Greenland III
Time passed after the wipeout of the Wehrmacht garrison radio and radar base that was once Bluie West Seven. completing their first objective, the Night Hunters moved on to their second objective of Simiutaq: formally Bluie West Three, now used by the Wehrmacht to send early warnings to surrounding islands, Iceland, and Kriegsmarine fleet of any American naval and American aerial activity. Bluie West Three wasn't much of a problem to wipe out, unlike the previous station, as the only presence of Wehrmacht personnel is a few men of the Abwehr relaying information of coordinates to other captured stations in and around Greenland. Yet their tenacity lay the same, fighting to the last when the Night Hunters arrived. Despite their fighting spirit, the few stationed were no match to the Night Hunters.
As the Night Hunters continue onto the last leg of their mission, Mine uses her Imperial Arms' scope and spots two approaching Kriegsmarine E-Boat S-100 who are sent on to patrol the waters in between Narsaq and Bluie West Three, after having received word about a potential attack. The craft slows down its speed to not initiate a chase.
"~Achtung, Achtung! Halt und identifizieren Sie selbst!~" (Attention, attention! Stop and identify yourself!) One of the intercepting Kriegsmarine vessels connects to the radio frequency of the Night Hunters' commandeered ship. Wave grabs Tatsumi's attention.
"Hey, don't you know German?" Wave asks, passing him the microphone that connects to the radio.
"Of course, but I don't know the identification number of this boat!" Tatsumi objects to the request.
"No need." Mine exclaimed as she walks to the front of the ship, setting up her sniping position. Using the long barrel attachment for her Imperial Arms, she takes aim at the closest Kriegsmarine E-Boat S-100. She charges Pumpkin up and fires a single shot at its exposed torpedo, destroying the enemy vessel and heavily wounding its crew. The second E-Boat begins to open fire with its 30mm AA gun. Wave accelerates the boat to avoid the incoming fire causing Mine to throw off her aim. "Keep the boa still dammit!" Mine cried out. Stabilizing once more, she aims at the pursuing E-Boat. The incoming fire allows her to build up enough energy to destroy the pursuing E-boat, freeing them from being destroyed. "Is everyone alright?" Mine asked.
"Yup, we're good." Tatsumi responded, holding onto a railing to stabilize his balance as Wave stabilizes the boat and Anderson continued giving navigation to Wave to reach their third objective, Bluie West One.
Bluie West One
The night is late with only the stars and the moon providing a clear natural source of light providing some visibility. The base has a company size garrison of 150 Heer soldiers of the Wehrmacht guarding it at all times with a smaller detachment of Luftwaffe pilots piloting ME 1110s, with upgraded engine capabilities that allow one to fly at Mach 1.4, and a Fokker F27 Friendship troopship variant.
In the officer's banquet hall sits a Luftwaffe Major enjoying a late-night snack past three in the morning, wearing his pilot . He knows in a few hours he'll have to start conducting aerial operations soon as American forces begin to slowly close into Greenland. The late night coupled with the scenery of Greenland and crashing icy waves makes him remember a tragic poem that he and his compatriots of the Kriegsmarine have sung days prior, but couldn't remember the poem's name. All he remember was how those in the waves desire to greet their homeland once more and how life was sweet. As he attempts to hum, the lights turn off in the mess hall that he's in.
"Was!" (What) He reacts, standing up and grabbing hold of his pistol holster, readying to draw his Walther P-38. As he looks around he feels a sharp cold steel being pressed firmly on his neck. His body freezes in fear and refuses to move.
"Pilot?" Akame, having snuck up behind, asks the Luftwaffe Major. "Answer my question. Are you a pilot? Yes or no?" Akame asks once more. Seeing the disadvantaged state he's in, the Luftwaffe Major abates and complies with Akame's question.
"Ja, ich bin ein Pilot," (Yes, I'm a pilot) The Luftwaffe Major answers Akame's question with the slightest bit of hesitation, sensing a sense of dread coming from the blade itself. "Bitte, töte mich nicht." (Please, don't kill me) The Luftwaffe pleaded.
