Chapter 169 The Burden Hardest to Bear Part 3
The Rangers have made it back to the site.. The very grave site where they see more ghostly shadows popping out of the pit. The Yellow Ranger says.
Yellow Ranger-Guess it's time. They really do need our help.
Red Ranger-Yeah. So let's go.
The Rangers all agree when they say in unison.
Power Rangers-Right!
But very suddenly something no expects happens.. They see something through the smoky vapors materializing right out of the pit and when it becomes whole they are shocked beyond belief.
Ghostly Sinistar-You Power Rangers are done for this time! The power within the pit you seek belongs to no other but me!
Black Ranger-What the?! It's Sinistar!
Yes it is Sinistar but she does not look like how she looked before her body was destroyed. Although she does resemble her old self slightly her body is deeply transparent.
White Ranger-But how?!
Blue Ranger-Oh no!
Ghostly Sinistar-Hahahahha!
She points a powerful long spine looking skull scepter at them and says supremely.
Ghostly Sinistar-HAVEN'T YOU RANGERS REALIZED? EVIL NEVER DIES!
She quickly activates her scepter and uses it to fire out a extremely super powerful blast of deadly plasma energy that crashes into the Rangers at once sending them flying in all different directions away from the pit.
Power Rangers-AAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!
The Yellow Ranger is the first to react when she hit's the ground really hard.
Yellow Ranger-Ohhhhhh! I don't believe this and when I thought we were actually rid of her!
Sinistar summons of what looks to be ghostly demon knights by the way of them being transparent too but after a bit of concentration the evil being is able to make her body and the bodies of her evil demon knights whole again. She sends them to attack the fallen Rangers.
The Pink Ranger is on the north side of the site and is on top of a very high mountainess pile of really big rocks, and right beside her is a ghostly demon knight. She gasps and quickly prepares herself to fight.
The ghostly demon knight takes several clawing stabs at the Pink Ranger but she dodges each and every one of them, she finally decides to flip up and over its head, when she lands on its opposite side she strikes it with a powerful jump style double kick. The ghostly demon knight is hit and falls onto its stomach. A mere second later the ghostly demon knight floats back up on its feet and turns to the Pink Ranger, who without haste doesn't give the ghostly demon knight half a chance to attack, she quickly swings her right leg around once to strike its stomach, then she does the same with her left leg, the impact from the leg strikes cause the ghostly demon knight to lose its balance just a little bit for its about to fall off of the mountainess car pile. The Pink Ranger says to it in a comical unsympathetic style.
Pink Ranger-Bye Bye..
She giggles then goes back into serious mode as she leaps up slightly and delivers one powerful super front kick to the ghostly demon knights body..
Pink Ranger-HIYA!
The ghostly demon knight lets out a howling scream all the way down to the ground where when it hits, it explodes.
The Black Ranger is taking on a ghostly demon knight on the east side of the site all the way down on ground level. He gives it a triple super punch to its face, the ghostly demon knight screams slightly and retaliates by actually trying to bite the Black Ranger's arm.. Immediately he takes a hold of its head and flips it onto its backside.. The ghostly demon knight lifts up its right leg to give the Black Ranger a hit, he feels it and is knocked away from the ghostly demon knight who has now arisen back on its feet. The Black Ranger turns to the ghostly demon knight and says seriously.
Black Ranger-That's it! Enough is enough!
His body now glowing black as he dives into the ground. The ghostly demon knight becomes puzzled at this.. It's looking around for the black Ranger.. Suddenly it feels a rumble right under it and without it really know what's going on, the ground bursts with the black energy.. It surrounds the ghostly demon knight promptly and creates a large sphere of hail. The ghostly demon knight struggles to get out but the sphere proves to be much tougher. It immediately explodes therefore destroying the ghostly demon knight. Once the explosion dies down, the after affects produce more black energy that hit's the ground and transforms back into the Black Ranger.
The Blue Ranger is all the way on the west side of the site flipping through about six ghostly demon knights. His flipping impacts crashes.. Four of the ghostly demon knights have blown up due to the crashes, but two are still active and right behind him. The Blue Ranger lands on his feet after his last back flip and ducks down to give both ghostly demon knights a jabbing strike with his elbows. They attempt to get him, but the Blue Ranger is too quick. He stands up and moves in back of them. Soon both knights turn around only to get a super double high kick in their faces. They scream out as their bodies are flung upward and over so that when they hit the ground their on their stomachs. One gets back up and I'll say waste its time by trying to hit the Blue Ranger, because really its futile.. The Blue Ranger evades the attacks and grabs the ghostly demon knight, he slings it downward and gives it a powerful elbow crush. It screams out and hits the ground instantly. The other ghostly demon knight tries its luck, but ends up on the ground as well. The first ghostly demon knight's body is glowing by the way which means its energy is about to implode. The second ghostly demon knight notices and tries to get up.. But its too late, the first ghostly demon knight explodes into a heavy powerful vortex.. It dies along with its partner.
