A/N: Thanks as always to my friend qazse with help for reactions and Sai for the script and the actual video. Check out the video if you haven't already and help him out with subscribes and comments and stuff.
"Wait!" Ruby said before the video started.
"Huh? What is it?" Katana asked.
"You said Akasha is the Huntress in the footage we're gonna see now, right?" She asked.
"Um... Yes? Why?" Katana questioned once more.
"Can we meet her, please?" Ruby asked.
"Yeah. I'd be interested in meeting her, too." Blake added, popping up by Ruby's side.
"Really? Why? You haven't met any of the other hunters we've seen so far, so why her?" Razara asked.
The two of them were silent for a moment, before Tekko smirked. "You just think it's cool she's a vampire, don't you?" She asked, to which the two nodded.
"Fine. But keep in mind, I don't know what she's doing at the moment, so she might be mad from us just pulling her in here." Katana said.
Suddenly, in a flash of light, the hybrid girl in question appeared in the room, about eight feet in the air, clad in gold and white-scaled armor, a similarly Insect Glave in her hands. "You're done!" She said, swinging the weapon, only to hit nothing but air. "What the?!" She cried out, before collapsing to the ground. "Uh... What the heck?" She groaned as she stood up, looking around and seeing her aunt and cousins standing alongside a seated group of warriors. "Aunt Katana! I was in the middle of a fight with a Shagaru Magala!" The vampire girl complained.
"Based on your armor and that Insect Glaive, it looks like you already have." Razara said, noting the armor and weapon her cousin held were composed of parts from the Heavenly Revolving Dragon.
"Sorry, dear. But some fans of yours wanted to say hi." Katana said.
"Fans?" Akasha asked, looking at the group.
And, almost instantly, Ruby and Blake were in front of her. "Hi! We saw you in one of your dad's lore videos! I mean, you were only in a few clips, but you looked really cool!" Ruby said.
"Just like vampires! Which, you know, you are. But that just means you're that much more cool!" Blake said, to which Ruby nodded rapidly in agreement.
"Uh... Thanks?" She said uncertainly.
"So, since you're a vampire, will you die in sunlight? Can you turn into a bat? Are you allergic to garlic and, if so, is it 'deathly' allergic, or will it just make you fart like in Resort Mistralvania?" Ruby asked.
"Or do you sparkle in sunlight? And can you read people's minds?" Blake asked, clearly still imagining vampires from her "Dusk" books.
"Whoa, whoa, slow down!" Akasha exclaimed, holding her hands out to calm them. "Sunlight won't kill me, but my lighter skin burns easier. I can turn into either a mouse or a bat and I can grow bat wings from my back. And I'm perfectly fine eating garlic." She explained to Ruby, before looking at Blake. "And hell no, I'm nothing like the vampires from those books." She said, but managed to hold herself back from being unnecessarily rude and calling said books "trashy".
"Okay, just one more question. Would a stake through the heart kill you like a real vampire?" Ruby asked.
"Well, yeah? A stake to the heart would kill just about anyone!" Akasha said with thick sarcasm, but also an amused smile on her face. Realizing that point, Ruby blushed rather sheepishly at the obvious statement, the others agreeing as well. [1]
"So, you mentioned you were facing a Shagaru Magala. So, you have faced Elder Dragons before. You must be quite the young hunter." Winter said.
"I like to think so." Akasha said with a confident smirk.
"And how old are you, exactly?" Glynda asked.
"15." She answered.
"Impressive. Have you considered attending a Huntsmen academy, like Beacon or, hopefully, Atlas?" Ironwood asked. "Ozpin accepted Ruby early, so we could likely squeeze you into the semester." He offered.
"Please don't poach my niece." Katana said with a glare.
"Eh. I had my sights set on UA, actually." She explained.
"Superhero high school." Tekko elaborated before anyone could ask. "Alright, introductions have take too long! Let's get this started!" She declared.
