A Few Days After Fairy Tail's Descendants Heard Stories From Their Ancestors
BGM: The Letters (Creed III)
Deep within a gym in Vale, Kotoko was practicing her MMA on a punching bag. "Hah… hah…" Kotoko panted between breaths, quickly delivering vicious punches and kicks.
She was wearing a pastel pink hooded sweatshirt with a white T-shirt underneath, a pair of gray sweat shorts, a pair of white gym sneakers with pink accents and black tactical fingerless gloves.
However, as she continued to swing at the bag…
"Kotoko, you were cute, as always! The director, the producers, the sponsors, everybody was super happy!"
"Rrrgh!" Kotoko growled, picturing the punching bag as those filthy adults that sexually abused her after being whored out by those… well, calling them parents would be an insult to actual parents. All of this from her mother as a form of twisted motherly love.
"And now… that's another business that you have to attend to. And your mom's gonna come with, okay?"
Kotoko gritted her teeth furiously, her mind flashing to those sick twisted pedophilic assholes who wanted to be "gentle" with her, being forced by her mother to join her in that stupid "mother-daughter set" during meetings with certain clients, etc.
"It's going to be alright… Kotoko is just so sweet… Everyone will be gentle with you…"
A snarl came out of Kotoko's lips, continuing to unleash more powerful and forceful attacks that nearly had the punching bag fly off of its chains.
"Very, very gentle…"
She kicked harder, flashing back to that time when Monaca intentionally played around with her trauma and made her do her dirty work all those years ago in Towa City… not to mention it was made worse when Monaca just did it for her own amusement.
"I know you're just a sweet, gentle little girl."
"...Huh? Gen… tle…? N-no..! I don't want… gentle…! I-I'll do anything, please…! Just not that…! I-I'll do my best, with singing… and acting…! So pleeeease…! Anything but gentle…!"
"Oh, oopsies~! I totally forgot. Gentle is bad, baaaaaad word for Kotoko~"
"HRAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!" Aura flared out of Kotoko's body as she unleashed one strong punch towards the punching bag, sending it flying off of its chain towards the other side of the room with a hole punctured by its side, sand spilling out of it.
"Hah… hah… hah…" She panted heavily, her forehead coated with sweat together with her pink hair as she took a few deep breaths to calm herself down and wiped the sweat off her forehead with a towel.
Once she had calmed down, she walked toward a pile of punching bags and grabbed another one. She lifted the bag with both arms as she made her way back and tried to hang it on the chain above her… unfortunately, she couldn't reach up towards the chain mostly because of the heavy weight of the bag plus her small height. She let out a groan immediately after.
"Allow me to help you with that." A gym manager said as he was nearby, picking it up for her and then placing it on the chain.
"Thank you… sorry about what-"
"Ah, don't worry about it. The gym won't press charges for it. It's not exactly the first time someone accidentally destroyed a punching bag with their sheer strength."
Kotoko smiled as the gym manager walked away. She closed her eyes to psych herself up. She opened her eyes, ready to swing once more.
"Kotoko?"
End BGM
Kotoko turned her head, seeing Hazel approaching her as he was also training at the gym. "Uncle Hazel?" She asked in surprise "Wh-why are you here?"
"I was just exercising on my own until I heard loud noises echoing from a different part of the gym. I went to investigate out of curiosity, and what do I find but my own niece training by herself and causing the bag to fly off of its handle.:
Kotoko blushed in embarrassment. "My bad…"
BGM: Mickey (Rocky III)
"However, I've also noticed you were experiencing a bit of distress earlier."
"Ah… that? Hahaha! That's just stress from the intensity of the training!" She waved it off. "Don't worry abou-"
"I doubt it's just stress. Something's bothering you."
…Crap. Kotoko thought. Well, guess I can't beat around the bush with my uncle.