The Red Ranger, Yellow Ranger and White Ranger are battling Ghostly Sinistar closer by the pit. Things aren't looking too good for them. She has ripped through their bodies with extreme light speed.. The collisions have caused all of their suits to set off small explosions and give them a dose of surging pain.
Red Ranger-UGHH!
Yellow Ranger-UGH!
White Ranger-AAAHH!
Ghostly Sinistar is powering up and it looks like its not taking very long to do this. Once again she rushes towards the Rangers, they immediately get out of the way of the her path.
The Rangers now turn to Ghostly Sinistar who has just stopped running, when she turns back towards them, they pull out their blasters. The Yellow and White Rangers get on bended knee while the Red Ranger stays standing. Now, pointing their blasters at their greatest enemy, the Rangers fire a triple stunning blast that strikes her and causes her to scream out.
Ghostly Sinistar-AAAAHHHH!
The force from their blasters have flung Ghostly Sinistar onto her back. Her body starts to surge with electrical charges, and those same charges bring forth smoking after affects. Both Rangers stand back up next to the Red Ranger.
Ghostly Sinistar starts to get up.. The Yellow Ranger is alerted.
Yellow Ranger-Watch out! She's getting back up.
Ghostly Sinistar stands up fully now and is about to rush into the Rangers again, but a powerful force emerges from behind the Rangers and pushes forward into Ghostly Sinistar's body. She is then flung away from the Rangers and crashes into a heap of big heavy rocks.
Ghostly Sinistar-UGHHH!
They look behind them to see their friends. When they regroup they don't have time to savor their temporary victory because Sinistar has confronted them again, she shouts out to the Rangers with extreme hate..
Ghostly Sinistar-YOU SENTENCED ME TO DEATH AND NOW IT IS TIME FOR ME TO DO THE SAME TO YOU!
She plunges her scepter into the rocky ground causing a very powerful deadly cyclone of the dead to arise and capture the Rangers all at once. They all start screaming out in horrendous pain.
Power Rangers-AAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!
Ghostly Sinistar-Excellent let the energies those Power Idiots hold become absorbed into my cyclone to siphon to me! To make my body whole again permanently in this world!
Her evil hope is dashed when she sees something she really didn't think would be happening. And something the is the Rangers are teleporting right out of the cyclone. Dismayed she exclaims with hatred.
Ghostly Sinistar-NO!
She turns to the Power Rangers on the ground noticing them in cannonball flip mode. Now each of them in this sequence Pink, Yellow, Blue, White, Black and Red all prepare to attack Ghostly Sinistar.. They all materialize their weapons. First out of cannonball flip mode are the Pink and Yellow Rangers, with quick speed the Pink Ranger hurls her two glowing pink javelins at Ghostly Sinistar causing her a slight painful jolt and soon after the Yellow Ranger fires two lightning blasts from her Lightning Bow that also causes her to sizzle with even more pain. Next out of cannonball mode, the Blue and White Rangers immediately fire off aqua and snow energy blasts from the Blue Ranger's shield and the White Ranger's snow staff therefore striking Ghostly Sinistar again making her wear down due to the intensity of the energy blasts, and last but not least both the Black Ranger and Red Ranger attack, with a powerful blast from the Black Ranger's cannon and a triple slashing strike from the Red Ranger's triple blade saber Ghostly Sinistar is harshly flung into her own cyclone of death where her body begins to crack and causes her to become extremely weak however, she speaks in a ominous way.
Ghostly Sinistar-You Power Rangers…Protectors of this mud ball of a planet! Bask in yet another one of your victories for it shall be short lived… You will all be destroyed when the Demon God Leviathan awakes….All shall be no MOREEE!
The Black Ranger notices and picks up Ghostly Sinistar's spine scepter from the ground and looks up at her to shout out.
Black Ranger-YOU MEAN LIKE YOU?!
