It was time.
"I can do this alone," Miko looked at him, angering him with her apathetic face and he wondered how Hawks could take it all the time, "This Nue lookalike has six abilities that you like to call 'Quirks'?"
"Did they screw with your brain?" It was only thing Endeavor could think of with her bizarre behaviour, "Were you experimented on?"
Miko suddenly looked at the window again, "It's going down!" She warned, "The windows aren't protected there! It will–!" Abruptly, the building was shaking and sliding sideways rather quickly.
"The building is collapsing!" Endeavor was quick to grab Miko and get before they went down with it, "That bastard better be doing his job of evacuating people!"
"I did not know Fire Oni could fly," Miko said in Endeavor's arms who was pushing her towards his shoulders and ultimately, his back, A hard nostalgia hit her as she wrapped her arms his neck, "What are you waiting for? There's the Tengu."
"I can't even comment on how strange you are," Endeavor almost rolled his eyes before his fingers burned hotly, "I'll cut it into bits and burn them off!" Whips of fire were sent straight through the falling part of the building before exploding, sending debris everywhere.
"You don't cook very often, do you, Endeavor-san?" Hawks tumbled onto the rooftop, attempting to slow his fall with his wings, "Your 'bits' are chopped too roughly! You gotta chop them evenly!" He looked up and grinned, "Miko-chan, I bet you would be a good cook, right?"
Miko ignored him, "Throw me up there," She stated, causing Endeavor to look at her strangely and Hawks to gape, "It has abilities. You want it alive, yes?" She received nods and inwardly sighed, just wanting to purify the creature and be done with it, "I can seal them with Kurikaramaru."
"Do you have a secret technique to fly then, Miko-chan?" Hawks asked with a tight-lipped smile and got a dry look in return, "Then no way in hell! I'm supposed to protect you!"
"Then I'm sure you will catch me," Miko simply retorted, "Or maybe the Flamed-Wreathed Oni will, it doesn't matter who as long as I can stab that Nue lookalike six times."
"Who...is...strongest?"
Miko launched forward, using Endeavor's chest as she unsheathed her sword. Her blue eyes darkened at the sight of the creature that brought up muddled memories, "Kurikaramaru!" She stabbed it right through from the back to the stomach while it let out a noise while they both fell to the ground and the monster cushioned the blow for her.
"You...strongest?"
"Perhaps," Miko ripped Kurikaramaru from the Nomu, not sure what ability she had she just sealed away, "Guess we will have to find out." She held the sword in front of her, clearing her mind of anything but defeating the enemy.
"I...want...strongest!"
Miko watched with a dark expression as the Nomu leapt upwards and there was flash of flames that could probably be seen by the whole city, "Coward," She murmured, "But I suppose even something like that knows to avoid someone like me."
It looked as though the creature had just burned to ashes, but its head had survived and was regenerating extremely quickly.
'I didn't seal the regeneration ability,' Miko thought, moving her arm back, 'But maybe this will get something important!' She watched as the creature's head moved right at Endeavor and she had a clear shot, "Kurikaramaru!"
She must have been a second too late as Nomu's regenerating body had managed to hit Endeavor in his face before her sword pierced the abomination. It shrieked, attempting to pull it out, only to be met with shocks of intense pain.
The Nomu fell to the ground not far from when Endeavor had crashed to, screaming in agony from Kurikaramaru. Miko and Hawks pretty much got there at the same time, though both went to tend to a different being.
Miko ripped Kurikaramaru out and Hawks shivered at how dark her eyes looked – a look he had never seen before on Miko's cute face, "You have injured the Flaming Oni. I care not if they want you alive. I will kill you, right here and right now."
Kurikaramaru glowed white and with a simple slash to the Nomu, it let out a wretched cry before dissolving into sparkling ashes.
Hawks could only gape.
