a/n:Sorry if this one seems to drag a bit, it's really just to move through the plot of season 1 and 2 which really do such small things for San Britt that I don't want to spend too much time or energy on them. I've got greater things planned for Season 3 and won't drag the plot as much.
Anyway Track 8:Vigilante Shit
Chapter 2: Vigilante Shit
When school starts up again, Santana, Brittany and Quinn are already ruling the school. There's no need for them to re-establish their dominance as they strut down the halls with Finn, Mike and Matt. Puck had been acting weird recently and didn't want to be around Quinn for some reason, so Santana was dating Matt at the moment. Dating might not be the right way to put it, seeing as they never went out or kissed or did more than walk down the hall with their hands clasped, but they both knew the other was just a status symbol. Besides, she really had no interest in having sex with Puck after all the amazing lady sex she had with Brittany that summer. Sure, it didn't mean anything, it was just good fun, but the same could be said for Puck. Feelings weren't something Santana did when it came to sex, they just muddied things in her opinion. However, that didn't stop her from claiming people as hers. Brittany was HER best friend. Puck was HER boy toy. Matt was HER status symbol. It wasn't wise to cross Santana, knowingly or otherwise. So when she caught Pucks puppy dog eyes set on another woman, Quinn in particular, she was put on high alert. She doubted Quinn would've done anything with Puck- she never put out for Finn, that much was obvious from the oafs complete lack of sex appeal. Having sex makes you inherently sexier. Of course, Quinn seemed to be a bit more sexy so maybe it just didn't work when you were as dopey as Finn Hudson.
He only made things worse for himself by joining the Glee club, which as he told Quinn, wasn't a choice but a requirement after Mr.Schuester found weed in his locker that he swore wasn't his. Santana knew that Finn wasn't cool enough to smoke and wasn't so stupid he'd ruin his reputation for Glee club, and she felt slightly bad for him. Not bad enough to stop making fun of him, though Quinn always kept that relatively tamed, but bad enough that she really hoped she was nowhere near when he got a taste of his own medicine via slushy facial. Unfortunately, she'd be forced to take a small step down the social ladder at Quinns insistence. Apparently Rachel "Man Hands" Berry was trying to get all up on Finn, and after a visually scarring performance of "Push It" at the assembly, Santana was actually inclined to believe the rumor Quinn had sniffed out. After bleaching her brain of that terrifying image she found herself beside Brittany as they performed backup for Quinn as she sang "Say a Little Prayer" which was on the now short list of approved Glee Club songs following "Push It." Luckily, Sue made their stint in Glee club a little more bearable- destroying it from within. Santana loved causing trouble and this was the perfect way to do that and crush Rachel Berry at the same time. I mean, seriously, seeing Rachel was torture. Crushing her was well deserved.
I don't start shit, but I can tell you how it ends
Step one: bring in Dakota Stanley to crush their spirits. Plus it gave the Unholy Trinity a well-deserved confidence boost. Leave it to that troll Rachel to ruin a perfectly good plan. What a waste of money too. Seriously, where'd she get the idea she was worth anything?
Things go from bad to worse when Quinn finds out she's pregnant. She tells her and Brittnay before Finn, who spreads the news to Puck. Santana has a feeling Finn isn't the father and that her mohawked boy toy was to blame, but she isn't sure yet. On the brightside, Kurt joining the football team and scoring the gayest field goal she has ever seen gets Matt, Mike and Puck to join the Glee club. This gives her just another excuse to be there when losers think it's okay to talk to her. Unfortunately, within just a couple weeks the entire club knows about Quinn's pregnancy and it won't take long before Santana figures out what's really going on. In the meantime, Quinn's social status crashes as her pregnancy is revealed to the school under Sue's orders and she is kicked off the Cheerios. As much as this works in Santana's favor, landing her he position of co-captain, she does feel a little bad. Of course, she was pretty sure the baby was Puck's, and it was only right Quinn face the consequences of crossing Santana.