He gets down on bended knee and put the scepter on that knee only to quickly break it into two pieces. When that is done Ghostly Sinistar lets out a shrilling shriek and then she explodes into a heavy white dust along with her cyclone of death disappearing. The Black Ranger then stands back up and throws the broken scepter up into the sky then he blasts it with his star storm laser ice beam pistol immediately freezing then destroying the scepter completely.
The Rangers look at each other with relief as they feel everything is kind of back to normal but they still can't understand why Sinistar was able to come back the way she did and attack them.
Pink Ranger-You know everyone as much as I would like to figure out why what just happened, happened but we need to go on with what we came here for.
Yellow Ranger-Agreed.
Blue Ranger-Yes of course.
Walking closer to the pit, and beyond the ghostly shadows arising from it, the Rangers are just about to it when Lightwing's transparent image appears and says.
Lightwing-Rangers. I have learned some more news.
The Pink Ranger asks.
Pink Ranger-What is it Lightwing?
Lightwing-I have learned the pit will only allow one of you to go in.
The Rangers exclaim.
Yellow Ranger-What? Are you sure?
Lightwing-Yes. The ghostly portal is opened for only one.. Chris.. But one of you can go in instead of him.
The Red Ranger says.
Red Ranger-Then I'll go..
The Pink Ranger says in protest.
Pink Ranger-No, Ryan. I'll go.. I feel I'm responsible for all of this. So I have to be the one to make it right.
Red Ranger-But Zelda. You don't know what's in there.
White Ranger-Yeah especially after Sinistar came out of there.
Pink Ranger-I know. And at this point. I really don't care. I'll do my best to save Chris. I have to save him!
Yellow Ranger-Zelda, we can't just let you go in alone.
Pink Ranger-We don't have much of a choice.
White Ranger-We'll be so worried about you.
Pink Ranger-Please, just go watch over Chris.
Lightwing adds.
Lightwing-I will keep watch over you Pink Ranger so if you get into serious trouble I'll bring you out.
The Pink Ranger nods. And the other Rangers reluctantly agree with her decision to go into the ghostly world alone.
Lightwing-Pink Ranger you have to go now.. The king's ghost is coming through.. And remember to stop all of this, you must destroy the Dark Lord.. That is the only way.. Jump into the pit, now!
She says.
Pink Ranger-Right.. I'm on my way.
Without hesitating.. The Pink Ranger leaps into the pit and magically as she falls, her body glows and disappears with the sound of a screeching wind. The Yellow Ranger looks down and yells out.
Yellow Ranger-ZELDA, PLEASE BE CAREFUL!
Seconds later, the Pink Ranger falls into a blurry looking forest.. She hit's the ground really hard.. And there's something else.. She is no longer the Pink Ranger.. She's her true self.. Zelda in the same outfit she had worn before. She exclaims after hurting her left leg a bit.
Zelda-Oh! That really hurt!
She gets up and looks around the blurry looking forest.
Zelda-I must be here.. In the ghost world now.
She notices her powers have powered down.
Zelda-Oh no! Did I lose my powers?
She shakes her head.
Zelda-No I couldn't of. The fall must have been too much and so I demorphed unwillingly. Hmm. I won't morph again till I really need my Ranger powers..
She looks around again and says to herself.
Zelda-Wow this place sure looks creepy. Really creepy.
She hears people talking frantically from the south area of where she stands.. So without thinking much, she hides behind the biggest tree she can find and watches for who ever she hears speaking. And I must say, the blurredness has disappeared so everything is clear.
Back to the others.. They have returned to the weather station. Lightwing has informed then that since Zelda jumped into the pit.. The spirit of the King and the spirits that were bursting out of the pit has been cut off from rising up in their world again. He also explains that the pit only served one reason and that was for someone to jump in.. And with Zelda now in the ghost world.. Magic has sealed the ghosts from coming out.
Back into the dead world.. Zelda is still hiding behind the large tree she found. Now she sees three women, and one man all dressed in very olden day looking clothes running across the forest very quickly. One woman who's about 5'6, has red hair that reaches her shoulders and a medium build falls on the ground and scrapes her knee on a medium sized rock.. She screams out in pain which make the others stop and rush back to her.. She says.
Linda-No, please go without me! You'll be much faster if you leave me here!
One of the other women who's name is Suzie and is 5'7, has blonde hair which is kind of short and a strong looking build responds to Linda with great disagreement.
Suzie-No, we can't leave you.
Linda-But I'll slow you down!
Suzie-Doesn't matter. We're not leaving you!
