Luz and Amity were up bright and early. The ingredients needed for the potion were many and while some were easy, others would be a bit of a challenge. As the two finished their breakfast Luz decided to check the news. "Breaking News. Last night Schools across the boiling isles were broken into in an act that has left authorities baffled. In an interview with the principal of Hexside she said the break in occurred at midnight and it appears whoever the culprits are were very careful to cover their tracks. But what is
most surprising is not the level they went to cover their track but what was stolen. From what we have found along with discussions from with other schools what was stolen seems to be records of former students ranging from 5 to 10 years ago. When asked for comment, prime minister Raine Whispers said they have no information on the culprits but will coordinate with the schools to find those responsible. Network." Luz turned off the crystal ball. " I wonder what somebody would want with a bunch of old student records?" Luz said. " I don't know, but I'm sure Raine will handle it." Amity said as she opened the book. " So let's go over the ingredients: a vial of titans blood, 1 vial of blood from each parent, 1 fire bee, a trash slug egg , a giraffe's tooth, and a gryphon feather. Ok, what should we get 1st?" Amity said as Luz finished her coffee. " Let's start with the easiest stuff." Luz said. " Okay that would be either our blood
or the gryphon feather." Amity said, writing a list of each ingredient. " No reason for us to get our blood till we have the other ingredients so let's go for the gryphon feather and lucky for us we know someone who has one for a pet." Luz said, putting her cup in the sink. " So first stop, Viney and Skaras house. How do you wanna get there? Airship or staff." Amity said to which Luz pulled out of her pocket a good witch azura collectors coin. "Lets flip for it azura we take the airship, Hecate we use our staffs." Luz said as she flipped the coin. It spun in the air for a second or 2 before landing in Luz's hand Azura side up. "Airship it is then." Amity said as the two made their way to Skara and Viney's place…..
At Skara and Vineys
As the airship touched down in front of the house Skara was outside practicing on her harp. Skara and Viney began hanging out after joining willows flyer derby team. The two had become quick friends. However it was not till the collector took over the boiling isles that their friendship blossomed into a true romance. By the time Luz defeated Belos the two were heads over heels for each other. It wasn't long after graduating Hexside that the two got married. As they approached the Bard she greeted them" Amity
Luz how are you?." Skara said, giving the two a big hug. "Hey Skara, it's good to see you." Amity said. " How is everything with you and Viney?" Luz asked. "Oh it's wonderful. Now that the school year is over we are gonna take a trip to the left knee for some well deserved rest and relaxation." Skara said as she put away her harp. "I hear you as much as I enjoy teaching. Having some time away to relax is key." Luz said . " So what brings you two here anyway?" Skara said. " Well we need to ask Viney for
something, where is she? Amity said." Right now she is in the back feeding puddles." Skara said as she led the two out back to a shed where Viney was struggling to feed an aging Puddles. "Come on Puddles , eat for mama." The witch said as the aging gryphon refused. "Come on, eat your meal and I'll get your fav treat." Viney said and the gryphon began to eat its food. "Oh hi Luz and Amity what brings you up here." Viney asked, wiping her clothes off of any dust. " Well it's best we sit down and discuss this." Amity said. "Alright then let's head in and talk over some apple blood." Skara said as the four made their way into the house….
A few minutes and glasses of apple blood later…
"So let me get this straight. You got a recipe for a pregnancy potion from willows dads and one of the ingredients is a gryphon's feather so you came to ask for one." Viney said before taking a sip of apple blood. " Yes you are the only witches we know with a pet gryphon so we came to you. So can we have one?" Luz asked to which Viney and
Skara looked at each other and began to laugh. " Of course you can have one. After all you two have done for us and the isles it's the least we can do." Viney said as she put down her glass of apple blood. "Great, do you have any loose feathers laying around?" Luz said as she put down her cup. " Unfortunately, no. Puddles hasn't lost any recently. You are gonna have to yank one yourself." Viney said as she held her wife's hand.
Luz and Amity looked at each other. "Can't you help us in any way?" Amity asked. Skara and Viney looked at each other whispering to each other before Skara said." Well I can put Puddles to sleep with a bard spell,but we want something in return." The young witches looked at each other wondering what their friends could want. "Okay what do you want?" Luz said. " Isn't it obvious? We would like some of that potion as well." Viney said, catching Luz and Amity by surprise. " That's all for sure no problem." Amity said as the four headed outside to gather the feather….
Later…
It was quick and easy. A simple few notes from Skaras harp and Puddles was fast asleep. At that point all it took was a simple tug by Luz and the feather was theirs. Luz and Amity were about to leave in their airship when Skara said" What do you think they want with our old records?" Skara said, which caught Luz and Amity off guard. "What?" Amity said. "You know the records stolen from the schools. They would include the years we went there." Skara said. "I honestly don't know." Luz said. "Maybe they are
gonna spill all the times we made out in the school's hidden passageways." Viney joked, causing Skara to shout "Hey i thought we agreed that was to stay secret." Viney looking at her wife apologized. "Sorry honey slipped my mind won't happen again." Skara looked at her wife and said" It better not." Seeing the two witches were about to get into a discussion, Luz and Amity flew off on their airship.
