Yeah, Luke challenging Bacchus to a drinking contest was an idea that I came up with because I thought it would be funny, and I think it turned out pretty well. Yeah, Natsu and Lisanna is one of my favorite pairings in Fairy Tail, and having little interactions like these between them is something I always enjoy.

Another day came, and the next day of the Grand Magic Games was about to start. While the games were about to start, Yukino was walking around Crocus and learned from a number of passing individuals about the incident with Sabertooth. She was left to wonder if Natsu was the one responsible for it, and she looked up at the Domus Flau colosseum and smiled.

The third day of the Grand Magic Games was about to start.

"Good morning ladies and gentlemen, and let me welcome all of you to the third day of the Grand Magic Games! That puts us at the halfway point, and one can't help but wonder how we're going to top the dramatic fights and eye candy we've been seeing over the course of the past two days. I personally will be on my best behavior for today's guest, from the Magic Council itself it's Mr Lahar."

"Thank you, I'm grateful to be here."

"As the chief martial of the Custody Enforcement Unit you're the one responsible for catching the bad guys, isn't that right?"

"Yes indeed it is, and let me remind any would be cheaters that I'm watching you like a metaphorical hawk."

"Yep you got that right folks, this one here has eyes in the back of his head and he never rests either, no funny business from any of you. Yeah that's right, I made a funny. Go ahead and eat your heart out Master Splinter."

Meanwhile, as the games were getting underway, Doranbolt was bemoaning about his current situation as he made his way to the stands, having been basically dragged there by Lahar. It was on his way. It was then that he noticed Wendy, Romeo, Happy and Carla making their way to the colosseum, the lot of them fretting over the possibility of being late for the games.

"Alright then ladies and gentlemen, now I think the time has come for us to kick off the next day of the games with a game that's sure to be exciting, one that's definitely deserving of the name we've given it, one that we call PANDEMONIUM! As is the usual routine, we're going to have only one member from each team participate in this event, so please be sure to choose wisely for this one."

"Hang tight guys, I'm gonna take this one myself." Natsu was quick to volunteer "I'm still pretty fired up from what went down with Sabertooth last night."

"Not a fucking chance, you did the round yesterday!" Gray was quick to round on him "In case you didn't notice, you're not the only one who would love to get some sweet payback on those assclowns!"

"Yeah but this time I'm gonna be in my element!"

"We don't know that for sure, and that's why I'm going forward then." this was when Erza got everyone's attention "I'm certain that you would only end up complicating the matter even further if you were to compete. I don't suppose you have a problem with that?"

"...Nope, no problems whatsoever."

"Glad to hear it. No need to worry, I'll be sure to push our team ahead. You can all count on me right now."

"Alright then Erza, go and get us a win!" Lucy and Wendy were quick to cheer Erza on as she made her way towards the arena "You've got this one, go ahead and show us why Fairy Tail is the team to beat!"

"Believe me my friends, I intend to."

Meanwhile, with Fairy Tail Team B…

Hunched over slightly and still somewhat red in the face, Luke turned to the other members of his team "Alright so who's gonna go in for our team? If everyone's cool with it, I think I'm gonna go ahead and-"

"Yeah let me stop you right there lightweight." this was when Cana stepped forward "It doesn't take much more than looking at you to tell that you're still hungover from last night. There's no way you'd be able to last in any sort of event today."

"Oh come on, I've spent years training until my bones crack! I could get hit by a train going at full speed and still be able to fight!" he bolted upright, but then he ended up falling flat on his face almost immediately after "Ow."

"You take my point yet?"

"Just a little stumble, I can go ahead and-" and then he promptly puked into a conveniently placed nearby trash can "-still fight just fine."

"First question, where the fuck did you get that trash can?" asked Gajeel.

"Plot convenience."

"What?"

"I mean Bolt gave it to me just in case." Luke tried to stand up again, but then he ended up falling flat on his back "Ow."

"Yeah, I think you know pretty where I'm going with this." Cana promptly crouched down next to him "So are you gonna keep trying or can I head down there now?"

"No no I give, three strikes and I'm out and all that crap. Just make sure to be careful out there okay? The last thing I want is for you to push yourself too hard and get hurt."

"Come on, who do you think you're talking to? I've been training just as hard as you these past few months, I can handle anything the organizers throw at me." and on that note, she made her way down towards the arena.

"It's not the organizers I'm worried about." Luke spared a glance over at Raven Tail, and then at Sabertooth. Or rather he tried to, but ran into a problem "Hey could one of you guys prop me up against the railing? I can't exactly move right now."

Meanwhile, down in the arena…

After seeing Erza deciding to participate, Milliana volunteered to go in for Mermaid Heel and promptly made her way down to the arena "Sorry about this Erzy, but I'm gonna take you down in this one."

"Is that so?" Erza shot a smile in her direction, but then her face fell as she recalled their conversation from the night before 'She's never stopped hating Jellal, but I can't blame her for that. Unlike me, she's never learned the truth about why Jellal did the things he did. No I can't lose focus, this isn't the time to dwell on that. I'm not here for myself right now, I'm doing this for Fairy Tail.'

"First up representing the Mermaid Heel guild, we have Milliana!"

'She's the one going for Mermaid Heel, but who's going to be representing the other six guilds in this event?'

XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX

One by one the other guilds sent out their participants. Orga decided to go in for Sabertooth, having already called dibs on it the night before. Alexei sent Obra in for Raven Tail, but warned him not to draw any attention from the Magic Council. Other participants included Jura going in for Lamia Scale, Hibiki going in for Blue Pegasus, and Nobarly going in for Quatro Puppy.

XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX

"So you decided to go in for this one?"

Erza glanced over to see Cana making her way towards her "Unless you count Wendy, I'm the only member of my team that hasn't participated yet, so I thought it was only fair. What about you then? I would've thought that Luke would jump at the chance."

"You know perfectly well why he isn't." Cana rolled her eyes and let out a sigh "He's still hungover from everything that went down last night, he can barely even prop himself up against the railing as it is."

"I see. Well then we'll just have to work that much harder so that he can see our guild pull ahead of the others."

"No arguments here."

"And now all of the competitors for the Pandemonium event have been chosen! First up, as we've stated previously it's Milliana from Team Mermaid Heel. From Team Sabertooth we'll be having Orga Nanagear. From Team Lamia Scale we'll be having Jura Neekia. From Team Blue Pegasus we'll be having Hibiki Lates. From Team Raven Tail we'll be having a mystery man by the name of Obra. From Team Quatro Puppy we'll be having Nobarly! From Team Fairy Tail A we'll be having Erza Scarlet, and from Team Fairy Tail B we'll be having Cana Alberona! Let's be sure that we give all of them a big round of applause folks!" once the applauses died down, a magic circle appeared above the colosseum, and from that magic circle emerged a massive purple demonic looking castle.

"...Okay I definitely wasn't expecting that."

"Hang on a minute, I'll see what Archive brings up on it." Hibiki was quick to summon his Archive magic to try and find some answers.

'An evil looking upside down castle, that's a new one.'

Fortunately for all of them, Mato was quick to negate any need for that "Allow me to explain this to you. Before all of you stands with monsters, hence the name of the event, Pandemonium!"

"And I'm gonna go ahead and guess that we're going have to fight against these monsters?"

"Yep you guessed that right milady, we're talking 100 terrifying beasts are lurking within the walls of this castle! But you don't have to worry, there's no danger of them escaping and attacking the crowds, we learned that the hard way from the last time we used this thing."

"What?"

"What? Anyway they're magical projections that we created solely for the sake of using them in this game. These monsters have all ben classified by their degree of difficulty, and there are 5 classes ranking from D to S, lowest to highest, with D having the highest number of monsters and there only being one S-class monster. To give you all an example of what you're going to be up against, allow me to show you how strong a D class monster is, and keep in mind that they are the weakest." he summoned a projection of a D-class monster, which earned lots of screaming from the stands "The event of Pandemonium has been filled to the brim with these vile creatures and many more that put all of these to shame, and let me warn you now that 100 of these monsters await you!"

'The pumpkin guy said that these things are magic projections, but they wouldn't be using them in the games unless they can still deal enough damage to be taken seriously. I know I can take care of most of these on my own without too much difficulty, I did spent three months training until my bones crack after all, but how many? I'm guessing that the more monsters you kill the more points you score."

"I should warn you now that monsters of a higher class are twice as strong as the ones that come before them, so if you thought that D-class monster looked nasty to you then you're going to lose your mind when the S-class monster decides to rear its ugly head. To give my personal opinion, I'm not even sure that one of the Ten Wizard Saints would be able to beat one of those things on their own. You're all going to take turns in choosing the number of monsters that you wish to fight in each round, this is what we refer to as the right of challenge to the competitors."

"So then we get to make the choice for ourselved?"

"That is correct Miss Alberona. So for example, if you tell us that wish to fight against three monsters, and when you enter the castle you're going to find three of the monsters waiting inside for you. You're going to be entering it alone of course, and if you successfully vanquish those three creatures then you're going to be awarded with three points. The next competitor in the rotation will then choose a number out of the 97 that still remain in the castle, and then the process repeats itself. The event itself will come to an end when either all of the monsters have been killed, or when all of the participants competing in the event have completely run out of magic power, whichever ones comes first."

"So that means that there's some math involved in this?"

"To a certain degree at least, after the first round it's going to become a much more important factor when it comes to choosing your numbers. You would do very well to remember that not all of these monsters have been created equally. Whether you choose to test your skills against the likes of 5 monsters or only one, the types of monsters you fight against are going to be chosen completely at random."

'So that means that we're probably gonna have to strategize and avoid going up against some of the higher monsters in the castle. But then again they're being chosen completely at random, so the chances of being able to strategize effectively are.'

"Although the monsters with the higher ranked are of greater difficulty, points are determined only by the number of monsters that you're able to defeat. Once you enter the castle, you will not be allowed to leave the castle until you've succeeded in completing the challenge."

"Which raises the question, if you can't beat all of the monsters you choose to fight and end up getting knocked out inside the castle?"

"In that case you're going to keep all of the points you've accumulated in the previous rounds, but you're also going to be removed from the roster for the event, and no points will be rewarded if you end up beating less than the number you challenged that round."

'So the key is to be realistic about how capable you are in the long run, but if we only fight one monster each round then there's no chance of us being able to get ahead, so we'll also have to factor in how much magic power we can recover in between each turn we take. This event is a lot more complicated than it seems. The question is, how many will I be able to beat? My first thought on the matter would probably be about 20 or so, but there's a chance that the S-class monster will end up in that bunch, so I need to play this carefully.'

