Summary/disclaimer: Time for another chapter of Thieves' Dance. Enjoy the 4500-word chapter. I don't own RWBY. Monty Oum and Rooster Teeth do.

Russet set down on a statue in the middle of the city. He raised his head from looking down at the ground before he was going to do it. This place ate into people like him and that didn't seem to change today. It almost made him scream despite how he stared at the entire area.

"There's too much on the mind at the second, I'm going to be insane," Russet said as he brushed off his arms and looked around with annoyance. "We both know what will happen next if this is said and done," Russet stated before he crossed his arms.

There was a lot more going on than he expected. This had become a lot odder when it came down to it. The woman from before still raced through his mind, interested in why she had that power and what had been done to this place.

There was a lot more on his mind than it had been a few hours ago. He was so caught up in his thoughts that he didn't notice the bullet which flew by him, almost winging him in the arm and cutting into the stone.

This was honestly cool when it came down to it. He was honestly more amused than anything. It had been an odd time for him to think. The fact that he had been thrown for a loop like this was not.

He had been curious about what the hell had been when it came down to it as of the second. He dodged a bullet while pulling Phantom from his belt. He twisted in the middle of the air before landing as he looked down at the woman.

It had to be the woman who had been a threat. It'd always be a threat to him as of the time being. This had become a dance that hadn't yet come down to it.

She fired a shot at him which made him question what the hell was her endgame before this was all said and done.

This would be… Something… A lot more to this. There was a lot more to this before now. It'd be a lot worse than anything else before long.

Still? he had found her or she him or something at the end of the day and this was exactly what he wanted.

He swung his weapon at her only for her to roll and fire another 2 shots at him while he dodged to the side before, he glanced around him.

"YOU…" Emerald stated before she cracked her fingers, far worse to do when it came down to it.

there was more to be said and done. she flicked Thieves Respite to the side which flicked it open before long. She sent the weapon flying at him only for him to dodge, rolling under it as he sent her flying back with a sling of Phantom. It'd be a long time before this came down to it. It'd be so easy when it came down to it.

This had been a lot more this as of the second. He'd be a lot more to say next. Then again? If was to be so easily done as of now? He'd probably be done.

He turned and smacked the weapon around before wrapping his own around hers and pulling him inwards. He'd be all said and done. This all had to be coming down to it, all of it needed to end either way.

"Did you seriously come back to try and handle this?" He questioned before he rolled his eyes at her.

There was oh so damn much to find out when it came down to what was to happen next. He'd be surprised if she wasn't trying to cut him to pieces within seconds… Wouldn't be the first time someone tried to murder him so easily as for the time being. He'd simply need to fight harder and smart.

She knocked Phantom to the side, forcing the maces to spin into the air as she tried to send the maces after him. He only spun his weapons which sent hers skidding along the ground as they tried to wrap around his weapons.

'She's good. She's cocky though. I can tell she wants me dead more than she wants anything and she's trying to kill me fast and quickly.' Russet stated before he hummed and questioned what the hell to say and do next.

If she wanted a fight so badly? He'd deliver.

He gripped her chain before easily throwing her to the side and flying towards her. He dodged into the air before she opened fire on him, her gunshots shattering stone around him.

He snorted in amusement as several of her shots seemed to faze past him. It was only a moment before he was able to spin around several of the bullets and swing one of Phantom's maces at her.

She ducked before aiming one of her weapons at him. It had been an even fight as she wrapped one of her sickles around his mace which stopped it from smashing into her head. The huntsmen nodded at her before spinning and sending the other mace at her only for her to deflect it with a gunshot.

"This isn't going to end like the bookstore." Emerald sneered which made him roll his eyes at the woman in question as she did so.

"Yeah, your partner won't get in your way as he did before," Russet stated as he retracted the mace and spun it to the side.

There was only enough to make him amused. He knew that she was dangerous. She was probably just as powerful as her partner.

He tossed himself backward with a flap of his wings. She was probably damn good at fighting at range. The speed and power of her guns told him that one of those blasts might drain at least 15% of his aura a piece. It'd be a dangerous thing to attempt and keep his difference. Still? He wanted to fight her properly when all of the facts were put into place.