With a deep breath, she looked at him in the eye. "Back when I was living in Towa City in my world, I… was a popular child actress at the time. At first, I thought it'd be fun to try it but… then I got whored out by my biological parents to a bunch of producers almost immediately. In their eyes, they thought I'd be more famous that way. Then… it got worse as time and time again, mom told me to be "gentle" and all that bullshit to the point where the word "gentle" was nothing more than a trigger word. A trauma button, if you will. Don't get me started on Hope's Peak Elementary and my involvement in the adult-child war at Towa City during the Tragedy…"
Hazel said nothing as rage flared inside of him, feeling absolutely furious over her biological parents in her world doing something so despicable to a child. The thought of it absolutely disgusted him. And yet, he also felt sympathetic because he knew his niece shouldn't have gone through with it.
Tears swelled in Kotoko's eyes. "I thought I had made progress… I didn't freak out when I heard the word "gentle" when we were at Skyloft… but after all the help I got from my family, along with my therapy sessions with Bereto… my past will always sneak up on me…"
Instinctively, Hazel knelt down and gave her the most comforting hug he could give her. "You've been making excellent progress… and hey, sometimes we have our moments, but don't beat yourself up for it. We always fight our way out of it. The fact that you're making progress proves just that."
Kotoko sweetly smiled. "Thanks, uncle…"
"You mind if I share a story of my own?"
"Go for it."
"Long ago, I had a sister named Gretchen. She was very kind, yet she tended to be quite sassy sometimes. Sometimes she'd be a bit bossy just to get a reaction out of me."
"Heh, sounds like a true sibling…" She said, smiling at her playful "arguments" with Mine.
"Indeed. One day, she wanted to go to Beacon Academy. Personally, I thought Haven was the better choice and didn't want her to go to Beacon, but she insisted. Then… she died."
"Oh my…"
"Indeed. I was so angry with Ozpin that I initially joined Salem's group to get my revenge on him. However, thankfully, plans changed when that Dimentio clown had me talk it out with Ozpin. Dimentio's influence had caused me to part from Salem-"
Huh, I guess that clown IS good for something. Kotoko thought.
"After that, I didn't know what to do until Laxus and Mercury came by and offered me to be part of the Thunder Legion. After all, I think this is what Gretchen would have wanted… seeing me use my abilities for good rather than working with someone like her. Not only that, but I feel as if she were alive today, she would definitely love you as her niece."
Kotoko smiled. "I… honestly feel a lot better after listening to that." She said, returning the hug. "I could actually learn a thing or two from you."
End BGM
Hazel chuckled, and then an idea came to his head. "Hey, how about starting tomorrow, I can help train you?"
Kotoko smiled. "Sure, I'm game!"
"Good. Bring Mine with you too. I'd need an extra pair of hands."
"You got it~!"
Later that night, at Mine and Kotoko's home…
Mine and Kotoko ate dinner together, along with their parents.
The mother had light pink hair down to her shoulders as she had soft pink eyes, wearing a soft blue blouse while wearing a pair of black jeans, a pair of black flats with gold buckles, and a pair of silver half-rimmed glasses over her eyes. Her name was Elisheba Strauss, Eli for short.
The father, meanwhile, had short silver hair with light pink highlights and blue eyes. He simply wore a white dress shirt with a blue necktie, a pair of khakis with a white leather belt with a silver buckle wrapped around the waist, and a pair of brown leather shoes, looking like a formal businessman. His name was Angelico Strauss.
"How was your day, Kotoko?" Eli asked, her voice soft and slightly melodic in a way.
"Oh, pretty good. I met uncle Hazel at the gym earlier and he offered to help train me tomorrow. He also wanted Mine to come along."
"Huh? Really?" Mine asked between bites.
"Yeah!"
"Really? Oh wow…" Eli mused.
"That's interesting." Angelico mused but then smiled. "Well, this does give you both the opportunity to get to know your uncle a little more." He said.
"Indeed!" Their mother smiled.
