Nephalem Outlaws
THIS WORK IS COMPLETE FANFICTION
Chapter 2
The first day at the Academy was boring, after Minato finished his speech about the 'will of fire' which was all about how strong the leaf was and how it was still here even after the 3 Shinobi Wars, I get it he using propaganda to inspire us to become Shinobi which would've worked if I didn't remember my previous life but then again he is talking to children.
As we were sent to our classroom we were introduced to our teachers and surprise surprise it was Iruka Umino and by himself to look after a classroom full of kids (have fun Iruka) as Iruka told us that they he be unlocking our Chakra in 6 months while they drill us in the history of the village, weapons training and taijutsu but just the basics but they did tell us that they will be giving us library pass to use but only have access to the civilian side and the students side, that was the only good news at least I can find out more about this world and figure out what else is different from Canon.
As the class ended for the day and the kids were released and went to there parents to picked them up I saw something else that wasn't in Canon, Kushina Uzumaki alive and well but she went by Senju instead as I heard the people around her as they greeted her.
"Mom/Dad" the kids said as they went to there parents except for me as I was an orphan.
"Natsumi, Mito, Naruto how was your first day" Kushina said.
"A bit boring can we get ramen please" Natsumi said.
"Oh yes... ramen please" Mito said.
"Hai mum after ramen can you help me train" Naruto said.
"Sure we can get ramen kids, Naruto I told you before once you graduate I'll start training you but the girls need the training first okay sweetie" Kushina said with smile as Naruto looked down with sadness.
'Okay what the hell, first why wasn't Naruto getting any training at all and second what the hell Kushina aren't you an Uzumaki shouldn't family come first'
I thought as I activated my eyes and saw her chakra which was immense but nowhere near her daughters, so why is she not training Naruto she should have way more than normal to make a Shadow clone to help with training even then isn't she a Jonin she should have no trouble training all 3 at once.
I shook my head off and turned to leave but stopped in my tracks when I saw Itachi starring right at me and me right back with my eyes still turned on.
'Oh shit' I thought as I turned them off immediately.
"So that's what your sharigan looks like... I can see why it's similar to ours" Itachi said as I ran past him to the library but didn't noticed that Sasuke was next to him.
"His eyes are freaky, how did he awaken them while I haven't" Sasuke said.
"Now then little brother don't be mean, I'm sure when our clan first awakened our Sharigan it was freaky to everyone elses and from what I heard he awoken his last year" Itachi said.
"Really... is he a Uchiha I never seen him around the district before" Sasuke said.
"No he's not... he's an orphan" Itachi said.
"If he's an orphan how did he get those eyes then brother" Sasuke said.
"From what I heard his mother was an Uchiha but she died when he was born the night the 9 Tails attack the village, but I don't know who his father is, but I did hear father saying to his mother to give up the baby or risk being removed from the clan in the end she choose the baby instead and was removed from the clan" Itachi said.
"Why did father do that" Sasuke asked.
"He didn't say even when I asked him" Itachi said as he led Sasuke home.
After ten or so minutes I found the library I used my pass to enter and seeing it was my first time the Librarian told me that the Library closes at 6 pm and was closed on Sundays, the first thing I did was head to the civilian section first and find out anything on the history of this world that would help me sort out what was going on as the show never revealed much about the history of there world.
It was annoying the only thing I found was the world map which was helpful as I saw so many countries that I didn't know existed, I mean I saw a part of the map from Chunin arc from the show but it was incomplete as it only showed the 5 Great Nations and the smaller ones in between them.
'I guess either the 10 tails or the clan wars destroyed much of this worlds history or both... guess if I'm going to explore these nations I need some survival lessons... guess I'm staying in the Academy till I fail the exam at least that way I have some skill without being recognised as a leaf Shinobi'
I thought as I made my way out but stopped when I saw a survival book.
"Finally something I can use" I said quietly as I took the book and made my way to the Librarian to checkout.
As I checkout and left the Library I made my way to a supply shop and bought some blank books, ink and pen with little money I have left thankfully for me the store had a discount for Academy students and my Library pass was I need as the colour showed it was issued to students only as I left I bumped into Iruka.
"Oh sorry Iruka sensei" I said as he looked at me.
"What is that you Koji, no it's Kenji" He said trying to figure out my name.
"It's Ken sir" I said.
"Ah that's it Ken... forgive me but what is your family name Ken" He said.
"I don't have one sir I'm orphan" I said getting shame look from him.
"Sorry about that, what are you doing here" He said.
"I found this book at the library so I just went into this store to buy some blank books and pen so that I can copy the information down" I said as he looked at the book.
"Survivalist Guide When Alone In The Outdoors... I see your getting a head start in your training good thinking Ken" He said.