A Huntress was seen walking through some type of forest with a canopy of foliage above her head, connected to a handful of rock spires. However, something was watching her from on top of the canopy, making a strange, almost alien noise (Predator noises), before moving from its position. The Huntress her these noises and began to look around for the creature, as it continued to make creepy, disturbing noises as it moved around her (Jason noises), starting to make her panic slightly. Finally, the creature dropped from the canopy above, hanging upside down right in front of her! "Boo!" The creature declared, before knocking the Huntress onto her butt with a blast of water from its elephant-like trunk.
Many felt a shiver up their spine as they heard the creepy noises. "Ooh, I hate that." Jaune said fearfully.
"I assure you, Jaune, you are far from the only one." Pyrrha assured him as she and the rest of the cinnamon trio were deeply unsettled by the noises.
Especially the whisper. "Ahh! What is that! It's like someone's laughing as they're whispering! That only has sinister intentions!" Ruby exclaimed.
"It sounds like something you'd hear out of a slasher flick." Velvet said shakily, not noticing the three younger demons giggling at how unknowingly accurate she was.
But then they finally saw the creature in all its glory, the fear INSTANTLY gone, with Ruby gasping. "It's that cool and cute thing from the Kinship Attacks!" She declared.
"I remember! The one that flew like a flying squirrel!" Pyrrha agreed.
"Yes! I always wanted to see this one!" Velvet cheered.
But then, the Huntress was knocked on her butt by the monster's water attack. "Looks like we've got a prankster on our hands!" Yang said.
"I love it even more now." Nora said.
"Oh, yeah. This is gonna be fun." Coco agreed.
Akasha was wandering through the Ancient Steppe in pursuit of the monster she was hunting. "In the never-ending race to survive that is adaptation, a sizeable handful of creatures may develop similar features to that of other creatures. But sometimes, one singular adaptation is not enough and the creature continues to evolve and develop more traits of other life forms until they have adapted in such a way that makes them specialists in the biome they call home." Sai explained as his daughter continued to survey the area. "Such is the case with the enigma with which we find ourselves looking at today. A creature so strange it almost defies classification. So strange a platypus would look at him and go 'that is the freakiest thing I have ever seen'. The Strange Monkey Fox, Kecha Wacha." The host declared as Akasha stumbled upon a giant lemur-like creature with long fingers, giant ears and an elephant trunk.
A good number of the teens couldn't help but chuckle at the platypus line. "That's quite a feat. Just how weird does this thing have to be for the honor of a platypus to call it freaky?" Emerald wondered. But then they finally got a solid look at the monster. "Yep. That's freaky. I'd say the platypus was spot on." She said.
"Strange Monkey Fox. That's kind of cute." Ilia cooed.
"And just look at the thing. Strange is probably the most accurate thing you could call it." Qrow said.
"Oh, come on, Qrow! Don't be mean! But, where is the fox part in all this? I'm seeing 'strange' and 'monkey', but not 'fox'." Summer pointed out, to which everyone shrugged.
"The fur color maybe? That's the best I got." Akasha said.
The demon/vampire hybrid engaged the strange simian in combat. "A member of the Fanged Beast family, Kecha Wacha is uniquely adapted to life in places with lush foliage, such as forests, jungles and the Ancestral Steppe. As can plainly be seen, it has a very lithe body similar to a lemur, making them light-weight and therefore, very speedy and agile. They also possess flaps of skin on their sides along their body known as a 'patagium', which they use to allow them to glide like a flying squirrel or Tobi-Kadachi. Their tails are also prehensile and end in hooked barbs, which allow them to hang from the trees like an opossum. And these are just its adaptations that focus on a SINGLE use. It has quite a few more that have multiple purposes to ensure the Kecha Wacha's survival." Sai listed the creature's notable adaptations as it maneuvered around the Huntress.
"I've always wondered what it would be like to have a tail strong enough to hang from. But I just got cat ears from my mom." Blake said.
"It does look fun." Adam admitted.
"And flexible, considering how far it spun and twisted its tail to do so, but it didn't even seem to mind." Hazel pointed out.
"I find their speed and agility most impressive. As well as the patagium. I don't think I've heard of any primates being able to glide before." Weiss noted.