"So, what do you need me for?" Mine wondered.
"He needs an extra pair of hands."
Mine's eyes sparkled. "Oh, really? Well, actually, I have the perfect venue in mind!"
"Really?"
"Yeah!" Mine grinned. "We'll go to it in the morning!"
"Okay!"
The next day…
Hazel was sitting on the edge of the fountain in Toad Town, waiting for his nieces. He had received a text from Mine earlier, telling him to meet them at the fountain in Toad Town square.
At that moment, the sisters arrived. "So, we ready to go, big guy?" Mine asked.
Hazel nodded, standing up. "Lead the way." He smiled as Mine turned around and walked off with Kotoko walking with her, wondering what the "venue" was supposed to be.
Later, through Dimble Wood…
"And here we are~!" Mine smiled, as they had arrived at the secret location.
"Whoa!" Kotoko said in surprise. "It's beautiful…"
"Breathtaking…" Hazel said.
"Yeah, you can thank Akame for finding this spot. Hell, Akame showed Ruby this spot when she needed that extra love." Mine said. "...Though, given how I don't remember seeing these flowers here, or that vine diving board, something tells me Ruby definitely needed it."
"By the way, was that pit there before?" Kotoko asked, referring to before they got there.
"Honestly? Not really… come to think of it, it looked dinosaur-like sized. Not to mention there were some tire tracks…" Mine rubbed her chin. "Eh, probably nothing too wild!"
She walked forward, nearly tripping over. "Wah!" She yelped as she looked down, noticing a T-Rex sized footprint on the ground. "The hell…? What happened here?" She wondered.
"My guess, it's a T-Rex sized Grimm." Hazel said.
"Ugh, well, it's probably dead now." Mine waved it off.
Meanwhile, at New Donk City…
"By the way, ma'am. How did Mario enjoy the T-Rex?"
Pauline laughed nervously. "Apparently, he didn't like the idea, but I'm sure he'll warm up to it! Besides, the T-Rex is playful. He'll be a riot with the kids, that's for sure!"
Back from Pauline's "la la land"...
"Here's hoping… though I would hope to see if I could land a powerful hit against the beast. Oh well." Kotoko shrugged.
"Regardless, this seems to be the perfect spot without any interference." Hazel said.
"Alright… let's get this party started!"
BGM: Chasing the Torrents (Genshin Impact)
"Hah! Hah! Ha!" Kotoko cried, throwing in fierce attacks and kicks as Hazel was able to block them easily as he delivered some swift counters. Kotoko was able to backflip or weave her head around the attacks, both of them having a playful smirk on their faces as they delivered strong blows.
"Geez, they act like this isn't a sparring session." Mine said, munching on some jerky while cleaning Pumpkin.
Hazel watched on as Mine had her Gorebyss unleash Hydro Pump on Kotoko's Machamp, who stood strong and powered through, proceeding to use Cross Chomp.
"Dodge it, Koral!"
"Goreee!" Gorebyss avoided the attack, proceeding to use Aqua Ring on herself before unleashing Psychic.
"Champ… Champ…!"
"Come on, Adonis! Work it!"
Adonis took a step forward, and then another step, before delivering a Dynamic Punch that knocked the Gorebyss away, only for Koral to shake it off as Aqua Ring was still in play.
"That's the spirit!" Kotoko grinned.
"Wonder how long that Aqua Ring is in effect for…" Hazel wondered.
"Yah! Hah!" Kotoko and Hazel threw a punch, hitting each other square in the cheek before they pulled away, and then Kotoko sweep kicked him but Hazel jumped over and punched the ground, creating a small shockwave that knocked Kotoko off her feet, but she was able to spring back up.
"Aaaah…" Kotoko sighed as she took a dip in the lake with Mine, the latter having brought their swimsuits as they relaxed.
Hazel, meanwhile, climbed the vine springboard that Ruby had created, making sure it was sturdy enough. With a smirk, he jumped off and landed in the water, splashing the sisters.