"Good, you'll be flying for us. Understand?" Akame poses her proposition. "If you make any cry for help, I won't hesitate to cut you down, understand?"
"Jawhol." Having no other choice, the Luftwaffe Major accepts. Akame carefully pulls the blade back from the Luftwaffe Major's neck and forces him to walk. The two begin to walk down the hall to leave the building. As Akame is escorting the Luftwaffe Major, Kurome whispers.
"Big-sis," Kurome whispers for Akame. "You found a pilot, have you?" Kurome asked, holding herself a second pilot but even younger than the Luftwaffe Major. His hands are raised above his head as he looks forward in fear.
"Correct. And what of the other pilots?" Akame asked. Kurome chuckled for a second.
"My German puppets made sure the guards and pilots in our path are eliminated." Kurome responded simply.
"Major, helfen Sie mir." (Major. help me) The Luftwaffe Leutnant pleads to his Major, having already fear in his eyes by the Imperial Arms.
"Leider nicht." (Unfortunatly no) The Luftwaffe Major answers to the Leutnant. "Sei leise, Leutnant. Wir werden lebend herauskommen. Gerade sei leise." (Stay quiet, lieutenant. We'll get out of here alive. Just stay quiet.) The Luftwaffe Major continues to try and calm down the Leutnant.
"Keep moving," Kurome orders the Leutnant. "If you dare try to say a word, I will turn you into a puppet." Kurome continued. Akame and Kurome leave the building with their hostages with little chance of being caught by patroling Wehrmacht Heer guards, as the Night Hunters have eliminated many of them in and near the air hanger, including Kurome's German puppets following behind them in order.
The four quickly reach the air hanger where the rest of the Night Hunters are waiting by the Fokker F 27 Friendship troopship. The military variant used by both its originating Reichskommissariat Niederlande and used by the Greater Germanic Reich. Like the other troop transports its space is open enough to transport a platoon of soldiers.
"Girls, over here!" Anderson calls out to Akame and Kurome, to bring their pilots over. Wave and Tatsumi are both seen bringing in the passenger stairs, lining up with the tail end of the plane.
"Where's Pink Flamingo and Green Goblin, captain?" Akame asked.
"They're scouting ahead and are taking down several of the fighter Messerschmitts so that they won't hunt us down as we take lift." Anderson answers Akame's question. Wave and Tatsumi both manage to open the tail end of the door.
"Door's open, shouldn't we wait for Mine and Lubbock, Captain?" Tatsumi calls out to Anderson.
"They'll come once the plane begins to leave," Anderson responded. "Now, everyone get in the plane and has the pilots start it up, me and Atlantis will open the hanger doors," Anderson orders the group to enter the plane and he and Wave both open the air hanger doors. The two rush over to the hanger door to open it. As they open the doors, the pilots are seated in their seats, with Tatsumi assuring the two of their safety. Knowing that only threatening them would end only in disaster for all, with the pilots rather taking their own lives with every one of the Reich's enemies on board. Tatsumi's alternative is to incentivize the men to start up the plane and take off. With the air hanger doors open it's clear for take off. The Fokker F27's engine start-up as Atlantis and Wave quickly run over to the plane, the engines begin to get louder and the propellers of the Fokker begin to catch speed. In the cockpit, the Leutnant is worried about being threatened with his life, even flying a two-engine plane over that of a single jet aircraft.
"You got the plane to start, good going." Anderson thanks the pilots. "Now start rolling." He orders the two.
"But wait, what about Mine and Lubbock?" Tatsumi asks. As Tatsumi asks his question, Mine and Lubbock can be seen entering through the open hanger doors.
"Wait, don't leave us!" Mine cries out as she rushes over to enter the Fokker F 27. The two final members of the Night Hunters finally enter the aircraft, in order to escape.
"Mine, Lubbock, where'd you two go?" Tatsumi asks as the two assassins and saboteurs both get situated in the Fokker F27.
"We had to incapacitate the other planes and AA guns." Mine responded.
