issues." Glynda answered.

"Wait a minute. Did this boy have raven jet black hair, 'z' birthmarks on his cheeks, and brown eyes?" Anabel asked.

"Yeah…why?" Glynda asked with a bit of concern.

"YOU IDIOT! That was Ash Ketchum, the person I warned you about shortly after I arrived! He's unstable and his PTSD is high!" Anabel yelled at her.

Glynda's heart twisted and she began to sweat. She gasped a bit of what she had done.

"Oh no…I wish to see him and apologize to him immediately." Glynda requested.

"That's a request deny Glynda. Given the way you probably spoke to him, he might not want to talk to you again." Anabel said with a bit of venom.

Glynda looked down in shame that she forgotten about what Anabel warned her about Ash's condition.

"At least let me warn Blake about it." Glynda said.

"Do as you wish. But if you happen to see him again, show some mercy to the boy. Consider this your final reminder." Anabel said before she hung up.

Glynda then quickly contacted Blake.

"Hello?" Blake asked.

"Blake, I need to talk to you." Glynda said.

"Professor! Ah whoops! I-I mean Glynda. Still trying to get used to that. Anyway, what's up?" Blake asked.

"I need you to keep a sharp eye on Ash. Are you familiar with his PTSD?" Glynda asked her.

"Yes I do. We've learned about that not long before that Nevermore attacked us earlier this afternoon." Blake answered.

"When you see him next, tell him that I'm sorry for lashing out at him. I think that battle last year took a bigger toll on me than I thought." Glynda said while looking away a bit.

"Glynda, none of us blame you. You've always been a strict professor. We also knew that you hate saying goodbye to your students and close friends. Why else did you think us Team RWBY, JNPR, and even CFVY chose to stick around?" Blake asked with a smile.

"Because this is your home?" Glynda asked.

"No. It's because our victory came from Beacon. Sure Team CFVY stuck around Shade and the rest of us literally traveled the world, Beacon is where it all started for us. We wouldn't be the Hunters today without any of you. Even I didn't want to say goodbye." Blake explained to her.

The words she said touched Glynda's heart and she smiled bigger.

"Thank you Blake. Take care of Ash would you? I think given how things are, he could use you guys more than ever." Glynda said.

"Will do. Blake out." She said before she hung up.

Back with Ash, he returned back to the hotel room and he just stared out into the distance. He wanted to be by himself with everything that is happening. Blake starred at him for a bit before giving a small smile and lay down on the bed.

The Pokémon Vytal Tournament has begun. What kind of challenges will Ash and Blake face? What will happen when Ash meets with one of the traitors face to face? Will he reign supreme, or fail like that tragic day? Find out more next time as the story continues.

Another chapter down. Thank you for reading as always. Things are gonna get crazy when the first round of the Pokémon Vytal Tournament goes underway. I cannot wait till we get to it.

Also just to make something clear, Lenora Velvet's appearance in this story is not linked to canon of A Vytal Destiny. She's only here as a cameo appearance for this very moment. This OC character belongs to me.

Anyway, next time, we get into the first round of the Pokémon Vytal Tournament. TheD-Rock900 is signing off, see you guys next time.