Still? if she was so dangerous? There'd be at least something that he could do to stop her before it came down to it.

She was scary, but he seemed to know how her semblance worked and had enough of a plan in place to stop her and bring her down. He knew that her semblance was probably more dangerous than her.

Still? there had been so damn much that could go wrong when all of this was done and dusted. He whipped his weapons back, pinning them in place as he did so. Emerald seemed almost bemused at the idea before he faced her.

She faced him while he rolled his eyes before he questioned before he tilted his head at her. He questioned what to do next.

She looked at her before he questioned before it came down to it. There was a lot more to this as of the question when all of this was said and done before the time.

Emerald glanced at Russet at the two warriors slowly circling each other before she hummed while she still questioned what to do next. It'd be a lot more as of the time being that had been coming down to it as he seemed to tilt his head at her. There had been a lot more riding on this battle for the second.

He smirked before slowly starting to flip to the side, unsure of how to properly face her and how this would go.

Russet only flicked his weapon towards her, unwilling to do much of anything. She flipped over it and landed on the ground, unwilling or perhaps unsure of how to counter it as he drew in closer, whipping the weapons around before he sighed, not willing to face her as openly as he wanted and not willing to face her on her terms when it came down to it, there was just no way he was walking away from this fight when all had been said and done. No blasted way.

Russet dodged another of her strikes as she seemed to fall silent, elbowing at him only for him to dodge and kick her to the ground, it made him purely happy as he kicked around her, throwing her to the ground, she found this amusing, didn't she? Found him to be a toy she could mess with as she seemed perhaps prepared for more and prepared for what was to come when all day was simply maddening, there was more to this, a lot more, and a lot more he had yet to do much of anything towards.

Well? Damn her and the horse she rode in on since he'd be damaged if he was beaten by some thief.

Their weapons became entangled within the others as they pulled, trying to yank the other off their feet, it made both purely maddening as he went, there was no pain to this, no effort as the two seemed to become more and more maddening as the two swept their weapons around, trying desperately to impale the other on their weapons as they did so. It became maddening for them as this fight went on and on with them attacking and the other defending. Still? neither gave up.

He tugged her forward and opened his mouth, a maddening screech which shattered glass and sent tiles being thrown back and forth while she was sent tumbling backward, her ears bleeding as she watched him to his when all of this was all done and dusted.

She slammed into the wall, her weapons untangling as he seemed to be dazed and confused, it made her hopeful for an end to this fight where they didn't try to kill each other.

Then again? Where was this end now? Where was this battle to end without a proper end? They had been fighting for so long a time that it had become something insane, a lot crazier if not properly settled. They had been fighting so long he had honestly begun to question if either could win if either could properly battle the other to submission.

"Your good, but I'm better. I know you're the same one who tried to kill my contact and I know you're not going to just back off if I don't take you down. You think I'm stupid enough not to take you down properly?" Emerald heard as Russet tightened his grip on his weapons, unable to properly fight.

"And you think you're any better? You've barely even scratched me." Emerald stated while he hummed while he tilted his head before as now when it all was done and dusted.

He sighed and retracted his weapons to himself; he knew more than she just what would happen if it did go all the seemed to handle what to handle as of now. He tilted his head, unsure of how this fight would have gone if he had become insane at the end of the day. what he did know was she was more insane than she had been before now.

He sighed, too tired to do anything with the power she had been prepared to handle. Had she expected when this seemed to be done and dusted? Had she properly failed when all of as the for being?

He didn't know and he didn't want to care for now when it was all over with for now. That was for another time.

Still? there was something for now on her mind, something cutting, clawing into her brain. All it did was something that could be felt everywhere. She didn't want to know what it was. She just wanted him deader than dead, her blood boiled seeing him, but she paced herself. She could wait… he wouldn't, he would die here before today. There was only so much she could have done, only so much she could focus upon… But she could focus on seeing him dead.

