Chapter 12: Klara's life

They were back at the monastery where Lara had been hiding since evil had won badly it is far from over. Klara looked at everyone and walked up to Kurtis and she bent down to look at his wounds.

"Kurtis you've grown stronger than any of the Lux Veritatis who had lived." She said making him look at her.

"What do you mean" Kurtis asked in his broken voice.

"Your wound has heeled themselves in few minutes like there is never any wounds only a scar." Klara took a breath "It means your powers have increased in the last few days while you were their prisoner."

"Is that a good thing" Lara asked. "He gave half of his powers to me"

"It's very good, without the powers you have and he being tortured everyday his powers filled the gab and made more then it should." Klara took a breath "My powers I gave the first one of the Light of truth were as powerful as mine. I made him the leader and his generation would continue his powers and his leadership until the end and My Prophesy say the last member will grow stronger every day in his battle against evil to awaken my mother to stop Karel my brother from destroying the world."

"Okay so how must I awaken your mother?" Kurtis asked as he tried to get up

"Find the tree of life and you'll find the answer to that question. Karel had planted the tree before he turned against us. He said to me that one day we would save the world from evil by the power of the tree." Klara said and turned and walked to the point of the mountains edge and looked to the Castle.

Lara looked to the others and walked to Klara. Kurtis knew what she is going to do and walked with leaving Irene to look around.

"Klara you loved your brother, what happened. Why did he turn?" Lara asked tapping Klara on the shoulder feeling her heat. Lara had noticed Karel feels cold and Klara Hot. Like they were like fire and ice.

"I still love him even if he gave me this scar." Klara said picking her arm up, underneath by her waist is a long scar. Lara could make out it's a very old scar and looked at Klara

"Go on"

"As we learned the worlds evil and how we should fight it away, Karel had begun to see something I can't explain but then that one day mother had used her powers to fix a town that had been destroyed, Karel sees her powers and wanted to be as powerful as her and he went behind her back to find out how to be as stronger than our mother but he fail." Klara sighted. "Mother found out and punished him and sending him down to the earth to roam with people as a Fallen Angel but Karel found the God Hides and asked to be immortal to have more powers then our mother." Lara and Kurtis just listened in as she went on "I saw this from above and warned my mother who didn't believe me until my brother faced us saying he would throw us in a deep sleep. We went to war and my mother is then trapped in an ice tomb until someone awakens her again. I got away with this wound and heard my brother from far saying he would find me and kill me."

"So, I wondered around on earth and met Kurtis grade-grade-grade-grade-grandfather and he told me what had happened here in the Sahara Desert that once was a town now because of my brother this is the immense battle ground. I asked your grade grade-grandfather whose name is Pieter if would join me to fight my brother till the end and he agreed. We started our order and I gave some of my powers to all 20 humans who had joined and we went to battle every time and we won without my brother defeated and some of the order knights had been killed so I left and gave Pieter the 4 shards and he would be the leader and his generation will continue to be the leaders until the last one, the powerful one stands up and awakens my mother and defeat Karel."

Klara finished and looked at them. "Now you know what had happened from our birth until now. My brother is never evil, he isn't born that, he chose the wrong path." She said.

"So where's the tree of life?" Kurtis asked.

"On the other side of this world, on the highest mountain and in the cold place no man would dare to go there or will make it out alive." Klara answered.

"Mount Everest" Lara answered.

"Lara as smart as always your right and that's where we are going." Klara answered.

"How will we survive up there?" Kurtis asked.

"With my help you'll all feel like your climbing a normal mountain." Klara answered

"I'm glad you're both here Lara and Kurtis" Klara went on "My plan of stopping my brother is going to work."

"Did you know I would join Kurtis?" Lara asked

"No I didn't but I tried my best to push you to get involved in the darkness. It's my fault but I picked the best fighter and the strongest woman in the world. You are the Amazonian."

"Wait a minute. How did you do that?" Kurtis asked not happy to hear this.

Klara sighted. "It all started when Lara went to Egypt, she is on the trail to find the amulet of Horus and Werner also. I showed you the path to were to look for the amulet, I also knew what would happen if you took it."

"But why use me if you knew what would happen." Lara said.

"Because I knew if Seth took Werner's body he would be a target for Karel because whoever walks with the jackal will be possessed by Seth."

"Werner had found the Jackal stick on another site that led me to find Horus Amulet." Lara said more to herself.

"Yes, he did, and I knew you would do the right thing and imprison Seth again and I know it almost took your life that is my fault and I fixed my mistake. Putai is walking by that same day and I made her go look inside after she had heard the temple had fallen."

"So that's how she saved my life, you send her." Lara said

"I didn't want my best fighter, my chosen one to die before the war began again. That would mean Kurtis here would be fighting alone without that little hope called love." Klara took a breath "After Putai heeled you, I made sure you went back to London and finish what you started and After I heard Karel had made contact with Werner I visited him and told him what would happen if he doesn't call you for help and you know the story from there Lara. He called and called until you came but I didn't know that he would die that night I'm really sorry."

"Its fine, but" Lara paused.

"What's wrong Lara" Kurtis asked

"Why did Karel keep me alive?" She asked

"He saw what I saw. He sees your talent; my guess is he has chosen you also."

"What when?"

"Maybe even before I ever looked at you, I don't know but you've chosen to help the light and not the darkness." Klara said with smile.

Lara also smiled "Let's move then, talking about the past won't help us win this war"

"I agree" Kurtis said taking Lara's hand and looks at her in her deep brown eyes, he still wanted to hide her from all this but if what Klara said is true then Lara's destiny is to help win this war.

"Then let's go, Irene" Klara said

Irene had wondered around but appeared when Klara called her

"Yes" She answered

"Take us all to Mount Everest please" Klara asked and held out her hand as everyone had already taken Klara's hand and holding on waiting for Irene to do it and then Irene smiled and placed her hand on Klara's they were gone.

Karel stood outside the castle and looked around the battle ground and smiled because he had broken the weary thing that could destroy him, the shard but his smiled faded away because his sister, the one who had created the shard has returned to help his very enemy to stop him. He wanted his sister to just disappear but he knew that would only happen if he did something to get rid of her.

Karel then realized something, something deep down inside of him that had long left him had come back. He shook his head. He didn't want to feel love again or the sadness.

Now that he thought about, he got angrier and he told one of his warriors to track down and bring back Klara as a prisoner. The warrior did so and got his men together and they set of on Klara's trail.

Karel smiled again "Klara, my sister your time is up. You will be punished like mother" He said rubbing his hands and he went back in the castle.

The warriors of light had started climbing the mountain where Irene could transport them to, but Irene had said her journey stop here, she won't be climbing the mountain for a good reason The tomorrow people had one weakness had it is going up mount Everest.

Now as the where climbing Klara suddenly stop and Lara and Kurtis were worried about this. "Klara are you alright." Kurtis asked and touched her, she felt like she is on fire

"I'm fine it's just we will have visitors." Klara answered looking at them

"What do you mean?" Lara asked.

"My brother has sent his men to come and get us and bring me alive, alone."

Kurtis looked at Lara, now he really wanted to hide Lara far away where Karel won't find her.

"Well let's get to that tree faster before they came" Lara said and claimed on with Kurtis and Klara behind her. Klara looked up at the heaven and prayed to awaken her mother soon, she is not strong enough anymore to face her brother alone and he will kill her if he captured her, she knew that. She sighted and went after the adventurers.
