On the Night Carla died
Adult Eren and Grisha traveled to Shiganshina in a rush. By the time they had arrived, they were too late. Carla Yeager was pronounced dead from a cut throat and the younger Eren was pronounced missing. Grisha instantly broke down and grieved for his wife Carla, while Adult Eren just froze and looked traumatized at the crime scene. A small group of Military Police were present and were investigating the crime scene.
The Next Morning
Around eleven in the morning, a small funeral was held for Carla Yeager. Grisha Yeager grieved over Carla when she was being buried in the dirt. He couldn't help but think of the time he watched his first wife, Dina turn into a Titan in front of his very eyes.
Hannes broke down crying after learning who was responsible for Carla's death. Keith Shadis happened to be in the area and was a bit saddened. A young and emotional Mikasa Ackerman was in deep depression for the loss of her second mother and the disappearance of younger Eren. Adult Eren Yeager was sad as he watched his mother get buried. He comforted the young Mikasa, who didn't acknowledge his presence.
Later that Night
Eren Yeager had returned to Mitras with a young Mikasa Ackerman around the time of eleven in the evening. As soon as Eren reunited with Frieda, again at the castle, he told her what happened. They tearfully embraced, mourning for Carla Yeager.
An unresponsive Mikasa was taken inside the castle where she could stay, until she gets better. This was the second time Mikasa witnessed a mother-figure die, then moved into a foster home.
The manhunt for Kenny Ackerman had continued, led by Captain Levi. The reward for Kenny's bounty had since doubled.
The Next Morning
It was seven in the morning. A small weather storm had occurred within the capital. The dark gray clouds hovered over the sky, blocking the sun. The rain poured down heavily.
A ten year-old Mikasa Ackerman was currently sleeping in a big white bed with nothing but her red scarf lying next to her face. In her sleep, Mikasa would grunt and murmur Eren's name.
Meanwhile, an Adult Eren Yeager stood in a dark room alone where there was a table and a white bed. He stared at the hard rain through the a window. He wore his casual clothing and could hear the sound of thunder roar within the castle walls of Mitras. He stood still like a statue and let memories of his mother Carla flow like a stream.
Short Flashback
Mikasa had told Carla and Grisha Yeager of Eren's future intentions.
'No son of mine is going to join the Survey Corp. are we clear?' Carla Yeager yelled.
'Don't yell at me!' Eren yelled back.
End Short Flashback
Eren continued staring at the window and begun reminiscing the times he spent with his mother.
Short Flashback
As a young Eren and Mikasa were being carried away from the Yeager Residence by a scared Hannes, Dina Yeager as a Pure Titan had found and grabbed Carla Yeager's body.
'Stop! No!' Eren shouted before Dina had crushed Carla's abdomen and devoured her in front him, yards away.
End Short Flashback
As Eren reminisced the last moments of Carla's life from his own timeline, a door had quietly opened.
"Eren?"
Eren slowly turned around to see Frieda Reiss who wore her royal white dress and golden tiara. He spotted that Frieda was holding a white plate under a white cup of tea.
"I brought you some tea... if you like it." Frieda said.
"Thanks." Eren turned his attention back towards the window he was staring at. Watching the rain pour hardly.
"Are you okay, Eren?" Frieda asked.
"Yeah. I'm just a little tired... that's all." Eren said as he continued staring at the window.
"It's dark in here." Frieda said as she noticed the lights in the room were off. The only light was though the window.
"I just needed some time to think. Alone." Eren said.
Frieda looked at a light switch next to the front door and walked towards it with the tea in her hands. "Maybe, if I can turn on the swi-"
"Leave it off." Eren said. He did not look towards Frieda, as he continued staring at the window.
Frieda's arms stopped moving as her fingers were a few inches from switching the light on. "Oh..." She listened to Eren and moved away from the light switch. "I see." Frieda's light blue eyes had softened a bit. "Do you still want your tea?"
"You can leave it on the table." Eren said.
Frieda gently lied Eren's cup of tea on a round table within the room. She stared at Eren's backside and could tell that he has not moved from staring at the window for a few hours. Suddenly, a random person came to Frieda's mind. "Where is Doctor Yeager? I haven't seen him, since he left the castle a few days ago." Frieda asked.
"He decided stay in Shiganshina." Eren said in a fast pace.
Lightning flashes in front of Eren's eyes.
Frieda's light blue eyes grew bigger when she gasped. "Is he okay?"
"Yeah. He's still grieving over his wife's death. I mean, my mother's death." Eren answered.
Meanwhile in Shiganshina, the weather over there was rainy. No roaring thunder or lightning flashes. Grisha Yeager was currently in the Shiganshina Cemetery grieving at the grave of his deceased wife, Carla Yeager. He had worn a black casual suit which consisted of a buttoned white shirt, black vest, black tie, black shoes and black pants. He also wore his glasses and held a black umbrella. "I'm so sorry, Carla..." he fell on his knees in the wet dirt and cried in the rain. The tears were nearly camouflaged with the rain. "I... I will avenge you, dear. I promise." Grisha swore in front of Carla's grave.
But what Grisha did not know was that someone was watching him from yards behind. Hannes stood in the weather holding an umbrella over his head. As he watched Grisha cry over his deceased wife, he couldn't help but feel guilty for letting Carla die. In his mind, he thought that if he knew that it was Kenny Ackerman, then, he would've tried to stop him. He soon fell on his knees and wept for his sin.
"After dad and I identified her body, we gave her a quick burial at the Shiganshina Cemetery. Afterwards, he told me to take Mikasa back and leave him with his wife." Eren asked Frieda.
"I see..." Fried gently grabbed Eren's left upper arm.