"Technically, no. There is a creature known as a flying lemur, but they are not classified as lemurs, or even primates. That's why they're also called colugos." Penny explained.
Akasha then managed to mount the monster and tried to bring it to the ground. "So, first off: the ears. Yeah, it's not just mimicking Dumbo with that trunk, it's also got some giant hearing helpers. So large, in fact, that they have muscles in them that allow them to move and fold over the Kecha Wacha's eyes, both defending its sight and hearing from flash or sonic bombs respectively, but also to give it an intimidation factor with the giant eye patterns on the back of the ears now over its face to give it a truly demonic appearance. And while it can no longer see with its eyes covering its face, with its ears folded downwards, it can now hear the movement sounds of potential attackers" Sai explained as the creature folded its ears over its face, dawning its intimidating mask to try and frighten Akasha away.
"Aww, it's even cuter now!" The cinnamon trio and the animal lovers all cooed.
"Look at it, trying to look intimidating!" Ruby said in baby talk.
"And the spikes on the ears look like little toothies!" Emerald baby talked as well.
"I might just die of cuteness." Glynda said, holding her heart.
"Note to self: get Ruby one of those for her next birthday." Cinder quietly told herself.
"It's also quite impressive how it can defend two of its senses at once while also giving itself that guise of intimidation." Ren added.
"Not to mention, its range of hearing is rather impressive, to still hear things even with its ears folded over. And if can pinpoint the footsteps of its attackers, it can likely gauge their distance and know exactly when to dodge or move. It takes Huntsmen and Huntresses who have lost their sight YEARS to master this skill." Ozpin praised.
Akasha then managed to bring the monster down and started landing free hits. "And, perhaps most obviously, the ears give it exceptional hearing so it can escape incoming predators and hear insect larvae inside hollow spots in trees. And this ties into their next appendage: those giant, hooked fingers. In addition to hooking onto slippery vines so they can swing through overhead canopies, they can use these fingers similarly to the aye aye to reach into the hollow points of trees they've bitten into to dig out and eat the insect larvae." The host informed while showing a clip of a small primate digging its thin, but lengthy finger into a trees hollow point to fish out a grub. "And, obviously, they can swing them like giant hooks to tear through anything dumb enough to come within range." The host added as the Fanged Beast lashed out at the girl accosting it.
"Very interesting. Certain primates are known to use tools to reach insects the otherwise couldn't, but this creature circumvents the need for a tool. Very handy." Winter said, not catching herself.
Weiss gasped at this. "Winter! What have you done!?" She exclaimed.
Suddenly, Winter felt herself embraced by Yang and Neo. "Ey! Welcome to the sistership of puns, Ice Queen!" Yang declared.
"Yeah! One of us!" Neo cheered.
Winter's eyes widened. "Oh, no. what have I done?" She said in horror.
"Moving on, that's neat how it hooks to vines with its fingers. I've used my cane for similar maneuvers whenever I got chased by persistent coppers." Roman noted, before looking at Ruby. "Or nosy teenage Huntresses." He added, to which Ruby stuck her tongue out at him.
"But with those long arms and long fingers, that gives it quite the large range. And those fingers end in some pretty nasty claws. I don't think I would want to see just what kind of damage they could inflict." Ironwood said in concern.
"Yeah, but something Dad forgot to mention was they can sometimes get their claws stuck when they slam them into the ground." Akasha noted.
"Huh. That's two times he's mentioned monsters that get themselves stuck if they mess up their attacks. I wonder if this is becoming a pattern." Blake said.
The fight between Huntress and monster continued as the beast folded its ears over its eyes again. "Finally, I'm sure you've all been wondering about the elephant trunk. Everything else made at least some level of sense up to now, but this just derails all of that, is probably what you're thinking. Well, much like the ears and the fingers, this has a use for both survival and combat. Firstly, the Kecha Wacha can suck up water in this trunk and then spray it into its mouth similarly to an elephant. But this trunk also contains a specialized organ known as a Flood Sac that allows it to store up large amounts of water, which it can use defensively to fire from its trunk as giant globs of mucus water at its attacker that can inflict waterblight, weighing down its opponent and making it difficult to recover." Sai informed as the beast did indeed fire huge water globs at Akasha.