Don't get sad, get even
Despite the drama of having to choose between football and Glee at one point being given as an ultimatum for the boys, and Glee becoming more unpopular than ever, Santana manages to keep her spot at the top of the food chain secure as Quinn falls lower and lower. Even more depressing is that Puck went out with Rachel for a few days. Santana refused to sleep with him for a week after that. As if things couldn't get worse after slushie-geddon as the Glee kids had taken to calling the week they got slushied the most, Mr.Schue had them rolling around in wheelchairs and hosting a bake sale. At least Puck did something semi attractive by lacing the cupcakes with weed, but Glee was really starting to kill her rep. She could leave, but the truth was that deep down she actually enjoyed it and so did Brittany. She'd never leave Brittany and Brittany would never leave Glee so her decision was easily made for her. The next few weeks go by and her and Brittany, despite enjoying Glee, still keep up their end of the bargain with Sue, though it isn't hard with her co-director privileges for her to do just about everything herself. Despite feeling feisty and in the mood to stir up trouble, Santana remains silent about Puck's involvement with Quinn's ever present baby bump. She doesn't, however, refrain from sexting him while he's babysitting with Quinn to give everyone a reminder of who he belongs to. However, everything nearly falls apart just before Sectionals when Rachel finds out the truth about the baby. Finn quits Glee yet again, which honestly Santana just finds incredibly overdramatic at this point, before coming back like the well trained dog he is. It's laughable that Quinn thought she could keep up her lie and try to keep Berry away from Finn. She was far too pregnant to do anything effectively.
Despite Quinn's inept ability to keep a man tied down, though Puck was starting to get whipped, Santana and Brittany are certain they can get Finn away from Rachel. They get a free meal at Breadstix out of a three person date with the dope. They hardly seduce him on this date, but it does piss off Rachel which is enough to keep Santana happy. She needed to cause a little chaos, and this did the trick. However, their task was to seduce him as Sue said, and Santana takes Finn's virginity not too long after the first date. They rent a hotel room and as terrible as Finn was, she still had fun doing it. She never enjoyed sex with men much anyway so it was no surprise an inexperienced boy like Finn couldn't please her. It was a sense of pride knowing she had something Rachel would never have, and she would definitely find a way to use it to her advantage in the future. The time between then and their loss at Regionals is rather uneventful. Quinn gets fatter. Puck acts like a stupid boy more. Rachel and Finn keep up their "Will they/won't they" bullshit and her and Brittany continue their sexcapades. Brittany had slipped up and briefly mentioned it a few months ago but unlike Quinn, Santana's secrets never saw the light of day. She was still powerful and scary. All she knew is that summer was bound to be crazy now that Quinn's baby was adopted by Rachel's biological mother. Okay, so things have been weird and going on, but not for Santana. Sure she did some sabotage, but honestly there were other vigilantes at work. She just started back and watched the show.
So on the weekends
Summer came again, and Santana spent it doing what she did the previous two summers- going to Cheerios bootcamp. However, there was one other thing she did, and it demoted her to the bottom of the period when school started. She had been happy when Quinn found a way back onto the Cheerios but then Quinn stabbed her in the back
"You did this to me, you told Coach Sylvester about my summer surgery." Santana pushes Quinn into the lockers
"You have a surgery when you get your appendix out, you got a BOOB JOB" Quinn criticizes
"Yup sure did" Santana slaps hers
"You can't hit me" Quinn says
"Oh, sure I can, unless you got yourself knocked up again SLUT" Santana growls
They tussle in the hall and Brittany says "Stop the violence".
