Chapter Eight

Fellow Degenerate

In a matter of two minutes or so, Lily and Mina made their way back to where All Might and the other students were. Upon entering the room, Lily could tell that there was a bit of awkwardness within the room. Mainly towards Lily after what she displaced on the screen they were watching. The lingering silence was interrupted by All Might speaking.

"Excellent work you two. You both showed amazing teamwork out there. The MVP for this fight would have to be Mina and Lily." He said, which took Mina by surprise. "Anyone know why they're the MVP?"

"Is it because they won the fight?" Mineta asked as the symbol of peace shook his head.

"Nope, anyone else?" he asked as some of the students were pondering what else could there be. The one to answer his question was Momo who spoke up.

"Sir, it was because they were working as a team. Lily came up with a defensive plan given how she could tell that there was no way for Mina to counter Iida's speed, nor could she fight head-on with Bakugo given his battle prowess. So it would be obvious that she would take on Bakugo given her skills from her time living on the streets as the villain killer." Momo said before looking at Lily with an apologetic expression. "No offense, Lily."

"Oh, none taken. What you're saying is true. Though I didn't account for Bakugo's gauntlet being actual grenades or the sudden speed burst from Iida." She said before looking over her school uniform. "Gonna have to keep that in mind next time I fight them, but continue with your explanation please."

"Thank you," Momo said before continuing her explanation. "Not to mention she was fully prepared to support her partner with the means of that gemstone she gave Mina and those metal knight bunny creatures she made...though I don't think it was legal on her part. Iida and Bakugo didn't have a plan from what I'm assuming. Though Iida did a good job at being the villain, Bakugo failed at being part of a team. If he had worked together with Iida, then it would be possible to take Lily down, and takedown Mina while securing the bomb. But something tells me that the metal knights would've restrained both boys if Lily or Mina gave them the order to do so...right?" She asked while looking over at Lily who was grinning.

"She's right about that," Lily said with a slight grin. "Had something like that happen, then I would've used the knights to do just that."

"Um...well. There were a few things that you missed. But all in all, you did well at explaining it." All Might said while giving Momo a thumb's up. "Great job with your explanation." He said before turning his attention onto the other students. "Alright, next up for the match. Kirishima and Sato versus Kaminari and Jiro! Head over to the training grounds and we'll begin the match!" He yelled as the two teams headed off towards the training ground.

"Well, that went better than expected. Keep up the good work, and you'll get the handle of things in no time." Artoria said as Lily leans back against the wall of the room she was in.

"Let's hope so," Lily said mentally before examining her torn-up clothes slowly repairing themselves. "Thank god for the auto repair I placed on these clothes…though I think I'll have to increase the repair time on it."

"You can do that after the class, but for now. Try and make do with what you have now." She said as Lily let out a sigh of annoyance. She soon reached into her tail to pull out a box that was about the size of a shoebox. Upon opening it, the content that was inside was filled with macaroons with an apple pie-like filling inside of them. Though the size of the macaroons was about the size of a large donut. The moment she was about to eat one of them, she felt a pair of eyes lock onto her from the side of her. The pseudo servant turned her attention to the right and saw Mineta staring at her. There was a moment of silence between the two before Lily made the first move and tossed a macaroon over to him.

"Here, catch." She said as it took Mineta by surprise as he barely caught the pastry in his hand. "You look like you're hungry." The grape-haired boy simply blinked in surprise by her action as he looked over at the macaroon a bit before looking back at Lily. "What? I didn't lace it with anything if that's what you're worried about?" The moment she said that Mineta took a bit out of it. The young man's eyes widened upon taking a bite out of it as a burst of flavor coated his tongue. He lets out a slight moan of pleasure from the taste he was getting from the macaroon.

"Dear god. It's like an orgasm of flavor nutted into my mouth, and I was the girl in this situation~!" He said as it caused Lily to burst out laughing.