"Yes, I most certainly am wondering about the trunk." Weiss confirmed Sai's first statement. "Why on Earth does it need that?" She questioned.
"Yeah, it feels REALLY out of place seeing a monkey with a trunk. And... kind of creepy." Adam said.
"HOW DARE YOU!?" The entire female audience shouted at him.
However, they were quickly calmed at the idea of the monkey drinking like an elephant. "Ohh, that would be so cute!" Nora cooed once more.
"It still seems strange... But it's just too adorable to question." Glynda declared.
But then they heard the trunk's offensive use. "Mucus water? Nasty!" Ilia said, cringing along with the other girls.
"Must. NEVER. Get hit. By that." Weiss said, trying to hold back her lunch as she thought of the idea.
"Yeah, that docked it a few points on the cuteness meter." Coco said, before noticing Velvet glaring at her. "B-but only a few!" She said quickly and nervously.
"I suppose the mucus likely acts as a bonding agent to keep the water together as a giant glob, rather than being harmlessly splashed out like nothing." Penny theorized, although she, too, cringed at the idea.
"Still, it's pretty incredible. Everything it does has AT LEAST a secondary function. This might as well just be 'versatility, the monster.'" Cinder said, impressed.
The monster hung from the canopy from its tail while swiping at Akasha with its claws. "This all lends the Kecha Wacha to an arboreal, its long fingers and tail allowing it to stay up in and around trees and thick canopies where many large predators cannot reach while being able to use its trunk to reach down and drink from water sources without coming all the way to the ground. And thanks to an omnivorous lifestyle, eating mostly fruits, seeds and other vegetation while being satisfied with insects such as Altaroth, Konchu, grubs, or Bnahabra to fill its meat cravings, so it rarely has to contend with larger monsters for food and put itself in danger from most predators that might try to eat it, such as Najarala, Tigrex, Nerscylla, Deviljho and Gore Magala. And as such, places like the Ancestral Steppe, Sunken Hollow, Primal Forest, Everwood and Forest and Hills are the ideal habitats for this creature." The host finished the details on the creature's lifestyle as the creature dropped down and tried to slam its claws down on the demon/vampire hybrid.
"Yay! The lemur cutie is safe!" Ruby cheered.
"What a relief. It'd be just as much of a tragedy as if a Lagombi were the one being attacked. Maybe even more." Pyrrha said.
"Agreed. You know, I think they should be on a list for protection along with Dodogama." Velvet suggested.
"An excellent idea, Miss Scarlatina. We should have it written into law as soon as we get back to Remnant. Right, sir?" Winter asked Ironwood, although the tone of her voice sounded MUCH more like a demand.
"Y-yes. Excellent idea, specialist Schnee." Ironwood agreed nervously.
"So, who's the commanding officer again, Jimmy? Because from here, I'm having a hard time telling." Qrow taunted.
"You're lucky I don't have my guns..." Ironwood told him.
Akasha now leapt up high with her Insect Glaive to match the monster as it hung from the canopy, taking away its aerial advantage. "And in the case of particularly clever Kecha Wacha in the Sunken Hollow, they will take advantage of an abandoned Nerscylla's nest and move in themselves. All's well and good... Assuming the Nerscylla doesn't come back and basically finding dinner in the middle of its living room." Sai explained as Akasha continued to launch herself through the air after the monster.
Ruby and Velvet gasped at this, before glaring at Arachne, the creature backing up and taking a warning stance, but Pyrrha quickly jumped in to defend her monster. "How dare you try to eat the precious!" They both snapped.
"Now, now, girls. You can't really be mad at the Nerscylla for this one. It's just coming home and finding another monster there. Anyone would be upset." Pyrrha told them.
"Exactly. This one is on the Kecha Wacha for taking over the nest of one of its predators." Blake defended the spider as well.
"You'd think that would just be some form of common sense in the animal world. Like, yeah, the nest may SEEM abandoned, but you never know if and when the owner might come back, so if that monster happens to be one of your PREDATORS, just stay away from there!" Roman added.