"Thank you sir... also sir" I said but stopped hoping he saw I was going to ask a question.
"Yes Ken go on" He said.
"I was wondering if there was history book of the world or something" I said.
"Why are interested in world History Ken" He asked.
"Easy sir if we don't learn from history then we are doomed to repeating it" I said as I was often fond of phrases like that in my old life.
"Woah... okay good answer... was not expecting that from a 7 year old" He said with a bit of shock.
"Sorry Ken but any books on world history would only be about a 100 years old maybe more and then it would sound like something from a funny horror story" He said getting a slightly puzzled look from.
"Can you give an example sir, oh and do you who name of our world sir" I asked.
"Well the name of our world is called Elem but some people call it Sanctuary but that was so long ago that only a very few know that and as for the history part only thing I know was that thousands of years ago or more about Diablo the lord of Termites and that he wanted to spread the world with it but that just some funny myth" Iruka said with a laugh.
"Right... right funny horror story... I'll see you at class tomorrow sir" I said as I left.
"Right see you tomorrow... Lord of Termites haha" He said.
That got me thinking that the 10 tails and the clan wars really did destroy this worlds records.
'Oh god dammit I'm in Sanctuary... and it's not Termites it's Terror, Diablo Lord of Terror' I kept thinking to myself, sure Shinobi could come up with some nightmarish people like Orochimaru or even Kakuzu who rips out peoples hearts for his own use, but against Diablo or any of the lords of hell not a chance, I'm pretty sure they invented the word 'nightmare' with what they done.
I raced home and began coping everything down in the book from the survival one, if I was going to survive then I need to learn from the Academy, as ideas raced in my head with jutsu's that can help something else came into my head.
'Wait... diablo and the other lords were defeated by the nephalem... and my sharigan is different... no I can't be one... can I, bathroom mirror will let me know'
With this thought I ran to the bathroom and looked at myself in the mirror at first I was seeing my black hair and black eyes I looked like an Uchiha, then I took a deep breathe and closed my eyes and activated my eyes and when I opened them and saw myself in the mirror, I saw my activated eyes for the first time and I can see why the girl at the Orphanage called me a demon, they did look like the eyes of demon, as I looked into the mirror a smirk showed itself on my face, there was no blue flame coming off me at all.
I know what your thinking just because you don't have a blue flame doesn't mean you don't have Chakra but here's something you don't know, at the Academy the civilian children haven't had there Chakra unlocked and yet there was a blue flame coming off them, from that logic it meant that there's a chance I could become a Nephalem.
'Okay what do I know about Sanctuary... it was created hundred of thousands of years ago from the World Stone by Rebel angels and demons to get away from the Eternal conflict, they wanted to see if peace between there people was possible and it was, the nephalem race was born from that peace with powers different from there parents effectively making them there own race in there own right, there power was greater than there parent races so much so that the leader of the rebels tuned the World Stone into acting as an Inhibitor for the Nephalem weaken there power'
Each new generation of Nephalem were weaker than the last till they turned into humans and only a small few could be born as a Nephalem, but the World Stone was destroyed by the Archangel Tyrael after Baal Lord of Destruction corrupted the Stone, so there was a chance that more Nephalem could be born afterwards but then Malthael decimated the human population with his followers and the Black Soulstone, it would probably take a thousand or so years for humanity to recover long enough for Kaguya and Isshiki Otsutsuki to come and plant the 'God' tree and for Kaguya to betray Isshiki, fall in love with someone, give birth to twins boys one of who would become the Great Sage, her sons betraying her after seeing what she was doing to the people of land, after her defeat and sealing the tree which became a Ten Tailed creature or whatever into himself, Hagoromo becoming the first Jinchuriki.
'That's it, that's why there aren't any Nephalem and that might explain bloodlines, Hagoromo spreading Chakra around the world and teaching people on how to use it, Chakra acted like another Inhibitor preventing Humans on Sanctuary from becoming Nephalem and people with bloodlines such as lava, ice or even magnet release could be actually our Nephalem heritage trying to break through... and if that's the case, then probably those born without Chakra might have a better chance of awaken and becoming Nephalem'
'But why didn't my meditations awaken it, maybe it's different, maybe a should picture fire in my hand and not just the picture but the heat as well... worth a shot considering I'm a Uchiha and fire does come naturally to us'
I brought my hand in front of myself and closed it, thinking of fire in my I concentrated at first nothing happened but I concentrated even harder and I saw smoke coming from my hand, I felt heat coming off it, slowly I opened my hand and saw my palm engulfed in flames, I smiled it worked I then concentrated on willing the flame away and it worked, I then used one of my fingers and imagined a small fire on the tip and there it was.