"Well, I'm glad you two are safe." Tatsumi responded and ensured Mine's safety. Anderson rushed over to the tail end and kicks the tail ladder out of the way and closed its door. The Fokker F 27 begins to roll outside of the air hanger but before they could fully make it to the runway, an alarm goes off throughout the facility, notifying the presence of intruders all throughout the facility.
"An alarm? You're kidding," Anderson grumbles. He turns over to Mine. "Pink, I need you over here to use provide covering fire. Necromantress, use your dolls to draw fire away from us. Because we ain't out of the woods yet." Anderson orders both Mine and Kurome to use their Imperial Arms. Quickly the plane reaches the runway and prepares to take off but a couple of Wehrmacht trucks block the path. Now being alerted, the stationed garrison of Wehrmacht soldiers runs to the runway and begins to open fire upon the plane. Mine on the tail end opens the tail door once more and begins to open fire, with each shot becoming more powerful than the last. Kurome summons all eight of her puppets to draw fire away from the plane, proving well in a firefight. The Fokker slowly picks up its speed but noticed that the Wehrmacht troops who parked the trucks are using it to prevent the plane from ever fully taking off. Seeing the prospect of a crash, Mine turns to Lubbock.
"Lubbock, wrap your Imperial Arms around my waist. I'll try to clear out the path for us." Mine gives orders to Lubbock who obliges her request. Risking her life to save the others. "Incursitor, hold onto my arm just as I'm looking out!" Mine calls out to Tatsumi to grab hold of her arm just as she looks out of the rear entrance steadying her sights at the trucks just before the Fokker.
"Are you crazy Mine!" Tatsumi criticizes Mine's actions, but he nonetheless does as told as her Imperial Arms is able to destroy all the trucks that block the path, helping Mine to lay over half of her body out just as Lubbock and Tatsumi make sure she doesn't fall off. Bullets fly and whizz past her, keeping focus, Mine collects as much energy as she could, more than enough to destroy the trucks.
"Just enough danger to get this shot." Mine's focus narrows, as time slows down to align a perfect shot. In spite of the bullets and shrapnel flying past her by the Wehrmacht garrison, she remains nonetheless focused. As the plane continues to pick up speed, Mine fires a single concentrated shot from Pumpkin that destroys the blockade, causing a chain explosion that clears the runway and allows the Fokker to take off. Proud of her action, Mine is then pulled back in by Tatsumi and Lubbock. Mine takes a breather just as she removes any shrapnel and dirt off her clothes and jacket. The cuts were minor as some of the barely grazed her. Despite such a suicidal effort, the Fokker has enough runway to take off and fly, narrowly avoiding the destroyed trucks. Bullets continue to fly in the air as the Fokker continues to fly higher and higher in the sky. AA canons couldn't take aim as their crews were taken out by Kurome's puppets, and then the remaining Wehrmacht garrison are left surprised and stunned by the whole event. The Fokker flies over the hills and grass of Greenland, slowly leveling off at 4,500 feet above sea level as the cabin suffered holes that were made by the bullet shots. The Fokker F 27 Friendship continues to fly in the night sky southwestwards as Anderson orders Tatsumi to give directions to the pilots. Anderson also has Wave help navigate the plane with whatever maps of the area and the North Atlantic Sea they were able to take.
"Thanks, you guys." Mine thanks Lubbock and Tatsumi, having narrowly survived such a lucky shot by her Imperial Arms.
"That was pretty suicidal what you did, Mine," Tatsumi tells Mine, sitting beside her. She turns to face Tatsumi. "But I'm glad you're still safe.
"Hm. You can still call me a badass sniper genio-OW! What was that for?!" Mine cries out as Tatsumi flicked her forehead, a sort of punishment for almost throwing her life away and taking a gamble with what was a suicidal action.
"What you did was suicide! What if you died "again"?!" Tatsumi criticizes Mine's near-suicidal actions. Despite a mild hostile action against Mine, Tatsumi cares for Mine still not wanting to see her dying at the expense of the group nor at his expense.
"You know if I didn't clear those trucks then we wouldn't have lifted off!" Mine retorts.
