Adult Eren Yeager and Frieda Reiss were inside Frieda's chambers. Eren was doing pushups to keep his body active while Frieda was dressed in her white gown and brushed her long black hair while sitting in front of a large mirror. She stopped brushing for a moment and thought about what happened earlier after Carla
"I'm very happy that you reunited your family, Eren." Frieda said as she kept brushing her hair.
Flashback
Earlier that day after, five minutes after Carla had reunited with the younger Eren and Mikasa, Carla had reunited with her significant other, Grisha Yeager. The Adult Eren and Frieda stood from the sidelines and watched the married Yeager couple embrace in relief and in joy. Grisha sobbed with tears of joy as he hugged his wife, Carla.
End Flashback
"I'm happy that my father didn't go off the deep end." Eren responded as he kept doing pushups.
"I've never thought Doctor Yeager would break down in tears around anyone. But, then again, it's Miss Carla we're talking about." Frieda said.
"Funny. I never saw him physically cry at all. Except in my past memories." Eren said.
"I understand. Tell me, Eren." Frieda said.
"Hm? Something wrong?" Eren stood still in his pushup position and looked up to Frieda.
"How did you manage bring your mother back to life?" Frieda turned her chair around to face Eren.
Eren stood on his two after leaving his pushup position and walked toward Frieda. "To tell you the truth, Frieda. I didn't revive my mother." Eren told Frieda after he gently grabbing both of Frieda's wrists and bent a knee in front of her.
"Huh?" Frieda gave Eren a bit of a look of confusion as she didn't follow where Eren was going.
"No matter how powerful I've gotten... I still can't bring back the dead." Eren disappointingly admitted.
"Then, how did..."
"I went to another timeline and retrieved my mother from certain death. " Eren told Frieda.
Frieda grew a bit more surprised than she hoped to be. "What? Really?"
"Mm-hmm. I'll explain it to you as best I can." Eren said, then thinking back a bit.
Flashback
The Year Eight Fifty-Four
Eren had suddenly appeared in Shiganshina District, but there was a totally different atmosphere than when he first arrived. He looked at the sky to see the orange sky. He knew that the sun was planning to set within a few hours. He looked at his surroundings to chunks of wall debris had collided with a number of houses and crushed innocent civilians. Many people had screamed, ran and trampled over each other within fear as a majority attempted.
Eren climbed on top of the nearest roof and stared south towards the front gate within Shiganshina. His eyes squinted to get a closer look and her saw giant humanoid people entering Shiganshina through the breach.
As soon as Eren saw a small number of Titans walking through a large breach within the front Shiganshina gate, he immediately knew what was going on, where and when he was.
'This is it. I made it back to the day when Bertoldt and Reiner breached the Wall Maria. Looks like Bertoldt had already destroyed the front gate.' Eren then looked far behind himself to see the rear gate that leads to the outskirts of Shiganshina still intact. 'Looks like Reiner hadn't breached the rear gate, yet. Which means...' Eren then climbed down from the roof that he was standing on and ran down the street towards the direction of his house. He knew that a large chunk of wall debris had directly landed on top of his old home and trapped his mother. 'If I hurry and make a B line toward my house, then I still have time to...' Eren then thought of the last moments he had spent with his mother, Carla, before her own demise. 'Don't worry, I'm coming, mom! I'm coming to save you!'
Meanwhile, Hannes had arrived and met Carla, whom was trapped under debris. He attempted to fight a massive blonde-haired Titan as he ran toward it. He then froze in fear as he met the Titan's deadly and scary grin. At that moment, he instantly knew that he couldn't defeat it. So he did what was best and withdrew his blades and grabbed both the younger Eren and Mikasa, then fled with them.
"Thank you, Hannes." Carla had teared up as she watched Hannes flee with Eren and Mikasa.
"No! What are you doing? My mom's still back there!" Eren screamed at Hannes while he and Mikasa were being taken away. Hannes ran as fast as he could and did not stop. His goal was to take the young Eren and Mikasa to the ferries outside of Shiganshina.
"Mom!" The young Eren screamed.
"Eren! Mikasa! Please, stay alive!" Carla screamed as she watched them being taken away. She stretched her arm out toward them. As Dina Yeager in her Titan form had walked closer and closer toward Eren's old home, Carla started to regret not going with them. "Please, don't go..." she silently cried. Then suddenly, Dina had stood over Eren's house and spotted Carla trapped within rubble.