"Now then, in order for us to select the order that you're going to go in, I'd like everyone to please draw straw."

"Alrgith then." and so everyone proceeded to draw a straw from the box.

Erza frowned in thought as she stared at the straw she drew "So I'm going to be the first one to fight in this event."

"You got a lot better off in this one than I did, because chances are you're gonna get the most chances to fight, whereas I'm stuck all the way at the bottom."

"Perhaps. This is rather interesting, part of me had assumed that victory depended almost entirely on the luck of the draw."

"It's a great deal more than that." Mato told her "You have to consider pacing, the strength levels of your opponent, the possibility of getting a really nasty monster no matter how many you actually choose, the list goes on and on. It actually does turn out to be quite the complicated game if you actually stop and think about it."

"No it's quite fine, in fact this is no longer even worth calling a game."

"Come again?"

"Inside this castle wait 100 monsters to be defeated, and as such I choose to challenge all of them at once." this left many of those present pretty much dumbstruck.

"...Say what now?! I mean you don't seriously intend to challenge all 100 of the monsters at once do you? This event was one that we designed to be completed by multiple wizards."

"That doesn't matter to me, I'm more than capable of finishing this on my own." and so on that note, Erza promptly made her way inside the castle.

"Okay, so… this is happening now apparently. We never anticipated

It didn't take long before Erza made her way into the main room of the castle, her will strong and her resolve never wavering "I am Erza Scarlet and I represent Fairy Tail's Team A in the Grand Magic Games. I will face 100 opponents for my first turn." this declaration prompted multiple groups of monsters to appear before her in an instant 'According to that chart that the Great Pumpkin showed me there are 50 D-class monsters, 30 C-class monsters, 15 B-class monsters, 4 A-class monsters and only one S-class monster, and from what I can tell they're categorized by color, so that way I should be able to tell them apart. Well that's all I need to know for the moment, I suppose it's time for me to get to work. Requip!" with a flash, Erza promptly requipped into her Heaven's Wheel armor "Heaven's Wheel: Blumenblatt!" with multiple waves of her hands she sent forward a large number of swords, ripping through a large number of monsters.

"Holy crap this is absolutely incredible, Erza Scarlet hasn't wasted a single second and attacks with full force in an instant, and that one move is all it takes before it starts raining destruction and the number of D-class monsters is nearly cut in half, dropping from 50 to 33!"

XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX

While many were left surprised by Erza's choice to take on all 100 monsters and her subsequent victory over nearly half of the D-rank monsters in one move, Mavis explained to Romeo that what Erza was doing was using an attack with multiple swords not only to weed out some of the weaker monsters at first, but also to learn the response, attack and defense capabilities that every monster possessed.

XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX

Meanwhile, inside the castle…

"Requip! Moon FLASH!" with a series of flashes, Erza didn't miss a beat as she requipped from her Heaven's Wheel armor to her Black Wing armor and unleashed her Moon Flash technique, which allowed her to rip through the last of the D-rank monsters with ease, only to be hit from behind with a fireball by a C-rank monster and engulfed in a small explosion. When the smoke cleared, she was revealed to have requipped into her Flame Empress armor, as well as having her Crystal Sword in hand 'With this armor and this weapon in hand, not only am I almost invulnerable to flame attacks, but the water properties within the Crystal Sword allow me to counter them as well. Ocean Slash!" with her Crystal Sword in hand, she unleashed a swift water slash that ripped through a number of C-rank monsters with ease.

"Woah mama, now we've seen five C-class monsters go down in a matter of seconds, and with a single hit I might add!"

"And I'm not done yet!" Erza wasted no time in summoning a flame sword in her free hand and quickly went to work, resulting in a series of explosions 'Adding in my flame sword in addition to the crystal sword does make my attacks more effective, but it's not stopping me from taking damage from the explosions.'

This was when a blue monster appeared before her and let out a roar before unleashing a blast of magic energy.

"Are you the S-class monster? No I would suppose not, it's too soon. REQUP!" Erza then went on to Requip into her Sea Empress armor and summon a lightning spear, but she was sent crashing into a wall by a counterattack. Fortunately this didn't stop her as she quickly rebounded from the attack and went back to work on the monsters remaining.

XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX

Everyone in the stands watched in amazement at the sight of Erza ripping through one monster after another with a variety of attacks, amazed and impressed by her attack power, proper judgement and variety of abilities, case and point…

"What remarkable precision and what incredible power, in only a matter of moments half of the monsters inside have already fallen! Though the fight seems to have taken its toll on Miss Scarlet by now, even though she still has 50 more monsters to go! 49 monsters. 46 monsters. Okay you get where I'm going with this."

XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX

Meanwhile, inside the castle…

"PHOTON SLICER!" with a flash, Erza, having previously requipped into her Flight Armor by this point, fired a blast of magic energy that incinicerated a number of monsters in one hit, though she fell to one knee after this.

"This gets more incredible by the second, despite her injuries Erza Scarlet continues to defeat one foe after another, but with an A-class monster as her next enemy how is she going to manage now?"

'That's a good question actually.' Erza raised the spear she was wielding right before the monster launched a fist at her, but when the smoke cleared she was revealed to have requipped into her Adamantine Armor, complete with a spiked shield that shattered the fist of the monster a second after it made contact 'The key with a bigger opponent is to find a way to use their own power against them.' once that monster was sent flying she continued onwards, being attacked by a number of B and C-rank monsters, then subsequently requipped into her Giant Armor and hurled her spear at the lot of monsters in front of her, ripping through all of them in one go, before she set her sights on another A-rank monster "Reuip! Photon SLICER!" she flashed into her Flight armor and fired a Photon Slicer and incinerated the monster in one go, before setting her sights on a number of other monsters, repeatedly requipping in various different armors and clothing and ripping through multiple monsters ar a time.

XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX

"As I said before ladies and gentlemen, this event keeps getting better and better as the minutes continue to pass! Titania the Queen of the Fairies just can't be stopped, the monsters can't keep up with her requips! One by one even the most vicious and bloodthirsty of the monsters fall before her might, she's taken a number of hits throughout the event and used up a fair amount of magic power but even then she keeps going! Two B-rank, one A-rank and the S-class are left standing, only four monsters out of the original 100 are left standing! These aren't your ordinary monsters though, each one of them is incredibly powerful in their own right. The question still remains folks, does she have enough magic power left to win this thing?"

Despite the concern that many were showing for Erza's weakened state, many of those from Fairy Tail remained confident that she would be able to handle the last of the monsters with no issues.

Meanwhile, back in the castle…

"REQUIP!" despite the feeling of her magic power fading, Erza requipped back into her Adamantine Armor (passing by a small eyeball creature as she did so) just in time to block a strike from the last A-rank monster, only to see the other B-rank monsters pouncing towards her from multiple angles "Requip!" she was engulfed in another flash and with it came the A-rank monster being cleaved right down the middle, courtesy of her Clear Heart Clothing and her sword, the Benizakura, with which she promptly went to down on the remaining B-rank monsters and finished them off in a series of clean strokes.

"Fantastic folks, absolutely fantastic, I'm too excited to think of any other words to describe it right now! What sort of power is awaiting our heroine with the S-class monster?"

"To put it in simple terms, and then there was one." Erza then looked up to see the small eyeball creature looming over her from a nearby tower "I see so that's it, you were the one this entire time." she didn't miss a beat as she swapped out her Benizakura for a pair of matching twin katana blades 'I can't take any chances with this one. Come at me."

The S-class monster didn't miss a beat as it unleashed a wave of purple energy as it began powering up.

Meanwhile, out in the open arena…

"You can't say I didn't warn you about this beforehand." Mato let out a sigh as he watched the battle about to go down on a lacrima screen in front of them "The S-class monster was already the most powerful of the bunch, but it was designed to see its power level triple if it became the last monster standing. You may have had a chance against the thing before, but now I'm afraid it's game over for you!"

Meanwhile, atop the castle…

"After seeing a spectacular display of magic power that ended with 99 of the monsters being defeated one after another, Pandemonium has come down to a one on one duel. It looks as if the action itself has moved towards the top of the tower, but it would seem that Erza has found herself to be completely overwhelmed by the might of the S-class monster! Now that it's taken on its monstrous true form, it has Erza trapped underneath its foot!'

"Dammit, come on…" Erza tried to push back against the S-class monster, only to be sent skidding across the small ring that served as the battlefield, forcing her to grit her teeth to work through the pain.

"I have to admit that I would never have believed that creature to be the strongest out of all of them, it's really proving to be quite the plot twist. Not as good as Vader revealing that he was Luke's father, but still good enough. Anyway, I can see why the organizers decided to call this tower by the name Pandemonium."

"You think I'm done? I've faced bigger and more terrifying monsters than you time and time again, and I've vanquished all of them, and now I'll do so again! REQUIP!" forcing herself back to her feet using sheer willpower, Erza was engulfed in a flash of light, during which she ripped through the S-class monster and cut off both of its hands, and when the light subsided she was revealed to have transformed into her Armadura Fairy Armor "This is my Armadura Fairy Armor, the strongest one that I keep in my arsenal. I named it after my guild because it embodies every single quality that I love about Fairy Tail! And now it's about to be your undoing! Fairy BURST!" she slammed both of her swords together and unleashed a massive blast of green magic energy, engulfing the S-class monster in the massive explosion that followed. When the blast subsided, Erza stood amongst the rubble, having been forced out of her armor and down into her Clear Heart Clothing, tired but triumphant, as she held up her hand and gave the Fairy Tail symbol for all to see.

"That… was… UNBELIEVABLE! Erza Scarlet, aka Titania the Queen of the Fairies, has single handedly defeated all 100 monsters in the Pandemonium castle! Fairy Tail Team A has sweeped the contest for today in an absolutely undisputed victory! Let it be known that we just witnessed history today ladies and gentlemen, the strongest guild in the kingdom from 7 years ago has returned from the grave!"

"The third day of the Grand Magic Games was truly something to behold. The amazements that we witnessed are something I'll never forget for as long as I live, however long that might be right now. Despite the countless injuries she had sustained, the fairy that many believed would've fallen actually soared beyond the expectations of everyone. Erza was able to triumph and the small sparks that were our spirits were rekindled like golden flames, like a scarlet rose blooming in all of its glory, both of her swords in hand. The crowd is going insane over the inspiring performance they just witnessed, no one here can deny how truly breathtaking and inspiring that performance was. Well done Miss Titania,

The Pandemonium event had come to an end, and everyone was left to roar with applause over the performance they had witnessed.

