Mercedes gasped as she woke up, sitting straight up as sweat poured from her face. She looked around and noticed that she was in her living room, confused at all the sudden emotions she was feeling as she tried to gather herself. Hearing footsteps behind her, she turned and found Santana staring at her like she had seen a ghost, "Why are you looking at me like that?"

"Maybe because you've been sleep for like three days straight."

It was her turn to give her look, "What are you talking about?"

"After the movie, you feel asleep and didn't wake back up. I was worried so I called 911, EMTs came and checked on you. They said that everything looked normal. I called the doctor to make sure and he said that it was probably your body just shutting down from exhaustion."

"Is the baby alright?"

"Yeah, Poppy's with Chi."

"No, I'm talking about the baby. I'm pregnant."

"Pregnant? You're not pregnant." Santana responded before raising a brow and looking at her cautiously, "Unless you have something to tell me…"

What?" She said lowly as her head began to pound, the flashes of the memories started to go through her mind but also slowly fade the longer she pondered over it. She haunched over and held her head in her hands, "What is going on?"

"Hey, take it easy." Santana said as she came and took a seat next to her, staring at her worriedly as she grabbed her hand, "Tell me what happened."

Mercedes closed her eyes as she took a deep breath, recounting everything to her as she remembered, "Sam and I had an argument in Vegas. I came back and started therapy. He left and went to Chicago then came back with some girl as his new trainer. Angelo and I were back on good terms. I am….well was pregnant. Thanksgiving…."

"None of that but therapy happened, Cedes…which was literally three days ago. Sam thought about going to Chicago, per your dad but he didn't. He's staying with his mom and sister for a few weeks to get himself together. That's what he told your dad yesterday."

Mercedes lifted her head at that and looked at her, "So we're back on good terms?"

"I don't think so." Santana commented as she stood up from the couch, looking at her friend strangely, "I've never seen you like this before."

"Me either. Everything felt so real…." She drifted off as she absently placed her hand on her stomach. Why was she still holding after knowing that nothing was there? Why did she all of a sudden feel empty and sad.?

Santana watched her for a moment before she spoke, "How about you go take a nice hot bath while I cook us some dinner. You definitely need to get some food in your system. We can talk about it some more if you want."

"Yeah, ok." She mumbled absently as stood up from the couch, wobbling a little bit as she grabbed the arm of the couch to steady herself. As she gathered herself, she let go and started making her way to the back. She couldn't believe that this was happening. She felt as if she was really loosing her mind in this moment.

After Sam left the bar that night with Mike, he had went back to his condo and laid out on his couch. That whole trip just exhausted him in more ways than one. He really did contemplate going back to Chicago for a minute and to reconnect with the people who brought him out of Oakland but a phone call from his mother changed that. Things went from bad to worse once he was headed to Reno. His sister had got into a car accident. Thankfully, she was ok. She had a sprained wrist, inflamed shoulder and a few minor scrapes and bruises, but he was still scared for her.

Sabrina watched as he opened the juice for her and placed the straw it in, handing it to her in her good hand, "Thank you, Sam."

"I'm going to see if I can get you some more pillows so you can be extra comfortable when the medicine kick in."

"Sam, I'm….fine." She faded off when he closed the door, turning her head to look at their mother, "Mom, I love him but he's getting on my nerves."

Emily chuckled as she gave her a small smile, "You're his sister, baby. He's worried about you."

"I know but I'm the least of his worries right now. He needs to be going to fix things with Mercedes." She said as she rolled her eyes, "God, he doesn't realize that she's the one and that he deserve her."

"You can't rush love. They'll eventually find their way back to each other."

"They should've never fallen apart again in the first place. Sam is so stupid sometimes and I mean that in the meanest way possible." She said seriously as she sat the juice down on the table, "Like, how can he be so freaking dumb?"

"Ease up on your brother, sweetheart. You know how he is." She commented just as the door opened, seeing that it was Sam, who indeed came back with a good amount of pillows, "Honey, have a seat. You've been running every since you got here."