"That's... actually a fair statement, Mr. Torchwick." Ozpin admitted.
Akasha was then seen fighting a Nerscylla with old-timey music in the background. "I tear apart any intruders I find in my nest for home defense. Just as the Founding Monsters intended." An automated female voice declared, clearly in place for the Nerscylla.
Then, some of the teens laughed at the old-timey Nerscylla's speech. "That sounds exactly like my grandpa. Only- you know- NOT in a robotic female voice." Jaune said.
"Oh, yeah. I can almost picture my grandfather now! 'Back in my day, we didn't have no new fandangled transforming weapons! We had muskets that took five minutes to reload and we were happy!'" Yang agreed, putting on an elderly voice and trying to sound as close to a man as she could.
"My dad even thought my axe-rifle was too high-tech." Summer reminisced about her father's words on her weapon.
"Even my father relied on a simply, straightforward bow and arrow. Not even Dust arrows." Ren added.
"Sometimes your best weapon is the most simple." Hazel said, raising his fist.
The monster continued to dance around the Huntress as the fight continued. "And thanks to this relatively danger-free lifestyle, the Kecha Wacha is a very chill monster, very peaceful and preferring to flee over fight. It does have a curious nature, if you show up in its environment, it's gonna check you out and see what you are, but you're PROBABLY going to walk away unharmed. And even when it does have to fight, for the most part, it feels more like it's playing around than anything. Look at it, it has a smile on its face as it's fighting. It thinks this is a game." Sai made note of the creatures personality as it did indeed seem to be smiling as it faced its attacker. "But once you start damaging it and hurting it, it realizes 'Okay, this is starting to hurt. Now I'm gonna hurt you back'. And then it becomes surprisingly aggressive, nothing like how it was only moments ago as it pulls out all the stops and does everything in its power to get rid of the danger it is facing." The host warned as the creature lowered its ears over its face, roaring and attacking with much more ferocity.
"Yay! Friendly monster!" Ruby cheered.
"I always felt a connection with curious animals. Never understood why, but I just feel a kinship with them." Nora said, before looking at two certain people. "And no, pun not intended." She said, quickly catching herself before Yang and Neo could induct her into the sistership of puns.
"Even when it's fighting it looks cute." Velvet cooed again.
"You know, I bet as long as we're just playing- and it doesn't spray us with nose water- it might actually be fun to fight a Kecha Wacha." Neo said, getting nods of agreement from the cinnamon trio and Nora as they all imagined play-fighting the beast.
Akasha now maneuvered around the beast as it slammed the ground, trying to attack her and her palicos. "So, in the event you are tasked with taking down a Kecha Wacha, what should you do? Well, one of the most important things is to anticipate its movements and let it come to you. Don't tire yourself out constantly chasing after it, especially if its in an area where there is a canopy it can climb up and get on top of. Because then you'll be chasing up after it as it jumps down after you and jumping down after it as it jumps up to get you. You'll just wind up doing a vertical version of a Scooby-Doo door chase. " Sai advised, before showing a clip of an absurd chase scene involving a bunch of teenagers fleeing a monster with a wheelbarrow as they ran through several doors, comically rearranging their position each time.
Ruby and Yang giggled. "Classics." Yang said.
"Those cartoons were always our favorites." Ruby agreed.
Their mother smiled at this. "Oh, yeah. I loved watching those shows with you when you were little." Summer said nostalgically.
Akasha was then seen up in the canopy with Kecha Wacha as they continued to fight. "But while we're still on the topic of the canopies they so love to exploit, it CAN be used against them. For remember, while these canopies are thick enough to walk on and support the weight of hunters and monsters of lighter weight, it is STILL not a solid floor like the ground is. So hitting the Kecha Wacha with enough force can actually push it through its foothold of foliage, leaving it stuck almost like a pitfall trap, allowing for some free hits. Then, after a few seconds, the Fanged Beast will fall all the way through the mesh of vines and foliage down to the ground below, the shock of which will leave it stunned and struggling to get up, opening it up for some more free hits." Sai explained as his daughter did indeed knock the beast halfway through the foliage, leaving it stuck and open for her to land some danger-free hits before they both fell to the ground below.