Meanwhile, the Adult Eren Yeager continued to run as fast as he could toward his old home. He saw the rear of a tall and blonde Titan who he recognizes as Dina Yeager stand over his house from yards away. 'No! Not this time!' He grunted and his green eyes burned as he ran a tad bit faster.
Dina looked and saw Hannes running away from with two children in his arms. She ignored them, then glanced down to see a person trapped under the house debris, then reached for Carla with her long arms. First Dina removed all the rubble from around Carla, then picked her up with her large arms.
The younger Eren saw the action of his mom being caught by a Titan and it horrified him. "Stop! No!" Eren screamed from a far and long distance.
Meanwhile, the Adult Eren continued running towards Dina from the rear. His ears heard a scream caused by his younger counterpart. He remembered screaming, himself when he was a kid. At that moment, he knew that Carla had been caught. 'No! Not yet! Not yet!' Eren hoped that Carla had not been killed as he kept running. As soon as he turned the corner and ran pass a well, he saw Dina standing upward and holding a struggling Carla Yeager in her large arms.
Despite meeting Dina's the deadly gaze, Carla kept struggling to break free from Dina's grasp by Dina's large hand with her own.
Dina tightened her grip around her large hand. This action caused Carla to scream in agony, but not loud enough for Hannes, Mikasa and Eren to hear. But before Dina could try and squeeze Carla hard enough to make her spew her innards out from her mouth, she stopped.
Unbeknownst to Carla, Dina felt paralysis coursing throughout her Titan body. This paralysis was caused by Eren Yeager, who hugged the back of Dina's left heel.
In the next fifteen seconds, Carla Yeager then felt herself slipping through Dina's large hand, until the Titan had let go of Carla, allowing her to fall a few meters downward. But before she could hit on the stone pavement, she had been caught by her Adult son, Eren Yeager, who then carried her in his arms. One arm behind her back and the other arm underneath her legs.
"Hang on, mom! I'm going to get you out of here!" Eren yelled, then bit his hand.
Carla gasped as she saw a masculine person carrying her. "Wait! I still need to-" Before Carla could finish her sentence, Eren's body had already begun to glow white. And in the next two seconds, Eren and Carla had disappeared. Leaving no trace behind.
End Flashback
"Wow, that's amazing, Eren!" Frieda sounded really impressed after hearing Eren's story. "You saved your mother before she could ever be eaten." Frieda then thought about everyone else within Shiganshina. "But... what about everyone else that were fleeing from the Titans?"
"I knew you would ask me that, sooner or later. When I first touched Dina, then I ordered all the Titans inside Shiganshina to attack all the one outside the walls, then ordered them to tear each other apart for one hour. That gave everyone more than enough time to escape. The only ones I couldn't kill off were Reiner, Bertoldt, Annie and Dina Yeager-because they played important roles in my life." Eren explained.
"I understand." Frieda lightly frowned.
"After my mom and I came back here to this timeline, I spent the first two days explaining everything that happened in the walls. Not only in this timeline, but also in my original timeline as well." Eren said.
"Oh. It must've been really painful... to explain to Miss Carla what happened..." Frieda spoke hesitantly.
"It was painful. But soon, she understood. As long as the other me and Mikasa were okay..." Eren had blinked. "Then, we spent the next day and half, spending a lot of time together as mother and son."
"You must have liked spending more time with Miss Carla, more than you realized." Frieda giggled.
Eren cracked a smile on his face in front of Frieda. "You're right. The more time I spent with her, the more that I realized how amazing she was."
"Speaking of time... I'm kind of curious.." Frieda rubbed part of her chin.
"What's on your mind?" Eren asked.
"I'm glad that you went out of your way to save Miss Carla, but how were you able to travel through time, again? I kind of thought it was supposed to be a onetime thing?" Frieda asked Eren in a curious manner.
Flashback
As the battle between Marley and the Eldians whom lived in Shiganshina raged on, Eren Yeager who stood within the paths after his head made contact with Zeke. Eren held Ymir Fritz in his arms and read her memories, then became outraged of what he had seen.
"I'm going to save everyone! Ymir! Lend me your strength... and grant me the power to travel through time!" Eren shouted, while holding Ymir in his arms.
End Flashback
"Ymir." Eren gave Frieda an answer in the form of one name.
