Author's Note: This takes place on the day Ymir Fritz became a Titan.
In the middle of the woods in broad daylight, the Adult Eren Yeager and Frieda Reiss stood before and gazed at large tree in front them, which stood thirteen meters high. The two Titan Shifters were currently in the past-all the way back during the Era of Ymir Fritz. Eren was dressed in his Survey Corp. gear as if he was prepared to kill Titans, while Frieda dressed herself in a green trench coat. They used the Founding Titan ability to travel all the way back to the day Ymir Fritz became a Titan.
"Um, Eren? If you don't mind me asking…"
"Go ahead." Eren said.
"Why have we come out this far to this timeline?" Frieda asked.
Eren paused for a moment and thought of something while staring at the tree. He remembered meeting his father, Grisha by the front of the castle, Mitras.
Flashback
"You wanted to speak to me, dad?" Eren asked Grisha.
"Yes. I want to talk to you about something that is very important." Grisha stated.
"I'm all ears." Eren said, casually.
"I don't know if you have been receiving visions, recently. But last night, I had just received one. And it's very important."
"What was your vision about?" Eren asked.
"It's Zeke. He's coming to the walls, soon." Grisha said.
Eren's eyes had grown big at least a centimeter.
"If I remember correctly, he should be coming within the next month or so." Grisha said.
"That's great. You finally get to redeem yourself within Zeke's eyes and you also get to make up for all the years you missed."
"That is true. But I'm afraid that I won't happen. I won't be able to meet him by the time he arrives on Paradis." Grisha said.
"Why is that?"
As soon as Eren asked the question, Grisha reached into his right pocket and pulled out a white handkerchief in front of Eren. It had a small stain of blood on it. The handkerchief made Eren think back when he saw Eren Kruger cough up blood through Grisha's memories. This alone made Eren Yeager's eyes grow big as he knew his father was slowly dying. His body did not react in the slightest.
"I'm afraid I have less than a month. As the Curse of Ymir continue to slowly eat away at my life force. Which means... I won't be able to watch your younger counterpart grow up. I won't be able to see Zeke in time... I won't be able to grow old with Carla, nor watch you marry Frieda..." Grisha in a sad tone. "And also, I won't be able to-"
Before Grisha could finish his sentence, Eren placed his right hand on his left shoulder.
"Leave it to me. I have a solution." Eren said as he made eye contact with Grisha.
End Flashback
"To save my dad from death's door." Eren told Frieda.
Frieda gasped. "You mean..."
"Yes. My dad has half a month to live. And this is the only solution I have in saving him. Ymir Fritz is the only one capable of undoing the curse." Eren said.
"I see..."
Eren then pointed at the dark cave-like whole within the large tree. "Do you see that dark hole in the tree?"
"Yes."
"Inside that tree is a bottomless lake. And inside that lake is a powerful specimen called..."
"The Source of All Living Matter..." Frieda finished Eren's sentence.
"Right." Eren nodded. "In a few hours, Ymir Fritz is going to be hunted down like a wild animal. Just because she released a bunch of pigs from their pen. As she's being hunted by her captors, Ymir will find this tree and will try to take refuge in it."
"While that is happening, what do we do?" Frieda asked.
Eren looked at the sky and knew that the sun was going to set in a few hours. "I have a plan." Eren said.
A Few Hours Later
Within an unknown village, the sun was setting and hundreds of people who were enslaved by Eldians were forced to appear before their captor, King Fritz who sat on a barbarian like throne. Each and every single one of them had their tongues cut out and their eyes were filled with void and hopelessness.
"Tell me, slaves. Which one of you released the pigs?" King Fritz asked.
The enslaved people remained quiet.
"Reveal yourself to me. If no one reveal steps forward, then you will all have one eyeball gouged out of your sockets. Slaves only need one eye to see." King Fritz demanded as he continued staring at the slaves.
Within the next moment, over a dozen slaves had pointed to a young Ymir Fritz, who did not react.
"Oh? Was it you who freed the pigs?" King Fritz asked.
Ymir looked at her fellow people who were all enslaved by Eldians, too. They all stared at her with eyes of void and hopelessness. She then responded by groveling before King Fritz.
King Fritz cracked a smile on his face. "Very well. You are free."
