He recoiled.

Hawks was not exactly proud to admit it, but he certainly did not expect to see such a weapon in the possession of a (to him, at least) harmless-looking girl.

The blond then mentally berated himself for such actions.

"Miko-chan," Hawks wiggled uncomfortably, trying to flatten his wings as best as he could so he could crawl under the bed as well, "Is that yours?" He gestured to the sword, to which Miko tensed at, "Do you use in tandem with your Quirk?"

Miko slowly reached out to the sword with a blue hilt, and for a brief second, her lifeless eyes seemed to light up, "Kurikaramaru." She simply said, slumping her head against one of the many pillows.

Hawks grinned, unable to fully come under the bed because of his wings, "Is that the sword's name?" He asked, boasting to himself on the inside because he had gotten her to say quite a few words in his first encounter while the HPSC had only gotten her to say only one word in a few years, "It's a cool name~"

Miko looked up from her pillow, idly staring at his wings again, or what he could fit underneath the bed anyway. Her pale, but cute face seemed to scrunch up as if she were trying to remember something and it went on for quite a while.

Hawks simply let it happen with a lazy smile on his face.

The red feather he had given her was held up in her fingers as she studied it for a moment before looking at him again, "A-are you–" Her voice was still raspy from disuse and she swallowed, "Tengu?"

Hawks blinked.

"Ah, no," He waved his hands around, "My wings are my Quirk! They're called Fierce Wings!" He had no idea where she could have come to the conclusion she came to as he absently rubbed his nose, "Tengu and all that are just legends and mythology – stories to awe and scare us when we were kids!"

Miko looked at him dubiously.

The blond laughed a bit awkwardly and glanced around with his keen eyes at the other few scattered items. He cocked his head at the sight of the small spinning top, but decided not to question it. He spotted a rosary with light blue beads and a long red piece of cloth that perhaps could be a scarf. It was the last item that intrigued him the most after the sword, "Is that a mask of some sort, Miko-chan?"

Blue eyes blinked slowly as she picked up the metal mask that clearly was a filter mask. It looked rather obsolete and almost... traditional if he had to pick a word to describe it. However, if it worked for Miko, he certainly would not stop her from using it if she did so.

"I'm sorry to say, we can't spend the day sleeping here, Miko-chan," Hawks grinned apologetically towards the girl, who did not visibly react to his words, "Today is the today they actually officially announce that I am the No. 2 Hero!" His grin widened and Miko observed how Hawks' golden eyes seemed to sparkle.

"And we'll get to meet Endeavor-san!"