"Okay very good chance I'm a Nephalem" I said quietly even though I was excited but then a thought entered my mind.
'Wait a minute Naruto... he didn't have any Chakra he could be a Nephalem as well'
The thought did have merit as neither me nor Naruto had Chakra and yet I managed to produced flames even though I was a little exhausted from it.
'I'll deal with Naruto later and in the meantime I'll keep practicing and keep an eye on Naruto after the 6 months when Naruto and I can't unlock our Chakra then I'll go to him and see if I can unlock his Nephalem abilities... seeing he is a Senju and a Uzumaki I'll see if I can unlock his Chains or may be an earth affinity instead... maybe I should explore the village and see if I can find any Nephalem ruins here, a very and I mean a very low chance of finding anything like that but who knows maybe I will'
'I might as well do that, it's nice to explore and the only places I know in the village is the shopping district, library, the Orphanage, home and the Academy... still some places to explore, I do that tomorrow after the Academy in the mean time I might as well try that ramen Naruto been talking about in the show'
With this thought I left my apartment and made my way to Ichiraku's Ramen stand, it took about 10 minutes to find it but the smell was really out of this world.
"Hello there... welcome to Ichiraku's Ramen... this your first time" Male voice.
"Yes it is, the smell brought me over I couldn't resist it" I said with a smile.
"Hahaha my ramen tends to do that, the name is Teuchi" Teuchi said introducing himself.
"Name is Ken nice to meet you... can I have some chicken ramen please" I said.
"Sure one chicken coming up... hello Kushina, kids nice to meet you, your usual" Teuchi said.
"Nice to meet you too Teuchi and yes please" Kushina said as she, Naruto, Natsumi and Mito joined me.
"Got it... 2 miso, 1 pork and 2 chicken coming up" Teuchi said as he got cooking.
"Oh hello nice to meet you" Kushina said to me.
"Oh hello Lady Kushina, Naruto, Natsumi, Mito my name is Ken it's nice to meet you" I said getting the three eyes on me.
"Oh hello/Hi" They said as Kushina sat in the middle with the girls on her left side and Naruto next to me.
"Oh polite are we" Kushina said with a smile.
"Your in our class are you ken" Mito asked with her red shoulder length hair and blue eyes.
"Yes I am, but I don't know for how long do" I said.
"Oh why is that" Kushina said.
"I don't think any chakra techniques will work for me" I said.
"Again why is that, it's too early to tell and you got 6 months before they unlock it" Kushina said.
"I don't think I have any chakra at all" I said knowing it was the truth.
"Oh and what makes you think that" She said back.
"My eyes told me so" I said getting looks.
"Your eyes, does that have something to do with why Itachi looked at you with interest" Natsumi asked.
"Yeah... I have a visual ability that lets me see Chakra and how intense it is" I said getting looks that told me they wanted to see it even Kushina had that look.
"Fine I'll show you, but just a heads up someone called me a demon when they first saw it a year ago so please be nice"
I said getting nods and with that I closed my eyes and focused, when I opened them they saw my eyes turned blue with 3 slits in it and no dot in the centre.
"Woah I can see why someone called you a demon, they do feel a bit freaky" Natsumi said as her red and blue chakra that engulfed her was intense but calm.
"So you can see chakra coming off us" Mito said with her chakra just the same as her sister.
"Yeah quite easily even mister Teuchi chakra I can see even though it's quite small, sorry" I said getting a laugh from Teuchi.
"Don't worry kid I'm a ramen chef not a Shinobi so it would be small" He said.
"So your eyes can see chakra does that include the fox's chakra that me and Mito have sealed into us" Natsumi said getting shocking look from me.
"Wait you don't know that, how did you not know that" They said.
"I was raised in an Orphanage after I was born on the night fox attacked and lost my mom that night" I said getting a sad look from them.
"Sorry we didn't mean too" They said.
"It's okay I'm fine about it, just wish to know who my father was though" I said.
"Wait you don't know who your father is" Natsumi said getting a deadpan look from me.
"Oh right sorry... so do you have a last name" Natsumi said.
"No... but it could've been Uchiha as I heard the caretakers from the Orphanage saying that my mom had a choice to make either have me and get kicked out of the clan or give me up and remain in the clan"
I said getting a shock from them but more from Kushina.
'No he can't be, can it' Kushina thinking.
"Do you know your mother's name" She said.
"Only that it was Aki" I said getting a more shocking look from Kushina.
'He's Aki son... then there's a chance he could be his son, I need to get a paternity test to confirm but there is a chance, she did say that her boyfriend broke up with her two days before the one night stand'
Kushina thinking as Teuchi served us his lovely smelling ramen.