"Could've let me done it!" Tatsumi exclaims back, initiating an argument between the two.
"If you went out instead then you would've been caught. And what would happen if you were left behind?" Mine continued. Hearing this Tatsumi couldn't find a way to respond back, he knows that if he had jumped out then the possibility of capture and repatriation is possible. Including being sent back to Esdeath's side.
"Would you two stop fighting," Kurome exclaimed, breathing heavily after over-exerting herself in using and controlling her puppets' actions to draw oncoming fire away from the Fokker F27 to ensure that the group has a better chance to take off. Hearing this command from a superior, the two stop their bickering. "Just be lucky that we all managed to get out in one piece." Kurome continued as she sheathes Yatsafusa. The Night Hunters continue to fly off in their moderately shot plane, they managed to run into the fortune of not being chased by enemy ME 1110s or enemy 40 mm Bofors guns. Yet, dangers still lie ahead for the group as they continue to make their return.
As Kurome sheathed her sword, whatever puppets she had deployed disappeared like ghosts, confusing the Wehrmacht garrison on what they were shooting at.
Within Kurome's Imperial Arms: Yatsafusa, stands what is reminiscent of a prison and its lobby with four cells facing parallel to each other, a wall on the far end and the other end two steel doors, a fifteen-tall roof with lighting, and a floor with two sets of circular tables with four stools each. The pocket dimension of Yatsafusa is one outside of space and time. Only eight puppets could inhabit at a time and were only directly cut down by Kurome. Of the eight: two Allgemeine SS soldiers of officer and enlisted ranks and three Heer soldiers clamor on the two steel doors crying and clamoring to be let out of a hell they did not ask for.
"Lassen wir verlassen bitte LOS! Ich will raus! Ich will RAUS! Ich will hier nicht SEIN! Mutter hilft mir bitte aus dieses Wahnsinns!" (Let us leave, please! I want out! I want out! I don't want to be HERE! Mother please help me out of this madness!) The five Germans, killed by Kurome as they defended their positions in Greenland, panic and clamor as they each express a desire for escape. But their calls are not heard by its user, except for three. Once killed, three had already known of their fates that they could be stuck inside and being used only as puppets by Kurome.
"Just when are they going to stop crying?!" Doya, one of eight of Kurome's puppets and one of two from her old world, exclaimed. She know this all too well since March when the first German soldiers appeared inside of Yatsafusa. She turns to the one German SS soldier, of the 9th SS Panzergrenadier Eis Division, who is sitting on the floor with his back towards the wall and adjacent to Doya's right. Observing the other five Heer and Allgemeine SS soldiers clamoring for a release that will most likely never come from the inside. "What are they saying Mr. Scharführer? You know their tongue, don't you?
"Ja, but I still have little interest in speaking with you after shooting me in Neu York," SS-Scharführer Heinkel Johannes Rotehann responded despondently.
"You're still on the fence about it? I thought you would've forgotten by now, it's been about a month now." Doya asks.
"How could I? It was trauma, Fräulein," Heinkel responded, seeing the other five German puppets making a total fool of themselves in trying to get out of their prison. "Doch, if you care for learning German, dann it would be better wenn the area is calmer. Und it's Herr or SS-Scharführer Rotenhann, understand?" Heinkel responded to Doya's question but avoided giving a clear response. Giving up, one of the German Allgemeine SS turns to see Heinkel sitting beside Doya, an indication of fraternization with the enemy.
"DU!" (You!) An officer of the Allgemeine SS security group stationed in Greenland, of the Hauptsturmführer rank and a political officer, calls out Heinkel. "Was in Namen des Führers tust du?" (What in the Führer's name are you doing?) "Komm und hilf uns, diese Türen zu öffnen. Das es ist dein Befhel. Jetzt!" (Come and help us open these doors. That is your order. Now!) The Hauptsturmführer orders Heinkel. Heinkel just simply looks at him with disdain at the Hauptsturmführer's demands.
