"Eren! Of all the crazy things you've done... this has to be the most-" Grisha coughed while bedridden.
Standing in the room with a sick Grisha, were an Adult Eren Yeager, Frieda Reiss and a young adolescent Ymir Fritz. Eren and Frieda were dressed in green trench coats and Ymir had worn something different.
Shortly after Ymir Fritz arrived in the future, post two thousand years... she had been taken care of, like a normal child. After setting foot into the capital, Ymir was fed and bathed by Frieda Reiss, herself. Afterward, Frieda dressed Ymir in some new clothing. From then on, Ymir had worn a cerulean-colored dress that covered her knees over a short, white-sleeved shirt with a thin black headband on her head and a pair of short black Jary Jane shoes. Her blonde hair had been cut shorter, reaching down to her neck level.
"There is no other way, dad." Eren replied.
"I know that, Eren." Grisha turned his gaze toward Ymir Fritz. "But, traveling through time and involving the first Founder? Aren't you afraid that this act could lead to dire consequences?" Despite feeling weakened by Ymir's Curse, Grisha felt worried.
"Consequences?"
"Yes, Eren... you have potentially changed the future for Eldians by bringing Ymir Fritz to this timeline. Without Ymir Fritz to start the Titan history, two thousand years ago..." Grisha coughed, softly. "Eldians will cease to exist."
Eren stared at Grisha for a few seconds. "I knew you would say something like that." Eren walked over to the bed where Grisha was ridden. "But there are some things you and the world got wrong, though." Eren bended his left knee in front of Grisha, then looked back toward Frieda who stood in the room.
Frieda took this as a sign and then covered both of Ymir Fritz's ears.
"Eldians existed long before Ymir became the first Titan. And it wasn't Ymir Fritz who started the Titan history. It was the king who enslaved her, called Fritz." Eren said.
Grisha gasped. "What?"
"Yeah." Eren nodded. "As soon as Ymir made contact with the "Source of All Living Matter", the King used her to wipe out most of his enemies and built a massive empire, under Eldians. Then, he forced Ymir to birth his offspring when she was a teenager. And when Ymir finally died, he forced their daughters, Maria, Rose and Sina to eat her corpse so that the Power of the Titans could keep living on. And it's been happening for the past two thousand years." Eren told Grisha.
"Eren... h-how do you know this?" Grisha asked.
"I first met her through Zeke and I saw her memories." Eren had answered.
Grisha looked shock and paralyzed after hearing Eren's story. "I see... it all makes sense, now." Grisha then raised his head slightly higher. "So, The Great Titan War... and the World's hatred for Eldians... it all started back when the King..." Grisha then summed it all up. "Tell me... Eren. Now that you helped "this" Ymir escape such fate... what are you planning to do with her-after you heal me?"
"I plan to let Ymir stay in the walls for a week-just so that she can see how capable Eldians are. After that, we're taking her back to her own timeline." Eren told his plan to Grisha.
"That is understandable." Suddenly, Grisha started coughing sickly. He accidentally coughed up some blood in front of Eren.
Eren could see blood hanging from Grisha's lower lip. 'It's time!' Eren then quickly looked back to Frieda, again. Letting her know that he's done telling Grisha what truly happened.
Frieda nodded, then removed her hands from Ymir Fritz's ears and brought her over toward Grisha.
"Are you ready, dad?" Eren asked as he stood back up and stared down at Grisha, who was dying from the curse and seemingly didn't have long to live.
Grisha looked directly at an innocent Ymir Fritz for five seconds, then back to Eren. "Anything... to see Zeke... again." Grisha said in a weak tone.
Frieda placed her hands on Ymir Fritz's shoulders, temporary, before Ymir extended her right arm and placed her right hand on Grisha's forehead. Grisha closed his eyes as he allowed Ymir Fritz to do what she could to heal him.
Ymir Fritz's eyes glowed white for five seconds.