"Ack! Plepth!" Mine cried, suddenly having a Cheep Cheep in her mouth who was just as surprised while a Lumineon flailed about on Kotoko's head.
"My bad." Hazel said as the sisters put the Lumineon and Cheep Cheep back in the water.
"So that's what raw fish tastes like… blegh! How does Blake even do it?"
"Seriously, how long does this Aqua Ring last for?" Kotoko asked in annoyance.
"Don't look at me, I thought it would have worn off by now!" Mine said.
"Champ Champ…" Adonis looked at the Gorebyss in annoyance who simply shrugged sheepishly.
"Raaaaaaaaah!" Kotoko threw an uppercut strong enough to knock Hazel to the ground… or at least, he would but he managed to stay strong by pulling a Bald Bull maneuver.
"Huh?!" Both girls yelled.
"I'll be honest… I didn't think I'd pull that off."
"Holy shit…" Kotoko whimpered.
"Eevai vai vai!"
"Fairy Fairy!"
"Hmmm?" Kotoko turned her head as she was walking around, seeing an angry Primeape bullying an Eevee and a Clefairy. "Hey!" She growled, stepping up as the Eevee and Clefairy hid behind her. "Why are you bullying these two Pokemon?"
"Primeape Ape Ape Ape!" The Primeape put up its fists angrily, glaring at Kotoko for daring to interfere.
"Alright, Adonis. Let's teach this Primeape some respect!"
"Champ!" Her Machamp agreed as both the Machamp and Primeape proceeded to get into a fist fight, although, given the two hand advantage, Adonis grabbed the Primeape mid fight and proceeded to use Seismic Toss to knock the Mankey out for the count.
Kotoko pulled out a Poke Ball. "I think I'll give you to uncle Hazel as a gift… and a token of appreciation that he was willing to hang out with the two of us." He said, throwing it directly at the Primeape, where it clicked after three shakes. "Booyah!"
Nearby, Mine walked by while holding a Kelbi around her neck after killing it. "Hmm? Oh, guess she caught a few Pokemon." She chuckled and walked back to the site.

Later that night…
The trio were eating some venison and mushroom stew from the Kelbi that Mine had killed earlier, as the Eevee and Clefairy (both named Amara and Bianca) were eating as well. The Primeape, named Rocky, also ate. He was also a lot calmer than earlier.
"Ape ape Prime." The Primeape said calmly, apologizing to the duo.
"Eevai vow vee." Amara smiled.
"Clefairy Fair!" Bianca smiled as well.
"Kotoko, is it alright if I asked you something?" Hazel asked.
"Hmm? Sure thing, Uncle Hazel. What is it?" She asked with a smile.
Hazel smiled back as he chuckled. "Earlier during break this afternoon, your sister told me that you wanted to become a Pokemon Trainer other than a travel vlogger. Why is that?"
BGM: Family Visit (Creed II)
"Hmm…" Kotoko rubbed her chin in contemplation, thinking about it. "Well, truth is, I want to become a Pokemon Trainer because I want to become something that I can actually work hard through on my own merit. Become more skilled and well-known in something through serious hard work instead of being forced to go through questionable and controversial methods. Not to mention becoming a Pokemon Trainer will also grant me the opportunity to travel around the Pokemon world and go on exciting battles with other strong trainers out there."
She smiled. "Honestly, out of all the regions out there… I want to go to either Johto, Galar or Paldea. I've heard from that Victor guy that Paldea's actually a fun place to be at."
Hazel and Mine both looked at her with pride.
Even with all that trauma, you're just using it as a stepping stone to become a better person… using it as a motivator to protect your loved ones. Mine teared up. Ah, dammit, I was hoping I wasn't gonna cry!
Hazel chuckled. Proud of you, kiddo.

