At first the soldiers could not believe this sudden news. So I had to play as an actor in this game of deception and I told the boy "Young Suzaku, I'm sorry I'm late, but as you can see, these gentlemen won't let me pass, I would like to ask your permission to pass, please" I said as kindly as i could get out of my being

Something that is very rare to see from me.

Suzaku was caught by my sudden act, but he quickly recovered and told me "y-yes sir, you can come in, d-don't worry I'll be fine"

The soldiers seemed dubious about this situation, leaving the son of the most important person in this place alone, with an unknown mercenary, does not inspire much confidence. I did not come here to please you, rather I came to seek answers.

The leader in chief, now known as Damien Walter nodded his head and said "good!" With that said, the officer turned and started walking directly towards the bridge of the ship.

As the two high-ranking Britannian officers walked towards the ship's control bridge, things on the airstrip were unfolding. Several fighters and bombers were being equipped to the teeth with weapons capable of completely destroying a city.

Also several Knightmares, which were parked on the aircraft carrier's runway , were lowered from a platform, which took them inside, where they would be placed on landing ships for the second wave of invasion.

The Knightmares went through the same preparation process that the planes went through, loading into the hands of these war machines anti-materiel assault rifles and RPGs, which were carefully cared for and verified for later use on the battlefield.

An entire army prepared once more to invade the capital again.

Damien Walter saw all the preparations being made for the second attack, seeing the possibilities of putting these soldiers to good use. Damián looked at the officer and asked him "do you have all the resources ready to attack once more?"

The officer nodded in response, "there are still a few Knightmares and bombers to equip! But we should be ready in about 20 minutes!"

"good! Take me to the admiral then! He need to know what you can deal with!"

" Yes sir, follow me" with that said the officer began to guide Damián directly to the bridge

On a hill, which is on the outskirts of Tokyo, two Japanese could be seen, who were hidden in camouflage suits, which match the grass in the area. And having a great look to where the imperial navy fleet is now standing.

One of the Japanese scouts, who is holding a sniper rifle and looking through its scope, told his partner "I count about 8 aircraft carriers in all of that group, and at least 30 battle ships and destroyers on that formation"

The sniper's partner told him "yes, it seems that they are preparing for a second total invasion against the capital, we have to report it to the command center"

The sniper replies "let's do it, but first move low, so they won't be able to see us"

"Okay" with that said the sniper's partner began to slowly crawl backwards. In order to report the attack fleet that they just glimpsed.

"Th-so is that what that machine is called? Black Glint?" asked the little fan, who was eager to know more about me and my Knightmare.

"Yes child... it's the name of my... Knightmare" I slowly answered that last part. Exasperated from the young Kururugi's continuous questions.

Just as I had predicted, this was a bad idea, in the last half hour the boy had done nothing but ask about my Black Glint, what was my name, how did I get that machine, how did I I became so good and if I was afraid when it came to fighting against the forces of the Britannian Empire.

I answered each and every one of them as cryptically as I could, hoping that it would stop the barrage of questions this kid had about me, but that could barely curb this kid's young curiosity.

Something that is starting to tire me.

…But this wave of questions proved to be a valuable source of information for me.

While the boy was trying to get to know me, I asked him questions with the goal of knowing more about this world, modifying them to make my questions sound logical and make no sense.

If I was ignorant of what this world was like before, now I have a better idea of how things work in this new world.

From what I could understand, the world is divided into 4 world powers, each and every one of them fighting for their goals, ambitions and desire for glory.

The first, being the largest in territories and the most powerful of the other 4, is the Britannian Empire, completely controlling the entire continent that was America. From what it appears Britannia is beginning a rapid and aggressive expansion throughout the world, all because of the precious resource which is known as Sakuradite.

This material reminded me a bit of Kojima Particles, but the difference of the Sakuradite particles. It is that the Sakuradita is not radioactive, it does not affect the environment in which it is found and it is easier to obtain, since it is found throughout the world and the main difference, is weaker than the Kojima Particles

The other major power in the world would be the Chinese Federation, which controls all of China, much of the Asian continent and Indonesia, from what I could discover they are defensive of Britannia, but completely against supporting Japan.

The third that protects itself from Britannia is the European Union, which, as its name says, controls the entire territory of Europe, Africa and a part of Russia, who ones have some relationships with Japan, but right now they don't answer the phone.