Just as they all attempt to help Linda back on her feet, two Soldiers all dressed in black arrive on two black horses. You can't really see what the Soldiers look like because their faces are covered in thick gray helmets.. Linda screams out in terror when the two Soldiers jump off their horses and draw out their swords. Suzie and the other two try to fight the Soldiers but their attempts are futile. Zelda gasps out in utter terror when one of the Soldiers plunge his sword deep into Suzie's chest.. She falls to the ground faster than the wind it seems..
The other Soldier heard Zelda's gasp and so his attention is drawn right towards the tree that she is hiding behind.. He asks in a deep tone.
Soldier 2-Who's behind that tree?! Come out and I promise your punishment will be lenient!
Soldier #1 follows his comrade therefore leaving Linda and the man to mourn Suzie's appeared death.. But she's not all the way gone.. No, she's still alive so to speak.
Soldier #1 asks his comrade.
Soldier #1-Who are you talking to?
Soldier #2-Someone is behind that tree and I intend to find out who it is!
Soldier #2 grabs Zelda's arm and pulls her away from the tree on the left side.. She exclaims.
Zelda-UGH! Let go of me!
Soldier #1 says.
Soldier #1-You're a pretty one..
Zelda yanks away her arm to pull it back a bit, she then thrusts both of her arms forward to knock down Soldier #2.. And she turns to deliver a swirl front kick at Soldier #1's helmet which means, when her foot hit's the ground, so does his head. She quickly rushes over to the obvious spirits and says to them.
Zelda-Come on, I don't know what I'm doing exactly.. But I'm going to take you away from here.
Linda asks her.
Linda-Who are you?
Zelda-Someone who cares and trying to save a friend!
Soldier #2 gets back up and says to Zelda as he makes his way over to her and the others.
Soldier #2-You're going to suffer for that one girl!
Linda shouts out.
Linda-Look out!
Zelda turns around just in time and conjures up a powerful wind storm as her hands glow brightly pink in the air.. She then directs the wind storm nicely.. Meaning the two soldiers are picked up and forced to crash into the large tree she was hiding behind minutes ago.. When they both fall to the ground they groan out in pain and disappear.
Zelda turns to Linda and the others only to find them gone. She gasps.
Zelda-Where did they go!?
She looks upward and sees four swirl type figures saying the same thing.
Spirits-Thank you.. We're free!
The spirits disappear into a twinkling light of power. Zelda says.
Zelda-Ok, those spirits have been freed.. Now I have to find the dark lord.
Back at the old weather station.. Nakia and the others cheer when they see Zelda has freed four spirits already.. By the way they're watching her through a portal type globe which was produced by Lightwing's magic of course. Kimberly says.
Kimberly-She did it! She saved four of them.
Chet says.
Chet-Keep it up Zelda.. We're with ya!
Back to Zelda.. She's traveling through the forest now.. Trying to find a way to find the dark lord even though she has no idea of where she's going exactly.
Anyway, on her way she spots a dirt road.. And on that road are four soldiers all together dressed in the same suit as the first two she had dealt with.. Two soldiers in the front have many people bound by chains connected to a moving wagon they are directing with the help of their dark horses. Zelda hides behind a rock and exclaims at the terrible sight.
Zelda-Oh that's so terrible!
She wants to hurry up to help the people.. But she can't right now.. Simply because the other two Soldiers are walking behind them.. And every time they slow down, they get hit on their backs with large black spiked whips. Zelda says to herself.
Zelda-Come on, Zelda.. Think, think! I have to do something.
She does think of something, as soon as she sees two rocks just the right size to throw.. But she must wait till everyone is at least a few feet away from her spot.
Five minutes pass, and Zelda decides that everyone is safely away from the spot she's standing on.. So she picks up the two rocks and moves over to the dirt road.. She looks directly at the two Soldiers in the back and says to herself.
Zelda-Alright Zelda.. Time for a strike!
She takes both rocks and rolls them on the ground very fast like a professional bowler.. Now she just waits. She cheers when both of the rocks knock down the two soldiers.. She says to herself as she picks up both spiked whips.
Zelda-Yes! And now..
She leaps up into the air and goes into cannonball flip mode.. Immediately she lands in the base of the wagon without the soldiers in front noticing her.. The people on the other hand do notice her. And when she looks at them, she notices their blurred type faces looking downright sorrowful. She turns back and crack both whips at the two soldiers.. They turn only to get their necks entrapped by the spiked whips.. Now, Zelda yanks hard to knock them to the ground.. And when the soldiers are on the ground, the wagon stops and the people stop walking as well.