"Never knew my cooking was that good. Then again I've been eating for years so I'm used to the taste of it." Lily said before taking out another Macaroon and beginning to eat it.

"Wait, you don't find it weird that I said that?" he asked as the bunny girl shook her head. "You're not going to hit me are you if I turn around."

"Why would I do that?"

"Well…You must've heard of my reputation by now…right?" Mineta asked as Lily shrugged.

"I've only been here for a couple of hours, I doubt I'll be able to get information on your reputation. But something tells me that you're not very well-liked among the girls in this class."

"How do you know that?" he asked as Lily pointed over at Momo and Jirou glaring at him.

"Could be the fact that you were staring at Momo's ass and boobs. I can't blame you due to how she's dressed…she needs to put on some more protection than just that kind of costume." She said before smirking at him staring at her. "And you're pretty much looking at me like I'm a piece of candy in your eye~"

"W-Well can you blame me!? You look like one of those girls in a fighting game that if you keep hitting them, their clothes will come off."

"Hm…I can see what you mean." She said before looking over herself for a while before shrugging and taking another bite from her food. "Got a name kid?"

"The name's Minoru Mineta, but you can call me Mineta for short."

"Lily Lilac, but I'm pretty sure you already knew that," Lily said before sliding down onto the floor. "Any reason why you're here next to me? Not that I'm complaining or anything."

"W-Well I wanted to see if you were okay. I mean that fight you had with Bakugo and Iida was cool. No wonder you were able to send Endeavor flying off into the stream of water."

"...Wait, how do you know what I did to that guy?" She asked as Mineta pulled out his cellphone and showed her a video clip of her fight with Endeavor and Ryukyu.

"Someone recorded the fight and uploaded it on youtube. So far, it has about five-hundred thousand likes and two-million views."

"...Well…shit. There goes trying to keep a low profile in this school."

"Which begs the question. Why are you in this school to begin with? I mean, given how you're the villain killer, shouldn't they have sent you to jail or something?"

"They say I can be an amazing hero for hero society." She said with a slight chuckle in her voice. "So I'm going to see how far they'll go to try and mold me into their so-called proper hero."

"You're planning on leaving this place?"

"Only if they try to capture...but not before kicking some asses along the way." She said before noticing a shocked expression on his face.

"You can't be serious? This school is full of pro-heroes, not to mention All Might is here. What makes you think you can take them down like that?"

"...Because no matter what they are, or what title they have. They're still human no matter what." Lily answered. "Poison, paralysis agents, sleep gas, the list goes on. Just because you have an awesome quirk, doesn't mean you're not vulnerable to ailments like that." She said before finishing up her snack as she continued. "No matter how strong you are, we're all just human. Nothing more, nothing less."

"I…never really thought about it like that."

"Understandable, but let's not get too much into something like that." She said before offering him another macaroon while patting the ground next to her. "Let's just hang out and chat before the next fight?" Mineta blinks in surprise at the offer as he looks around for a moment. So far the class seems to be busy with watching the fight so it seems he didn't have to worry so much about it. The young man simply shrugs as she takes another macaroon and takes a seat next to her.

"It's…weird." He said after taking a bite out of his macaroon. "I honestly thought you were going to tell me to get lost or something like most of the girls do."

"I assume you did something to piss them off?" She asked as Mineta nodded. "I'm going to assume you groped or stared at their asses or breasts?"

"It's not my fault! It's just..hard to keep a conversation if they're going to show off their assets like that." He said before slightly glancing at the girls of 1A before looking back at Lily. "I mean, I know it's wrong, but…I just want girls to like me. Is that so wrong?"

"Is that the reason why you wanted to become a hero?"

"It's a stupid reason, I know. But…I see heroes being showered by women because they're cool, good-looking and save their lives. I want to be a hero like that."

"Hm, while I do understand where you're coming from. But I think you're going about this the wrong way." She said before raising a hand towards Mineta after noticing he was about to talk. "I'm not saying that you shouldn't be a hero, I'm just saying that you need to change your perspective on things."