In the next thirty minutes, Ymir ran and ran for her life in the woods as she was being treated like a fox being hunted by hounds. Ymir was currently being hunted and chased by Eldians on horseback and dogs. They fired multiple arrows at Ymir, only to hit her in her left leg and right shoulder. Her eyes were bleeding, due to hitting a tree, face first.
No matter how hurt she was, she kept running and running, until she tripped over a rock and fell face first. Tears streamed down her face when she slowly risen herself up from the dirt. As she slowly looked up, she saw a large tree in front of her, which is thirteen meters high and a few dozen yards away from her.
Ymir silently gasped as she heard the sound of dogs barking, horses neighing and Eldians screaming in laughter coming closer and closer. With the will to live, Ymir kept pushing herself forward and forward and she slowly walked toward the large tree with what she has left. It took a minute for Ymir make contact with the large tree as she walked in. She assumed it was a hiding spot, but unbeknownst to her, was a deep pit, where she slipped and fell inside of. Ymir landed inside of a deep lake after falling a few dozen feet downward.
As Ymir drowned in the lake, she coughed as she was and was beginning to lose oxygen. And as she was drowning, a specimen unknown to humanity had begun to rise from the bottom of the lake. It was the Source of All Living Matter and it had sensed Ymir Fritz and approached her. It stretched its roots out and made contact with Ymir's backside as she continued to drown. And in the next moment, Ymir's eyes and mouth begun glowing a shining bright white light.
Meanwhile, Ymir's attackers kept trying to hunt her down as their dogs kept sniffing the ground. Next thing they knew, they felt a tiny quake and saw a massive spine appearing in the sky. And in the next ten seconds, Ymir had fully transformed into a massive Titan. A Titan that no man has ever seen.
Ymir's skeleton-like Titan was over one hundred and fifty meters tall and could be easily seen from hundreds of kilometers away. Even King Fritz and everyone in the unknown village could see Ymir's massive Titan, but had no knowledge of it being Ymir, herself. They were all completely shocked.
"RRRRAAAAAUUUGHH!" Ymir let out a scream, none like any other. As it had been heard from hundreds of kilometers.
Meanwhile, Eren Yeager and Frieda Reiss were on Ymir's far right, dozens of kilometers away. Frieda had already transformed into her Founding Titan and was shocked to see Ymir's massive and scary Titan form for the first time in her life. Eren stood on Frieda's right shoulder.
'My goodness! She's gigantic!' Frieda thought as she stared at Ymir's massive Titan.
'That's the Founder, Ymir for you.' Eren thought. He then looked at Frieda. "You remember what to do, Frieda?"
Frieda in her Titan form simply nodded to him.
"Great. Let's get started." Eren said, then used his Vertical Maneuvering Gear to glide away from Frieda.
'Okay, Frieda. You can do this. You're the Queen of Paradis and a direct descendant of Ymir Fritz. No one can do this better than you...' Frieda Reiss thought as she gave herself confidence, then she took a deep breath. In the next two seconds, her Titan eyes glowed purple and gave out the loudest shriek to catch Ymir's attention.
In the next five seconds, as a massive Titan Ymir was slowly walking toward the unknown village she had been enslaved to, she suddenly stopped and heard a noise. She looked to her far right to see Frieda Reiss in her Titan form, standing from dozens of kilometers from.
'Good. She noticed me.' Frieda had thought.
Ymir then slowly turned her entire body to the right and started walking toward Frieda Reiss, slowly.
'She's coming this way!' Frieda thought.
Meanwhile, Eren was secretly maneuvering through the woods, circling around Ymir's massive Titan, trying to get behind Ymir's blind spot. He remembered Levi did it against his brother, Zeke Yeager outside Shiganshina District. 'She's got Ymir's attention. Just a little bit longer.'
Flashback
Earlier, Eren remembered talking to Frieda about the plan.
"As soon as Ymir makes contact with the Source of All Living Matter and transforms, that's when you transform into your Titan." Eren said.
"But what would I do, then?" Frieda asked.
"Easy. You use your Founding Titan power to call her attention. It's not strong enough to control Ymir, but it would at least draw her away from King Fritz and the Eldians." Eren waved his hands close to his shoulders.
"And what will you do?" Frieda asked.
Eren looked down at his vertical maneuvering gear. "I'm going to use this maneuvering gear to circle around Ymir's blind spot as fast as I can, then cut her out from her Titan nape." Eren looked at his blades. "And once we grab Ymir, we can get out of here before anyone else shows up." Eren said.