And she damn well did, firing a barrage of blasts that forced him to throw himself back… it didn't work as he dodged, flipping around the shells as he tangled his weapon around a lamppost and sent her flying with such a thing. Her aura cracked as she seemed to realize he was just as powerful as her, just as capable of killing her as she was of him.

She tried to kick in her semblance only for him to unleash his upon her, throwing her backward with an inhuman screech that shattered panels and sent her before she focused upon now. There was something for now about what to do next. There was a lot more while she tilted her head before now.

There was something to handle for the tilt of her head, while she seemed to tilt her head. Emerald sighed as she slowly looked up at him, tilting her head. There was something else for now? Well? Emerald seemed to focus more on killing her.

Emerald questioned before now what this monster what to tilt her head, there was something else. Emerald knew that he was powerful. Emerald watched Russet slowly approach her before he looked at her, glancing her way.

"You're not normal, are you?" He questioned as he looked at her. "There's so much more you could do and you decide to be a murdering monster for some bigger monster who wants Vale to burn. And you don't even care if you hurt people, do you? There will be a lot more to question for now. There will be more for you to handle, more for you to die upon and you would only care if you're the one being hurt, don't you?" He questioned, sneering at her.

She could only growl, who the hell was something like this to question her? Who was this? There was a lot more to focus upon for now. She would be before now. There was something else bogging her mind, what had become of her work for this to be the type of performance she gave? She damned him; she damned all who stood in her way. Only her target could matter, only would it matter when he was down.

Nope. He was going to die for now. She wasn't going to let him a question for now. There was something else to focus on before he seemed to handle it while she tilted her head as she hummed what to question before now.

There was something to focus on before now. There was something else on the mind. This hadn't been the proper idea before now.

There was a lot more to have on the mind. A lot more he could have handled. This problem was something that he wanted to deal with properly. There was a lot more on his mind than her.

He charged forward as they spun their weapons around and closed the distance. He heard her send the weapon skidding towards him as he ducked it and slammed into her, spreading his wings so she went flying backward.

"What are you? A thief or an assassin. I smell Mistral on you… You came from there?" Russet stated that there were a lot worse problems on the mind.

Something else had yet to have gotten where it belonged. She was powerful, sure…. However? This was something that he couldn't have dealt with anytime soon. She was a lot worse than it should have been.

"How the hell do you know that?" Emerald as Russet hummed, looking around as she did so.

There were a few seconds of silence as he waited, questioning how to dispatch her. They had to end this fight quickly or else they'd come to have taken them all downwards.

There were a lot more issues. A lot more problems to have gotten when this was all said and done. It was such that he hadn't been prepared for the worst that this could have offered. She was dangerous, sure… But she wasn't the same as she had been back at the bookshop. It wasn't at all like that. No, he had to be beyond what she had thrown at him. there was no other point in such things.

It had been a lot worse than it should have been. Such problems were beyond his control. It wouldn't have been possible for him to simply back down, but it was within his power to call the fight if there was something he didn't understand. Yes. This had been something he was just dancing through such measures. It was odd, a lot odder than he had dealt with.

"If you're going to ask? The least you can do is answer some of my questions. Though, with how you're just trying to kill me? I suspect you're either desperate or this fight isn't going to be going anywhere. Then again? Your probably angry, I've been giving you a very hard time trying to please your master, haven't I?" Russet questioned as he raised his eyebrow.

"How the hell do you know… Right, you work for the old man." Emerald said to which Russet rolled his eyes.

"If it was so easy to kill my master? You'd have done it already. You're as terrified of him as your master is arrogant towards Vale. It's not as easy to destroy as you assume it is." Russet stated while he sighed, looking around as she did so.

There were a lot worse problems here than that… And he could tell it rather easily. She wanted blood, a lot more blood than he had on his hands. Sure, it was pretty damn well creepy, but she was eager for a kill. One which he saw no end to other her.

He sighed and glanced at the woman before realizing he'd probably have to kill her. Not out of any terrible moral reasons, but because she was dangerous. He knew what would happen if he didn't finish her off. She was far too evil to have gotten off the hook. There was also the problem with how crazy she was and how scary it would have been.