"Nein." (No) Heinkel simply declined the order. Annoyed by the fact that a soldier of the German Waffen-SS, one of NCO rank, is fraternizing with the enemy and isn't helping his fellow Germans. "Und es ist Sie, nicht du." (and it's you, not thou) Heinkel corrects how the Hauptsturmführer is to address him, insisting to use a more formal pronoun to refer to himself, elevating the two to be equals.
"Was war das?!" (What was that?!) The Hauptsturmführer responded with insult in his tone. The Hauptsturmführer glances at Heinkel's cuff title on his left wrist sleeve. "Eis Divison. Tch." The Hauptsturmführer scoffs at Heinkel.
"Du hast mich gehört, na?" (You heard me, well?) Heinkel continues, utilizing the same informal pronoun as what the Hauptsturmführer called him before in a manner that elevates himself over the Hauptsturmführer. Having fed up with Heinkel's insolence the Hauptsturmführer turns and takes a few steps forward, he stops.
"Du kennst, SS-Scharführer. Was machst du nun: du sprichst mit der Amerikanerin, du kämpfst gegen das Vaterland und SS, Insubordination, und Respektlosigkeit gegenüber einem Offizier der SS. Alle diesen Gründe sind," (You know, SS-Scharführer. What you're doing now, speaking with that American, you fighting against the Fatherland and the SS, insubordination, and disrespecting towards an officer of the SS. All these are reasons,) The Hauptsturmführer reaches for his Walther pistol, "Zu hinrichtst du Landesverräter!" (To execute you traitor of the nation!) The Hauptsturmführer turns about-face, drawing his pistol and aims it at Heinkel who raises his Stg 58 against the Hauptsturmführer with Doya drawing one of her revolvers in reaction to the Hauptsturmführer, aiming at the officer's head. The Hauptsturmführer glances over at Doya with a hostile look on his face. "Und was werden Sie tun, Hure? Sie sehen wie eine amerikanische oder jüdische Hure aus. Genau dieselben, die von unserer großen SS der NSDP ausgerottet wurden!" (And what will you do, harlot? You look like an american or jewish harlot. The very same who've been eliminated by our great SS of the NSDP!) The Hauptsturmführer continues. Interrogating the two with steps taken like that of an inquistor and a pilitcal officer. Heinkel's face looks with disdain as Doya's is with confusion.
"Just what did you say to me, German?" Doya asked with agitation and hostility in her voice.
The Hauptsturmführer glances back at Heinke, not carrying for Doya nor Heinkel pointing their weapons at him, knowing that the subordinates behind him will follow his command. "Dein Soldbuch, nimm aus Feigling und leg dein Gewehr nieder!" (Your paybook, take it out coward, and lay down your rifle.)
"Nein, du erst" (You first) Heinkel responded. "Also, wir haben ein Mexikaner Pattsituation. Zwei gegen Eins, Hauptsturmfürer. Die anderen Soldatenn werden machen nichts." (So, we have a Mexican standoff. Two against one, Hauptsturmfürer. The other soldiers will do nothing.)
"Will the three of you calm yourselves," Natala, the first puppet of Kurome and her childhood friend, orders all three of them with an authoritative voice. "This is no place for a shoot-out. So lower your weapons." He continues, walking up to the three but keeping a good ten-meter distance from them, repeating once more. Heinkel glances at Natala's position while keeping his rifle trained at the Hauptsturmfürer's head.
"It is good to see you, Herr Natala. I thought a grenade killed you." Heinkel calls out to Natala, switching over to English. He glaces back to the Hauptsturmfürer. "Sie haben ihm gehört. Lassen wir unseren Waffen fallen." (You head him. Let us drop our weapons)
"Don't make me repeat myself. Doya, Rotehann, and you SS officer are all to lower your weapons this instant." Natala orders once more, raising and bringing down his Shingu: Trisula with the blade pointing up, removing his mask and placing it on his side. Doya and Heinkel both lower their weapons as ordered by Natala with the Hauptsturmfürer turning to Natala's direction and lowering his pistol. He turns and walks in Natala's direction.
