"Alright people, we have received an alarming report from a reconnaissance squadron guarding the coast of our capital," says Tohdoh to every one of the officers on the scene. Especially Black Glint, who is leaning against the wall, looking at them all with a look completely devoid of emotion.
"reconnaissance has located an entire fleet about 20 kilometers off the coast of our capital, it appears that they are preparing for a second attack against us" The gravity of the situation completely affected the men and women inside this room. Looks of concern and anguish were drawn on everyone's faces.
All except Black Glint who viewed these things with complete indifference. The news of a fleet not far from them was not so alarming to him, considering that LYNX had faced more dangerous things than just a fleet of ships.
For the Black Glint pilot, this is nothing more than child's play.
But also a way to gain the trust of these people. That won't stop them from trying to analyze and study their NEXT, but it will remove the hostile air between LYNX and the people of Japan.
Tohdoh turned his gaze to Black Glint, and with that same authoritative tone, he said "Black Glint, your objective in the Ryūjin operation, will be to destroy the entire Britannia fleet, don't let a single ship float near our capital. Once you have dealt with them we will move further north, dealing with all the forces that remain on the shores of our nation, we will eliminate them one by one until we get rid of them completely, the few local forces that we have at our disposal will be dealing with those forces that will be dealing with those groups until you arrive... understood Black Glint."
The eyes of Tohdoh, Genbu, and every man and woman inside that room were fixed intently on Black Glint, who only looked at Tohdoh with an empty stare. A gaze that told a story of death and suffering so devastating, that it left this man as only a shell of his former self.
It's almost hilarious for Black Glint, he was the person who was going to wipe out everyone, and now he's the person who is about to save an entire nation. Being the hero they all need in these dark and desperate times.

"...Well, when do we start then" Black Glint's empty words were all the people inside this room wanted to hear at those moments.
Tohdoh nodded in approval as he heard Black Glint's words "We will initiate in 30, prepare your Knightmare for deployment Black Glint."
Black Glint nods in agreement.
Genbu relieved that Black Glint is following Tohdoh's orders, looks at each officer in this room and says "Gentlemen, I don't need to tell you what will happen if you fail, you don't need to know the implications of what our failure will mean, so I ask you all, for the love of god all mighty to fight for your home."
All the officers nodded determined to comply with their minister's words. Men and women fight for a cause for which they will kill and die on the battlefield. For the sovereignty of their home and the freedom of all their people.
With that implanted in the mind of every high-ranking military officer inside this room, Tohdoh dismissed them "You are dismissed" All the officers began to leave the place. Leaving their battalions to organize a counterattack against the empire's forces.
LYNX was about to leave this place, ready to ride Black Glint once again. But before that happens Tohdoh speaks to him "Black Glint awaits".
LYNX turned around and saw Tohdoh approaching him, with a woman with short white hair, the same age as LYNX and with scarlet eyes, and an officer's outfit which amounted to a dark-colored tight-fitting suit and a short blue skirt, dark stockings, and blue sneakers. In his right hand was a tablet which must be filled with information of some kind.
Who is she? Wonders LYNX who looks at Tohdoh and asks "What's up Tohdoh?"
"Black Glint, we are going to assign you an operator while you participate in several of our operations to brief you on the situation, Meet Ayre Nishimura."
Ayre nods her head and says "Nice to meet you Mr. Black Glint, I hope we can work very well together" A polite smile adorns the face of the young operator, who was innocently greeting a NEXT pilot.
LYNX turned to Tohdoh and said in annoyance ":... This was not part of our contract Tohdoh."
Tohdoh nodded and said, "I know, but since you will now be part of our operations, we need someone who will bring you up to speed on the situation, other than that we will be calling you to explain the details of our operations."
A nice way of saying that they will be watching Black Glint's every move. a person who will tell any of his superiors every move Black Glint will make.
He will not be able to get rid of or refuse that she was not his radio operator. They will force Black Glint to accept her one way or another.