Afterward, Grisha eye's suddenly shot open as he felt a vibration throughout his entire body. His heart begun to beat sixty-to-one hundred beats per minute again, which is the average human heartbeat. His flesh glowed a bit, filling itself with life once more.
"Did it work?" Frieda asked Eren.
"Only one way to find out." Eren looked at Grisha. "Do you feel any different, dad?" Eren asked as he cracked a smile.
Grisha then sat up in his bed and looked at his hands. "I feel... so much better. As if, the heavens decided to relieve me of my burden... and give me another chance at life." Grisha took his time answering Eren. He then imagined himself standing within the Paths and gazed at the night sky.
"I have removed the curse and restored human his lifespan." Ymir Fritz stated.
"You here that, dad? You're free." Eren said to Grisha.
Frieda gasped, then eyes widened after hearing Ymir. She could see the smile on Eren's face. Telling her that he's right. It then made her eyes water in joy as blue bubbles appeared. "I'm so glad." she said as she happily wiped the tears away.
Ymir Fritz looked up at Frieda, who seemed to be crying in joy.
"This is fantastic." Grisha said in a happy manner and squeezed his right hand. "I can finally live a normal life again."
"Yeah, but I advise you to be careful, dad. You can't regenerate anymore, nor turn into a Titan." Eren stated.
"Huh? But, what about you, Eren? Aren't you going to ask Ymir Fritz to remove your curse?" Grisha asked.
"Not right now. I still have less than four years, remaining. And there are some things I need to get done, before I ever think of asking to have my curse removed." Eren replied.
"Hmm. Very well." Grisha pressed his glasses closer to his nose. "I hope that you don't wait 'til the very last minute, just to-"
"Dad!"
Adult Eren, Frieda, Ymir Fritz and Grisha had all turned their heads and looked to the door and saw a younger counterpart of Eren and Mikasa standing by it.
"Eren. Mikasa." Grisha called them by their names, then turned his body to the side of the bed facing them. His legs touched the floor.
"Doctor Yeager." Mikasa said.
"Are you okay, dad?" The Younger Eren asked as he and Mikasa ran toward Grisha and hugged him.
"I'm fine, now. You don't have to worry." Grisha replied while hugging Eren.
Eren stared at his younger counterpart for a short moment, then looked toward Frieda. "I think we should give them some space."
"Are you sure, Eren? This looks like a happy moment..." Frieda asked.
"It's alright. I can handle it." Grisha told Frieda.
"Doctor..."
"There isn't anyone in the world that these two love more than Carla and I." Grisha told Frieda, while still hugging Eren's younger counterpart and Mikasa.
"Okay." Frieda nodded, then looked down to Ymir Fritz. "Ymir, there's someone I'd like to take you to meet." Frieda began to lead Ymir Fritz out the room.
"Really? Are they nice?" Ymir Fritz responded as Frieda led her out the room.
"Of course, she is. She reminds me a lot of you. I think you two will get along, just fine." Frieda smiled, then thought of her younger half-sister, Historia.
Adult Eren stayed behind and watched Frieda leave the room with Ymir Fritz. Then, he looked back to his dad, Grisha, who's still embracing his younger counterpart and Mikasa. He walked toward Grisha, then rubbed his younger counterpart's head. "I'll leave you to look after them."
"I plan to." Grisha replied.
After that, Adult Eren had left the room. But as soon as he had set foot out the room door, he was met with a-
"How is Grisha doing?"
Eren looked to the right to see that his mother, Carla Yeager standing in the halls and looking at him.
"He's doing a lot better than before, mom. The curse that was eating away at his life is gone. He's gonna live." The Adult
Carla sniffled in joy. "I'm so glad." Her eyes watered a bit as she wrapped her arms around her adult son's neck, hugging him in the process. "Thank you for helping him."
"Anything for you, mom." He then replied by wrapping his arms around her upper back, hugging her.
Meanwhile, Frieda had opened a door and led Ymir Fritz into a child's room, where there were toys and books in it. "Here we are."