With the event over, Erza was summoned back before the others as the other members of Team A came rushing towards her, and she couldn't help but smile "Hey guys… I hope you'll forgive me, dealing with all of them took a lot longer than I expected, but I did say that I would deal with all 100 of them and I kept my word right? Although I can tell that some of you look like you're about to cry but you really should keep it together, keep in mind that we haven't completely won yet." this just caused the others to laugh.

'Wait you've gotta be kidding me, did I just hear that right?' Mato was about as jaw dropped as most of the others present 'Did she really just apologize to them because it took longer than she expected to? This is completely unbelievable, I knew that the wizards of Fairy Tail were strong but this is almost completely unrealistic!'

"I guess I grew somewhat complacent, I should've brought out the Armadura Fairy armor a lot sooner or else I wouldn't have ended up in the sorry state I'm in now." Erza let out a sigh, but she couldn't help but smile at the sound of the audience cheering for Fairy Tail 'I never get tired of hearing the sound of that.'

If the cheers from the audience were anything to go by, almost everyone was greatly impressed by the performance that Erza put on, from the nameless spectators in the crowds to the various members of Fairy Tail in the stands. Unfortunately, not everyone was as impressed as the others were, prime examples being various members of Sabertooth, Orga being the most notable of the lot of them.

"The booing, jeering and downright insults that greeted Fairy Tail on the first day of the games seem to come off as a distant memory now. After seeing one performance after another that blew everyone away, now you can really feel the love for them here in Crocus. I can't imagine that anyone wouldn't be impressed after seeing a display as magnificent as that one. That sort of performance is not only incredible to watch, but it's also an inspiration at the same time, now isn't it? I think it's safe to say that she's earned her title has Queen of the Fairies for a reason folks, and I also think that it goes without saying that Team Fairy Tail A has absolutely dominated the Pandemonium event, and Erza Scarlet has scored 10 points for their team!"

Once the announcements were finished, Mato turned to Cana and the rest of the remaining contestants "Okay then, after the sudden removal of the Pandemonium event we've decided that the contenders from the 7 remaining teams still need to be ranked on the scoreboard, so we've had to design another contest to that end. We understand that this game might be a little bit on the boring side compared to the likes of Pandemonium, but it's the best we could come up with on such short notice and I think it will suffice."

"So what are we looking at right now exactly?" asked Cana.

"What you're looking at right now is the Magic Power Finder, or MPF for short. It's not too shabby considering it was made on short notice."

"And based on the name I'm guessing it measures the amount of magic power that a wizard uses on it?"

"Right you are, all you have to do is cast a spell on this device and it measures and displays your magic power in a numerical form! We're going to be using this number to decide the rankings for the remaining 7 teams, that should be quick and easy."

"Sounds simple enough I guess."

"One might think it is, but this may very well be a contest that depends strictly on strength alone, so I might have to try and find a way to work around that." Hibiki frowned in thought over the event, but then he started doing the Blue Pegasus thing with Cana "But I think the real question of the matter is, are you going to be free later tonight?"

"That depends on how well I do in this event, because chances are the rest of my guild is gonna get drunk to celebrate depending on that. Oh who the hell am I kidding, they're gonna do that either way."

"I can't and won't argue with a point like that."

"Besides the flatter card doesn't really work on me, I've… got my eye on someone else right about now." Cana blushed slightly as she glanced over at where Luke was propped up against the railing, still hungover but holding up the Fairy Tail hand sign "So yeah, I'm gonna have to pass on that."

"I see. Well then I know it's not right for me to try and pursue a taken woman, so let me just wish you the best of luck with that, and with the event too."

"Thanks, but don't think I'm gonna make this easy on you. I might not be the Queen of the Fairies, but I'm still not gonna hold back on you or the others."

"I wouldn't have expected anything less from you."

"Nor should you."

"Now then, it's about time for us to get started." Mato was quick to get things back on track for the games "Since you all drew straws for the original event, we're going to be continuing in that order."

"Which means that I'm gonna end up going last."

"I'm afraid so, but don't fret. That has significantly less weight to it now that it's simply a gauge of magic power."

"But at the same time, that means it's my turn now." Milliana was quick to step forward and rip off her cloak, revealing the outfit (if you could call it that) she was wearing underneath it "Okay then, here goes nothing."

"Alright then, it looks like the sexy meter is off the charts and the magic power is about to be turned way up!"

"You haven't seen anything yet! Kitten Blast!" Milliana unleashed a sprialling wave of pink magic energy from one hand, which earned her a score of 365.

"And with that Milliana has earned a score of 365, but with that being said, since we haven't set some sort of standard for anyone to compare it with, we're not really sure whether or not to call that a good number."

"Perhaps I can offer some input in that regard. We in the Rune Knights actually use the MPF system in our training fairly often in order to gauge our progress, and judging by that standard she actually did very well. A score as high as that one would be more than enough to qualify her as a squad captain."

"Oh well in that case, it's quite the impressive start. Thank you for that Lahar."

"Alright, I am one pumped up kitty!" Milliana pumped a fist in triumph.

After Milliana had finished her turn, many of the other contestants took their turns, which started with Nobarly hitting the MPF and being shocked to find out that he only received a mere 124 points as a result. It was after him that Hibiki was heading towards the MPF. Eve and Ren both stated that Hibiki wouldn't have a chance in this event, only for Ichiya to admonish them and state that they should have more faith in their friend. This was quickly thrown out the window as a result of Hibiki only getting 95 points.

After Hibki's failure of a turn, Obra from Raven Tail went up next and sent the little monkey creature that clung to him to attack the MPF, which only earned him a total of 4 point, much to the shock of those around him. Flare was quick to complain about how Obra should've tried harder, but Alexei was quick to silence her and tell her that Obra's powers needed to be kept a secret fron the audience.

About half of the turns later…

"Okay then!" following the disappointment of Obra's turn, Mato was quick to get the event back on track "Up to this point Milliana from Team Mermaid Heel is currently in the lead with a score of 365 points!"

"Meow to the meow!" needless to say, Milliana was pretty thrilled by this "This sort of thing is even better than chasing after my own tail!"

"Don't get too excited over it, because I'm about to change that." this was when Orga stepped forward looking as arrogant ever.

"And just like that the crowd is going berserk for Orga, one of the strongest that Sabertooth has to offer us!"

"Just step back and watch the master at work. Go ahead and watch as I rip this thing a new one and show you why Sabertooth is the strongest, and if you're lucky enough to see me in a good mood then I might show you some more of my vocals again. 120 mm Black Lightning CANNON!" he cupped his hands in front of him and hurled forward a blast of black lightning, which was promptly absorbed by the MPF and showed his score, which promptly freaked out the others.

"Holy crap this is incredible, with one blast of his black lightning Orga was able to reach a score of 3,825 points! That's more than 10 times the original high score!"

Needless to say, Orga's high score with his black lightning had put him far ahead of the others and was met with disbelief from many, with Lahar in particular being shocked. His performance also earned a dance of joy from Lector and Frosch, and also cause Laxus to watch with a smirk plastered across his face.

But now the question remained in the eyes of many: had Orga set the bar that none of the others would be able to pass, or would Jura be able to push past it? In the eyes of Lyon, the answer was the latter.

Meanwhile, back in the arena…

"Alright take it easy big guy, we could do without the singing." Mato was quick to snatch the mic back from Orga and save the crowd from his horrible singing.

"Looks to me like things are really heating up down there ladies and gentlemen, with one single attack Orga was able to crack the four digit mark! But now the question remains, can Jura of the Ten Wizard Saints manage to pass that incredible, or has the bar already been set?"

"So it would seem that my turn has come then." Jura calmly stepped forward towards the Magic Power Finder "Tell me, do you mind if I would give it my all?"

"Well that is the game for this event, so that's highly encouraged."

"Very well then, I thought it was best to be certain." Jura clasped his hands together and took a deep breath, and as his body began glowing with magic power, the entire stadium began shaking from the pressure.

"And now things are getting underway folks, the time has come to see what Iron Rock Jura has in store for us! From the first glance it's clear to all that he's building up an intense level of magic power!"

"Rumbling Mt FUJI!" with a surge of magic power, Jura enveloped the Magic Power Finder in a massive column of light, and when it subsided his score was revealed.

"This is absolutely mind blowing, with that fantastic display the Iron Rock Jura has obtained a score of 8,544 points! This right here is absolutely undeniable proof of why the title of the Ten Wizard Saints isn't just for show!"

Meanwhile, with Team Fairy Tail B…

"Sweet merciful Buudha, what the fuck?!" Gajeel's jaw dropped at the sight of Jura's score, though he seemed to be the only one with that reaction "How in the flying name of fuck did an old geezer like that manage to get a score that high?!"

"And here I thought it would be higher than that." Luke let out a chuckle from his place propped up against the railing "Don't forget that even if you disregard the amount of power he put out when I fought him back in the first day, he is one of the Ten Wizard Saints, and those title aren't just for show either."

"For fuck's sake, I knew he had the title but part of me did think it was just for show. Just take a look at Jose, even you had defeated him back then."

"And it almost killed me in the process, but it came a hell of a lot closer with Hades than it did with him, so I guess I should count myself as lucky."

"Yeah, if I had to guess then he might even be able to hold his own against Gildarts by this point, but that might be stretching it. But even if that is the case, there's only main reason why I'm not really worried about it."

"The fact that you're still hungover from last night?"

"Make that two main reasons. The other one should be pretty obvious, Lamia Scale might have someone that that could be able to go toe to toe with the likes of Gildarts, but we've got someone with the blood of Gildarts coursing through her veins down there."

"...Oh god help us all. She's probably already drunk. How the hell do you deal with that sort of thing all the time?"

"It's not that complicated, don't forget that my Exceed stuffs his face with those special brownies on almost a daily basis."

"Speaking of which, where is your Exceed right now?"

"He said something about wanting to tag along with Mystogan and do some sight seeing around the city, and he'd be waiting to hear from us about our win. Anyway going back to Cana, she's got a certain trump card to play that might just put even a Wizard Saint itself to shame."

"What sort of something exactly?" asked Laxus.

"Nothing bad I can assure you, it's just a little something that the First Master lent her some time ago, and now she's managed to hone it and make it her own, and now that she has this one is a sure win."