Frieda gasped. "Ymir, as in... the Founder, Ymir Fritz?" Frieda asked as she remembered reading books with her younger half-sister, Historia Reiss. After teaching Historia about Krista and Ymir Fritz, she would usually erase Historia's memories before she leaves the farm.
"Yeah. It's thanks to her that I'm still alive. And because I understood her feelings during her time of need, she granted me the power to travel through of time." Eren told Frieda.
"Wow, Eren. That's actually quite impressive. You can use Attack Titan to travel through time, now." Fried smiled.
"I wouldn't call it that, because all the Attack Titan's power can really do is see into the future. It's more of a... Founding Titan power." Eren quoted the word, Founding Titan.
Frieda felt surprised when she learned it. "F-Founding Titan ability? Then..."
Eren nodded. "You're most likely to awaken this power, too."
"I... I can? Wow. I never thought of it that way." Frieda said, then briefly sighed.
"But unlike me, you can probably travel through time at will." Eren added.
"At will?" Frieda gave the thought of time traveling a bit of thought. "Why not you, too you, Eren? How come I can travel at will, but you can't?" Frieda questioned.
"Because I don't possess any royal blood. I need the aid of someone from the royal family in order to hop back and forth between timelines."
"I understand the royal blood part, but I still don't follow when it comes to hopping back and forth between timelines." Frieda said, honestly.
"Alright, I'll explain it to you. Let's say, for example. This timeline is Point A. And the timeline where I saved my mother is Point B. I can easily use my Founding Titan to transport myself to Point B. But, if I ever wanted to travel back to Point A, then I need the assistance of the royal bloodline." Eren stated.
"Oh, I get it now. You need assistance from someone with royal blood, in order to return to Point A." Frieda said as she figured it out.
"But you, Frieda. You possess both the royal bloodline and the Founding Titan. So, it's easier for you." Eren explained to Frieda.
"Then, how did you return here with Miss Carla, then? Was there anyone royal blood at that time?"
"There was. My dad's first wife, Dina. She's a member of the royal family. Or at least, she was..." Eren said.
"I see."
"I told you about time traveling... but, do you want to know how to time travel?" Eren asked.
"Sure." Frieda happily accepted Eren's offer.
"I'll try to explain to you how time travel works by using the Founding Titan." Eren raised his left index finger. "First, you need to have a clear goal in mind of when-not where. But "when" you want to go to." Eren then raised his left middle finger. "And second, you must pretend as if you were transforming into a Titan as you are thinking of that timeline." Eren stated.
"Oh, so all I have to do is bite my hand and think of when I want to go?" Frieda asked as she was summing up Eren's words.
"Mm-hmm." Eren nodded.
"Wow. That's a lot to know about time traveling." Frieda said as she and Eren then sat on the bed, side-by-side.
"Yeah."
"Do you think you can teach me how to time travel?" Freieda asked as she looked to him.
"Whenever you're ready. Queen Frieda." Eren said, while also flattering her.
Frieda giggled. "Thank you, Eren."
After a brief moment of giggling, both Eren and Frieda then locked eyes onto one another as there were nothing absolute silence within the room. Eren carefully stroked Frieda's left cheek with his right hand and leaned in for a kiss. But before their lips could connect, Frieda quickly grabbed Eren's upper arms and pushed him onto the center of the bed.
Frieda climbed over Eren-who's pinned down on the bed. She then grabbed hold of Eren's wrists with both hands. "I'm sorry, Eren. But I'm the Queen, now. I can't just let you or anyone else overpower me." Frieda chuckled, as she crawled over his body.
"I expected nothing less from you." Eren chuckled silently. Eren then lifted his head high enough to deliver a strong kiss to Frieda's lips. Frieda responded by kissing Eren back but with a passionate kiss.
The Next Morning
Eren Yeager, who is dressed in a green trench coat had met his father by the front of castle, Mitras. The yellow sun had risen in the blue sky and there were few clouds floating thousands of feet.
"You wanted to speak to me, dad?" Eren asked as he met with Grisha.
"Yes. I want to talk to you about something that is very important." Grisha stated.
"I'm all ears." Eren said, casually.
"I don't know if you have been receiving visions, recently, but last night, I had just received one. It's very important."
"What was your vision about?" Eren asked.
Author's Note: I know time traveling isn't a real Founding Titan power, but I thought it would be more or as unique as the Coordinate.
