Chapter 147 Be Careful What You Wish For Part 2
In the alternate thread of time where Nakia and Zelda are waiting around while the hot sun beats down on them, they don't notice the spying beings just a few feet away from them carrying large deadly spears. And the reason why they don't notice is because they're hiding behind the thick tall grass, at least the live part of the grass. Nakia comes up with an idea after her complaint.
Nakia-Gosh its hot! Its no wonder we really couldn't think.
Zelda-I know.
Zelda wipes the sweat off of her forehead. Nakia continues.
Nakia-I have an idea now though.
Zelda-What is it? Do tell!
Nakia-If we wish ourselves out of here maybe it'll work.
Zelda-Good thinking.
They both say together.
Nakia and Zelda-We wish to go back to where we came from!
Nothing happens.
Nakia says it again, still nothing happens. She exclaims.
Nakia-Ughh!
Zelda-Total bummer.
Nakia-This is Kimberly's wish! Which probably means only she can get us out of here.
Zelda-Too bad we don't know where she is.
Nakia-Ohh I'd like to ring her neck for sending us here.
Zelda laughs.
Nakia-I'm serious. I think.
Nakia chuckles.
The hear rustling.. Zelda snaps to attention.
Zelda-What was that?!
Nakia-Sounded like rustling.. I don't know.. Wind?
Zelda-That was no wind.
Back in time as we know it.. Joey is still sitting on Ryan's couch.. He's thinking of where in the world could his friends be. He looks at his watch and sees the time now is 3:30 a.m. which is also making him sleepy, but he can't sleep. He has to find out what happened to his friends.
In the alternate thread of time where Ryan and Chet are running for their lives, they manage to stop to catch their breath.. The wind starts to howl which brings on a chilling feeling. Chet looks at the dark sky just because he wanted too.. He then looks at Ryan who is resting upon some weird looking stone. He asks him.
Chet-Why do you think Jeannie sent us here?
Ryan responds after catching his breath.
Ryan-Don't you get it? She thinks if we're fighting or in trouble like this then we're happy.
Chet-Because we're Rangers?
Ryan-Yeah.
Chet-We need to figure out a way to get out of here though before they kill us.
Ryan-I know. But I don't think Jeannie would let that happen.
Chet-How do you know?
Ryan-I don't.
Ryan's elbow starts to ache a bit, he lifts up from the stone and says.
Ryan-Oww man.. This stone is a bit thin.
Chet steps back a bit to view it, he gasps and says.
Chet-That's because it's a tombstone!
Ryan leaps back and gasps really hard.
Ryan-A tombstone?!
He looks at the stone and reads the words that proves it's a stone that is marking someone's grave. Both guys become disgusted immediately. Ryan looks around the entire area.. He gasps again.
They both look at each other to shout out in unison.
Ryan and Chet-This is a grave yard!
Right after that, the many graves start to burst open.. Ryan says in a worried type way.
Ryan-Ohh this is not good.
Seconds pass, and the graves that had just burst open reveal the dead people alive and very scary looking.. They climb out of their graves with a steady pace and both Ryan and Chet scream out..
Chet-Let's get out of here Ryan!
Ryan-Yeah.. I just can't help to wonder if we keep on running.. Where will we end up next.
Chet-No time to think about that.. Let's just get!
The moaning is heard coming from the dead people who are now walking towards Ryan and Chet.. They yell out again and rush quickly out of the grave yard. The dead people follow.
Kimberly is still making it through the back way of the cabin area.. She stops when she notices a couple of large looking beings coming in her direction, she can't really make out what they are because its dark.. She yelps..
Kimberly-Oh no, now what am I going to do.
She looks around quickly and spots a few big trees that make her decide to go behind so that she won't be seen. Anyway the two very large and mean looking beings walk right past without taking notice of Kimberly.. But one does stop to say in a heavy grungy tone.
Voice-I smell something..
The second one asks in the same type of way.
Second Voice-What is it?
First Voice-I can't make it out exactly yet. But something is definitely behind those trees.
Second Voice-It's probably a nymph.
First Voice-No nymph. Something different.
Second Voice-Forget about it. Let's get to the camp. If we're late they'll chew our feet again.
First Voice-Oh allright.
They both leave.
Kimberly sighs with relief.
Kimberly-I did not wish for any of this.. I've got to get out of here!
Back in normal time.. Joey hears singing coming from Jeannie's bottle in Ryan's kitchen.. He gets up to go in there. He then picks up the bottle and the singing stops.. He looks inside because the cork is gone. He asks.
Joey-Hey Jeannie. Do you know where my friends are?
Jeannie looks upward and sees Joey's eye peering down at her. She responds.
Jeannie-Yes I do. I granted their wish.
Joey-What wish?
Jeannie-The wish of them wanting to not do what they were doing and to have a lot of dangerous fun.
Joey-What?
He puts the bottle down on the counter and says.
Joey-I think you'd better come out of there and explain everything.
Jeannie-Very well master.
Joey-And don't call me master!
Jeannie stands up from her beautiful looking couch inside of her bottle.. She crosses her arms and blinks her eyes once which sounds a magical whirling sound.. Seconds later her body forms into a pink smoke that shoots upwards through the opening her bottle.. Joey watches as the pink smoke hit's the kitchen floor only to burst into a cloud that when disappears, it shows Jeannie standing beside him. Joey asks.