"...Sweet mother of fuck we're doomed."

"Come on you guys, have some faith in her. Wielding a spell like the one she's got going for her isn't an easy task, it takes a metric fuckton of concentration and reserves of power. Cana has both of those going for her in spades, and I know for a fact that if there's anyone in our entire guild that can do this, it's her. Even if I only recently realized how I feel about her, the amount of potential she has going for her is something I've always known. You've got this.'

"After that fantastic display by Iron Rock Jura, the final challenger of the first event of the day is going to be Cana Alberona from Team Fairy Tail B. I certainly wouldn't want to have to follow up the likes of Iron Rock Jura, that's for certain."

"Oh you're so kind, way to save the best for last." Cana rolled her eyes and stepped forward towards the Magic Power Finder 'I can see it now, these people think I'm drunk as fuck and I'll be lucky to get within the top three, assuming that I can beat Milliana right? Well then I guess I'll just have to go ahead and give them the biggest middle finger to anyone and everything since Teen Titans Go became a thing, the main difference being that this one doesn't spit on everything I stand for. Now it's about time for me to show you all the grand finale!" she promptly ripped off her jacket, revealing a certain glowing mark on her right arm for all the world to see "You guys like what you see? Well you haven't seen anything yet!" she held up her right arm as a column of golden light enveloped her "Now the time has come for you to assemble, o river of light that is guided by fairies! Shine your light so that I may vanquish the fangs of wickedness! Fairy GLITTER!" and then a golden light enveloped the entire stadium as a result of the spell, and when the light subsided the Magic Power Finder showed her score for everyone to see, and be left absolutely gobsmacked by "And it's over 9,000, eat your heart out Dragon Ball!"

"Holy sweet mother of god, I can't believe what I'm seeing ladies and gentlemen! The Magic Power Finder has been blown to hell and back, and the amount of power she's put out is literally off the charts! This guild truly is beyond incredible, that fact is visible as the morning sun! With their power visible for all of the kingdom to see, Fairy Tail is taking today's events by storm and leaving everyone else in the dust! Now that we've seen their true strength time and again, the question remains, can anyone stop them now?!"

"Let me answer that for you, the answer is NOPE!" Cana didn't miss a beat as she started gloating to the rest of the people in the stands "There's no chance of stopping us, we've been rocking your world up until now, but we're just getting started! Fairy Tail is gonna be number one again, we're gonna make sure of it!" this bold declaration was met with a massive amount of cheers from the audience.

Mato was particularly taken aback by the display of power being shown 'This changes just about everything, now I'll have to put a little bit more thought into my plans.'

After the event had come to an end, Nullpudding of Raven Tail handed Alexei a paper with the fixtures for the battle portion of the day. Complimenting the former on the creativity of the fixtures, Alexei then informed the rest of Raven Tail that that the time had come to begin their plan, and they all shared matching devious smiles.

"Alright ladies and gentlemen, we've reached the halfway point of the third day of the Grand Magic Games, so I think it's about time we take a look at the current standings of each of the teams. In first place we have the B team for the Fairy Tail guild, with a whopping 35 points! In second place we have Team Raven Tail with 26 points. In third place we have Team Lamia Scale with 25 points. Now having dropped down to fourth place we have Team Sabertooth with 24 points. Having risen up from originally being in last place, we now have Team Fairy Tail A in fifth place with 21 points. Now we'll have to see if they can keep climbing up through the ranks to see if they can keep true to their claim. In sixth place we have Team Mermaid Heel with 20 points. In seventh place we have Blue Pegasus with 17 points, and at the very bottom of the bunch in last place we have Team Quatro Puppy with 14 points. Alright then ladies and gentlemen, I think it's about time for us to do away with the pleasantries and get right down to business, and I think the best way to do that is with some one on one battles! I'm looking forward to these battles, they should prove to be pretty exciting, but topping what we saw in the first and second events is going to be quite the challenge. First up is the kitten with the major claws, here we have Milliana of the Mermaid Heel guild, and her opponent in this match is going to be the tower of giants of the Quatro Puppy guild, Semmes! Now let's get this match started!"

The match quickly started with with Semmes attacking Milliana with his Wild Spin attack, claiming that whoever between the two of them has the greater speed would be the victor. His attacks left Milliana to dodge and attempt to fight back with her Bad Kitty Restraint Tube, but unfortunately her attacks proved to be futile, and she ended up taking a considerable number of hits from him as a result. This seemed to be a disadvantage and left the members of Team Quatro Puppy excited, and left the members of Team Mermaid Heel looking concerned. Despite this however, Kagura was quick to reassure them about Milliana's resolve, since she knew fully well who Milliana wanted to defeat. Sure enough, Milliana eventually was able to use her Bad Kitty Restraint Tube to grab onto Semmes by the lower parts of his body, and upon making contact, she was able to pin him down and incapacitate him, which allowed her to claim the win and earn 10 points for Mermaid Heel.

After that match ended, the next one was announced to be Rufus and Eve, and using their respective Memory Make and Snow Make magic, the two of them went back and forth with one another, despite neither of them dealing damage on the other. Nonetheless, the audience was excited by the performance they were putting on in the match. Even Lahar, who had briefly mentioned how Eve used to be affiliated with the Rune Knights, praised the prowess being shown by his former colleague. Unfortunately, the course of the battle ended up taking a drastic turn when Rufus made use of his Memory Make: Karma of the Scorching Earth. This attack was enough to leave Eve with considerable burns and render him unable to continue fighting, which granted Rufus a win and Sabertooth another 10 points.

The spectators in the stands were left astonished by the level of power Rufus showed them, which to an extent, showed the power of all of Sabertooth. From his own place watching from the sidelines, Gray decided that he would have to be the one to defeat Rufus and his unique form of Maker Magic, which Mavis had dubbed as an ancient spell.

The members of Team Blue Pegasus however, they were worried over the fact that Eve had been defeated almost instantly by a member of Sabertooth. Ichiya was quick to do his thing and reassure Ren and Hibiki that all would be fine, seeing how they had a secret weapon with them, referring to the mystery member in the bunny suit. Hibiki and Ren agreed with this, despite the suspicion both of them held about the mystery bunny man, with Ren even wondering if they were actually a member of the guild, and if they weren't then that would violate the rules of the Grand Magic Games.

"Alright then ladies and gentlemen, the time has come for us to start up the third match of the day! Bringing in the thunder is Laxus Dreyar from Team Fairy Tail B! He'll be going up against the mysterious man in the metal mask, the one known as Alexei from Raven Tail!"

"Yeah that figures, why am I not surprised?" Luke picked himself up off the ground and quickly shook off the nausea "Of course he would go up against someone from Ivan's guild."

"You think he's gonna have a problem?" Cana shot a raised eyebrow in his direction.

"Of course not, he's probably the biggest powerhouse we've got. I'm just saying that the irony is painful, and something in the pit of my gut that this isn't gonna go well. Either that or it's the nausea making a comeback. I'm not really sure which."

"You gonna need the bucket again?"

"I've already got one next to me."

XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX

From their place in the announcer's box, Yajima asked Lahar if he had Rune Knights stationed around the Domus Flau, and in response to this Lahar explained that there were because of regulations, which caused Yajima to warn him about keeping an extra eye out for the members of the Raven Tail guild.

At the same time, Makarov and Mavis had a number of members of Fairy Tail positioned in various different areas throughout the arena, keeping an eye on Ivan and the members of Raven Tail from where they were located in the stands.

"Alright then competitors Laxus of Fairy Tail and Alexei of Raven Tail, the time has come for the both of you to step forward! Now let the battle begin!"

Once the gong sounded and the match started, Laxus was quick to ask who Alexei could be, knowing fully well that he was part of Ivan's guild. To his own apparent surprise, he was suddenly dealt an unexpectedly harsh attack, knocking him off his feet and leaving his own guildmates taken by surprise as a result. Many of them became even more shocked when they watched Alexei beating the ever loving crap out of Laxus with ease as though he were a defenseless punching bag. At one point Laxus was able to gain some ground and try to launch a counterattack on Alexei, though this was quickly reversed.

Meanwhile, with Team Fairy Tail B…

"Dammit, this is an absolute load of bullshit!" Gajeel let out a snarl as he punched a nearby wall in frustration "What the fuck gives, he should be ripping that bastard a new one like there's no tomorrow, not getting beaten into bloody paste!"

"Calm down and think for a second, there's a pretty good reason for that. Just take a look down there and see for yourself." Luke glanced down there and took a whiff, and his eyes narrowed as he did so "Ivan you crafty bastard, so that's what you're playing at?"

"What are you talking about?" asked Cana.

"He's craftier than I gave him credit for, but even the strongest of illusions can't fool the enhanced senses of a Dragon Slayer. What we're seeing right now is just an illusion being set up by Alexei, if we can call him that."

"What's that mean?"

"Take a look up there." he looked up at where Ivan and the other members of Raven Tail were positioned in the stands, or rather where they were supposed to be "I'm picking up six different scents from down in the arena, one of them is Laxus and the other is Alexei, and the other four I've already smelled before."

Meanwhile, down in the arena…

"So that's what you're doing is it?" Laxus glanced around at the purple haze that settled throughout the arena around him, while the illusionary fight was playing out, and he shot a glare at Alexei "So you wanna explain what the hell is going on here?"

"It's simply a type of illusionary magic." Alexei told him flatly "It's the only way the two of us would be able to have a private conversation, those around us cannot see or hear anything that is happening between the two of us, even though we're standing right in front of them. The only way to dispel it is for you to defeat me, not that such an outcome will actually happen."

'So they can't see or hear us, but he never said that people with enhanced senses of smell can't figure it out. Should I tell him that we have a few Dragon Slayers here that probably already figured it out? Nah I'll shatter his ego after a few minutes, figure out what he wants first.'

"What they're watching right now is merely an illusion of the two of us doing battle with each other, and it's proving to be incredibly convincing is it not? Not only a single person has noticed it yet, and all they're seeing right now is you struggle to stand your ground against me in a losing battle. I can imagine how nice it must be to see that your guild mates hold you in as high regard as they do, so I'm sure they must be absolutely heartbroken watching you fall to your enemy in such a pathetic state as this."

"I still don't get it though, whatever plan you've got in the works doesn't make any sense at all to me. What's the point of taking me out with some kind of illusion? It's not like you could even call that a real win."