Mr Schue eventually breaks up the fight but not before they both get a couple more verbal jabs in. Santana stalks away angrily. Quinn just didn't get it. She didn't understand why she got the boob job. No one did and no one ever would. She wouldn't tell them that she was insecure. That she thought, maybe, that was the source of insecurity. Deep down what was really bothering her was the fact that she was completely in love with Brittany, but admitting that was scary. So instead she would just get meaner. Everyone could enjoy the view but Snixx was ready for any fight the world had to offer
I don't dress for friends
The next week Brittany had an identity crisis over Britney Spears and Santana was the only one to support her until Britt could learn to love Britney too. Finn found religion in Grilled cheese, something Santana really couldn't understand, and his relationship with Rachel continued to be incredibly annoying. She and Brittany get paired up for a duet and recreate their dream sequence duet of Me Against The Music. However, they get very little attention for it and don't even get their own roles in Rocky Horror, except for Santana getting the lips. They also catch Ms.Pillsbury and Mr.Schue practically have sex in school while practice "Toucha Toucha Touch Me" and after being incredibly disturbed they run off to toucha toucha touch each other. They have another Mash Off which by Santana's standards was another win for the girls but honestly they never actually found out who won these. Sue still wanted them infiltrating the Glee club and causing chaos but Santana really didn't care to give in to her coach's demands after the boob job incident. Besides, her mind is far busier worrying about how in love with Brittany she really is. She'd kept it under wraps and controlled for two years but the more they dated other people the harder it got to keep things hidden. It's especially hard watching Brittany with Artie while she pretends to still be with Puck after he gets out of juvie. She isn't exactly inspired to take action when Kurt leaves the school due to the bullying he was receiving for being gay. She knew it wasn't the same but was scared nonetheless. Instead she focuses on causing trouble, something she's good at. She reveals to Rachel that she took Finn's virginity. In her mind, if she can't be happy, neither can anyone else. And without Brittany, she's not happy, even after she practically wins Sectionals single-handed with her performance of "Valerie". Christmas comes soon after and Santana ensures that no one ruins Santa for Brittany. Well, Artie does most of the work visibly, but Santana is behind the scenes making sure that those who would usually disregard Artie don't. After Winter Break, she is forced to make a decision along with Brittany and Quinn between Glee Club and Cheerios. At first it seems obvious to choose Cheerios, but when Sue insists on shooting Brittany out of cannon, they finally quit in time to join a very important performance at the football game's halftime show.
Lately I've been dressing for revenge
It's weird not wearing her Cheerios uniform to school, but she makes the most of it. She also doesn't let up on being a bitch. It's even more important she keeps up her rep now that she isn't a Cheerio. The first thing she does is expose Finn for cheating on Rachel with Quinn by giving Finn mono, and he in turn gives it to Quinn. Santana thinks that's the only good thing about Valentine's day that year, after all she had to watch Artie sing PYT to her girl. Since she can't have Brittany and she still thoroughly enjoys terrorizing Quinn, she starts dating Sam who is a boy replica of Brittany. However, she reveals her own insecurities when she worries about Sam not liking her while drunk, when in reality she feels these things about Brittany. Of course, her and Brittany can bond over puking in front of the entire school, right?
Soon after, Santana finally reveals her emotions to Brittany through song with help from Holly Holiday. They sing Landslide as a trio and Santana later confesses her feelings more clearly by their lockers. However, Brittany can't actually love her due to Artie, and Santana is hurting more than ever. She stays with Sam despite having no real feelings for him, hoping it can at least partially fill the hole left by Brittany. Of course, dedicating a song to his gigantic lips wasn't the smartest plan and somehow Brittany's song about a cup with Artie seemed more romantic. Still, deep down she's trying to get better about accepting herself and even stands up to Karofsky alongside Kurt and Blaine. This also gives her insight into Karofsky's place in the same closet she's in and she plans to use him to help her with her prom queen campaign. Perhaps that will impress Brittany enough to leave Artie for her. Brittany obviously cares, she gives Santana a shirt that says "Lebanese", meaning to put Lesbian, and really wants Santana to learn to accept herself. Santana refuses- revealing her identity wasn't something she was ready to do, and it once again costs her Brittnay. In the meantime she focuses on protecting Kurt with Karofsky as the Bully Whips. That's something she's good at. To her surprise, Brittany's many attempts to out her (intentional or not) eventually seem to lead to her breakup with Artie. Artie thinks Santana is manipulating her and calls her stupid for not realizing. That is the final straw that breaks them up, and Santana again professes her love through song- this time via Songbird. She even almost comes out on Fondue for Two before Prom but chickens out at the last minute. She reveals to Brittany at Prom how scared she is, but Brittnay reminds her that Kurt has it worse as he had just won Prom Queen as a write-in. Santana goes to support him… he was so much braver than her. The remainder of the year is focused on Nationals which Rachel and Finn ruin with a kiss. Fuming, Santana goes into summer angry at the world for a variety of reasons but at least happy to know she and Brittany can be together, even if unofficially, for the summer. When she returns the next school year all hell will break loose.
I'm on my vigilante shit again.
a/n:Not my proudest chapter but sometimes plot has to be dealt with and this song just didn't have a story I wanted to tell in this fic.