"Well, that's just cheating." Ilia said.
"Hey, it's a fight for survival and that's a giant monster. You need every advantage you can get. That's why we don't 1-v-1 giant Grimm." Adam reminded her.
"But you know, in a way it's ironic. Its greatest advantage can become a weakness if relied upon too much. A good lesson to keep in mind." Glynda said.
The Huntress and the monster continued to dance around each other, dodging each other's attacks while attempting to land their own hits whenever possible. "Beyond that, the ideal weapon to bring would be either a Fire or Thunder weapon to exploit its elemental weaknesses. And, while these are ineffective when its ears fold over its face, sonic bombs work well to disrupt the creature by messing with its super-hearing and flash bombs will daze it like most other monsters when it isn't covering its face, so take full advantage whenever possible." Sai ran through the list of ways to one-up the monster as Akasha managed to bring the beast down to its side once again.
"You know, I never understood why fire would hurt water monsters." Weiss said.
"Yeah! Seriously, haven't these monsters ever heard of Pinchermon?!" Nora demanded.
"What do you mean? Haven't you seen the anime? Water Types are TOTALLY weak against Fire Types!" Tekko said, smirking at the meme.
"Heh. Good one." Akasha praised her cousin.
And finally, Akasha managed to complete the hunt and bring the monster to an eternal rest. "And so, that is the main version of Kecha Wacha, but we're not quite done yet, because we have a Subspecies to talk about: the Ash Kecha Wacha." Sai declared, showing an image of a Kecha Wacha mid-glide with fittingly ash-colored fur. "Slightly larger and more physically powerful than its normal counterpart, but as its name suggests, it has a mostly grey coat of fur with spots of blue, while its hands, feet and face are a dark black color, the most vibrant color coming from its ear mask, which sports a yellow-orange pattern to contrast the dark background. Another contrast from its orange counterpart being its element. Whereas the orange one had water, Ash Kecha Wacha has a Conflagrant Sac that lets it shoot fireballs instead of globs of mucus and water, catching those unfortunate enough to be hit with Fireblight and flipping its weakness from Fire to Water, keeping its Thunder weakness and gaining an Ice weakness." Sai informed on the basics of the beast.
"Ooh, this one's pretty cool, too." Jaune said.
"Agreed. Nothing wrong with the orange version, but I think I like the colors on this one better. A bit less jarring." Hazel agreed.
"I think the blue spots are nice." Velvet added.
"Ooh, the eyes on the ears look all eerie..." Ruby said ominously, before immediately brightening back up. "Which just makes it more cool!" She cheered.
"Indeed. Over the other one, I would actually say this version's eye mask is intimidating." Ren agreed.
"I know, right? It looks like a total badass!" Yang cheered.
"And I like the element swap this one has going on. It's weird to see fire come out of something's NOSE, but I'm definitely a fan of this one." Cinder said.
Akasha was shown facing the monster one more time. "And so, that is all the key information on Kecha Wacha. It is a really cool monster, a very sleek appearance, all of its adaptations perfectly compliment its lifestyle up in the trees, it has a really unique and interesting way of fighting and I really love its personality and the way it's smiling as you fight it as if the whole thing is just a big game. And beyond that, the armor that can be made from it is really cool and its weapons are awesome." Sai declared as the various weapons made from Kecha Wacha parts were shown.
"Okay, yeah. Those weapons are all pretty cool." Emerald said.
"Definitely. The Insect Glaive kind of reminds me of Sun's staff." Blake noted.
"Aww, the hunting horn is the symbol monkeys! That's adorable!" Velvet cooed.
"And the armor's not bad, either. Looks kind of tribal, like a festival dancer or something." Coco pointed out.
"Yeah, I could see myself wearing something like that. It's cool and cute." Nora said.
Akasha was shown peacefully walking through the wilderness again briefly, before fighting the Kecha Wacha again."And really, it's just a creature trying to live its life and have fun and enjoy itself in the time it has without causing problems to anyone unless they bring problems to it. And that is a lifestyle I think we should all strive towards." The host finished as the monster was shown one last time hanging from its tail with a smile on its face even while fighting the demon/vampire hybrid.