"I believe it should be obvious that victory in this match is not my ultimate goal. The purpose of the illusion is to distract those around us, and if I can control the illusion then I can control the outcome of the match as well."

"And by control it you mean what exactly?"

"It's quite simple really. Observe." Alexei then proceeded to alter the illusion to make it look like the fake Laxus was making a counterattack, only to be once again put at the fake Alexei's mercy, or lack thereof.

"So that's your idea of controlling the match, am I suppose to give a shit about that?"

"The point I'm trying to make is that I can arrange for you to win this match, though it all depends on how our negotiations fair."

"Let me stop you right there." Laxus promptly ripped off his jacket and dropped into a combat stance, his body surging with electricity "There isn't a chance in hell I'm gonna fall for that sort of crap. Dude, no language in this entire fucking world has a word for how little I care about your illusion. A quantum supercomputer calculating for a thousand years could not even approach the number of fucks I do not give. But what I do know is that I can't wait to get my hands on the real you here and now so I can rip you a new one here and now."

"I wouldn't allow myself to get so overconfident if I were you, not in the face of odds as overwhelming as the ones you face." Alexei gestured behind him as he was joined on the scene by Flare and the rest of his comrades from Raven Tail "I will say that your current level of power is quite impressive, but not even the strongest of wizards could defeat all of Raven Tail when fighting them simultaneously."

"You wanna bet?"

"Your confidence is predictable, but there is one other factor that you may want to consider before you try and fight is in a futile attempt." Alexei then proceeded to remove the metal mask he was wearing, revealing his true face "I'm sure that you're fully aware of just how powerful I truly am, now aren't you my boy?"

"You know I shouldn't be surprised by this, I had a pretty strong feeling that it was you behind that mask… my deadbeat dad."

Sure enough, Alexei was revealed to be Ivan Dreyar in the flesh, the psychotic look in his eyes and malicious smirk still plastered across his face "Makarov would rather give up his own life than reveal the secret. But you on the other hand, you're a different story. Surely I can depend on my own son to help me with furthering my goals. Now to that end, I want you to tell me where I can find the Lumen Histoire."

"Hate to break it to you old man, but I've never heard of it."

"Don't try to play dumb with me, if Makarov was to tell anyone then it would surely be his own beloved grandson."

"I guess you don't know him as well as you thought you did, because I don't have a damn clue what the fuck you're talking about."

"He must have told you something about it."

"Not a damn thing, but even if the old man did tell me about it there isn't a chance in hell that I would ever tell you."

"Oh come now my boy, I'm offering to you the opportunity to emerge victorious and unscathed from what is otherwise an utterly hopeless situation. If you dare to refuse my terms then your illusionary form won't be the only one getting a thrashing."

"If you think you can scare me then you're in for one metrick fuckton of a wakeup call. It's no wonder why the old geezer gave up on you and cast you out. You and your lapdogs come at me with everything you've got, if you're an enemy of the master of Fairy Tail then that makes you an enemy of me too, and I've got no problems with ripping you apart."

"Is that so? Well then I think it's about time for your father to teach his wretched son a very important lesson." Ivan's malicious smirk widened as his body began surging with crimson electricity "The guild that stands before you today was created for one reason, and that is to take down Fairy Tail once and for all."

The rest of those watching the fight were still fooled by the illusion that Ivan had set up, though they were getting suspicious over the fact that little to no magic power could be sensed coming from Alexei, and the lack of movement from the rest of Raven Tail was concerning in the eyes of many. Adding onto this was the fact that Laxus was supposedly getting beaten within an inch of his life, with very few being able to figure out what the problem was.

Meanwhile, back with the real fight…

"Is that so? Well then I think it's about time for your father to teach his wretched son a very important lesson." Ivan's malicious smirk widened as his body began surging with crimson electricity "The guild that stands before you today was created for one reason, and that is to take down Fairy Tail once and for all."

"Uh huh." needless to say, Laxus was less than impressed with this revelation "So you mean to tell me that you created Raven Tail just to try and rip us a new one."

"That is indeed the case my boy, I handpicked every single member of this guild personally because they each specialize in a form of magic that the members of Fairy Tail are woefully illequipped to deal with, and unlike my original four elites you'll find that these ones are not complete disgraces and failures."

"You mean those elemental rejects that me and Luke faced off with awhile back, when they tried to harvest that lacrima you stuck in my back."

"That was more of a secondary objective, the main purpose was to use them to gauge your level of power back then. Now that I know the extent of power you're capable of, I know for a fact that even with that power, taking on all four of them, along with myself, would be akin to suicide my boy. I've spent year after year learing the best way to bring you to your knees, but if words aren't enough to convince you then by all means feel free to try and test our power. Your screams will be music to my ears."

"Your bravado is really getting on my nerves, but it's only fair to warn you that the old geezer has been doing his homework too you know."

"You mean that little troll has been spying on us?"

"You got that one right on the money pops, everything about Raven Tail from their ranks and location to the fronts of its operations and activity over the past 7 years. He knows all of it like the back of my hand."

"What was that? So that was it, he must have had Gajeel working as a double agent and relaying all of the information he gathered to Makarov. No matter then, once Makarov has fallen I'll make sure that Gajeel will be next.'

"Yep, he played you like a sucker for 7 years and you never even noticed, even when it was right up in your face the whole time."

"So I see. No matter, that's little more than a simple loose end that I will have to deal with shortly after our negotiations have been finished. Tell me something though, what you say does raise a certain question. If Makarov knew as much about my guild as you claim he did, then why had he never decided to act on it when he had the chance?"

"It's not that complicated, that stubborn old fool has a pretty bad habit of holding back when he really shouldn't. He and I actually talked over this before we left Magnolia. Even though you claimed to have dirt on Fairy Tail, he said that you knew better than to let it slip about it would be a lot more dangerous than keeping it to yourself. I could see the pain on his face when he said he wouldn't be going after you, and the rage too. He wanted to believe that there was still good in you, that you wouldn't touch the guild while we were gone, and you know what he learned? He learned that you slaughtered at least a dozen of them looking for whatever it is you wanted from the guild." he glanced up to see Ivan gritting his teeth furiously "I could see it in his eyes, whatever hope he had left for you shattered like Lori Loughlin's credibility. That really hurts doesn't it? After everything you had done, even then he still had some semblance of hope left for you for one simple reason: Because you're his son."

"SILENCE!" with a roar filled with unyielding rage, Ivan blitzed forward and fired from one hand a blast of crimson colored lightning, which sent Laxus tumbling backwards, but not really harming "I'll have you know that every waking moment I've lived in the shadows has been for the sake of preparing for this day, for the day when I could finally have the unlimited power of the Lumen Histoire within my grasp! I spent years finding everything that I could on it and searching through whatever scraps or pathetic leftovers from your worthless guild I could find on it, and for those who stood in my way I gave them what they deserved for defying me! The guild hall and Magnolia, even the likes of Tenrou Island itself, I checked every location and resource connected to Fairy Tail but I still never found it! Tell me where I can find the location of te Lumen Histoire now Laxus, stop hiding it from me already! You're my son aren't you? I thought that you of all people would understand the meaning of loyalty to your family!"

"...Family? The old geezer once said to me that flesh and blood be damned, anyone who would endanger the lives of those in the guild have to be kicked out with no exception. That's how the guild has managed to stay strong over the years, it's the way things have always been, and probably the way things are always going to be. Then came my stupid choice to have the Battle of Fairy Tail, when I fought Natsu and Gray, and even Mystogan. Natsu had to pound it into my skull that blood ties don't mean a damn thing, because everyone in the guild is supposed to be considered as family.' Laxus easily picked himself back up to his feet and simply cracked his neck.

"I was wondering why you just stood there and took it, you were testing the limits of my magic power weren't you? Good to know that some things are never going to change."

"That lightning wasn't like anything I had ever felt before. Is this that stuff that I heard about from the others, the Lightning Demon Slayer magic?"

"So you heard about it from that wretched feline with the axe. Dragon Slayers slay dragons, God Slayers slay gods, and Demon slayers slay demons, the most superior form of the three types of slayer magic if you know how to use it properly. But that doesn't matter with you, I know for a fact that you can't bring yourself to strike your own father. But then again, if I'm wrong about that then prove it to me here and now."

'His arrogance is really starting to get under my skin. But at the same time, if he uses slayer magic then he can eat my lightning, but I should be able to eat his too.'

"Hey Laxus!" this was when Luke got his attention from his place in the stands and gave him a certain hand symbol "You remember what this means don't you?"

'...You're damn right I do you son of a bitch. You might not be able to see me, but you're still looking my way and thinking about me. They're gonna be watching over me for as long as I live, I've never forgotten that even for a second, and I'm sure as hell not about to start now.'

"Enough of this farce!" Ivan was quick to lose his patience, that is to say if he had any, and gestured over to Obra "Stop wasting time and drain his magic Obra, the time has come for us to show this ungrateful wretch the true power of our hatred for Fairy Tail!" this prompted Obra to start to cast a spell.

"Nope." Laxus suddenly blitzed in front of Obra and kicked him out with a single move "The next time you try picking on a little girl, you had better make sure I don't hear about it. To put in terms even Natsu could understand, that one was for Wendy."

"Needle Blast!" Nullpudding went next and fired a barrage of purple spikes from multiple parts of his body.

"As for you ugly, I think Gray sends his regards!" one lightning-enhanced punch was all that he needed to knock Nullpudding needed to knock him out cold and leave him in a heap in a small crater.

"Hair Shower: WOLF FANG!" Flare went next and sent forward a large wolf emerging from her hair "You're not gonna get out of this one blondie!

"You and the others aren't even worth my time. Lightning Dragon ROAR!" Laxus let out a roar of lightning that engulfed Flare and sent her flying "That one was for Lucy, and now there's only one pathetic loser left."

"Sand Fake!" this was when Kurohebi blitzed behind Laxus and tried to land an attack from behind, only to be knocked out with one swift lightning-enhanced chop.

"Get out of my face loser, you aren't worth my time." with the four so-called elites out of the way, Laxus turned his attention back to Ivan "And then there was one."

"Faster than I expected, but it still doesn't matter to me."

"It's your turn you worthless deadbeat. I don't know what you were hoping to accomplish here and frankly I couldn't give less of a shit. From lurking in the shadows like a fucking emo to killing members of my guild to just screwing with us all throughout the games just for the sake of shits and giggles, there's only one thing you're gonna be getting for all of your trouble and that's a world of pain! And probably spending the lest of your life rotting in a prison cell. And don't even try to give me some pathetic spiel about how you're still my father and how I should have some loyalty, because the only thing you need to understand is that Fairy Tail is the only family that I've got, and anyone who would threaten them and spill their blood isn't going to get any mercy from me."