Zelda now leaps out of the wagon to take on the two soldiers who have gotten up to draw their swords. But then she hears the people screaming because the two soldiers in the back start coming towards them with their swords out. Zelda says quickly.
Zelda-I've got to think fast! Hmm.. I know they're after me.. So..
She leaps up into the air again and goes back into cannonball flip mode. She lands closer to the soldiers in the back way and says.
Zelda-I hope I timed this right.
The other two soldiers from the front start running at Zelda.. And very quickly all four soldiers get close to Zelda from the front and back sides.. They draw back their swords and are ready to strike.. Instantly Zelda leaps upward into the sky very swiftly as the soldiers bring down their swords only to strike each other in a deadly quadruple strike.. When Zelda lands on her feet, the four soldiers are found on the ground, and slowly they disappear..
The people from the wagon start cheering as their bodies glow white and swirl up into the sky saying in unison.
Spirits-We're free. Free at least.. Our burden is free at last!
Then they disappear into a twinkling light.
At the weather station.. Everyone cheers Zelda again and notice how Chris is starting to look better.. Lightwing says.
Lightwing-Zelda is freeing the spirits who have been out of captivity so to speak.. But she must find the dark lord in order to free them all and end their war forever.
Nakia-She will Lightwing.. Zelda is a great Ranger.
Kimberly-She sure is.
Chet-She's totally smart too.
Ryan-Yeah.
Back to Zelda..
She's continuing on her way.. Then she stops to look at the dirt road and think.
Zelda-Maybe I can ask someone..
Her words are interrupted by someone who's walking down the road on the opposite way..
Old Wizard-So, it is you.. You are the one.
Zelda looks up and sees a man wearing a black cloak around his body.. His face is gravely old and very mean looking. He has a black mustache and a long black beard that is so long that it looks like you can climb it. Zelda asks.
Zelda-Who are you?!
Old Wizard-The question is.. Who are you?! You don't belong here.
Zelda-I know I don't. I'm here to help..
The Old Wizard stops walking and interrupts again.
Old Wizard-I have chosen the side of the dark lord to allow me to exist, therefore I am his servant in death.. I sensed the freedom of several spirits just moments ago. And you are the culprit!
Zelda-Culprit!?
Old Wizard-Yes, and for that you shall join the very souls you are seeking to save!
Zelda gasps and says.
Zelda-I don't think so!
Old Wizard-What can you do?
Zelda-Plenty!
Old Wizard-You must of appeared here through the mystical portal's eye! The one that miserable king opened with his glimpse of hope. Hahaha!
Zelda-Stop laughing! None of this is funny! My friend is suffering because of this war!
Old Wizard-Save your pity for yourself when you're tortured!
Zelda-That's not going to happen!
Old Wizard-You talk big words!
He waves around his hands which start to glow in a threatening sense as he continues.
Old Wizard-You have no magic! You are powerless against this world!
Zelda-Magic I don't have.. But power I have plenty of!
She raises her hands as they start to glow brightly pink.. The Old Wizard becomes puzzled at this.. So he stops waving his hands, and the glowing dies down..
Old Wizard-What is this?! Are you a sorceress!?
Zelda-No. I'm not!
The pink glowing on Zelda's hands start to increase.. The Old Wizard covers his eyes in fear.
Old Wizard-Where do you come from!? Are you from the light of heaven to guide the souls away from the dark lord's treachery!?
Zelda takes advantage of the Old Wizard's belief.. So she says.
Zelda-YES THAT'S RIGHT! I'M HERE TO GUIDE THE TORTURED SOULS TO HEAVEN AND AWAY FROM THIS WAR!
She continues in a softer tone.
Zelda-Feel the winds of heaven!
Zelda's glowing hands produce a powerful wind that is guided by pink glittering power. It surrounds the Old Wizard and lifts him up very high.. He says in fear.
Old Wizard-Let me down, please, I beg of you! Tell me what you want of me!
Zelda doesn't let him down.. But she does say.
Zelda-Take me to your dark lord. I want to confront him.
Old Wizard-Yes, oh angel of heaven.. I shall obey your whim and take you to the lord of darkness.
Zelda let's the old wizard back down by dissipating her wind power.. Her hands stop glowing pink as she says.
Zelda-No tricks old man.. I want you to take me exactly to your dark lord.
Old Wizard-And I shall.. Angel of heaven. I shall obey.
He starts leading her down the long dirt road as everything fades to black..