Eren slightly turned his head to Frieda. "How's Mikasa, since she got here?
"She's doing a little bit better since the incident. But, I don't think she will ever forget what she saw. I wish I could get rid of her awful memories. I really do. But because of her being an Ackerman... I can't." Frieda placed her closed left fist on her heart and looked down. "The only thing... I could do is provide her with emotional therapy."
"I see..." Eren murmured.
Frieda pulled her body closer to Eren's left side and leaned her head on his left arm. "I'm truly sorry for your loss, Eren." Frieda's eyes begun to water.
"I know."
"Your mother... was a really kind woman." Frieda said in a soft tone.
"I know."
"And she was very protective, too."
"I know."
"All your mother ever wanted for what was best for you. She didn't deserve to die." Frieda's light blue eyes watered as she thought about Carla.
"I know. And I'm gonna end them who cut her life short." Eren said in a bit of rage.
Frieda gasped. "Them?"
Lightning flashes.
"There's another accomplice in your mother's murder?" Frieda asked.
Eren nodded. "There is. And I know who that accomplice is... your father, Rod Reiss."
Frieda's light blue eyes grew big a bit. "No. It can't be... my father would never involve innocents..." she slightly shook her head no.
Eren lightly placed his hands on Frieda's shoulders. "Think about it, Frieda! Who else on this island is desperate to take the Founder?"
Frieda did not answer, as she knew who Eren was talking about Rod Reiss.
Eren took Frieda's moment of silence as an answer. "Exactly."
"But, how could you possibly know it was him? What evidence do you have?" Frieda questioned.
"Remember when I told you about what happened in my timeline?" Eren asked.
"Yes."
"Rod Reiss hired Kenny to kidnap me and Historia." Eren said.
"Uh-huh..." Frieda slowly nodded.
"Then, Rod tried to convince Historia to retake the Founding Titan by having her eat me..." Eren asked Frieda.
"Yes... I remember." Frieda answered in a soft tone.
Eren turned from Frieda in a ninety degree angle. "He must've sent Kenny to Shiganshina to try and kidnap the me." Eren pointed his right index finger on his heart. 'But the problem is he got the wrong me. If he still thinks that the younger me has Titan powers, then he's probably going to try and feed the younger me to one of his children. I can't let that happen.' Eren's scratched his left ear.
'Hm?' Frieda noticed Eren scratching his left ear.
'Don't worry, Rod. As soon as I save myself, I know exactly what to do with you.' Eren thought as he stared at a well.
"Eren?" Frieda called.
Eren glanced towards and turned his body facing Frieda again. "Don't worry, Frieda. I know what to do." he said with a mild look on his face.
"What are going to do... with my father?"
Eren paused as he stared at Frieda's light blue eyes. He can see the worried look on her face. He couldn't bring himself to lie to her, nor could he deceive her. So the best thing he thought of was coming clean. He inhaled some air, then exhaled air after. He embraced her by wrapping his arms around her back. "I'm gonna have to kill him. And possibly your family, too."
Frieda's eyes widened in shock. "No! I won't allow that!" she quickly pushed Eren off her.
Eren stretched his right arm towards Frieda as she backed away. "But, Frieda-"
"I don't want to hear it!" Frieda moved away from Eren until they were two yards apart in the room. "I know what my father did was wrong... and I can accept any punishment he will endure... but I can't live with the thought of the love of my life planning to murder my entire family!" Frieda clasped both of her hands on her head and appeared to look upset. Her jaw trembled as she bent down on her knees. "They're innocent..." she sniffled.
Eren stared at Frieda who was visibly upset and looked like she was having a nervous breakdown. As he watched Frieda slowly break down, he thought in his mind of something different. He knew Frieda wouldn't like his Plan A, so he sighed and thought of a plan B. Shortly after thinking of a Plan B, he slowly walking towards Frieda, who's back was on the wall. He bent down towards Frieda's level. "Hey. What if I told that if I found another solution... a solution that didn't involve killing your family, would you listen to me?"
Frieda slowly looked at Eren. "Huh?"
"I think I found a way to save your family." Eren slowly brought Frieda up to her feet.
"Wha... what is it?" Frieda asked as she wiped the bubbles away from her eyes.
Eren then whispered his plan within Frieda's left ear for a total of fifteen seconds.
"You think it's going to work?" Frieda asked in a soft voice.
"Yeah. As long as we play our parts, perfectly. Then no one else has to die." Eren said.
Three seconds later, Frieda gave Eren a smile while still feeling teary. Then wrapped her arms around Eren's neck and hugged him. "I'm glad. Thank you for changing your mind." she let out a tear of relief.
Eren closed his eyes temporarily and hugged her back by wrapping his arms around her upper waist. After eight seconds of embracing, the Titan-Shifters shared a passionate kiss with one another.
"Eren?"
"Yeah?"
"When do we start this... solution?" Frieda asked.
"In the next twenty-four hours." Eren said, then he took off his black jacket and put it onto Frieda's shoulders.
"This jacket is warm..." Frieda commented pinched part of its sleeve.
"It is." Eren replied.
"Speaking of warm..." Frieda gasped, then looked at the tea she had sat down at a round table. "Oh no, your tea! It's probably gotten cold by now."
"Don't worry about it. I'll heat it up, later." Eren said, then brought Frieda and sat her on top of a bed. He sat right next to Frieda and
Frieda leaned her head on Eren's shoulder once again and closed her eyes. "We'll find you... I promise." Frieda whispered, talking about Eren's younger counterpart.
"I know we will." Eren whispered back. The two Titan-Shifters held hands while sitting on the bed. A small bolt of electricity zapped around their hands.