"Is that so?" despite seeing his supposed elites fall, Ivan merely let out a chuckle as he removed his cape and threw it aside "Well no matter, if you insist on siding with that wretched guild so much, then you'll just have to share their gruesome demise, and it won't be swift."

"I'm not afraid of you old man, come at me with everything you've got and I'll just take it and more."

"Very well then, if you insist." Ivan's body was covered in crimson electricity in an instant, black markings appearing on his face "So then, I believe the time has come for us to get started with our inevitable showdown."

'His magic power is rising by the second, and those black markings on his face… Is that part of this Demon Slayer magic you mentioned earlier?"

"So you noticed then. As I said, Demon Slayer magic is far superior to the type that you and the others wield, so long as you know how to use it properly. With this magic at my disposal, I stand above the even most powerful warriors and mages through the entire continent! Now I'm going to end your miserable guild and find the Lumen Histoire, and those who stand in my way shall die slow and painful deaths!" Ivan's body continued to surge with magic power, the black marks spreading until they covered half of his face "Yes this is it, now do you see, do you see what I'm truly capable of?! I can feel so much magic power building inside of me, the possibilities of what I can do with it are endless!"

Laxus was able to easily brace himself from the shockwaves 'His power is rising fast, at this rate I'm gonna have to go all out to take him down.'

"It's been a very long time since I've had to use this power against a deserving opponent, and now the time has come for us to see just what I'm capable of now!" in a flash, Ivan suddenly blitzed behind Laxus and dealt him a sharp kick to the spine, then merely deflected a stray blast of lightning without batting an eye "Lightning Demon Crimson JAVELIN!" then he followed up by quickly dealing a quick yet powerful surge of crimson electricity to Laxus' side, the force sending him hurtling across the arena "Now you're about to see the true extent of my unrivaled and overwhelming power!"

Laxus was quick to pull himsellf back to his feet and wipe some blood from his lip 'Dammit, I let my guard down because I underestimated him.'

"I can feel the power coursing through my veins, it's absolutely intoxicating." Ivan's magic power surged with even greater intensity than it had before "With the power that I have at my disposal, you can be sure that Raven Tail will reign supreme, and the Lumen Histoire will finally be within my grasp! No one in all of the kingdom will be able to match my power!" he then burst forward and let a fist fly.

Laxus was able to maneuver around the fist at the last second, and he managed to avoid being hit by only a few inches.

"It would seem that I'll need to readjust how much power I use, since I have so much of it at my disposal, it's easy for me to lose control of myself. But I should warn you that I'm not going to miss you again. Lightning Demon Imperial Sword!" Ivan summoned a large broadsword made of demonic lightning and thrusted it forward, piercing Laxus through the gut with it and then slashing him up the torso.

Gritting his teeth, Laxus gripped the lightning sword with one hand and then used it to absorb the lightning "You know when two wizards go up against each other using the same type of magic, there are a few different outcomes that determine who claims the victory."

"Their level of magic energy, their technique and their experience. That is what you were going to say correct?"

"There's one more factor, it's the heart. I learned that from the old man."

"He did tell me that once, but he also made it clear that power is what triumphs above everything else."

"I used to think like that, and it led me to do some pretty stupid stuff."

"At the top of that list is your daring to defy me!" Ivan suddenly dealt Laxus a brutal uppercut that sent him crashing to the ground a short distance away "Don't think this is all of the power that I have at my disposal, this is just me warming up! Lightning Demon Static Whip!" he then created a tendril made of red lightning and used it to grab Laxus by the leg and then hurl him into the wall of the arena "Yes I can feel it, this power becomes more and more intoxicating by the second!" and then he burst towards Laxus at full speed.

'Shit!' Laxus rebounded just in time to be forced on the defensive by a brutal barrage of punches and kicks from Ivan 'He's not letting up, he's not even giving me a chance to try and go on the offensive.'

"Face the facts my so called son, you're too far out of your league to be able to even dream of standing against me! Lightning Demon RAGE!" Ivan let out a roar, and with it came a blast of red lightning at nearly point blank range.

'No time to dodge it, so there's only one thing I can really do. Well either that or eat it, but then again what's to stop him from eating all of my attacks? Lightning Dragon ROAR!" Laxus let out a roar and stream of lightning of his own, the two breath attacks easily cancelling each other out in a fiery explosion, and when the smoke cleared both of them were revealed to have sustained minor burns from the explosion "You know you could've just eaten my lightning and gotten it over with."

"The same could be said with you, but since both of us are able to consume the properties of the other and then use it at will, such a tactic would most most likely make this battle go on for much longer than either of us desire."

"Fair enough I guess."

"So you're finally using the power within that lacrima that I gave you all those years ago. I suppose that I shouldn't be surprised that you're actually putting it to good use. At least you've finally come to the realization that you can't hope to defeat me, so why do you continue to fight against me?"

"It's not that complicated. I don't know why you bothered to give me this thing and frankly I couldn't give less of a damn, but I've made this power my own and now I'm gonna use it to the fullest to show you why you don't screw with Fairy Tail."

"And you truly believe that such a thing is going to come to pass? So be it then, I suppose I'll just have to further my demonstration of why you were foolish to ever dream of being able to challenge me." with a surge of magic power, Ivan's markings continued to spread further, until they were now covering ⅔ of his face, his body surging with even more electricity than it had been before "I hope that you're prepared for this one my boy, because now I'm going to be taking this fight seriously."

"It took you long enough."

"Just remember that I gave you the chance to walk away from this, but you spat on it and threw it away."

"And you remember that you fucked yourself over when you attacked the guild and killed or drove away most of its members."

"They stood in my way and paid the price, now enough of your prattling. All you're doing is delaying the inevitable." the two of them burst forward and started trading even blows, the force sending out various shockwaves and sparks of electricity across the arena.

Laxus tried to deal Ivan a kick from behind, only for him to suddenly blitz out of the way, with this forcing Laxus to retreat a distance away "Lightning Dragon ROAR!" and then he let out a lightning-enhanced roar.

"Lightning Demon RAGE!" Ivan was quick to counter the roar with one of his own, the two blasts cancelling each other out 'It would seem that he's more powerful than I was expecting, I suppose all of his talk wasn't just bravado.'

'Looks like he's a lot tougher than I gave him credit for, and here I thought he was just talking out of his ass.' the two of them broke off from their lightning attacks and went back to trading a series of evenly matched punches and kicks.

"If you're struggling against me as much as you are even after all of that talk, then you're clearly either running out of power or you're just not as skilled as you let yourself believe you were!"

"Everything you just said is pretty much describing you to a fucking T, but either way there's no way I'm gonna lose to you!"

"Perhaps I'll just unleash even more of my power, allow myself to be swallowed by the darkness that comes with my magic and make you beg for the mercy you'll never receive!"

"Go ahead and try whatever the hell you want, I'm still gonna take you down!"

"I think you'll see the error in that claim soon enough, your end will be slow and painful, and then I'll finally get my hands on the Lumen Histoire!" their fists collided with so much force that it sent out a massive shockwave throughout the arena, but then they broke away "You've only just begun to see the true capabilities of one whose allowed the demons to bless them with their unrivaled power! Lightning Demon Judgement Bolt!" he held a fist upwards and then aimed it in the direction of Laxus, in which he summoned forth a large bolt of crimson colored lightning that hurtled towards him faster than any normal person would be able to follow.

"Raging BOLT!" thinking quick, Laxus summoned his own ball of lightning above him just in time for it to cancel out Ivan's attack, leaving them to detonate above the arena 'That was a lot closer than I would've liked, if I hadn't summoned the Raging Bolt when I did then that could've caused some serious damage. The question is, how much power is he really hiding? The way things are going now this is probably gonna drag out for longer than I would like. I guess the only chance I've really got to end this fast is to go all out. Come on old man, I say it's about time for the two of us to start the real fight."

"I couldn't have said it better myself my boy. It is quite the same though, if you didn't side with the likes of Makarov and that sorry excuse for a guild then you would've been my greatest asset, but now you're nothing more than another obstacle I have to overcome. Lightning Demon Sparking Shuriken!" Ivan wasted no time has he created several plate-sized discs made of red lightning and sent them hurtling forward.

Laxus didn't miss a beat as he blitzed around each shuriken, leaving some of them to detonate upon crashing into each other "Lightning Dragon IRON FIST!" and then he dealt Ivan a brutal lightning-enhanced fist to the stomach that sent him skidding backwards, despite the fact that the attack was blocked.

It wasn't too long before Ivan was able to stop himself 'I can feel myself shaking from that one attack, it's a great deal more stimulating than I was expecting it to be. As I said it's such a shame that I have to do away with you, you had so much potential to stand above the other peons in this world, and you've squandered all of it by siding with Makarov. Now I have to do the dirty work that results from your poor choices." his magic power surged around him.

"I've gotta admit that you're a lot tougher than I was expecting you to be, part of me thought that I was gonna be able to oneshot you and that would be it."

"And for your arrogance you're about to pay the price!" Ivan pounced at Laxus, only for him to suddenly blitz out of view 'He's faster than I was expecting him to be.'

"Right behind you old man! Lightning Dragon Iron FIST!" Laxus blitzed in front of Ivan and buried a lightning-enhanced fist in his gut, sending him hurtling across the arena and crashing into the wall behind him 'That's not gonna be enough to take him down, his durability is about as off the charts as his speed and power. The way things are going chances are I'm gonna have to bring out my trump card.'

"I hope you've prepared for this my boy, because I'm about to finish this battle right here and right now. Lightning Demon Judgement BOLT!" Ivan waved his hand and summoned forth a bolt of crimson lightning.

"I thought you would've learned by now old man, that same attack being used twice isn't gonna work on me! Raging BOLT!" with a wave of his own hand, Laxus summoned a Raging Bolt to counter Ivan's attack.

"You fell for it! Lightning Demon Imperial SWORD!" Ivan blitzed behind Laxus and then summoned forth a sword made of lightning, which he promptly used to stab Laxus square in the spine, causing him to cough up blood and fall to the groundwith a thud "And that is why you were foolish to challenge me. Now that you're out of my way, the only true threat that I have to deal with is Makarov, and then no one will be able to stop me from obtaining the Lumen Histoire for myself. Now all I have to do is finish the job and send you to the next world, where the rest of them will follow very soon." his body began surging with red electricity.