Joey-So tell me exactly what happened.
Jeannie looks at him and nods..
Back to Nakia and Zelda..
Both are staying completely still, not making a sound because they want to make out if there really is rustling by something other than the wind.. In fact its not the wind at all, it was only said to avoid the possible chance of it being someone or something they don't want to deal with. The rustling continues, and its getting closer to them.
Zelda-That is no wind.
Nakia-Yeah. I realize that now.
They both stand at attention and back up against each other as well.
The rustling sound gets louder and louder, and soon they hear voices along with the rustling. Nakia spots something strange running through the tall grass.. She says to Zelda.
Nakia-We're in for it!
Zelda-This wish is going to get out of hand.
Nakia asks sarcastically.
Nakia-How'd you guess?
Zelda responds equally sarcastic.
Zelda-Oh I don't know.. Just a feeling.
They don't laugh because they're worried. And soon those worried feelings will leap out and grab them.
Back to Joey and Jeannie. She has explained everything to him.. He says.
Joey-Jeannie. You can't leave them there!
Jeannie-But they wished it.
Joey-You have to bring them back! Now!
Jeannie-I cannot.
Joey-Why?
Jeannie-I can only bring them back if its wished.
Joey-Okay.. Then I wish they were back here.
Jeannie hesitates.
Joey-Why are hesitating Jeannie? You heard what I said!
Jeannie-I know. But I still cannot bring them back.
Joey-What?! You just said you could bring them back if it was wished.. Well I wished for it! So grant it!
Jeannie-You do not understand. I can only bring them back if they wish for it.
Joey-What?
Jeannie-To better understand this.. I mean Kimberly must wish for them back. She was the one who said the wish that sent them there to begin with.
Joey-So they all didn't wish to be where they are now?
Jeannie-No, Kimberly wished it. So I had to grant it.
Joey-Then why did you tell me everyone wished for it?
Jeannie-They were all tired and bored. So I assumed. Anyway Kimberly wished for them all so that's how it worked.
Joey-Tell me they won't end up being hurt.
Jeannie doesn't say anything for a minute.. Joey says again.
Joey-Tell me they won't end up being hurt!
Jeannie-I.. Cannot say.
Joey-What?!
Jeannie-I have no control over where I sent them.
Joey-Oh man this is so confusing. Why can't you just over power the stupid wish with my wish?
Jeannie-I just can't. I'm sorry.
Joey grunts angrily.. He hit's the countertop with his fist.. This startles Jeannie.. She slightly cowers down and says.
Jeannie-I am so sorry. I really am.
Joey looks at her with angry eyes and a face to match.. He clinches his teeth and says while doing so.
Joey-If you were so sorry you would bring them back before they're harmed!
Jeannie-There are supernatural rules that..
He cuts her off with an angry shout.
Joey-FORGET YOUR DAMN SUPERNATURAL RULES!
He leans towards her and says supremely angry.
Joey-You better hope nothing happens to my friends Jeannie..
Jeannie-Please forgive me.. I just thought I was doing the right thing. If you were here earlier you would understand why I had to grant that wish.
Joey-No I wouldn't of understood it.. You know why?
Jeannie-No.
Joey-Because 50% percent of the time, people say things they don't really mean!
Jeannie-I..
He cuts her off..
Joey-And if you're going to be in this world you have got to learn that!
Jeannie-I am sorry.
Joey growls with anger.. He then stops to calm down when an idea hits him so to speak.
Joey-You said the only way for them to come back is if Kimberly wished them back, right?
Jeannie responds meekly because she's feeling bad now.
Jeannie-Yes.
Joey-Then send me to where you sent them. I'll get Kimberly to wish for us all back.
Jeannie sighs.
Joey-What's wrong?
Jeannie-I know I sent them to threads of alternate worlds.. But I do not know which I sent them too.
Joey-What?! Tell me you're joking..
Jeannie-There are billions of threads in the fabric of time.. Billions.
Joey thinks.
Joey-Hmm I have been through this before with my friends..
Jeannie-You have?
Joey-Yes, not in a wishing way.. But we were trapped in threads of time fabric before. Maybe Jeremy can scan them all.
Jeannie-I do not understand.
Joey-I didn't expect you too.
Jeannie is about to say something else when Joey quickly says instead.
Joey-Get back in your bottle.
Jeannie-Yes.. Master.
Joey-And don't call me master! It's Joey! Joey!
Jeannie-Yes.. Joey.
Joey-Good.
Jeannie blinks and instantly her form returns to her bottle.. Joey finds the cork and puts it inside to seal the bottle.. Then he takes a firm hold of it as he turns on his communicator.. Jeremy answers.
Joey-Jeremy, get a hold of Lightwing.. We've got lots of work to do.
Jeremy-Huh?
Jeremy-I'll explain when I get there.
Jeremy-Okay.
Joey turns off his communicator, they he touches the blue star on it and makes his body sparkle with a crisp blue.. Soon he completely changes into a blue beam of streaking light that moves upward towards the ceiling and right before its able to hit the ceiling it disappears as everything fades to black.