"Und who are you giving orders to an officer of the SS?!" The Hauptsturmfürer calls out Natala with his pistol still in hand, utilizing what amount of English he learned prior to his deployment westward. "An American too!" He continues. Natala brings down his Trisula and raises it at the approaching Hauptsturmfürer, keeping him at spear length. Raising Trisula with one hand with his right half facing the Hauptsturmfürer and the rest of the spear behind his back. "Tch, and what will you do with a spear, poke me to death!"
"Put your pistol away, SS officer." Natala commands the Hauptsturmfürer. The Hauptsturmfürer sneers at Natala.
"I will not follow an order from an American Schweinhund." The Hauptsturmfürer raises his pistol to Natala's head. "As a political officer of the SS, everyone here will be under my command. I will not take orders from you, that gun-wielding schlampe, or that Miststück Volksverräter, or that little girl sow who controls you!" (slut, bastard people traitor) The Hauptsturmfürer insults reach all three persons, more so on Heinkel for being called a traitor of the people. "For me, I will be ordering my men and with my leadership, we all leave here! And you three will be left here to rot!" The Hauptsturmführer continues. "You do not understand the power of the SS. We are powerful than you think! We have the manpower and technology. Everything, at our disposal! Besten des Deutschlands, von Europa, und der ganzen Welt. Something you and your nation will never be." (Best of Germany, of Europe, and of the whole world) The Hauptsturmfürer tries to intimidate Natala, standing an inch taller than Natala. The Hauptsturmfürer attempts to utilize his bearing against the assassin but sees that it has not worked nor fazed him. The two stare at each other for a moment with Natala glancing behind the Hauptsturmfürer, seeing Heinkel standing several feet behind the Hauptsturmfürer after having conversed with the other Germans.
"Then you should watch how you deal with yourself. This hubris and pride of yours will be your downfall. Just because you're part of a powerful institution doesn't exactly mean being the best in the world. Like me with the Empire, you allowed the SS to corrupt you. Soon, even your SS organization will crumble. Which is why for now, I'll have to only tell you to be careful what you say for you will not have any allies." Natala tells the Hauptsturmfürer, Natala brings down Trisula and stands out of the way.
"Tch, und was das bedeutet?" (And what does that mean?) The Hauptsturmfürer responded. A loud cry is made by Heinkel who charges at the Hauptsturmfürer. He has little time to readjust his aim but Heinkel closes the gap and manages to strike down Hauptsturmfürer with the butt end of his Stg 58 to the face. The Hauptsturmfürer collapses back by the strike.
"Huh, good job Rotehann. Though it's rare to see you standing up to an officer of the same organization you're in." Natala complements Heinkel's actions but they fall on deaf ears as Heinkel walks over to the Hauptsturmfürer, slinging the Stg 58 behind his back. Heinkel turns to Natala.
"Halt die Klappe und lass mich bei ihm! Ich möchte ein paar Worte zu ihm sagen!" (Shut up and leave me with him! I would like to say a few words to him!) Heinkel kneels down and grabs the Hauptsturmfürer by his collar tabs. "Volks und Landesverräter mein Aarsch! Hier bin ich überlegen!" (People and country traitor my ass! Here, I am superior!) Berating him for the accusations. He tosses the Hauptsturmfürer back down. "Tch, alles, du gesagt hast, ist Quatsch!" (Tch, everything you've said is nonsense) Heinkel says aloud as he leaves the incapacitated Hauptsturmfürer. Heinkel turns to the other four Germans. "Und ihr vier, halt den Mund und Mann stehen! Ihr seid deutschen Soldaten, also verhaltet ihr auch so!" (And you four, shut up and man up! You are German soldiers, so act like it!) Heinkel tells the other four German soldiers who were previously hounding to be released.
The Fokker F27 levels off at 10,000 feet, as they passed over the Greenland area. The radios have gone silent to keep the plane's whereabouts hidden from the Luftwaffe who could utilize it to find their position. Wave and Anderson work to navigate their way back, applying their knowledge of sea and aerial charts they were to take, but even then it could only be a guess if they would land near American-friendly land or near an aircraft carrier group. Akame tended to her sister who used much of her strength using her puppets, but still slowly recovering after having recovered all eight of her puppets. Tatsumi does the same after discovering some bleeding due to shrapnel passing by her.