'Crap, right in the fucking spine…' Laxus spat out a fair amount of blood from the wound he received 'I can still feel my legs… Good, a few inches further down and I would've had a serious problem. Still though, I'm gonna have to use it after all after something like that. What was it that Luke always quotes from TFS? Oh yeah… Plant your feet, grit your teeth, and eat that mother fucking horse!'

"Now die! Lightning Demon Judgement BOLT!" Ivan rained down a bolt of crimson lightning towards Laxus, fully intent on finishing him, only for the bolt to be snuffed out in an instant, which definitely took Ivan by surprise "What?!"

When the smoke cleared, Laxus was standing back on his feet, alive and well despite the wounds and dried blood covering his body, which had now bulked up considerably with dragon scales covering his arms and torso, and his features becoming more primal "Did you really think that I was gonna go down that easily?"

"So you had another trick up your sleeve, I suppose I shouldn't be surprised. You had inherited my intelligence after all."

"You're not the only one that had a few tricks up his sleeve, and if you thought that I was gonna be some kind of pathetic pushover then you're even more delusional than I originally thought you were. You gave me this power a long time ago and now I'm gonna use it for the sake of ripping you apart. That is to say, I'm gonna do it using the power of Dragon Force."

"You have bulked up and shown some draconic features, but if you think that such a thing will give you an advantage against me then you're in for quite the rude awakening. But if that's what you wish for then I won't object, just keep in mind that you asked for this, and you have no one to blame for this but yourself! Lightning Demon Sparking SHURIKEN!" he fired off a rapid barrage of crimson lightning disks from both hands.

Laxus didn't even have to do anything more than spike his magic power, and that was enough to dissipate a few of the discs in an instant, and those he couldn't dissipate he just absorbed with clear ease "I'll keep that in mind old man, thanks for the heads up."

'To absorb some of them is one thing, but the others just dissipated! That's impossible! That was pure luck on your part, nothing more and nothing less. I guarantee for a fact that you won't be so lucky this time around, not when I decide to get serious! Lightning Demon RAGE!" Ivan then let out a roar, and with it a blast of crimson lightning.

"Lightning Dragon IRON FIST!" Laxus simply burst forward with a lightning enhanced fist, and with a single swift movement he ripped through the roar with ease, causing the blast to dissipate harmlessly.

"What the- There's no way you should've been able to do that!"

"There's a lot of things that you don't know I can do, the only thing that you really need to know is that I'm not stopping until you're on the ground in a bloody heap."

"Then I shall do the same to you my so-called son!"

"Alright then." Laxus promptly let out a primal roar as he spiked his magic power, the force nearly enough to blow Ivan clear off his feet "You need to face the facts here old man, you've had this coming for a damn long time, and not only that but you no longer have any chance of defeating me."

"I'll believe that when it actually becomes a reality, if it does at all! I said that I would get my hands on the Lumen Histoire no matter what, that limitless magic power will belong to me, I will make my dreams become a reality and all who stand in my way shall be crushed!" Ivan slowly made his way forward to meet Laxus at eye level, and with a primal roar he powered up even further, the black markings covering even more of his body until they covered his entire face, leaving no trace of his humanity behind "I don't care how much power you believe yourself to have, I won't be outdone by the likes of you or anyone else! I can feel it even now, my own power level just keeps rising, there's no limit to the potential behind it! If my own power is capable of this then I can only imagine what the power of the Lumen Histoire is capable of once I acquire it for myself! Go ahead and power yourself up as much as you like, it doesn't make any difference! I'll continue to unleash more and more power from the demon within and leave you in the dust where you belong!"

'His magic power is surging even higher, for all I know he's probably on the same level as the likes of a Wizard Saint. But that being said, it doesn't mean it's too much for me. I don't feel scared or nervous about it at all, if anything I feel kind of excited about it, to see how far I'm gonna be able to go. I guess part of being a wizard means rising to the challenge.'

"I can't overcome the sensation I receive from this, the amount of power coursing through my veins is absolutely unprecedented! For all I know, I may be able to rip apart this entire city with a single spell!"

"Why don't you put your money where your mouth is."

"You seem so sure of yourself, are you sure that you don't wish to increase your power to a higher level, or is this it for you?"

"How about you quit talking shit already, if you bothered to pull that stick out of your ass then you'd know that I already have all the power that I need."

"Are you sure about that? So be it then, but you'll end up regretting that arrogance of yours when I rip you apart one piece at a time! Lightning Demon Judgement BOLT!" Ivan summoned forth a red bolt of lightning.

"Lightning Dragon FIRING HAMMER!" Laxus easily weaved his way around the blast and slammed his fist into the ground, unleashing a wave of electricity that sent Ivan flying high into the air, also causing the Judgement Bolt to evaporate.

"You would use such a cowardly tactic like that, it's a pathetic move that only Makarov's guild would dare to use!" Ivan quickly reboundedand aimed a kick at the back of Laxus' head.

Laxus simply ducked to avoid the kick and then went on to avoid a rapid barrage of punches and kicks that followed 'This is ridiculous, I can see every attack he's throwing as clear as day right now.'

"Are you trying to make a fool out of me?1!"

"You say that like I actually need to, you're doing that all on your own."

"Be silent you wretch! Lightning Demon Sparking Shuriken!" Ivan hurled forward a number of crimson discs made of lightning.

Laxus was able to dodge and weave his way around every single blast with ease, blitzing along the wall of the arena he was near as he did so, and digging his ankles into the wall as he ducked to avoid a few more discs.

Ivan blitzed upwards to meet him at eye level, only to be sent flying across the arena by a sudden shockwave and tumbling across the ground in a heap, but then he quickly rebounded and forced himself to a stop, and he barked out an arrogant laugh "You didn't truly believe that would hurt me did you? Your speed and reflexes are greater than I had anticipated sure, but your attacks as you are now lack the necessary level of power to get the job done. Come then disappointment that I once called my son, feel free to try and prove me wrong. I had led myself to believe that you would be able to do a great deal better than that."

"Actually yeah, I actually can do a metric fuckton better than that, but now I actually feel like showing you how outclassed you really are. Why don't I go ahead and do that?" Laxus' golden electric aura spiked once again.

"Well it does seem like you've enhanced your level of combat prowess, but you still haven't shown me that your bite is as vicious as your bark. Did you believe that I would be intimidated by this level of power alone? All it will do is make it that much more enjoyable when I finally end your miserable existence, so you may as well accept your fate."

"I'm ready for whatever else you can throw at me." on that note, Laxus suddenly blitzed directly behind Ivan and dealt him a swi barrage of punches "Lightning Dragon TALON!" and then he dealt him a lightning-enhanced kick to the face that sent him crashin to the ground.

"There isn't a possible chance that-" Ivan rebounded just in time to to block another strike coming from Laxus, the force of which was enough to create a large shockwave.

"What's the matter old man, is that all you've got for me?" Laxus blitzed around another attack and dealt Ivan a solid kick to the spine that sent him tumbling across the arena "Lightning Dragon ROAR!" and then he hit Ivan with a full power roar that struck Ivan while he was unable to defend himself or counter it, and it sent him tumbling even further back and slamming into a nearby wall.

"DAMMIT!" Ivan let out a surge of lightning magic, his rage shattering the wall around him, though this still went unnoticed thanks to his illusion.

'He's still standing even after all of that, his durability is giving him a lot more than I was expecting from him. Still though, something about those marks seems pretty off, and if what he was saying before it's true then what are the odds of it consuming him? If that does happen the it might kill him, but his power would surge way out of control. I'd better end this before he ends up doing something stupid and reckless. I hope you're ready old man, because I'm about to end this here and now."

"You filthy, arrogant, wretched little… There isn't a chance of that happening, I'm nowhere near through with you yet!" with his rage pushing him over the edge, Ivan's magic power surged even higher, the electricity surging around his body in a very wild fashion.

'His magic power just shot up to a whole different level, based on what I'm seeing he's probably about to make his last stand.'

"If that's what you want then fine, I'm going to throw every ounce of my magic power into this next attack and obliterate you!" Ivan's magic power surged even higher, releasing a barrage of laser-like beams made of crimson electricity in every direction, the sheer power ripping through the entire arena and carving into the ground.

'So now he's resorting to this, now his energy is radiating outwards in every possible direction like a series of laser beams, so he's pretty obviously going for some kind of last resort tactic to use against me. I guess the power of Dragon Force drove him to think that he either had to win now or risk losing against me altogether, he must have given up everything for the sake of power like he said before, and now that power is about to consume him entirely and kill me at the same time. There's no such conquering weapon as the necessity of conquering. Either way he's using it as if it's some sort of fight or flight response, I've gotta take him down now before it turns into something worse.'

"Now you'll burn in hell with the others! Lightning Demon Sparking Shuriken!" Ivan waved his hand and sent forward a series of crimson shuriken, only they were larger and much more potent than before.

Laxus was able to blitz forward and dodge every laser being fired at him, though a few of them ended up grazing his elbow and cut off a few strands of his hair 'This is bad, if one of those things manages to actually hit me then I'll probably be as good as dead, and the way they're coming out I can't risk trying to absorb them either. He's putting out so much power though, is he planning to burn through all of the power he's got left just to take me down? Either way I doubt it would be a good idea to drag this out, I'd better end this with one strike.' he leapt back onto the side of the arena wall to dodge another laser, a golden ball of electricity being summoned into his right hand "This is it old man." he dodged another laser and rebounded off of a piece of nearby rubble "No more of this crap." he dodged more lasers by blitzing across different section of the arena wall "I'm ending this right here."

"Lightning Demon Sparking SHURIKEN!" Ivan subsequently waved both of his hands and sent a barrage of Sparking Shuriken in every direction.

Laxus blitzed through the attack and managed to avoid being hit, albeit just barely "And I'm ending this right now!"

"You're a nimble little wretch I'll give you that, but there's no way you'll be able to dodge this in mid air!" Ivan summoned two identical balls of crimson electricity in each hand "This is the end for you my boy, now DIE! LIGHTNING DEMON THUNDEROUS BURST!" and with all of the power he had left, he fired forward a two handed blast of pure red lightning, sending it hurtling forward and even out of the arena and into the open sky above Crocus.