Seeing that she wasn't afraid of me at all, I just grunted in approval and returned my gaze to the Black Glint. Which to my not-so-pleasant surprise.
I was surrounded by a whole crowd of curious soldiers who saw the titanic form of my NEXT. Grunting in annoyance I walked over to get on my NEXT, pushing the soldiers out of my way to allow me to enter the one thing in which I have confidence.
Using the same path I used to get off my NEXT, I slowly climbed back up and once I was above the hatch of my NEXT, I opened it to allow me to enter once again.
I sit back once again in the cockpit seat, looking around the inside of my cockpit I say to Black Glint "Sorry for the delay Black Glint, but I'm back" With that said I begin the process of connecting once again with my NEXT.
With my connection as LYNX, I link back into Black Glint's entire body, feeling every gear, piece, and limb of my NEXT. Becoming united once again.
Feeling the connection between the two of us successful, I sighed in relief, comforted to feel my connection with Black Glint reconnected again, my NEXT's scopes turned on and showed Ayre who had been standing where we were before.
I watched in fascination along with the soldiers, as my Black Glint lit up and towered over her and all the soldiers in this area.
It was always said that the NEXT, were machines that caused great fascination among people... I guess now everyone is fascinated to see my NEXT lighting up before their eyes.
With no more time to waste I turn on the Kojima particle generator of my NEXT, fully activating my NEXT, the PRIMAL ARMOR surrounded Black Glint. The glowing particles suddenly became invisible.
The Black Glint's eyes activated, glowing the intense red that made anyone who saw those brilliant crimson orbs tremble with fear.
Ayre instead of showing fear continued to show great fascination at seeing the Black Glint fully activated, his fascination increased even more as he saw the Black Glint rising into the air with the help of several burners attached to the legs, back, and knees of the machine. Lifting the machine of who knows how many tons into the air without much trouble.
And just as it rose, it shot off at a blinding speed, a speed that exceeded the sound barrier, causing anyone unfortunate enough to be in the thrusters' sights to be blown into the air by the great force they expelled.
Ayre was one of the lucky few who tripped and fell on her butt, looking at where Black Glint was a few moments ago.
In Ayre's mind, she could only find one word, for a titan of such power.

"so, in short, we're facing off against an unidentified flying object, with massive firepower in it, unknown armor we knew nothing about and never showed up, and is slaughtering our comrades on the ground?" the bewildered voice of the fleet admiral, echoed from the bridge of this aircraft carrier.
All the officers and operators inside that place had various reactions according to the words they just heard, long before their admiral gave that answer.
Some ranged from disbelief, others to annoyance and the very few ranged to shock.
But one thing they all agreed on was what they just heard. It was all a bunch of damn lies.
And with very good reason.
And that reason came in the form of Officer Damien, who had informed him of all the events that had occurred several hours ago "I'm afraid so sir, I know how crazy this may sound... but-but I can assure you that this is all true".

"...this has got to be a fucking joke," said the admiral to Damian, who was sweating all over his face.
"I-I'm afraid that's not so Admiral I didn't believe that."
"you're fucking incompetent" the admiral suddenly said.
"Ex-excuse me Admiral" asked Damian in confusion.
"You hear hear me well officer, you. Are. A. Damn. Incompetent" the admiral said slowly, looking at Damien completely angry at the moment.
Damián tried to save himself from the wrath of his superior. But all he could do was stammer and tell him "B-but sir what I'm telling you is-"
"I DON'T CARE WHAT YOU HAVE TO TELL ME OFFICER!" Roared the admiral completely annoyed "You underestimated the Japanese forces, which cost us dearly! Now I'm putting this whole invasion at risk! All because you failed to underestimate the local forces! And NOW I AND THE REST OF THIS FLEET ARE PUTTING THE INVASION AT RISK! ALL BECAUSE OF YOUR INCOMPETENCE!" The admiral roared, completely furious that he had discovered the reason, why this stupid officer had been transferred to this place.
"B-but sir... I"
"I DON'T WANT TO HEAR ANY MORE OF YOUR WORDS! STAY IN YOUR PLACE AND WATCH US FIX YOUR DISASTER!" roared the admiral back. Completely furious at the idea of fixing someone's mess, he turned around and looked straight ahead, concentrating completely on the task in front of him.
Which is to coordinate all the military forces aboard your ships against the Japanese on the spot. I look at one of your officers here and ask him, "How is the advance for the invasion of the ground forces?"