"I'm glad this one doesn't cause too much trouble." Ruby said.
"I know, right? Imagine if we were the ones called out to deal with it." Velvet offered up the hypothetical scenario.
"I don't think I would have the heart to do that." Pyrrha said.
"I agree, Miss Nikos. Even the THOUGHT of having to harm or kill one of those amazing creatures weighs heavy on my soul." Glynda agreed.
"So, how-" Katana started, but before she could finish, the cinnamon trio quickly voiced their opinions.
"I LOVE IT!" They said.
"It's so cool, like how it glides like a flying squirrel, or how it makes itself look intimidating with its ears. And it's gross, but I still love how it shoots the water globs!" Ruby spoke rapidly, just barely slow enough to still be understood.
"And even it's name is cute and funny. Kecha Wacha." Velvet said, giggling a bit. "See? Just saying it makes me giggle." Velvet agreed.
"Yes. And I love how it's friendly and curious. We see so many monsters that are insanely vicious, so it's nice to remember there ARE some sweet ones out there." Pyrrha agreed.
"And don't forget how cute its big, old eyes are! And even just its shape, looking like a lemur. Lemurs are adorable and so is this guy." Summer said, almost as excited as her daughter.
"And, while it is still strange to see on a primate, the trunk is quite adorable as well." Glynda said, just barely managing to keep herself from fangirling like the others.
"I wanna train one to be like a dancing monkey in the circus!" Nora said.
And then, the others voiced their opinion, with Blake and Ilia enjoying how it enjoyed swinging around and having fun, similar to a certain Monkey Faunus friend of theirs. Cinder, Penny, Winter and Ironwood once again praised just how versatile the creature could be. Hazel and Adam appreciated how the beast turned basically flipped the switch to "serious" mode whenever it was pushed too far. And Roman, Jaune, Ren and Ozpin were on the opposite side of that coin, liking how carefree and relaxed the creature was for the most part. And, like the other animal lovers, Emerald just thought it was adorable.
Ruby then quickly zipped up to Katana, but the hostess raised her hand at this. "Yes, Ruby, Kecha Wacha is going to be put on Remnant." She assure the girl.
Ruby's eyes instantly lit up with stars at this, Velvet popping up beside her with a similar expression. "EEEEEEEEEEEEE!" The two members of the trio squealed in joy.
And they weren't the only ones who are excited. "That's going to be so much fun!" Nora said excitedly.
"Yeah! I'm gonna ride on one like an air surfboard like in the Kinship Attack!" Yang said.
"Make some room up there for me!" Neo declared.
"They'd be so much fun to play with Pyrrha said.
"I can just imagine swinging with it through the trees like Zantar!" Summer said dreamily.
"I'm gonna name mine Snorkel." Ruby said.
"Snorkel?" Cinder asked.
"Yeah. You know, because it's trunk its like a reverse snorkel, sucking up water instead of air." Ruby elaborated.
Everyone just shrugged, accepting the answer. "Fair enough. So, can I get back to my hunt, now? You know, before that Shagaru recovers and goes on a rampage?" Akasha asked.
"Oh, right. Sorry about that, Akasha. Best of luck." Katana said.
"Yeah! Slay, girl!" Tekko cheered, before the vampire girl was sent back where she came from.
With that done, everyone looked to Katana. "So, what's next? Is it another cutie like Kecha Wacha?" Pyrrha asked hopefully.
"Let's see..." Katana said, scrolling down Rage's playlist of lores. "Oh, jeez! We've really only got five left!" She said in surprise, before looking at the one right after Akura Vashimu. "Ooh, this is gonna be an interesting one. I hope you're all ready. Because another name for our next monster, Nefu Garumudo, is THE GOD OF DEATH." Katana declared, starting the next video.
[1] Some suggestions from qazse when I asked how the crew would react to being introduced to Akasha. I HAD meant introduced just conceptionally- kind of like these lores, but I liked his ideas too much.