'Now's my chance!' being sure to time it just right, Laxus used a small burst of electricity to propel himself into the air, and then he used the blast he was charging to grind up the Thunderous Burst until he was right in front of Ivan (still preoccupied with his own attack), and then he held up the blast "Dragon Slayer Secret Art: Indra's Wrath: ROARING THUNDER!" and with that, Laxus promptly fired a full power blast of lightning at Ivan at point blank range.

With no time to think or react, Ivan could only scream in agony as he was sent hurtling into the air by the blast, resulting in a massive explosion that shook the entire arena to its core, as well as dispelled the illusion that he had set up in the process, leaving the aftermath of the true battle for everyone in the colosseum to see.

"What in the name- What's going on down there?!"

"I'll tell you what's going on. The fight that you guys have been watching up until now was nothing but a fake that was made through an illusion. All of the members tried to ambush me during this match because I wouldn't play by their rules, but it failed. As for Alexei himself, you'll see him in a second." this was swiftly followed by Ivan crashing back down to the ground with a loud thud.

"W-Well I'm personally at a complete loss here folks, this is absolutely insane!"

"Here's another thing you might want to think about, Alexei here was really the master of their guild."

"Wait what?!" this was when Mato suddenly popped up on the scene next to Laxus and got a good look at Ivan "I know that face, he's the master of their guild. Holy sweet mother of the Great Pumpkin, Alexei was actually Master Ivan in disguise!"

"Yeah that's what I just said, and for that matter where the hell did you come from?"

"Well apparently the battle that we were witnessing up until now was nothing more than an illusion, but even against overwhelming odds Laxus was able to persevere and defeat not only the entire Raven Tail guild, but also the master of that guild as well! If that doesn't earn him the win and 10 points then I don't know what will. Let's hear it for the winner! As for Raven Tail themselves, not only did all 5 members of their team participate in a one on one match against the rules, but the master of their guild took part in the games as well. This is a blatant violation of the rules of the Grand Magic Games! As I said before, the winner of the third match of the day, if you can really call it a match now, is Laxus Dreyar of Team Fairy Tail B!"

"Yeah yeah, 10 points for us." Laxus shot a glare down at where Ivan's charred and wounded form lay sprawled out on the ground 'You tried to play a bunch of dirty tricks for shits and giggles and to get what you want, but all it got was you getting bitch slapped by karma time and time again. You deserve everything you're gonna get.' he started walking away.

"Wait Laxus… just a moment…" this was when Ivan called out to him, barely having enough strength left to lift his head to meet Laxus eye to eye "I lost this round… I'd be a fool… not to admit that… but there's something… you need to know…" he gave a wicked smirk "The darkest secret… that Fairy Tail strives to hide… that is the Lumen Histoire… The day will come… when you learn that first hand… and then you'll know for sure… what your true family is…" he let out a sinister chuckle before he was taken away by the Rune Knights, with the rest of Raven Tail following not long afterwards, but no one noticed Obra's small monkey creature escape from the scene undetected.

'The Lumen Histoire is the darkest secret of Fairy Tail huh? Whatever you need to tell yourself old man."

"As a result of their actions, Raven Tail has officially been disqualified and are hereby banned from the Grand Magic Games fro the next three years! I think I speak for everyone when I say to them, goodbye and good riddance!"

"No arguments here." and on that note, Laxus promptly took his leave.

Meanwhile, outside the colosseum…

At the same time, Bolt (in his human form) and Jellal (disguised as Mystogan were making their way through the city of Crocus while discussing a certain theory "And that's why in Dragon Ball Super, Grandpa Gohan is the Omni King."

"I can't believe you made that sound as plausible as you did." Jellal muttered "Now explain to me again how Edward Elric is really a homunculus."

"Oh yeah sure, you see it's like this-" he was silenced by a hand being slapped over his mouth, which he promptly bit down on "You should've known that was going to happen, so what the hell was that for?"

"I think we just found something that we can use, I'm sensing that magic power and it's coming from the colosseum."

"We'd better get moving then." and so the two of them took off running "I just hope I didn't miss the chance to see Raven Tail get ripped a new one.

After all of the members of Raven Tail were taken into custody, Mato and the tournament committee were quick to get things back on track by announcing the fourt and final match of the day, which would put Wendy against Sherria Blendy, Sherry's cousin from Lamia Scale.

As the two girls started their battle they seemed to be evenly matched, but then Sherria went on to reveal that she was a Sky God Slayer, much to the shock of everyone in the crowd, as well as to Wendy herself. Despite this, Wendy went on to reveal that she had mastered the Shattering Light: Sky Drill spell that she had received from Porlyusica, along with Milky Way, and she used all of her remaining magic power to cast it and seemingly down Sherria, and the match appeared to be over with Wendy as the victor. However, Sherria suddenly got back up unscathed, with her magic, unlike Wendy's, granting her the ability to heal her own wounds, leaving the rest of Fairy Tail to wonder how she would do in this fight.

As he watched Wendy go through her battle from his place in the stands, Doranbolt was suddenly bumped into by Jellal, leaving him to wonder what Mystogan was doing in Earth Land when his records said otherwise.

At the same time, Bolt was making his way through the stands at full speed, his mind racing as he did so 'Come on, come on, give me some kind of sign already?"

"Bolt it's Jellal, can you hear me?"

"Loud and clear, now give me something I can work with."

"I haven't found anything definitive yet, the only thing that comes to mind is Sherria."

"You mean that Sky God Slayer kid from Lamia Scale? What about her?"

"I hate to say it, but… I think she might be connected to Zeref. If that does turn out to be the case then that means Wendy is in grave danger."

"...You have no idea how many magical girl fans you just pissed off."

"And what does that have to do with the current situation?"

"The fact that you accused a magical girl, aka piece of eye candy, of being evil. Have you ever been on the receiving end of an army of angry fangirls and occasional fanboys trying to kill you for that? I have, and I've got at least 7 scars because of it, almost all of them in places I'd rather not mention."

"Can we get back to what I was saying before about how Wendy might be in grave danger? Do you think I should try and stop them or should I wait and see?"

"The last thing we need is to get screwed over again by another one of our matches getting sabotoged, we're not putting up with any more of that crap. Plus if you do try and pull her out of it then keep this in mind, I've got a battle axe on my back and I'm not afraid to use it."

Now that Sherria was fully healed and Wendy was almost depleted of magic power, the battle between the two of them continued to rage on, with the former casting a high level spell in the form of her Heavenly Gathering of Clouds aimed at the latter. However, it seemed that Wendy had enhanced Sherria's physical strength, causing the attack to gain too much force, and as a result it missed Wendy. After this, the two of them promptly engaged in hand to hand combat with each other, but since neither of them seemed to be getting any leeway, the timer eventually ran out and the fight was declared a draw, resulting in both Team Fairy Tail A and Team Lamia Scales getting 5 points each.

Once the battle was over, Sherria healed Wendy's injuries and asked if they could be friends, which Wendy happily accepted.

Meanwhile, up in the stands…

"Nice work kid." Bolt looked down at the results of the battle with a small smile "You did good down there, you've really come a long way since that shy little kid you were when you first joined Fairy Tail."

"And now they're sealing their newfound friendship, isn't that just the sweetest thing that you've ever laid eyes on?! The Grand Magic Games could end right here and now and I'd be one hell of a happy camper! Of course we do still have a ways to go, keep in mind it's only the end of the third day after all. I'll be seeing all of you tomorrow ladies and gentlemen!"

"Well that wraps things up I guess." Bolt breathed a sigh "Hey Mystogan give me an update, how are things looking on your end?"

"It does seem rather odd, I though the ominous magic power I was sensing would dissipate once the fight had come to an end, but I can still sense it."

"Which means that the Sky God Slayer isn't the cause of it after all, and that means you owe every magical girl in existence an apology."

"We'll deal with that later, for now I think it's heading towards the exit."

"Which means that if we're gonna catch it then we'll have to move fast. Hang tight, I'll go and grab Luke and I'll meet you there."

And now we get into the third day of the Grand Magic Games, and things are heating up more than they ever were before! With Fairy Tail slowly but surely climbing the ranks, I think it's safe to say they were getting a lot of attention now that they've hit their stride. Despite the fact that things seem to be looking up for our heroes, they still have no idea about the sinister forces that are lurking in the shadows, waiting for the right moment to strike.

So yes, the Erza vs 100 monsters happened like in canon, and I was absolutely blown away by how epic it was. This was one of two events that I'm pretty sure the fandom considers to be a gigantic middle finger to Sabertooth and everyone who was looking down on Fairy Tail.

Speaking of giant middle fingers to Sabertooth, the other one that I mentioned was when Cana used Fairy Glitter to max out the MPF counter. This is one of many reasons why Cana is best girl in my eyes, at least in Fairy Tail anyway. Plus I found it really funny that Mavis basically gave her a magic nuke to help her win, and the other characters' reactions were just icing on that cake.

Milliana vs Semes and Eve vs Rufus were pretty much the same as they were in canon, since those fights were kind of boring in my opinion, and I didn't really see any need to change anything about them.

Then we get to the biggest showdown of this chapter: Laxus vs Alexei, or as it should be known, Laxus vs Ivan and the rest of Raven Tail. This one is receiving a much needed overhaul. Don't get me wrong, it was entertaining to see Laxus go and oneshot them all in one go, but considering how much Ivan had been hyped up before now, it seemed kind of a cop out to make him so weak. I've been working to change that for some time, as far back as the end of the Oracion Seis arc for those of you who remember. I think it worked out well enough. Also, before some points this out as a plot hole, yes I'm aware that as a Demon Slayer, Ivan is capable of eating the lightning Laxus produces, and that goes both ways. But if both of them are able to eat the other's lightning, then that will be able to cancel out, so there's no real point in either of them doing it, because if one does it then the other will do it too, and the cycle will never end, and they know that. Also, I want to give a quick shout out to Altajir95, a regular reviewer of this story who gave me some great ideas for spells for Ivan's Lightning Demon Slayer magic. Thank you for all of your help and support with this story.

Wendy and Sherria fighting it out was pretty much the same as canon, I didn't think there was anything really to add there. As for the scenes with Jellal searching for the ominous magic power, the only thing I really added in there was Bolt. I know there's more to it, but since this chapter has gone on for as long as it has, I'll add the conclusion of that in the next chapter.

Just as a little side note, sorry about taking as long as I did to put this chapter out there for you guys. I've had it ready for at least a few days now, but given that the sight has been acting up over the past week, I thought it was for the best that I wait until today to upload it.