"yes sir, sending orders to all vessels," said the same officer as before, sending the order to the other ships in place.
Everything was going according to plan, nothing was out of place, except for the command center's chief leader Damien who looked on in embarrassment as everyone worked.
His head became a combination of emotions, ranging from anger, pain and shame. But in his head, there was only one feeling, a feeling that erased any rational thought into irrational.
And that... is Rage.
Anger at the embarrassment he is going through right now.
Anger at the humiliation this admiral is putting you through.
Anger at having to put up with fools like this damned admiral.
AND NOW, HE HAS TO DEAL WITH THIS IDIOT WHO CAN'T SEE THE TRUTH.
DAMIAN WAS NOT GOING TO ACCEPT THIS HUMILIATION!
HE WILL NOT ACCEPT HUMILIATION FROM ANYONE!
"Sir! We have an unidentified flying object on radar!" the radar officer suddenly said.

A heavy feeling took over his stomach, the color of his once healthy caramel-colored skin now turned pale white, almost as if he were a ghost instead of a man. Sweat began to pour down all over his face, staining his senior officer's clothes with sweat.
Damian wants to think that this could not be true, that it could only be a mere coincidence, that there was no possibility that a machine of such a size could move after having eliminated a whole battalion of Knightmares. It was impossible.
None of that should happen.
The admiral surprised at this sudden news asks the sonar operator "Are you sure soldier?"
The operator, who is watching from his sonar can see an object that is about 15 kilometers from his position, advancing at a speed that can barely be registered by the sonar.
"yes sir, it's moving very fast, faster than any other air transport I've ever seen sir!" replies the astonished operator, as he records how the unidentified flying object was flying at tremendous speeds. One moment it was 15 kilometers away, the next it was about 9 kilometers away.
The admiral stood next to his radio operator and asked, "What is that, is it a system failure?"
The operator denied "No sir, I have checked the system before, this is not a mistake, this is real and whatever it is it is approaching us" he pointed with a feather to the point still advancing at high speeds directly at them.
Damian moved closer to the window pane.
And slowly with his hand, he pointed to the front.
And he said with absolute terror in his voice.
"It's. That thing. Right there. Sir."
All the officers, operators, and the admiral looked straight ahead. Seeing a large smash which was traveling at high speed directly at them, breaking the sound barrier and creating waves wherever it went.
Many even got up from their seats to get a clearer view of the thing flying at ridiculous speeds against them. Unable to believe that something like that would be able to fly at such a speed.
But the truth is this.
The truth to the questions flooding the minds of everyone in this place was this.
And that is... that this... is the day of his death.

"This is Black Glint reporting to A-3, initiating contact with hostile targets" Black Glint's voice rang through a radio, which was being listened to by Ayre at the moment. Who was with a group of people outdoors.

Ayre, who is looking through a screen, which was projected by a drone replies to Black Glint "Received Black Glint, eliminate all naval vessels in the area, do not let any of them get close to the coast".