"I just want to make sure she's comfortable." He responded before looking at her, "Do you need something?"

"Everything I need is already in this room." Emily said with a smile on her face, receiving one from both of her kids just as there was a knock on the door. She turned her head and watched as Liam, Sabrina's boyfriend, came in, her smile faltering a bit when she noticed the other man behind him.

"I came as soon as I heard."

Sam watched as Liam came over and spoke to him before going to his sister. He had met the boy about two years ago when he was just the friend. He was good kid and very respectful, so he had no problem with him. If it went by stereotypes of the outside world, they gave the book-smart nerd meets a tough female athlete but what people didn't realize, they meshed so well. He had turned his head when he realized that he wasn't by himself. Looking over and seeing the man give his mother a hug a little too touchy, it raised flags, "Who are you?"

Liam glanced at him as his pushed his glasses up on his face, confused momentarily, "You know me, Sam."

"Not you." He waved him off, his eyes focused on the man who was standing next to his mother, pointing, "I'm talking about you."

"Daniel Hernandez." The man offered as he looked at Sam, holding out his hand as he moved forward, "I'm your mom's boyfriend."

"You're dating someone?" Sam ignored his hand as he glanced at his mom with a raised brow, taken aback by the sudden revelation, "Especially someone who looks my age."

"I'll take that as a compliment." He tried to lighten the mood as he looked at him, slowly realizing he wasn't helping his case at all, "I'm 36."

"Just turned 36 the other day." Sabrina commented, then her face twitched up in confusion, cutting off the impending rant of her brother, the pain medicine in her system as her mouth just wouldn't stop talking now and only further making things worse, "Wait, you didn't know about him? They've been together for a year now. I never mentioned it because I was too invested in your drama. They plan on moving in together when I go to college in September."

"Okay Sabrina, get you some rest." Emily stepped in as she sent her a look to her daughter, whose eyes were closing with a satisfied smile on her face. She glanced over to him and spoke, "Let's talk outside."

Sam scoffed quietly as he moved passed him and headed out the room, running his hands over his face as he took a deep breath and looked at her as she came out the room.

Emily stared at him for a moment before opening her mouth, "I was going to tell you."

"A year mom, really?" Sam asked before he stepped back when the door opened, eyes watching as the man came out of the room and stood beside her, his hand finding hers wordlessly before he turned his attention to him. He couldn't believe that his mom had been keeping her relationship from him for a whole year.

"Sam."

"I'm going to go." He stopped her from whatever she was about say and turned around to leave. It was too much for him to take in at the moment and he honestly didn't want to hear anything they had to say.

Later that day, Sam had been pacing a hole in the floor for the past couple of hours. He didn't know why but he was just so overwhelmed with everything. He had so many thoughts running through his head, he just couldn't focus in on one. But eventually, he came out his puzzlement when the doorbell ring. Taking a deep breath, he headed down the side steps and to the front door. His first mistake was opening it without checking, and he realized that when he was once again taken aback by the woman standing in front of him.

"Hi."

"Hey." He responded back as he looked down at her, trying to grasp that she was actually here standing in front of him, "What are you doing here?"

"I wanted to come visit." She replied with a shrug and a nervous laugh as she glanced over to her luggage, "My luck, all the hotels, for whatever reason, were booked and some were just too expensive."

"It's a festival going on this week." He responded as he continued to stare at her, "I'm sure mom wouldn't mind you staying here, so you're welcomed."

She nodded her head before meeting his eyes with hers, biting on the corner of her bottom lip, "What about you?"

Sam didn't say anything, instead, he moved to the side and left her in. He wasn't that dumb to not let her inside despite everything. He looked outside before he closed and locked the door behind them. This couldn't be good and he didn't believe that he could handle it right now.

A/N. You are confusion right? As Biggie Smalls once said "It was all a dream." Hehe :) and the drama continues!
