He who is sleeping

In the dark place under the wave. He is sleeping with half open eyes. Waiting and watching for the day that light will come to his land again,

a small tentacles creatures moving around him like an insect.

The light then shining, brighter more than ever.

He opens his eyes and ready to be awakened, his long arm start moving.

And then the lights faded out, leaving him in the dark again.

He then closes his eyes. There is no hurry, time is not important here.

Inside his dreams, ancient one wonder what it feels like to be able to fully awake again.

Ninomae Ina'nis

Ina woke up with a start, her body is covered in sweats as she stumbling to get up from her bed. Like always, she couldn't remember her dreams.

But it is filled with something that horribly wrong, enough to make she jumps out of her bed and dismissed the idea of sleeping tonight.

Ina put three sedatives pills in her mouth and wash it down with a glass of water, and then open her window to watch the night sky.

A cold breeze lifted her spirits up somehow as Ina is looking at the beautiful stars in the distance. The moon is bright as ever, shiny over the busy night in

New York.

Ina then decided to get help. She will call Ozora Subaru tomorrow and discussed about her symptoms.

Something is happening and Ina doesn't like the direction where it goes.

After a while, Ina'nis finally calm down enough to close her window and goes back to her bed. She wrapping 'cover' crystal around her neck and watch wearily

as the item shine its blue light. This thing seems to ease her spirits somehow. At least for Ina to tries sleeping again.

She didn't pay attention at the sky again. So, she never noticed that the moon is following her movements, as if it was an eye of the predator that keep

watching its prey.

Laplus Darkness

Subaru find Laplus sitting on the bench near the massive mosque. So, she sits beside her as they start talking without looking at each other.

" Do you know that when people still call this city Constantinople.

I was with them when the city is going to falls by the attack of Turks.

I warned emperor that he should retreat or calling for help from the west. But he ignored my advice until it was too late."

"And?" Subaru sipped her coffee.

" My points is that people always ignore the sights of destruction that clearly await. They will close their eyes and open it when everything is too late."

Laplus sighed.

" Then I hope I am not too late this time." Subaru smiles.

" I am calling for help. And need everyone from your group.

Maybe another too." She explains.

Laplus amused. " Bold of you. Do you realized that if Iroha sees you sitting here. Honor will demand her to cut your head off, right?"

Subaru didn't look up, despite remember the night when groups of ninjas leading by Iroha suddenly attacks her office.

And probably got her head too if Calliope that sneak in to steal Subaru 's Chateau wine wasn't around by pure luck.

Laplus actually laughed. A swarm of crows that Subaru just realized that they are surrounding them on the building roof, suddenly stopped their normal birds

behavior and looks at her.

" Nothing to watch here. Get off." Laplus wave her hand, and every crows suddenly decides that they want to fly somewhere else.

" So the attack is actually coming? I watch it in the stars, but not so sure." Laplus asks.

Subaru shook her head. " I am not so sure, either."

Takane Lui

Lui dig some more dirt out of the stone castle ground. After a week of waiting and measuring during days and avoiding tourists.

She finally locates the direction where the light will shine on, and where her people's item should be hidden.

Humanity knows only that during the right time. The sun will shine on the castle window and show its seven colors light.

But archeologists thinks that it is only to show a power of castle owner with cool rainbow and all that.

Lui knows better than that. In almost every civilizations. People warship birds as some kind of gods or a terrifying monster.

Some people said that it is because they can fly, and human couldn't properly understand it.

Experience tells Lui otherwise.

From the thunderbird of North America to the Quetzalcoatl's from Aztec civilization, Roc from Middle East mythology, Garuda from India and Southeast Asia

or Valkyrie from Norse mythology.

People believes in avian sentient beings that have their own life and civilizations.

Which is why Lui has do dig this castle up in the middle of the night. ( To avoid unwanted attention.) The Myths are real, and everything are connected.

Lui finally dig the thing out. It is an orange sharp-looking eyeglass.

Lui quickly put it in her bag when her cell phone rang. She picks up after looking at the number.

" Y.M.D." She said the password, as Laplus start speaking.

" Yes. Master." Lui already booking her flight back to Israel.

Kazama Iroha

Iroha is sitting on the stadium and enjoying her tinned fruit salad, as a groups of marines running pass her during their evening exercise.

Some soldier waves at her so Iroha wave back. She has been here for a few months as their special CQC tutor.

People may have a lot of issue from working in US Military Units, but at least they are somewhat well paid.

Every money Iroha can gain will be in the HoloX purse. So, she has nothing to complain about.

Iroha sighed as she saw one marine falling after running on the slippery floors. Still, people nowadays are bunch of softies.

They know no art of slashing sword three hundred time in 1 second or creating a mirage of themselves during the fight anymore. For all Iroha knows.

They probably forget how to move with supersonic speed too. A trick that nearly every samurai in her villages can do.

Iroha didn't know the difference between terrorists and freedom fighter that much. But she guesses that her village is somewhat between those two.

She couldn't exactly remember. Anyways, that is why Air strike plane with Akukin logo suddenly drop bombs on her village and killing everyone.

Except from Iroha and some other friends that swears on revenge.

Master Laplus said that one day everything will clear, and Iroha is still waiting for that day, while contacting with Usaken and looking for the best ways to

destroys Akukin and everything under its wing.