And like a machine LYNX opened direct fire against the center of the aircraft carrier with the OGOTTO and the rest of the ships with the BMO5-LAMIA, the projectile traveled quickly against the center of the runway of the ship. It passed through the armor without much effort and the missiles hit two destroyers and a battleship, creating large explosions, which caused a chain reaction, blowing up the battleships and the aircraft carrier in huge balls of fire and smoke.
The great ships began to sink under their weight, hundreds of tons pulled by the gravity of the planet. To rest eternally in the depths of the sea, with hundreds of souls slowly perishing inside these huge transports.
The operators, Damian, the officers and the admiral himself looked on in complete shock. At the devastation they had just witnessed, in only about 5 seconds. That big machine was able to destroy a third of their naval force in the area. Causing many casualties and losses in the capture of Japan.
Black Glint rose into the air again, and all the ships that witnessed the destruction of their comrades began to open fire against that great machine. Using missiles and turrets which buzzed through the air and left great lines of clouds.
Black Glint seeing this stopped ascending and began to dodge, using small movements to dodge entire lines of bullets and missiles in his path. He suddenly propelled himself to the right, dodging most of the projectiles that were fired at him.
Then with another graceful movement, he propelled himself to the left, making a complete turn in the process and aiming his OGOTTO at another Aircraft Carrier, and the moment he was within his sights he fired.
The shell destroyed the front of the aircraft carrier, causing a huge explosion that destroyed much of the ship in the process. The other ships tried everything they could to destroy the large ship. They used every weapon and missile they had at their disposal, but in the end, they were useless against the power of a NEXT.
None were capable of scratching or even leaving a single mark on the great machine. Who continued on its path of destruction and devastation, hovering above the sea and charging directly at a destroyer and cutting it with the 07-MOONLIGHT. The molten metal fell from the side of the ship, which began to sink into the depths of the sea.
The admiral, who sees how that machine, which had been described by the deranged Damien turned to all the officers and said "LAUNCH ALL THE AIR-SHIPS WE HAVE AND ELIMINATE THAT THING!"
Immediately all the people went into action, Long before the admiral even gave the order, each one of the aircraft pilots, who were in the remaining aircraft carriers, began to board their planes and leave their ships to fight against this great unknown machine.
A fighter plane was about to take off, only to be suddenly crushed by the foot of Black Glint, who completely crushed the plane and pilot. The Black Glint looking at the bridge, eliminates this part in one motion from the 07-MOONLIGHT.
The Black Glint turned and looked at the rest of the ship, aimed the 04-MARVE at the track of the aircraft carrier, and fired, the large bullets went through the structure of the big ship without much trouble, then fired the OGOTTO and destroyed the ship in a great mushroom of fire and smoke.
Black Glint emerged from the flames of the sinking ship, rising into the air to dodge a burst of gunfire from two fighters that flew at high speed near the Black Glint.
The LYNX looked sideways at the planes coming out of the few remaining aircraft carriers, they will be no threat to him, indeed this is nothing more than a minor annoyance for him to deal with.
But he will gladly give every one of them a death.
The Black Glint suddenly kicked the cockpit of a plane, killing the pilot in the plane, then thrust to the right with the burners, to allow a plane to follow its path. He aimed the 04-MARVE and filled the plane with holes, which exploded in a fireball at the end.
He pointed at the BM05-LAMIA, noticing 7 aircraft approaching him from the front. And with a single thought, he let the missiles fly away, chasing their targets and then hitting them in multiple explosions.
He activated the 07-MOONLIGHT and cut one plane in half, disintegrating the pilot and much of the plane in the process, cut another diagonally, causing it to lose control and crash into the sea.
Aim the 04-MARVE and fire at the rest of the planes, which were firing bullets and missiles at the Black Glint, who gracefully dodged each one of the projectiles.
LYNX moves the Black Glint directly against one of the battleships, which was firing everything they had at their disposal against it. Mentally activating the BM05-LAMIA he fires several missiles which surrounded the ship and exploded at different points, piercing its armor and causing the ship to finally explode in a large fireball.
Black Glint stood on top of the destroyed wreckage of the ship, sinking the ship faster in the process, looking around, seeing how most of the ships were still firing at him.
The LYNX can feel in his mind, the growing fear of every one of the soldiers that were on the ships, all fearful at the idea that a machine like his is capable of destroying an entire marine fleet.
If they had seen what I have faced in the past, if they had seen the different ARM FORTS I have eliminated.
... then they would know that eliminating an entire insignificant fleet is nothing more than child's play.

... This is just another ordinary slaughter for him
(Armored Core VI FIRES OF RUBICON OST - Fight or Flight)
Black Glint's crimson eyes shone brightly once again, looking around at all those he had to eliminate. The red blood that Black Glint's eyes projected generated great fear in the hearts and souls of all those who could see those intense blood-colored orbs.
And from one moment to the next, hell rained down on all the ships. The Black Glint who was previously standing on top of a ship disappeared out of nowhere. But in the process, it had taken out more than 15 aircraft in a matter of seconds.
LYNX could feel the disbelief in the mind of every soldier aboard those ships, hundreds of thoughts came into his head, like a whirlwind of emotions that flooded his mind completely.
He almost felt dizzy from this feeling, but he refocused on what was in front of him and that was completing this mission.
With that in mind, he moved at ridiculous speeds on top of each of the ships which kept firing at him non-stop. He fired the BM05-LAMIA against multiple battleships and destroyers. All of which fell victim to the infernal rain of missiles that fell on their heads.
In the process, he fired 2 explosive shells from his OGOTTO, which were aimed at the aircraft carriers. And in the blink of an eye, the sea became a river of fire.
The flames from the ships were so intense, that those ships that were around these large fires, could feel the intense flames close to them.
Damian, who witnessed all the destruction, came to the only logical thought that his mind, driven by adrenaline and terror, could come to a single conclusion.

He has to get out of here.
And with that, full of a terrified heart he left the bridge, as fast as he could, the admiral noticed this and tried to order his guards to stop him. But before that could happen, the entire ship was shaken by a huge explosion coming from a destroyer which was hit by a missile which was aimed at them.
Damien, like an unhinged prison escapee, set off in a straight run to jump from the ship, grabbing a life preserver he found on his way to run as far as he could from this marine coffin.
And once the lifeline was fully secured, with total abandonment by all these people on this ship.