And the last one and in which I am now residing is Japan, the power which controls the sale and export of Sakuradita globally and which only controls the small island Of Japan. The Sakuradite is the main reason why Britannia is invading this nation, to obtain the valuable material for their own interests.

Now that I know how this world works. I know now, definitely, without an ounce of doubt, that I was completely screwed. I have just joined the weakest nation of all. Which barely had the strength to support a proper army and they don't have a single NORMAL under construction.

What's more, the machines that call themselves Knightmares are the first effort to create NORMALS in masse, leaving Japan with no chance of winning.

If those things hadn't been created, I'm sure Japan would have had a chance to win over Britannia. But now with the presence of those Knightmares on the battlefields taking place in Japan, there is no chance for them to win.

…

…but they just might have a chance to win, with me on their side.

"ok, that's good to know... and ahm, I can know your-"

Before the boy could ask me another question, another door that was in this lodging room opened, revealing the other dark-haired, purple-eyed boy, looking at the young Suzaku. "Suzaku, why are you talking so much?"

Suzaku who scratched his head in embarrassment replied to the other boy who entered "I'm sorry Lelouch but... I was trying to meet the pilot who saved our lives earlier" Suzaku points at me.

The young Lelouch's eyes widened in surprise when he saw me, I could feel thoughts of disbelief in his mind, wondering if I was the man who saved them from dying in the streets of that city.

I look at young Lelouch and introduce myself "It's a pleasure to meet you young Lelouch, I introduce myself as the pilot of the Black Glint, you can call me Lynx for now" I bow to Lelouch. Something I could sense through my psychic abilities that the boy is surprised by my sudden act.

Lelouch quickly composed himself, trying to appear formal, the boy told me "it's a pleasure to meet you Mr. Lynx, I thank you deeply for saving us from that place"

I just nodded and said "you're welcome young Lelouch, I'm just doing my job after all" I looked towards the door and asked him "I guess Nunnally is sleeping right now, right?"

Lelouch nodded his head "yes, Mr. Lynx, Nunnally is resting right now"

I didn't have to ask about the girl's condition, but I did it to keep up appearances, I could feel that the girl's mind was asleep right now. Having a nightmare that I don't bother to delve into.

But that's not what matters to me right now, what matters to me right now, is whether this child has the same kind of psychic connection that I had with Nunnally. So sending a quick probe into young Lelouch's mind, I scanned his mind as fast as I could without letting the boy know of my presence.

And what I see... is something I've never seen before.

The entire structure of this child's brain was…for lack of a better word, altered, several of this child's memories appear to have been distorted in some way. Altered to give a completely different picture of reality, specifically the memory of a woman, who lies on top of a girl, with bullet marks and a pool of blood spreading around them both.

To the child the memory of that moment will appear to be what actually happened...but to me...it's completely different, the memory I just pulled from the child's mind...seems damaged, for lack of a better expression.

As if it were so flawed, forcibly implanted into the child's mind by methods that completely altered the structure of the brain.

The closest thing I can find to this from home would be the PLUS HUMAN system, in which you were completely, forcibly connected to the machine, altering the brain structure, in order to more effectively handle the NEXTs they piloted.

But nothing compared to this.

… what did they do to him?

The young Lelouch was going to tell me something else, surely he was going to ask me a rain of questions to get to know me. But luckily, the horns that are on the roof of the corners sounded with the voice of a woman.

"Black Glint, your presence is required in the prime minister's room, I repeat, Black Glint your presence is required in the prime minister's room"

My signal to go, I look at both children and say "I'm sorry, but I have to withdraw, they need my presence to repel Britannia from the country"

I nod with my head "that's right, I also support Japan in what fits in all this conflict" I turn and walk to the exit "if you'll excuse me I'll leave" with that said I leave the room leaving the two children under the care of the soldiers once more.

Walk through the cold steel-reinforced corridors, bound for the room where Genbu, Kirihara, and Tohdoh must be waiting for you.

It only took a few seconds to reach my destination, the guards at the entrance upon seeing my arrival opened the armored door again, allowing me to enter the place once again.

Once inside, I notice that on the table there is a map which shows the position and coordinates of various objectives that seem to be of high value or strategic. Which I will surely have to delete.

Tohdoh and Prime Minister Genbu were in the room, several other high-ranking officials from Japan were also inside, their eyes glued to the map, but my sudden arrival made everyone focus on me now. Tohdoh without wasting time tells me "come Black Glint, we have another operation for you"

… Heh, it took them some time to call me.