"Not too tight," Mine tells Tatsumi as he continues to wrap Mine's arm, suffering a deep cut caused by a stray bullet. "Didn't Esdeath teach you how to do basic first-aid?" Mine asks a rhetorical question, which Tatsumi scoffs at.
"Not really no. All that she ever taught me was to not run away from her or being frozen in ice. But this is a first." Tatsumi responded, looking up at Mine.
"Mine, let him wrap the bandage tightly. So that bacteria won't infect it and you won't bleed out. Once we return you'll be checked at. What you've taken was a massive risk and this is the result." Akame tells Mine, letting Tatsumi continue bandaging Mine. Finally putting on the last layers where the bleeding stopped.
"I don't need a lecture right now Akame. Thanks to me, we managed to take off without a hitch." Mine boasts to Akame of her accomplishment of helping the group to escape. Akame then stands up and walks over and sits by Tatsumi's side.
"I'm glad everything went accordingly." Akame comments.
"Is that so?" Tatsumi responded.
"Yes. Though right now what we do small scale. If things go accordingly, then we might have a chance to stand against Esdeath once more." Akame tells Tatsumi. But her response confuses Tatsumi, he wonders what did Akame mean by once more. But it brings a sliver of hope to the fact that Esdeath can be killed.
"Hm. Perhaps once we get back, let's go out for drinks so that we can catch up." Tatsumi proposes an idea to both Akame and Mine. A way for the three of them to catch up on what they've done previously before reuniting with one another. Hearing the offer, Mine turns to Tatsumi.
"Never thought you'd be inviting us out for drinks. So sure, Tatsumi." Mine accepts Tatsumi's proposal.
"I'll join then." Akame accepts Tatsumi's idea as well. Tatsumi smiles at their answers.
On the airfield, a Wehrmacht Heer Oberstleutnant looks into the dark sky and sees that the escaping Fokker F27 has already passed the range of AA guns and surface-to-air missiles, even being reported that the ME 1110s are disabled and its pilots are dead. Even the company officer of the Luftwaffe was captured by the Night Hunters. He continues to look through his binoculars as the Wehrmacht Heer soldiers continue to clean up the chaos caused by the Night Hunters. An Oberleutnant rushes up to the Heer Oberstleutnant.
"Sir, the ME 1110 pilots are killed and the Luftwaffe Major is nowhere to be found. I suspect he must've been captured and used to pilot the stolen Fokker," The Oberleutnant reports. "What are your orders? Should we report this to the OKW?" He asked. The Major brings down his binoculars and gives off a heavy sigh. He turns to the Oberstleutnant.
"Contact the nearest carriers. Tell them to scramble a squadron of planes to track down and shoot down the escaped Fokker F27. From what I can see, those bastards must've gone southwest. Calculate what path they've taken and send the information. Understand?" The Oberstleutnant asked.
"Yes, Oberstleutnant!" The Onerleutnant salutes and runs off to the central communications of the base to contact the nearest carriers to send a plane squadron and intercept the stolen Fokker F27.
"I don't want to end my career with this incident. Not only this, Stations Seven and Three aren't responding. Could they be the same ones who attacked us just now?" The Oberstleutnant contemplates as he hadn't received any reports at all from the stations of Bluie West Seven and Three, including the Kriegsmarine squad detachment that was sent to patrol the waters of Bluie West Three after receiving reports of an attack on Bluie West Seven.
Off the coast of southeast Greenland, on the KMS. Raeder and the KMS. Holtzendorff of the Europa Class of German aircraft carriers, three squads of three ME 1110 of the Seeflieger corps take off from their carriers, taking off into the dark sky. Reaching ten thousand feet above sea level. Squad One is tasked westward, squad two heads southwest, and squad three is sent southwards to intercept and shoot down the escaped Fokker. The ME 1110 pilots take off from their carriers to seek and destroy the escaped Fokker, only being told what to look out for and to avoid enemy fighters.