...and then jumped.
The air shook Damien's entire officer's uniform, the cap that was once on his head flew aimlessly away from his head. The discomfort in his stomach grew for every second he spent in the air.
It's close to the sea, it's about to crash.
*SPLASH*
Damian was now underwater, holding his breath so as not to drown from all the water he was in, he was about 5 feet underwater, and above him was the life preserver. His mind completely focused on saving himself, he waved his arms to get to the damn thing that could save his life.
He exhaled a big breath of air, when he finally reached the surface of the water, still not safe from the storm he was in, but still with a chance to save himself from all this complete hell.
The flames from the sinking destroyer were burning Damien's skin even in the water. The adrenaline inside Damien was still pumping, he knew he had to get out of there.
And it will.
The Admiral cursed as he saw how the coward Damien had left the ship, leaving only him and the rest of the fleet to clean up this whole damn mess. They already wiped out more than half of their fleet, leaving only 3 operational aircraft carriers and about 8 operational battleships and destroyers.
He can still fix this.
He CAN STILL SAVE THIS OPERATION!
But before it could continue to fantasize about how to salvage the situation, the entire ship shook once again. The officers and operators inside the bridge fell backward and onto the monitors inside the bridge.
The admiral could barely stand, falling to his knees, and quickly got up to see what had happened.

...only to find himself staring down the barrel of the 04-MARVE, pointed directly at the bridge.
... The admiral was about to shout his last words in this world.

*RATATATATATATATATATATATATATATATATATATATATA*
But the bullets quickly tore to shreds everyone on the bridge of this ship, generating an explosion in the process, which destroyed it.
Black Glint who was watching all this with apathetic eyes informs Ayre "Black Glint reporting that I have eliminated almost all the targets on site, total estimated time of completion 2 minutes."
Ayre, who was watching through his screen all the destruction of the Britannian fleet, answers him almost in a robotic way "Received Black Glint, finish the job" The robotic voice disappeared to give way to a more cheerful one "Then we can take care of how to handle things between us".
"..." LYNX was momentarily taken aback by Ayre's response, he was expecting a more directive response from Ayre... but...
It seems that she wants to try to fix things so that they are not so tense.

... Focus on LYNX, then deal with it another time.
With that in LYNX's mind, he quickly takes to the air again aims his 04-MARVE at the ship, and fires at the aircraft carrier. Destroying the second to last ship.
I look at the last two aircraft carriers and battleships and destroyers, and like lightning I charge at them, cutting a straight line to the first with the 07-MOONLIGHT, destroying the aircraft carrier in a single pass.
To then fired the OGOTTO against the last one, piercing it from in front of the big ship, the projectile exploded inside it, creating another great explosion that shook the few remaining battleships and destroyers that were around it.
And without wasting any more time, he eliminated the rest of the ships with the BM05-LAMIA, the missiles destroyed all the ships, leaving not a single one intact in the process.
And so...
...
In less than 5 minutes, he eliminated an entire Britannia fleet... all by his hand.
And without any problem whatsoever.
And so, he slowly allowed himself to land on top of one of the aircraft carriers that had not yet begun to sink. Staring at the horizon with a melancholy look on his face.
...
...it seems that he will go back to the old routine of before... being a mercenary to serve under the orders of others. Killing for the desires and ambitions of others... right now he may seem to be fighting for a just and noble cause, fighting for the freedom and prosperity of his home.
...
... but that can change. Sometimes just causes that seem noble and heroic, can end up in tyrannical causes. Trading one tyrant for another even worse or equal.
It is only a matter of time before it happens
"Mission complete, well done Black Glint, come back so we can continue with the next mission" Ayre's voice stopped all thoughts that this may change.
... even if that is true.

Yes I know, I'm late again in posting a new chapter... please don't hate me :'(
The reason for this was because I had been sick, so sick was my illness that I did not get out of bed. But now I am better.
Working 100 percent and ready to get back to business.
And now, as you can see there is my first OC, Ayre. And yes, if you're thinking that she's named after the new Armored Core, then you're damn right.
She will function as the operator of our protagonist and friend of our dear LYNX, there will be many talks of friendship between these two and tension as well.