A phone call suddenly interrupted Iroha train of thoughts. So, she picks it up.

" Yes My Dark." She said, at the end of line. Laplus sighed.

" So you are still with us right? I need your sword and skills now. Get back here." Laplus demanded.

" Understood." Iroha bows toward the west direction as she keeps on speaking.

" May I asks what happened?" She asks.

" I will find someone with better explanations later. Now get back here!"

Iroha running at the nearest military airplane, showing her card and said that she needs to get to Jerusalem in 24 hours.

" I am on my way. Lord of Darkness." Iroha said as she is sitting on the running plane.

" Already?" Laplus exclaimed. " Wait a minute, Iroha. It would be better if you met me at Seattle. Things got handy here."

Iroha kicks the pilot door open.

" My master said that she need me at Seattle." Iroha declared.

Giant salamander moves slowly in the blue water. This strange liquid makes his skin itchy. So, he is trying to close her eyes as long as possible and didn't

realized that there is a hand which suddenly snatched him from the swimming pool.

Sakamata Chloe

" Gotcha!" Chloe shouts as she is climbing out of the pool and look at middle-aged woman who stares at her. Unimpressed.

" I got your intruder. Where is my money?" Chloe opens her palm, while another hand is holding a twitching animal tightly.

Woman give her 500 yuan.

" Seriously, Mrs.? Even streamer got more than that nowadays!" Chloe complained.

" Then go ahead and become one." The woman walks away.

Chloe cursed after her in Atlantean language. But give up and walks out of the house.

She is now working as a half freelancer who anything that anyone want, for cash. From fixing pipe to find a missing dog.

And sometimes, catch a wild animal that sneak in city. Like this endangered giant Chinese salamander.

Since Chloe don't know where she should let it go. So, orca girl simply carries it on her shoulders as she goes back to her house.

A small cave near Yangtze River.

When she reaches her home. Chloe let salamander to walking around the wet Stoney place as she prepared their dinners.

A fish that she has steals from nearby fish cage.

Every money she finds will belong to HoloX community. So Chloe has to find food by herself.

After grilling that fish over fire, which is something she newly learned. Chloe then starts talking with skulls of Baiji river dolphins.

This pair are male and female, possibly last of their kind.

Chloe saw the male one getting hit by boat and sinks in the river during her swim. She carries it to the shore and communicated with the thing long enough

to understand that he is finding some fish for his pregnant mate that still waits for his return.

So, Chloe finds some fish and swimming across the river to find the female, which is almost impossible due to the sound of the boat that covered the whole

river, blocking her sonars. And human wasted that make water almost completely black didn't help improve her vision that much.

When Chloe finally finds the animal, the female dolphin is already dead, getting wrapped in the fisherman's net and unable to get out before she will running

out of air.

Chloe spends the rest of that day destroying every fishing net she find, but soon realized how pointless her act is and swimming back with dolphin carcass

on her back.

Humans are strong and Baiji dolphins are weak, which is why they are all dead. Only strong survives.

There is nothing cruel in what happening, and yet she starting to understand why her sister always helping the poor.

Emotions are one hell of a complicate thingy.

Deep down inside her genetic, Chloe is also a social animal after all. And every social survives by helping each other.

When she finally gets back. The male Baiji is already shocking and dying by the wound it got. So, Chloe told him that his mate thanks him for the fish before

sinking her knife in the dolphin heart.

After the progress, Chloe then eats both of them. So, they can be together again, and she is not going to let their meat go wastes.

Chloe also keeps their skulls in her cave as some sort of companion.

As she is feeding a salamander with some small fishes she finds. Her phone rang.

Chloe looks at number and answer. " Yamada! What is it?"

" For the millions time, Chloe. It isn't that hurt to say 'yes my dark'!" Laplus yelled.

" It's sound cringed. So, don't wanna." Chloe said cheerfully.

Laplus clear her throat. " Anyways, I need you at Seattle. As soon as possible. Are we cleared?" Laplus ordered.

" I will go there. But where are Seattle again?" Chloe asks.

" In America. Just asks the local. They probably telling you how to get there."

" Okay." Chloe said and hung up.

She looks at the salamander in her hand.

" Do you want to visit America?"

Vestia Zeta

Zeta yawns and push her cat away from her Notebooks, she is on hiatus from the usual job at T.S.A.U. ( The Secret Archive Unit.) that has 7 branches in 7

continents around the world.

Their job is to make sure that humanity must survive from encounter with supernatural being and if possible, safety for both sides.

Whether they have to face alien, Bigfoot, Loch Ness monster or cursed object. T.S.A.U. will deal with it.

The reason of Zeta hiatus is not fair in her opinion. Who could know that those Haaton's cultist attempts to open the portal to another dimension will end up

with eight leg monsters running around anyways?

And Zeta is the one who deal with it. By activating a thermobaric bomb in the middle of the city and barely get out alive.

T.S.A.U. labored the incident as an attack from another country and inform Zeta to stop working for a while, which is mean forever.

Zeta still gets half of her salary, which is a big problem for someone who have to feed 7 cats. So, she is running out of money and option now.

Today's Zeta is working on part time job with archeologists to find some ancient alien civilizations. Personally, Zeta interested in the owl coins they find

on the shipwreck near the island.