"You know if you weren't an evil thief who worked for a horrible person? Maybe we could have been friends… Oh, no wait. I'm sorry. I forgot evil thieves like you like to murder shoppers because they stand in the way of their evilness…" Russet mocked as he snorted to himself.

There was a moment of silence to which he had fallen silent. It had been… Nice to have such reassurance when all of it was said and done so. It had been an odd little problem, something that made him tilt his head, too unaware of what she could have done and how he could have gotten it. This was beyond him.

She was so unwilling to have done something to get him off his back. It hurt so much that it burned, that it cut holes in every single little thing. He didn't want to have gotten it so far, but he could haven't have done so much. However? All he wanted to have done was bury it more and more and more. He didn't want to have to admit it, but it was something that he credited entirely to the focus he needed. If it had been something worse? Well, he'd not have such a thing on his mind.

Yes, that seemed as was the case while she glanced up at him with hate written all over her face. All to do was remind him that he had been on the wrong side of history. They had been enemies for so long.

She lifted one of her weapons to shoot him as he was pained to have looked at her. Such a measure was driven itself made by such moves. He didn't know what it'd have been…

"What, am I supposed to give you some giant hero such about how what you did was wrong and all that?" Emerald heard as she sighed.

"Please, either kill me or let me kill you, but I'm not in the mood for all this crap. I don't want to have to put up with it, not at all. This isn't the day for it anyway." Emerald said while Russet frowned and started to roll his eyes at such a horrid display.

It hadn't gotten along with anything he could have known. If there was something that could have gotten online and done much about it? Well, all it did was drive him up a damn wall until it hid from him.

Well, until he ripped through her like mush. He wasn't going to let her stop him.

"And what is, huh? You're not exactly some big-shot hero yourself, aren't you?" Emerald asked as he rolled his eyes under his bandages.

"Bigger hero than you are, what kind of thief throws in with Salem? Huh? How are you? Thinking that Salem is going to be able to save the planet." Russet sneered as if he was all too annoyed when it comes down to it.

Russet was honestly prepared to keep this fight going if he had to when it was all said and done. They had so much more to focus upon now which he was tired of now. He questioned before he focused upon when it seemed to have been.

"You don't even know who my boss is, do you?" Emerald asked before she rolled her eyes. "You are so good at fighting, but you haven't even figured that out? This is sad." Emerald stated before he shook his head at her.

He didn't even know when it came down to it what her plan was. She had been driven to the ground when it came down to it. She had been a slippery eel slowly starting to slip through the cracks, it wasn't even a matter of how it'd end, only that it'd end sooner or later. She couldn't afford to run away when it comes down to it.

"You're not going to be that easy when it comes down to it. I know exactly what you are up to when it all ends." Russet stated before he rolled his eyes.

He shook his head and could only seemed to have found some mirth in such a small amount of these tasks. Russet was no fool, nor did he believe she was less dangerous than before. She was a soldier, someone whom had been on the frontlines of war before and knew exactly how to kill someone.

She had also come here purely to have given him a fight to the death. If anything? He didn't know what she'd have done for the time being.

"I know your one of the better warriors Salem has… But I don't know why you're working for her. She's not offering you anything worth it, is she?" Russet asked before there was a noise.

He managed to find his footing once more as he flipped to his feet and looked at her. There was a moment of silence as he shook his head, only pondering what the woman wanted and how he could have understood how to have stopped it.

She managed to roll and gain her weapons before he sighed as he rolled backwards, unfurling his wings as he did so. If she wanted to have killed for such a thing? She'd have done worse, far worse…. However? He damn well knew she was going to need to be taken down and taken down fast before she did something that could have gotten for the time being. He didn't at all know what to have completed for the time being.

She swung her weapon around which caved into the wall next to them, he flew around the blades of Thief's Respite as they cut through stone and rock as if it hadn't at all existed. All it served to have done was make him more and more exhausted and amused as he slowly yet sure to have to focus upon for the time being.