Later, after everyone decided to turn in…
Mine and Kotoko were in a tent together, the former saluting with her eyes scrunched shut while letting her jaw slack and her upper lip appearing jagged.
"Hmmm…" Kotoko rubbed her chin while trying not to laugh. "Are you… a Wobbuffet?"
"Yup!" She giggled.
"Alright, my turn!"
Kotoko wrapped her blanket around herself while also forming a deadpanned expression.
"Let's see… aha! You're a Swadloon!"
Kotoko grinned. "Yeah!"
Mine picked up two Pokeballs, then placed Kotoko's Clefairy on her head.
"Hmm… Jumpluff?"
"Heck yeah!" Mine nodded, placing Bianca down.
"Fairy Fair…" Bianca giggled.
Kotoko lay on her back, placing a pillow underneath her shirt and closed her eyes, which was enough for Mine to nearly fall over in laughter. "Snorlax!"
"Bingo~!" Kotoko giggled, sitting up after removing the pillow.
Mine got on all fours, placing the Eevee and Clefairy on her back while her face then assumed a relaxed expression.
"Oh oh! Camerupt!"
"You got it~!" Mine giggled as the Eevee and Clefairy hopped off, both giggling.
Kotoko then stood up, putting her right hand forward while putting up a more stern expression, manipulating her fingers to only where her ring, middle and index were present.
Mine tilted her head, folding her arms in curiosity. "...Oh! Mewtwo!"
"Yeah!" Kotoko nodded before sitting down.
BGM: The Champ (Creed III)
"Aw man… this is great." Mine smiled. "You've definitely changed for the better, that's for sure."
"You think so?"
"Yeah… instead of being this sassy know it all, you've definitely turned into this compassionate young lady who knows how to throw a mean punch."
"I didn't hurt you that badly when we sparred that one time, right?"
"Not really… I was more concerned for you when I went Demon Soul, not to mention you don't have an aura like me."
"Nah, it'll take more than that to knock me down!" Kotoko chuckled.
"That's what I thought." Mine smiled. "Still, you've come a long way. I'm honestly proud to call you my sister."
"I feel the same way." Kotoko smiled back as the two hugged. "Love you sis…"
"Love you too." Mine smiled, the two of them holding each other for a while. "I'm proud of you too…"
"Thanks." Kotoko smiled before they broke the hug, proceeding to turn in for the night.
End BGM
The next morning…
"Mmm…" Mine woke up stretching alongside her Slowbro and Gorebyss, the latter having a makeshift large water dish for her to stay hydrated. She turned her head to see Kotoko's sleeping bag empty. "...Huh?"
BGM: A Transparent Moon - Liuli Pavillion (Genshin Impact)
Mine walked out of the tent in a hurry. "Kotoko?" She called out to her. She immediately started to look for her, slowly getting worried for her.
"Slow!" Cayden spoke up, pointing up ahead to see Kotoko on the topmost part of a rocky outcrop, quietly practicing her tai chi together with her Pokemon. Amusingly, Amara was trying to stand on her hind legs and did a few kicks. The Eevee nearly fell over, but Bianca helped her steady, along with Adonis as well.
"I've never seen an Eevee stand on their hind legs before…" Mine said with a chuckle before sighing in relief that Kotoko wasn't hurt.
At that moment, Hazel walked over with Rocky accompanying him. "I was wondering where you two ran off." He said.
"Sorry, I was looking for her."
"Ah, don't worry." Hazel said, looking at his younger niece with a proud smile. "She's looking a lot happier than the other day."
"Yeah."
Hazel put a hand on her shoulder. "Come on, let's give your sister some space."
"Right." Mine smiled as they walked away, leaving Kotoko all by herself where she continued her tai chi, all with a smile on her face.
This Gaiden idea was made by DarkRebellion!
Ibuki: Wonder how Mewtwo-chan would like that impression of him...
Deadpool: Probably be touched... but would probably throw in some critique and feel like he's not stern at all? Who knows.