"Okay." Frieda nodded.
End Flashback
Three minutes have passed, and Eren continued to maneuver around Ymir's blind spot, while Ymir's Titan came close enough to where she bent on her knees and extended her right arm out and attempted to reach and grab Frieda's Titan body. Frieda felt a bit worried as she saw Ymir's Titan hands attempt to grab her Titan body.
'Um, Eren?' Frieda thought before being grabbed by Ymir in her Titan form by the waist.
Meanwhile, Eren had grappled one of his hooks onto the right but cheek of Ymir's Titan, then maneuvered upward as fast as he could so he could reach Ymir's nape. 'Just hang on, Frieda! I'm almost there!'
Ymir Fritz then picked up Frieda's Titan off the ground, carrying her thousands of feet within the sky, staring at her face-to-face.
Frieda had a look of worry on her normal face as she stared deep into Ymir's empty and skeleton-like eyes. She didn't know what Ymir was going to do with her, next. Within the next twenty seconds, while staring, Ymir started uttering words. "F... Fri... Fried... Frie...da..." Ymir chanted.
Frieda gasped as in surprise she heard her name called by Ymir in her Titan form. 'She... just called my name!'
Ymir stood still for the next ten seconds, until she felt something or someone attack her Titan nape from behind. It turns out Eren had used the last of his gas to reach Ymir's nape and deliver a severe blow to the massive Titan.
Frieda gasped after seeing a look of shock on Ymir's Titan face. 'Eren did it!' she thought as she knew that Eren had slashed Ymir's nape. She then ejected herself from her Titan nape.
Eren grunted as he pulled Ymir from her Titan nape. He carried Ymir over his left shoulder, then ran and jumped onto Ymir's right Titan shoulder. Frieda also ran as fast as she could down from Ymir's right Titan hand to her Titan shoulder. Before Ymir's right arm that held Frieda's Titan body dropped to its side.
"Frieda! Are you alright?" Eren asked as he hugged Frieda with one arm while still holding Ymir.
Frieda hugged Eren back. "I'm fine. How's Ymir?"
"She's unconscious. But she'll be okay."
Frieda gasped in relief. "I'm glad."
Suddenly, Ymir's Titan body began rocking back and forth, due to the Titan body having no host. Frieda clungonto Eren, as he continued to hold Ymir over his shoulder.
"The body is about to collapse, soon! Hang on!" Eren told Frieda, while holding Ymir in his left arm.
"O-okay!" Frieda replied.
Both Eren and Frieda then bit their wrists and instantly transported themselves back to Frieda's timeline in the year Eight Forty-Five. Also taking the Founder, Ymir with them.
A minute later, the Eldians who were hunting down Ymir on horseback had just approached Ymir's Titan husk in close up. And before they knew it, Ymir's Titan husk had fallen, face first-crushing the Eldians on horseback and dogs.
The Year Eight Forty-Five
Ymir Fritz had slowly awakened from her slumber. When she opened her blue eyes, she gazed and looked at the beautiful night sky above her and saw a bunch of stars.
"Are you okay, Ymir?"
Ymir Fritz gasped when she heard a feminine voice, then her eyes rolled back a bit to see Frieda Reiss. She stared at Frieda and found herself lying on her lap. She then blinked once. "Fr... Frieda?" she gasped, then touched part of her mouth as she realized her tongue had returned.
"It's okay. You can speak, again." Frieda said.
"Wh... what happened?" Ymir Fritz asked, slowly.
"You're free, now." Frieda replied.
"R... really?"
"You're safe with us." Frieda replied, while smiling and bubbles of in her eyes.
After coming to the realization that she is no longer a slave, Ymir Fritz slowly begun to cry. Not out of shame or sadness, but she felt happy and relieved.
Eren stood a few yards behind Frieda as she caressed Ymir Fritz outside the capital, Mitras. He can hear her sniffle in relief. He couldn't help but smile, because he knows that she's free from slavery and oppression.
Author's Note: I personally didn't like the results of Ymir Fritz's background and why she kept serving King Fritz after he had done lots of atrocities to her and her daughters. I rather just have Ymir Fritz kill the King, then take over the Eldian Empire.
We'll see what happens next.