"Where are we?" Ymir Fritz asked as she looked around the room, until she was approached by a young Historia Reiss. She had worn a similar dress as Ymir, but it was red.
"Frieda!" Historia happily hugged Frieda Reiss as soon as she had walked in the room. "I'm happy that you're back."
"Hi, Historia. I'm happy you're okay." Frieda smiled as she laid a hand on Historia's upper back. "I have brought a playdate."
"Eh?" Historia then looked down from Frieda then spotted Ymir Fritz, who was a few centimeters taller than her.
Ymir Fritz lightly gasped as she stared at Historia. A tiny blush appeared on her cheeks as she can see the resemblance between herself and Historia.
Historia giggled as she can see that Ymir's a bit shy. "Hi! I'm Historia. What's your name?"
"I-I'm... I..."
"Please. Take your time." Frieda kindly told Ymir Fritz.
Ymir Fritz took her time, before speaking. "I'm... my name is Ymir." Ymir Fritz told Historia.
"Nice to meet you, Ymir. I hope we have fun, together." Historia smiled.
As Ymir Fritz introduced herself to Historia, the tall and skinny Ymir leaned on the wall, outside the room.
For the next seven days, Ymir Fritz would live in the capital of Mitras within Paradis Island. During one of those seven days, Eren had chaperoned Ymir Fritz around within Wall Sheena and introduced her to different people. Eren didn't introduce him to Paradis' Military, because he didn't want the government to abuse her Titan powers. Frieda Reiss would attend to her duties as Queen of Paradis, during that time. But whenever she's not busy, Frieda would play with both Historia and Ymir Fritz and read them stories.
Now, the sun was rising and Ymir had stood face to face with Adult Eren and Frieda.
"I appreciate you both. For everything you have done for me." Ymir Fritz smiled toward Eren and Frieda.
"We are also delighted to have you apart of our lives, Ymir." Frieda placed a hand on her heart.
"Since you're going back to your own timeline, Ymir..." Eren rubbed his ear. "Are you going to try and make your world a better place?" Adult Eren asked.
"Yes. And after reading this storybook... twice." Ymir Fritz looked down at the storybook she currently held in her arms. It was the story book that Frieda would read to Historia, during her visits. "I decided... that I want to be as this book depicted me to be. I want to be altruistic, just like Krista. And help those in need within my own timeline." Ymir Fritz said.
"We're glad that you are able to make your own choices." Adult Eren smiled.
"Mm-hmm." Frieda nodded to Adult Eren, then looked toward Frieda. "Fireda? Can you tell Historia... that I had fun playing with her?" Ymir Fritz asked Frieda.
Frieda's eyes watered and she smiled. "I'll be more than happy to."
"Goodbye." Ymir Fritz kindly waved at both Adult Eren and Frieda, only for Adult Eren to respond by nodding and Frieda waving back at her. Then Ymir's eyes and body begun to glow white in front of their eyes. Ten seconds later, within a flash of light... Ymir Fritz had vanished into thin air, without a trace.
Eren and Frieda stood still in the exact same spot as they watched Ymir Fritz vanish. They stayed silent, until the sun was halfway risen in the sky was turning orangish and blue.
"Eren?" Frieda called.
"Yeah?" Adult Eren replied.
"Do you think everyone will forgive us?" Frieda asked while staring at the sun in front of them.
Adult Frieda was throne off at that question. "Us?"
"Yes. I mean, we haven't been romantic, lately. So, I thought, maybe we could-after..." Frieda was interrupted by a hand being placed on her right shoulder. That hand belonged to the Adult Eren.
"That's up for them to decide. All we can really do is move forward." Adult Eren told Frieda.
"Maybe, you're right." Frieda said in response.
Adult Eren remained quiet for a minute, until something or someone had popped up in his mind. "Oh, yeah. That reminds me. Zeke will be here, real soon."
Frieda suddenly looked at Adult Eren in surprise. "What?"