"What do you mean?"

"Well look at it from the girl's perspective. You're a pervert that has been known for harassing women from what you've told me. If you continue to do that sort of thing during your time here, it will be following you to whatever job you're going to do as a hero. And given how hero society is, they're never going to hire you as a hero or worse. The black list you." She said before noticing the color on Mineta's skin turning pale. "Which is why you need to stop what you're doing now before it's too late, or at least get it under control."

"How do I do that? It's not like I can just snap my finger and it'll just go away."

"No, but I think I might know of a way to do that," Lily said as Mineta raised an eyebrow at her. "I'll make a deal. If you apologize to every girl you harassed, then I'll let you grope any part of my body until you either find a girlfriend or your sexual drive is calm down."

"Wait for real!?" Mineta asked in surprise. "Wait, is this some kind of trap or something by one of the teachers?"

"I'm the villain killer, you think I work with a bunch of heroes that dislike me?"

"Fair point…You're serious about this?" He asked as Lily nodded. "I can touch you without having to worry about getting slapped in the face or getting thrown out a window?"

"So long as you stick to groping, then I won't have to almost kill you."

"...Why?"

"Why what?"

"You barely know me, and you're willing to help me with my problem. Are you expecting something in return for this?" he asked as Lily shook her head. "Then why are you helping me?"

"My…quirk allows me to see the evil inside of a person's body. Though you may act like a pervert, you have never gone so far as to try and rape some girl. I'm going to assume childhood wasn't that kind to you?" She asked as Mineta looked away from her gaze in shame. Upon noticing this, she placed a hand on his head. "You're a nice kid, Mineta. You just need someone to keep you on the right track. Or to be more specific, a chill friend with benefits…not sex-related benefits mind you." The pseudo servant smirked at Mineta as she offered him a hand to shake. "Degenerates like us gotta stick together. So do we have a deal?"

Mineta looked down at Lily's hand before looking up at her. What she said was true. He was a degenerate. Hated by a lot of girls due to his actions during the past couple of days in school. Because of that, he didn't get along with that many people, especially the girls. Yet Lily didn't find him disgusting. She didn't tell him to buzz off, throw anything at him, or threaten to throw him out the window if he tried to start up a conversation with her. No…all she did was offer him a snack and a place to chill. He had a strange burning sensation in his chest. It wasn't heartburn or anything…was it pride to find someone to put up with his perverted nature and not judge him? Whether it was fate or an act of God, it didn't matter to him. He found a girl who was willing to be his friend.

"Alright, you got a deal," Mineta said as he shook Lily's hand in accepting the deal.

"Perfect, now let's enjoy the show." She said before turning her attention onto the screen. Though she would hear Artoria's voice speak up.

"I'm a bit surprised. You're willing to let that pervert grope your body like it was a piece of meat. Why is that?"

"You read his mind, right? You should get a grasp as to the expression he had on his face when I mentioned childhood."

"Picked on because of his height by a bunch of bullies, girls find him disgusting because of how his quirk is, hanged out with other degenerates like himself, and the big kicker was his father leaving his wife to do how Mineta will be short for the rest of his life due to a genetic defect along with only having a mutation quirk and nothing else," Artoria said as she let out an annoyed grunt. "I can see why this kid would look up to heroes like that. Mainly because he noticed that girls fan over heroes like candy."

"I figure why not throw the kid a bone. Once in a while. It would help out with his self-esteem, and help him realize his wrongdoing."

"You think the school would do something about his actions."

"Pretty sure it was just a slap on the wrist and let him go on his merry way. This way, I'll make sure he doesn't do that."

"Kind of like a big sister?"

"...I…never actually thought of that…but I guess so."

"Hm…you're a nice person, even though you say that you're never nice."

"Shut it and just watch the fight." Lily thought as she returned her attention to the screen.
